Claims (8)
- 被写体に対して照明光を供給し、任意のデューティ幅でPWM可能な光源と、
前記PWMによる光量制御を許可する期間を示す数値のデータが入力可能であり、前記データの前記数値を最大のデューティ幅とし、該最大のデューティ幅から最小のデューティ幅の間でデューティ幅を設定する第1の制御を前記光源に行う光源制御部と、
を有する光源装置と、
前記光源装置と別体に設けられ、前記PWMによる光量制御を許可する期間を示す数値のデータが格納され、かつ前記光源装置に着脱可能な撮像装置と、
前記撮像装置に格納された前記データを読み出し、前記データの数値を前記光源制御部における前記最大のデューティ幅に設定する読み出し部と、
を具備することを特徴とする撮像システム。 - 前記光源制御部は、更に、前記第1の制御により前記最小のデューティ幅になった後にさらに前記PWMによる光量制御を許可する期間以外における発光を制御する第2の制御を前記光源に行うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の撮像システム。
- 前記光源制御部において、前記第2の制御として、前記PWMによる光量制御を許可する期間以外に前記被写体に対する前記照明光を供給せず、前記PWMによる光量制御を許可する期間に前記被写体に対する前記照明光を供給する制御を行うことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の撮像システム。
- 前記光源制御部は、前記光源に供給する駆動電流の振幅を、供給しえる最大値と最小値との間で増減させるように制御する第3の制御を行い、前記第3の制御後にさらに前記照明光の光量を制限する必要がある場合に前記第1の制御を行うことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の撮像システム。
- 前記光源制御部は、前記第2の制御として、前記PWMによる光量制御を許可する期間以外に前記被写体に対する前記照明光を供給せず、前記期間以外に供給されている光量積分値と等しい光量積分値の光を前記PWMによる光量制御を許可する期間内に供給するように前記照明光の供給タイミングを変更する制御を行い、
前記撮像装置は、さらに、前記照明光の供給タイミング変更後の前記光源に供給する駆動電流の値と、パルス幅の値とを表すデータが格納されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の撮像システム。 - 前記光源は、複数の半導体光源からなり、
前記光源制御部は、前記複数の半導体光源の中の1つの半導体光源の発光パターンを制御するとともに、前記複数の半導体光源のうちの他の前記半導体光源の発光パターンを、前記1つの半導体光源に追従させて制御することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の撮像システム。 - 前記光源制御部は、前記光源からの前記照明光の立ち上がりのタイミング及び立ち下がりのタイミングを表す発光情報を記憶するメモリを有し、前記発光情報に基づいて、前記光源の消灯開始タイミングを補正することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の撮像システム。
- 前記撮像装置は、前記被写体を撮像する撮像素子を有し、
前記撮像素子が電子シャッタ機能を有する際に、電子シャッタを制御する電子シャッタ制御部を有し、
前記光源制御部は、前記発光情報に基づいて、前記電子シャッタの露光タイミングがPWMによる発光が安定している期間に開始されるシャッタタイミングを検出し、
前記電子シャッタ制御部は、前記光源制御部により検出された前記シャッタタイミングに基づいて、前記電子シャッタを制御することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の撮像システム。
