Description
The present invention relates to a power transmission device and a hybrid system for a hybrid vehicle using an engine and a rotating machine as a power source.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a power transmission device for a hybrid vehicle, a device including a power distribution mechanism (planetary gear mechanism) in which an engine and two rotating machines are connected is known. In a hybrid system having this type of power transmission device, the rotating shaft of the engine, the rotating shaft of the first rotating machine, the rotating shaft of the second rotating machine, and the drive wheels are connected to each rotating element of the power distribution mechanism. The Patent Document 1 below discloses an engine, a first motor generator, a second motor generator, and a drive wheel that are individually connected to respective rotating elements of a power distribution mechanism. In the hybrid system of Patent Document 1, a friction clutch and a one-way clutch are interposed between the engine and the power distribution mechanism.
By the way, in such a conventional hybrid system, the first motor generator is driven as an electric motor together with the second motor generator connected to the same rotating element as the drive wheel, and traveling using both powers is performed. be able to. However, in this hybrid system, a one-way clutch is interposed between the engine and the power distribution mechanism, and this one-way clutch receives the reaction force of the output torque of the first motor generator, so that regenerative torque is generated. Only the second motor generator can be made to do. For this reason, the magnitude of the regenerative torque is limited by the rating of the second motor generator (that is, the rated torque with respect to the rotational speed), although it depends on the upper limit power that can be charged by the secondary battery.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a power transmission device and a hybrid system for a hybrid vehicle that can improve the disadvantages of the conventional example and expand the regenerative region.
In order to achieve the above object, a power transmission device for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention has a plurality of rotating elements capable of differential rotation with each other, and each rotating element is coupled to a rotating shaft of an engine. A power distribution mechanism including a rotating element connected to the rotating shaft of the first rotating machine, a rotating element connected to the second rotating machine and the drive wheel, and the engine and the rotation connected to the engine. A friction engagement device interposed between the elements, and a control device that drives the first rotating machine and the second rotating machine to regenerate while sliding the friction engagement apparatus in a semi-engaged state. It is characterized by providing.
On the other hand, in order to achieve the above object, the hybrid system according to the present invention has an engine, a first rotating machine, a second rotating machine, and a plurality of rotating elements capable of differential rotation between them, Each rotating element includes a rotating element connected to the rotating shaft of the engine, a rotating element connected to the rotating shaft of the first rotating machine, and a rotating element connected to the second rotating machine and drive wheels. A power distribution mechanism, a friction engagement device interposed between the engine and the rotating element to which the engine is connected, and the first while sliding the friction engagement device in a semi-engaged state. And a controller for regeneratively driving the rotating machine and the second rotating machine.
Here, the torque during the regenerative drive at the output shaft of the power distribution mechanism is the regenerative torque in the second rotating machine, the regenerative torque in the first rotating machine, and the half-engagement torque in the friction engagement device. The sum is desirable.
Further, the control device performs the regenerative drive by the first rotating machine and the second rotating machine when the SOC of the secondary battery is smaller than a predetermined threshold, and when the SOC is equal to or higher than the predetermined threshold, It is desirable to drive only the second rotating machine.
Moreover, when the said control apparatus performs the said regenerative drive of only the said 2nd rotary machine, it is desirable to drive the said 1st rotary machine by power running.
The power transmission device and the hybrid system for a hybrid vehicle according to the present invention have no brake between the rotating shaft of the engine and the rotating element connected to the engine by controlling the friction engagement device to a half-engaged state. However, since the first rotating machine can be driven to regenerate, the first rotating machine and the second rotating machine can be driven to regenerate at the same time. Therefore, in this power transmission device and the hybrid system, the regenerative operation area is expanded, so that the power consumption can be improved.
Embodiments of a hybrid vehicle power transmission device and a hybrid system according to the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings.

