Description
The present invention relates to a hydroelectric power generation system that takes out and uses outputs of a plurality of hydrodynamic generators that generate electric power using hydrodynamic force.

An example of a power generation system using conventional wind power generation will be described with reference to FIG.

Further, as a hydrodynamic power generation system, for example, techniques proposed in
However, the conventional wind power generation described above has a disadvantage that the number of AC / DC conversions to the DC load equipment is large, resulting in a decrease in efficiency, and as the number of fluid power generators increases, the number of power converters increases, and the equipment cost and failure frequency also deteriorate. is there. Furthermore, in the wind speed region below the rating, the wind power generator output is proportional to the cube of the wind speed, and the output fluctuation range per second may reach half of the rated output in the time zone when the wind speed fluctuation is severe. For this reason, when a water electrolysis apparatus is provided, the reaction time constant of the water electrolysis apparatus is relatively long, so that it is difficult to respond quickly to fluctuations in the generator output of the wind turbine. In addition, when a fluctuating output is forcibly supplied to the water electrolysis apparatus, the cell voltage exceeds the allowable range, and there is a possibility that the apparatus may fail or the life may be reduced. However, in
Patent Document 4 describes a technique for stabilizing the power generation output by absorbing the torque fluctuation as the rotational energy of the windmill and the generator. A load acts. As a result, the fatigue life of the blade may be deteriorated, which is not a recommended control method.
Furthermore, if a water electrolysis device is installed for each wind power generator, the output fluctuations that must be dealt with are large, and the water electrolysis device cannot be operated in the event of a windmill failure or maintenance. Cannot be operated. Therefore, it can be said that it is reasonable to use a plurality of wind turbine generator outputs in one water electrolysis apparatus. By synthesizing the output of multiple wind turbines, it is possible to reduce the short-cycle output fluctuation range standardized at the rated output, and to easily take measures to alleviate the deterioration of the blade fatigue life due to the rotational speed fluctuation.
In order to link the outputs of a plurality of wind turbine generators, as shown in FIG. On the other hand, if it is a windmill which mounts a full converter, it is also possible to link windmills by direct current like patent document 5. FIG. By changing from the AC link method to the DC link method, the DC / AC inverter installed in each wind turbine becomes unnecessary, so that it is possible to expect an advantage in equipment cost and maintenance.
However, unlike AC, which can safely cut off the electric circuit at the timing of zero crossing, arc discharge tends to occur when DC is cut off, and special consideration is required for the design. In particular, a high voltage direct current (HVDC) of several kV or more makes the circuit breaker expensive and large scale, so that it is currently difficult to apply to a wind power plant. Patent Document 5 describes boosting with a wind power generator, but the equipment for boosting becomes large and is not economically suitable. On the other hand, if the DC voltage is lowered, it has already been put to practical use in solar power plants, railways, etc., and circuit breakers are easily available.
Therefore, although it is a promising idea to link the DC outputs of wind turbines with a relatively low voltage (for example, 1000 to 1500 V), the following problems also occur here.
In order to avoid the influence of the turbulent flow generated in the wake, the separation distance between the wind power generators needs to be separated by 800 m or more in the case of a long distance. It is not uncommon for such a windmill group to have an electric circuit distance of several kilometers or more. On the other hand, the power transmission loss is inversely proportional to the square of the voltage. For this reason, in the conventional AC system, in order to reduce the loss, the voltage is boosted to a high voltage (6.6 kV, 22 kV, etc.) by the transformer of each wind turbine and then linked to other wind turbines. When such an AC 22 kV transmission line and a DC 1500 V transmission line are compared, DC 1500 V results in a transmission loss of 200 times or more by simple calculation. For example, the transmission efficiency when transmitting 1 kW of electric power of 2 MW with an electric wire having a cross-sectional area of 100 mm 2 is reduced to 96.8% at DC 1500 V, compared to 99.99% at AC 22 kV. Even if the equipment configuration is simplified by the DC link, losing as much as 3% of electric power alone is a major disadvantage. As one countermeasure, it is possible to achieve the same power transmission efficiency by making the cross-sectional area of the DC electric wire about 400 times thicker, but this time the cost of the electric wire becomes a problem.
In the above description, wind power has been described as a representative of fluid force, but the same argument can be applied to other fluid forces such as tidal power.

