Description
The present invention relates to a blood glucose meter that displays a measured blood glucose level on a display screen.
In recent years, diabetes, whose number is rapidly increasing, is caused by abnormal pancreatic insulin secretion and decreased sensitivity to insulin.
In the treatment of diabetes, it is important to prevent the onset and progression of complications. For this purpose, it is essential to control blood glucose levels normally. For this reason, a blood glucose measuring device (hereinafter referred to as a blood glucose meter) has been developed for the patient or his / her family to easily measure the blood glucose level at home, and the applicant has developed a small blood glucose meter for self-measurement. ing.
In addition, the patent application regarding the blood glucose meter by the applicant is shown in
As mentioned above, diabetics must always manage their blood glucose level within an appropriate range in daily life. In addition, it is necessary to regularly visit a hospital, report blood glucose measurement results to a doctor, and receive life guidance. In particular, for patients undergoing treatment with drugs, doctors recommend measuring blood glucose multiple times a day from the viewpoint of controlling blood glucose normally in order to prevent complications. Yes. In particular, in the guidelines of IDF (International Diabetes Society), postprandial blood glucose level is associated with the risk of complications, and postprandial blood glucose level measurement is also recommended.
In recent years, with the advancement of electronic devices, the blood glucose meter has become a tool for providing information that will motivate patients to continue to manage blood glucose levels from simple measuring instruments.
This allows the inventors to calculate and display the average value of the patient's blood glucose level, in particular, to properly maintain the patient's blood glucose control, The function of displaying the transition in a graph and the alarm function that prompts the patient to measure the blood glucose level, etc. are adopted to improve the functionality of the blood glucose meter.
On the other hand, the blood glucose meter is used in various patients, and unlike an information device such as a personal computer, the operation must be simple. In particular, it is desired to be able to perform operations on patients who are unfamiliar with the operation of information devices, elderly patients, and patients with visual problems such as decreased visual acuity. However, adding various functions to the blood glucose meter can complicate the operation of the blood glucose meter. Specifically, for example, it is not preferable to increase the number of operation buttons in order to add a function or to deepen a menu hierarchy for calling a desired function.
The new blood glucose meter can provide various contents such as a graph display of blood glucose level and an alarm function that prompts the measurement of blood glucose level after a meal without any loss of the original purpose of the blood glucose meter. It is required to be configured as such.
The present invention has been made in view of such points, and a blood glucose meter that can easily confirm how much the measured blood glucose level is at the time of measuring the blood glucose level is compatible with high functionality and simplicity. The purpose is to provide.
In order to solve the above problems, a blood glucose meter of the present invention measures a blood glucose level of a patient by obtaining a predetermined signal from the measurement unit to which a measurement test paper for measuring the blood glucose level of the patient is attached, and a measurement signal. A blood glucose level measurement unit and a display unit for displaying the blood glucose level measured by the blood glucose level measurement unit are provided. The input / output control unit displays, on one side of the display unit, a scale composed of a plurality of color schemes indicating the result of classifying the blood glucose level with a plurality of threshold values, and compares the blood glucose level with the plurality of threshold values to obtain a predetermined After classification into ranks, the background color of the display unit is set to one of a plurality of color schemes according to the ranks, and the scale and the background color are integrated to form a tab.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a blood glucose meter capable of easily confirming how much the measured blood glucose level is at the time of measuring the blood glucose level and having both high function and simplicity.

One of the features of the blood glucose meter 101 of this embodiment is an after meal alarm. Since the time during which a blood glucose level after a meal can be measured is limited, an alarm is set in advance at a time that is considered to be after a meal. The post-meal alarm sounds the alarm when the set time is reached, and also displays the elapsed time on the liquid crystal display 103. By displaying the elapsed time on the liquid crystal display 103, the patient can determine whether or not it is a time suitable for blood glucose level measurement after a meal.
In addition, since the postprandial alarm is sounded and the postprandial flag is set to logic “true”, it is not necessary to operate the

[After-meal alarm display screen]
17A and 17B are diagrams showing a display screen of an after-meal alarm.
FIG. 17A is a screen displayed on the liquid crystal display 103 (display unit 205) when the current time is within two hours until the alarm ringing time. It is a screen displayed in step S903 of FIG. In the screen, a message P1701 indicating that an after-meal alarm is set and a remaining time P1702 until the after-meal alarm ringing time are displayed.
FIG. 17B is a screen displayed on the liquid crystal display 103 (display unit 205) when the current time is within one hour after the alarm ringing time. It is a screen displayed in step S906 of FIG. In the screen, a message P1703 for prompting the measurement of the blood sugar level and a time P1704 that has elapsed since the post-meal alarm ringing time are displayed.
Thus, by displaying the time elapsed from the post-meal alarm ringing time, an effect of raising self-management awareness for the patient can be expected.
When the screen shown in FIG. 17B is displayed (YES in step S905 in FIG. 9), the post-meal flag is set to logic “true” (NO in step S1602 in FIG. 16). Since it is also a screen, the patient can perform smoothly after clearly recognizing the postprandial blood glucose measurement work.

When the various setting information is a color setting, the blood glucose level is color-coded by five-level evaluation. The hypoglycemia is blue, the optimal blood sugar is yellow-green, then orange, then pink, and the highest blood sugar is red.
FIG. 25A is a screen displayed when the blood glucose level is in the second range from the bottom of the five-level evaluation. This display screen is a display state that is displayed in yellow-green of the optimal blood glucose and integrated with the second yellow-green portion from the bottom of the color-coded scale displayed at the left end. By integrating the color-coded scale and the background portion of the screen, a tab P2501 is formed on the display screen.
FIG. 25B is a screen displayed when the blood glucose level is in the second range from the top in the five-stage evaluation. This display screen is displayed in pink indicating that the blood sugar level is the second highest, and is integrated with the second pink part from the top of the color-coded scale displayed on the left end. This is a display state in which P2502 is formed.
In this way, by providing a tab formed by integrating the color-coded scale and the background part of the screen, it is possible to instantly and clearly recognize how much the current blood glucose level is in the five-step evaluation. .

In the present embodiment, the blood glucose meter 101 is disclosed.