The engine ENG is an engine such as an internal combustion engine or an external combustion engine that outputs mechanical power (output torque) from an engine rotation shaft (crankshaft) 11. The operation of the engine ENG is controlled by an electronic control device (hereinafter referred to as “ENGECU”) 51 as an engine control device shown in FIG. The ENGECU 51 controls, for example, the output torque of the engine ENG (hereinafter referred to as “engine torque”) Te by performing electronic throttle valve opening control, ignition control by output of an ignition signal, fuel injection control, and the like. To do.
The first rotating machine MG1 and the second rotating machine MG2 have a function as an electric motor (motor) during power running drive and a function as a generator (generator) during regenerative driving (motor / generator). It is. The operations of the first and second rotating machines MG1 and MG2 are controlled by an electronic control unit (hereinafter referred to as “MG ECU”) 52 as the rotating machine control device shown in FIG. The first and second rotating machines MG1, MG2 are connected to a secondary battery (not shown) via an inverter (not shown), and are connected to respective rotating shafts (
The
The
Here, the ring gear R is an output element of the
The power transmission device 1 further includes a
In this
A
The
Further, the
Here, in this
The EV travel mode is a travel mode in which only the power of the second rotating machine MG2 is transmitted to the drive wheels W. The HV traveling mode is a traveling mode in which traveling that transmits only the power of the engine ENG to the driving wheels W and traveling that transmits the power of the second rotating machine MG2 to the driving wheels W in addition to the power of the engine ENG. That's it. In the
[EV driving mode]
In the EV traveling mode, traveling with the friction clutch 40 fully engaged and traveling with the friction clutch 40 released can be performed. For example, the EV traveling mode when the clutch is completely engaged is selected when the SOC of the secondary battery is larger than the first predetermined value and there is a possibility of overcharging. Further, in the EV travel mode when the clutch is released, the SOC of the secondary battery is equal to or lower than the first predetermined value, and when the secondary battery can be charged, or the SOC of the secondary battery is equal to or lower than the second predetermined value ( <First predetermined value) and is selected when the secondary battery needs to be charged.
When it is not necessary to charge the secondary battery based on the SOC, the
On the other hand, when the secondary battery can be charged or necessary based on the SOC, the
[HV driving mode]
In the HV traveling mode, the vehicle travels by transmitting only the engine torque Te or the engine torque Te and the MG2 torque Tmg2 to the output shaft of the power distribution mechanism 20 (the rotation shaft of the ring gear R and the gear 31). Therefore, in this HV traveling mode, the
By the way, in this
Therefore, in the power transmission device 1 and the
The MG1 & 2 regenerative control is possible in the HV driving mode during the braking operation in the EV driving mode when the secondary battery can be charged or necessary, and in the HV driving mode when the secondary battery can be charged or required. Executed during braking operation. On the other hand, if the rechargeable amount of the secondary battery is small, performing MG1 & 2 regenerative control increases the amount of regenerative power compared to MG2 regenerative control. Therefore, the secondary battery is also charged by regenerative driving of the second rotating machine MG2. It may not be possible. For this reason, in this case, it is preferable not to perform the MG1 & 2 regenerative control. In addition, when charging of the secondary battery is unnecessary, regenerative control during the braking operation of the vehicle is not required.