Each fluid power generator of the present invention may be mounted with a full converter that rectifies the AC output of the generator into DC. A device used for the rectifying element is not particularly limited, but a diode, a thyristor, a transistor, an IGBT, or the like can be preferably used.
Examples of the hydrodynamic generator include a horizontal axis wind generator, a vertical axis wind generator, and a tidal power generator. It is also possible to configure a system by combining a horizontal axis wind power generator or a wind power generator capable of suppressing output fluctuation and a tidal power generator. Further, the range of the DC voltage output from the hydrodynamic generator of the present invention is not limited to a specific range for the present invention, but in order to reduce the installation of an inverter, a step-up transformer, etc. For reasons such as easy availability of the machine, a range of 500 to 3000 V is desirable, and a lower limit of 1000 V and an upper limit of 1500 V are even more desirable.
Moreover, as a method of linking the DC outputs of a plurality of hydrodynamic generators, serial connection and parallel connection can be mentioned, but the present invention is not particularly limited. In order to cope with a ground fault in series connection, since a high withstand voltage is required for the device, a parallel connection that can keep the ground voltage constant is more preferable.
DC load equipment includes water electrolysis devices such as solid polymer water electrolysis devices and alkaline water electrolysis devices, secondary batteries such as lead batteries, nickel metal hydride batteries, sodium-sulfur (NaS) batteries, lithium ion batteries, and redox flow batteries. Examples include one or more combinations of capacitors such as an electrolytic capacitor, a film capacitor, and an electric double layer capacitor. Since the DC link voltage is kept constant, it is preferable to install a DC / DC converter upstream of the DC load facility and adjust the secondary voltage so that the power consumption of the DC load facility can be adjusted. Furthermore, when a secondary battery or a capacitor is used in a DC load facility, it is more preferable to provide the DC / DC converter with bidirectionality in order to help stabilize the power supplied to the system and enhance the failure recovery function. .
According to the present invention, the output of each generator is drawn out with a direct current, and the conversion loss can be reduced by collecting the drawn direct current output and supplying power to the direct current load device. The burden of the conversion equipment and the power converter for each generator can be reduced. In addition, by synthesizing the outputs from multiple generators, the short-cycle output fluctuation range normalized by the rated output can be reduced, and measures to mitigate the deterioration of the blade fatigue life due to rotational speed fluctuations can be facilitated. Furthermore, the DC link can simplify the components compared to the conventional system, and can be expected to provide facility cost and maintenance advantages, and can effectively reduce transmission loss even in practical voltage DC transmission.
Below, the installation example of the wind power generator in the hydrodynamic power generation system of this invention is demonstrated based on FIG.
Each
By the way, many recent large-scale wind power generators have a rotor diameter of more than 70 m, and some of them have a rotor diameter of 140 m. Taking a wind power generator with a rotor diameter of 100 m as an example, when connecting wind power generators arranged in the prevailing wind direction with a DC link, the transmission distance is 1 km in a linear distance, and power transmission loss cannot be ignored. On the other hand, if the wind power generators arranged in a direction perpendicular to the prevailing wind direction are connected by a DC link, a distance of about 1/3 is sufficient, and transmission loss can be reduced. Similar conclusions can be obtained in the tidal current.
In the present invention, from the viewpoint of transmission loss of direct current power transmission, the direct current outputs of a plurality of wind power generators arranged in a direction different from the prevailing wind direction of fluid are combined as shown in FIG.

When the system voltage decreases during the operation of the hydrodynamic generator, the load on the generator is suddenly reduced, so that the number of revolutions increases rapidly, and there is a risk of over-rotation. In order to avoid damage due to excessive rotation, when a system voltage drop is detected, the conventional system brakes the rotating body to stop operation. For this reason, even if the system is restored, it takes time to restart the generator, so a loss in the amount of power sold cannot be avoided.
On the other hand, in the embodiment of the present invention, even when the system voltage is lowered, the generator can be prevented from over-rotating by using the DC load equipment in the system as a power generation load. Further, as long as the DC load facility can accept power, the operation of the generator can be continued. For this reason, it is possible to restart the power supply to the grid promptly when the grid is restored.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the number of AC / DC conversions can be reduced as compared with the conventional power generation system, and high efficiency can be expected. In addition, power conversion equipment can also be consolidated, reducing equipment costs and improving maintainability. Furthermore, since the DC /
In the above configuration, the power transmission loss from each generator to the intermediate equipment calculated from the rated power, DC voltage, transmission distance, and transmission line resistance is preferably 1% or less.
Thus, in this embodiment, the number of AC / DC conversions can be reduced as compared with the prior art, and high efficiency can be expected. In addition, power conversion equipment can also be consolidated, reducing equipment costs and improving maintainability. Furthermore, since the step-down chopper has less power loss at the partial load than the PCS, it is more advantageous than the prior art when the variable power is consumed by the water electrolysis device.
In the above description, the wind generators arranged in a direction orthogonal to the presumed direction have been described as being combined into one system, but in a plurality of wind power generation groups, each is combined into one group and connected to a DC load facility. You may do it. Even in a direction perpendicular to the presumed direction, when the wind power generators are arranged for a long time, it is possible to reduce the loss by suppressing the extension of the link length.
For example, in a farm consisting of wind power generators, it may be economically inefficient to link all wind power generators to the same DC system in an array that is orthogonal to the prevailing wind direction. In this case, it can be divided into groups of wind power generator groups close to each other and DC-linked in groups. In this case, power is supplied to the system after the groups are connected by a high-voltage AC line.
According to the present invention, the power loss of the DC link can be reduced by collectively outputting power from the vicinity of a plurality of DC load facilities, such as when the power transmission distance from the generator to the vicinity of the DC load facility is long.
Note that in a wind power generator arranged in a direction different from the prevailing wind direction, it is desirable to combine them into one DC link in a range of 20 times or less of the rotor diameter D.
On the other hand, if the wind generator group of multiple rows of farms is installed with the position changed in the presumed direction, if the wind generator output between multiple rows is linked and taken out, the link length will become long . In order to solve this problem, a power system for extracting output from a plurality of rows of wind power generators will be described with reference to FIGS.

In the above embodiment, the wind power generator groups adjacent to each other in the direction different from the presumed direction of the prevailing wind are grouped, and the DC output of each generator is linked to reduce the DC transmission distance with a large transmission loss as much as possible.
