Description
樹脂は架橋していても、実質的に架橋していなくてもよい。樹脂混合物は、1種、または2種もしくは3種以上などの複数の樹脂を含んでもよい。樹脂混合物中の樹脂の合計量は、樹脂混合物の約1重量%〜約99重量%、例えば約10重量%〜約95重量%、または約20重量%〜約90重量%であってもよい。
30gの非晶質樹脂1、N−メチル−N−エタノールパーフルオロオクタンスルホンアミド(Mw=44120、Tg開始=56.8℃)を30gのメチルエチルケトン(MEK)と3gのイソプロピルアルコール(IPA)との混合物と混合した。次いで、この溶液を60℃の水浴中で混合し樹脂を溶解した。
30gの試料1を100mLのプラスチックボトルに移した。10%の水酸化アンモニウム0.88g(中和率(ration)85%)をプラスチックボトルに添加し、次いで、混合物を振盪によって十分に混合した。
Claims (14)
- ラテックスまたは分散液を調製する方法であって、
少なくとも1種の樹脂を有機溶媒と接触させて樹脂混合物を形成する工程;
塩基性中和剤で該樹脂混合物を中和する工程;
連続式で該樹脂混合物を蒸気流れにさらし、混合ゾーンに前記樹脂混合物及び前記蒸気流れを連続的にポンプ輸送して、前記混合ゾーン内で前記樹脂混合物と前記蒸気流れが接触するラテックスを形成することにより、分散液を形成する工程;及び
前記混合ゾーンから前記ラテックスを除去する工程;
を含み、
前記混合ゾーンでの前記ラテックスの形成は機械的混合を必要としない、方法。 - 前記有機溶媒が、ケトン、アルコール、エステル、ニトリル、スルホン、スルホキシド、ホスホルアミド、ベンゼン、アミン、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記樹脂混合物に導入される蒸気が約80℃〜約150℃である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記塩基性中和剤が、水酸化アンモニウム、炭酸ナトリウム、水酸化カリウム、水酸化ナトリウム、重炭酸ナトリウム、水酸化リチウム、炭酸カリウム、トリエチルアミン、トリエタノールアミン、ピリジン、ジフェニルアミン、ポリ(エチレンアミン)、アミン塩基、ピペラジン、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記有機溶媒が、樹脂混合物に接触して蒸気を導入する際に自発的に蒸発する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記樹脂はアモルファス樹脂、結晶性樹脂、及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記分散液が約5nm〜約1000nmの粒径を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 蒸気注入が広域の乱流の混合を引き起こすのに十分な乱流である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- トナーを形成する方法であって、
有機溶媒および塩基性中和剤に樹脂を接触させて樹脂混合物を形成する工程;
連続式で該樹脂混合物を蒸気流れにさらし、混合ゾーンに前記樹脂混合物及び前記蒸気流れを連続的にポンプ輸送して、前記混合ゾーン内で前記樹脂混合物と前記蒸気流れが接触するラテックスを形成することにより、分散液を形成する工程;
前記混合ゾーンから前記ラテックスを除去する工程;
該分散液、任意の着色剤および任意のワックスを含むプレトナー混合物から粒子を凝集させる工程;および
凝集した粒子を合体させてトナー粒子を形成する工程
を含み、
前記混合ゾーンでの前記ラテックスの形成は機械的混合を必要としない、方法。 - 前記樹脂はアモルファス樹脂、結晶性樹脂、及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記有機溶媒が、ケトン、アルコール、エステル、ニトリル、スルホン、スルホキシド、ホスホルアミド、ベンゼン、アミン、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記塩基性中和剤が、水酸化アンモニウム、炭酸ナトリウム、水酸化カリウム、水酸化ナトリウム、重炭酸ナトリウム、水酸化リチウム、炭酸カリウム、トリエチルアミン、トリエタノールアミン、ピリジン、ジフェニルアミン、ポリ(エチレンアミン)、アミン塩基、ピペラジン、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記分散液が約5nm〜約1000nmの粒径を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記樹脂混合物に導入される蒸気が約80℃〜約150℃である、請求項1に記載の方法。
