Description
The present invention relates to a receiving device, a receiving method, and a program in visible light communication.
In recent years, visible light sources have been used not only for illumination purposes for obtaining light but also for communication purposes. This contributes to the widespread use of light emitting diodes (LEDs) as visible light sources. The light emitting diodes are superior to conventional visible light sources in terms of their lifetime, size, and power consumption, although the amount of light emitted per element does not reach that of conventional visible light sources such as incandescent bulbs and fluorescent lamps. In addition to the above characteristics, the light-emitting diode has a characteristic that the response speed is very fast. Moreover, it is easy to electrically control the light emission of the light emitting diode. Since light emitting diodes have the characteristics described above, in recent years, research and development have been conducted for use not only in lighting applications for obtaining light but also in signal transmission applications using blinking of visible light. For example, Non-Patent

の変調信号M(i)の系列M(1)、M(2)、…を生成し、当該変調信号M(i)の系列M(1)、M(2)、…

<Transmitter 8: Light Emitting Unit 82>
The light emission

<Symbol clock synchronization>
When transmitting information on a communication channel, it is common to encode the original information in some form. A minimum unit signal constituting encoded information is called a symbol. In a digital communication channel, a symbol clock (information indicating a time width used when transmitting one symbol) of the transmitter is received in order to correctly decode the encoded information transmitted from the transmitter by the decoder. It is important to detect on the device side. This is called symbol clock synchronization between the receiving device and the transmitting device. It is desirable that symbol clock synchronization is always performed during communication. This is because, in general, there is no means for sharing the same oscillator between the receiving device and the transmitting device, and therefore synchronization may always shift.
<同期部93>
<Synchronizer 93>

<復号部94>

The
When a photodetector is used as the light receiving element, it is easy to use a symbol timing reproduction circuit as described in
Furthermore, when an image sensor is used as the light receiving element, the throughput (data transmission amount per unit time) between the image sensor and a general processing device at the subsequent stage is generally limited, so the number of pixels × sample The conversion frequency cannot exceed a certain value. For this reason, if the sampling frequency is increased, the number of pixels must be reduced, and as a result, the number of light receiving elements provided in one receiving apparatus must be reduced. On the other hand, when a receiving apparatus having an upper limit on the sampling frequency is used, it is necessary to increase the blinking period of the transmitter (decrease the blinking frequency) in order to perform accurate symbol clock synchronization. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a receiving apparatus that can make the sampling frequency required for symbol timing reproduction smaller than the conventional one.
The receiving apparatus of the present invention is a receiving apparatus that performs visible light communication with a transmitting apparatus, and includes a light receiving element, a received signal generation unit, a series output unit, and a synchronization unit.
The light receiving element receives an optical signal from the transmission device and outputs an electrical signal corresponding to the optical signal. The reception signal generation unit measures the intensity of the electrical signal at predetermined time intervals and outputs the measurement result as a series of reception signals for each index. The sequence output unit includes the length of the temporary decoding result sequence when the temporary decoding result sequence is generated using the received signal sequence and the synchronization error parameter and the maximum luminance parameter in the previous sequence of the received signal. A predetermined series having the same length is output. The synchronization unit calculates a parameter of synchronization deviation and a parameter of maximum brightness using L1 norm minimization using a sequence of received signals and a predetermined sequence.
According to the receiving apparatus of the present invention, the sampling frequency required for symbol timing reproduction can be made smaller than before.

<受光部11>

Equation (1) is a sequence M ^ '= [M ^' (1),..., M ^ '(K by the least square method using the observed received signal B' (i) and the parameter TI of the synchronization error as a clue. )].

In Equation (2), TI and R are estimated by L1 norm minimization using the sequence M ′.

<When there are multiple transmitters>
Even when there are a plurality (H) of transmission devices, the visible light communication system of the present invention can be configured. In this case, a plurality of sets (total H sets) of light receiving units, provisional decoding units, and synchronization units corresponding to the transmission device may be prepared. In this case, the parameter TI for synchronization loss and the parameter R for maximum luminance are calculated corresponding to each transmission apparatus. Even when there are a plurality of transmitting apparatuses, it is possible to synchronize each transmitting apparatus independently.
<Discrete optimization>
The estimation of the parameter TI performed in the synchronization unit may be optimized from (Equation 2), (Equation 4), (Equation 18), etc. by selecting from several candidates prepared in advance.
In the first to fifth embodiments, the parameter TI for synchronization loss and the parameter R for maximum luminance are calculated using the estimated sequence M ′, but this is a sequence prepared in advance having the same length as the sequence M ′. You may calculate using P. As the sequence P, for example, a sequence having 1 and 0 at random, a sequence having only one element in the sequence, or the like can be used.

[Other variations, etc.]
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment. For example, the
When the weight according to the synchronization deviation parameter TI satisfying
Can be generalized as processing for obtaining a sequence M ^ 'of decoded signals. That is, the temporary decoding unit sets the index of the time of the reception signal of the current frame to i, and the index of the time of the transmission signal of the transmission device corresponding to the reception signal B ′ (i) (the index of the light emission time of the light emitting element). When the estimated value is j ^, a provisional decoding result M '(j ^) obtained by decoding the modulated signal M (j ^) in the transmitting apparatus corresponding to the received signal B' (i) and an index adjacent to the modulated signal At least one of the tentative decoding results M ′ (j ^ + 1) (that is, M ′ (j ^ −1) and / or M ′ (j ^ + 1)) is the maximum luminance in the previous sequence of the received signal (R {αM ′ (j ^ ± 1) + βM ′ (j ^)}) and received signal B ′ ( i) Based on a criterion that makes the difference smaller Determine the series M ^ 'of the temporary decoded signal. Here, when the blinking cycle Tf of the transmission device and the measurement cycle Ts of the reception device are equal as in the first embodiment, j ^ = i. When Tf and Ts are not synchronized as in the second and third embodiments, the values of j ^ and i are different. The value of ^ j in such a case can be estimated by, for example, equations (4) and (5).
Further, when the above-described configuration is realized by a computer, processing contents of functions that each device should have are described by a program. The processing functions are realized on the computer by executing the program on the computer.
The program describing the processing contents can be recorded on a computer-readable recording medium. As the computer-readable recording medium, for example, any recording medium such as a magnetic recording device, an optical disk, a magneto-optical recording medium, and a semiconductor memory may be used.
The program is distributed by selling, transferring, or lending a portable recording medium such as a DVD or CD-ROM in which the program is recorded. Furthermore, the program may be distributed by storing the program in a storage device of the server computer and transferring the program from the server computer to another computer via a network.
A computer that executes such a program first stores, for example, a program recorded on a portable recording medium or a program transferred from a server computer in its own storage device. When executing the process, the computer reads a program stored in its own recording medium and executes a process according to the read program. As another execution form of the program, the computer may directly read the program from a portable recording medium and execute processing according to the program, and the program is transferred from the server computer to the computer. Each time, the processing according to the received program may be executed sequentially. Also, the program is not transferred from the server computer to the computer, and the above-described processing is executed by a so-called ASP (Application Service Provider) type service that realizes the processing function only by the execution instruction and result acquisition. It is good. Note that the program in this embodiment includes information that is used for processing by an electronic computer and that conforms to the program (data that is not a direct command to the computer but has a property that defines the processing of the computer).
In this embodiment, the present apparatus is configured by executing a predetermined program on a computer. However, at least a part of these processing contents may be realized by hardware.
