Claims (10)
- ノズル(30)であって、
(a)軸方向中心線(38)を画成する中心胴体(32)と、
(b)前記中心胴体(32)の少なくとも一部分を円周方向に囲繞して該中心胴体(32)との間に環状通路(40)を画成するシュラウド(34)と、
(c)前記中心胴体(32)の内部にかつ前記軸方向中心線(38)にほぼ平行に設けられたプレナム(44、46)と、
(d)前記中心胴体(32)の内部にかつ前記プレナム(44、46)に全体的に隣接して配置された点火装置(52)と、
を備え、
前記点火装置(52)が、当該ノズル(30)が配置される燃焼器(70)の半径方向にみて前記プレナム(44、46)の外側に配置される、ノズル(30)。 - 前記環状通路(40)が、前記中心胴体(32)にほぼ平行である、請求項1に記載のノズル(30)。
- 前記プレナム(44)が、前記中心胴体(32)を通る液体燃料のための流体連通をもたらす、請求項1または2に記載のノズル(30)。
- 前記プレナム(46)が、前記中心胴体(32)を通る希釈媒体のための流体連通をもたらす、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のノズル(30)。
- 前記点火装置(52)が、スパークプラグ、レーザ(56)又は火炎源の少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のノズル(30)。
- 前記点火装置(52)が、前記軸方向中心線(38)にほぼ平行にビーム、スパーク又は火炎の少なくとも1つを投射する、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のノズル(30)。
- 前記シュラウド(34)と中心胴体(32)の間の前記環状通路(40)内に複数のベーン(36)をさらに含む、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のノズル(30)。
- 燃焼器(70)を点火燃焼させる方法であって、
(a)ノズル(30)内において軸方向に整列した中心胴体(32)を通して燃料を流すステップと、
(b)前記中心胴体(32)にほぼ平行にかつ該中心胴体(32)の半径方向外側に設けられた環状通路(40)を通して作動流体を流すステップと、
(c)前記中心胴体(32)の内部に設置された点火装置(52)から、前記燃焼器(70)の半径方向にみて前記中心胴体(32)を通って流れる前記燃料の外側にビーム、スパーク又は火炎の少なくとも1つを投射するステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記中心胴体(32)を通して液体燃料を流すステップをさらに含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記ノズル(30)の軸方向中心線(38)にほぼ平行に前記ビーム、スパーク又は火炎の少なくとも1つを投射するステップをさらに含む、請求項8または9に記載の方法。