In this power transmission device 1 and the
Hereinafter, regenerative control when the vehicle performs a braking operation will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG. Here, a case where MG1 & 2 regenerative control is executed will be described as an example. Further, here, the
The
The
When the
When the absolute value of the necessary regenerative torque Tk is equal to or smaller than the first regenerative torque threshold value Tkt1, the
On the other hand, when the absolute value of the necessary regenerative torque Tk exceeds the first regenerative torque threshold value Tkt1, it is difficult to generate the necessary regenerative torque Tk only by the MG2 regenerative control. For this reason, the
Here, when the MG1 & 2 regenerative control is being executed with the friction clutch 40 in the half-engaged state, the carrier rotation speed Nc is kept at a predetermined threshold (hereinafter referred to as “carrier rotation speed threshold”) Nct or more. Is desirable. For this reason, the
Further, when the MG1 & 2 regenerative control is being executed with the friction clutch 40 in the half-engaged state, the absolute value of the MG1 rotation speed Nmg1 is referred to as a predetermined threshold (hereinafter referred to as “first MG1 rotation speed threshold”) Nmg1a or less. It is desirable to keep For this reason, the
Nmg1b(<Nmg1a)以上に保つことが望ましい。
Further, when the MG1 & 2 regenerative control is being executed with the friction clutch 40 half-engaged, the absolute value of the MG1 rotation speed Nmg1 is referred to as a predetermined threshold (hereinafter referred to as “second MG1 rotation speed threshold”) Nmg1b ( <Nmg1a) or more is desirable. For this reason, the
When the
Since the secondary battery can be charged when the SOC is smaller than the SOC threshold value, the
In this MG1 & 2 regenerative control, as shown in FIG. 6, the regenerative torque of the first rotating machine MG1 (hereinafter referred to as “MG1 regenerative torque”) is input to the sun gear S, and the output shaft (ring gear) of the
In contrast, when the SOC is equal to or higher than the SOC threshold, the
The power running torque of the first rotating machine MG1 (hereinafter referred to as “MG1 power running torque”) is input to the sun gear S and acts on the output shaft of the power distribution mechanism 20 (the rotation shaft of the ring gear R and the gear 31). The MG2 regenerative torque acts on the output shaft of the
After executing MG1 & 2 regenerative control or MG2 regenerative control combined with MG1 power running control in this way, the
When the absolute value of the required regenerative torque Tk exceeds the second regenerative torque threshold value Tkt2, the
On the other hand, when the absolute value of the required regenerative torque Tk is equal to or smaller than the second regenerative torque threshold value Tkt2, the
The
If the
Here, in the conventional system in which the
In the power transmission device 1 and the
In this power transmission device 1 and
Further, according to the power transmission device 1 and the
Furthermore, according to the power transmission device 1 and the
Here, in this example, even if it is determined that the regenerative control is necessary, the regenerative control is not performed until the SOC determination is performed. However, in the power transmission device 1 and the
In the EV travel mode when the clutch is released, the second rotating machine MG2 is rotating forward and outputting a positive MG2 torque Tmg2. In this EV travel mode, the first rotating machine MG1 has both MG1 rotational speed Nmg1 and MG1 torque Tmg1 being zero. Further, since the
When the vehicle enters a braking operation in the EV travel mode when the clutch is released (brake on, t1), the
The
When the clutch torque capacity of the friction clutch 40 (that is, the absolute value of the clutch half-engagement torque) increases to a predetermined magnitude (t3), the
Here, when the
By the way, in this MG1 & 2 regenerative control, about the operating point at the time of each regenerative control of 1st rotary machine MG1 and 2nd rotary machine MG2, each power generation loss in 1st rotary machine MG1 and 2nd rotary machine MG2 is the minimum. It is desirable to increase the regeneration efficiency by performing control so as to be. FIGS. 10 and 11 show loss maps of the first rotating machine MG1 and the second rotating machine MG2, respectively. In each figure, a circle indicates a loss during MG2 regenerative control in the clutch disengaged state, and an asterisk indicates a loss during MG1 & 2 regenerative control in the clutch half-engaged state. For example, when MG1 & 2 regenerative control is started in the EV traveling mode at the time of clutch release, the first rotating machine MG1 is in a state where both the MG1 rotation speed Nmg1 and the MG1 torque Tmg1 are zero, that is, a state without loss (see the circle in FIG. 10). The operating point is shifted from the (marked portion) to the state where the power generation loss is increased (the asterisk portion in FIG. 10). The increase in the power generation loss is unavoidable as long as the stopped first rotating machine MG1 is regeneratively driven. Therefore, the
