Description
The present invention relates to a bearing race manufacturing method for manufacturing a bearing race from bearing steel.
Conventionally, the bearing races constituting the outer frame and inner frame of the bearing are mainly manufactured from bearing steel (SUJ2) defined in the Japanese Industrial Standards JIS. Then there are the following four.
First, there is a method for producing a bearing race by hot forging a steel bar for bearing steel. In this first method (hot forging method), a steel bar is cut and heated, hot forged, spheroidized, and quenched and tempered after cutting.
Second, there is a method of manufacturing a bearing race by cutting a wire for bearing steel. In this second method (wire cutting method), the wire is spheroidized and annealed, polished and then fully cut, and then quenched and tempered.
Third, there is a method of manufacturing a bearing race by cutting a pipe for bearing steel. In this third method (pipe cutting method), the pipe is annealed and spheroidized, and then quenched and tempered.
Fourthly, there is a method of manufacturing a bearing race by performing cold forging on a wire for bearing steel. In this fourth method (cold forging method), the wire is spheroidized and annealed, cold forged, and quenched and tempered after cutting.
In the first method (hot forging method), although there is an advantage that it can be processed to a relatively large diameter, since heating is essential, an energy cost is required. In the second method (wire cutting method), the inner surface is cut to produce a ring-shaped material, so the yield is very poor. The third method (pipe cutting method) is not practical because the material cost of the pipe is higher than that of a general wire rod. Compared to the first to third methods, the cold forging method, which is the fourth method, can reduce energy, improve yield, and reduce manufacturing costs, and is an excellent processing method over other manufacturing methods.
However, there are various shapes of bearing races, and it is a fact that it is difficult to manufacture bearing races of various shapes by manufacturing only by cold forging.
Now, in bearing steel, since it is used in various environments, long life is desired, for example, the technique of

However, in
Therefore, in view of the above problems, the present invention can manufacture bearing races of various shapes, and by increasing the grain size by processing the bearing steel, the prior austenite crystal grain size is set to 11 or more. An object of the present invention is to provide a bearing race manufacturing method capable of extending the service life of the bearing race.
In order to achieve the object, the present invention takes the following technical means.
That is, the technical means for solving the problems in the present invention include a material manufacturing process in which hot-rolled bearing steel is annealed to obtain a processed material, and a cold forged ring manufactured by the material manufacturing process. Forming in the cold forging process for forming the material, the cold ring rolling process for forming the bearing race material by cold rolling the ring material formed in the cold forging process, and the cold ring rolling process And a heat treatment step of producing a bearing race by subjecting the bearing race material to a heat treatment, wherein the degree of work F1 in the cold forging step obtained by the equation (1) is 0.5. It is in the point which performs cold forging so that it may become 0.8 or more above.

It is preferable to perform the cold forging step and the cold ring rolling step so that the total degree of processing after the cold ring rolling step is 0.9 or less.
It is preferable to have an annealing process which anneals the ring raw material manufactured at the cold forging process between 550-700 degreeC between a cold forging process and a cold ring rolling process.
The most preferable embodiment of the method for manufacturing a bearing race according to the present invention includes a material manufacturing process in which hot-rolled bearing steel is annealed to obtain a processed material, and a cold forged ring formed from the processed material manufactured in the material manufacturing process. A cold forging process for forming the material, a cold ring rolling process for forming a bearing race material by cold rolling the ring material formed in the cold forging process,

And performing a rolling process.
According to the present invention, bearing races of various shapes can be manufactured, and the grain size is increased by processing for processing bearing steel, whereby the prior austenite crystal grain size is set to 11 or more, and the life of the bearing race is extended. be able to.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
It is known that when cold forging is performed on a bearing steel, the grain size of the bearing steel increases and the life is improved. Therefore, in the present invention, when a bearing race is manufactured using bearing steel, cold forging is always performed in order to improve the life of the bearing race.
However, with cold forging alone, it is difficult to manufacture bearing races of various shapes. For example, in cold forging, a cylindrical bearing steel is squeezed in the axial direction to adjust the shape. Therefore, in order to produce a bearing race with a large outer diameter by cold forging, the outer side of the bearing race is used. Along with the size of the diameter, it is necessary to enlarge the cylindrical bearing steel which is the original material. If the bearing steel, which is the original material, is made too large, a large load is applied to the equipment for cold forging, and there is a limit to the bearing steel that can be increased by equipment limitations. In some cases, it cannot handle large bearing races.
For this reason, in order to make bearing races of various shapes, in producing bearing races, in addition to cold forging, ring rolling with excellent workability is also performed.
The present invention will be described in detail below.
As shown in FIG. 1, the bearing race manufacturing method of the present invention includes a
In the raw
In the
In the
FIG. 2 shows the Vickers hardness of the ring material 7 when the ring material 7 after cold forging is heated.
As shown in FIG. 2, when the ring material 7 after the
Therefore, it is preferable to anneal the ring material 7 between 550 and 700 ° C. as described above.
In the
Thus, the bearing race
The
The
As described above, in order to increase the life of the bearing race, it is necessary to make the old austenite grain size in the bearing race 11th or more.
Here, when manufacturing the bearing race, the inventors changed the cross-sectional area of the material before processing (processing) and the cross-sectional area after processing (after processing) (cross-sectional area before processing / after processing). The cross-sectional area) was defined as the degree of processing, and an experiment was conducted on how the grain size changes depending on the degree of processing. The crystal grain size was measured based on “JIS G0551 steel—microscopic test method for crystal grain size”.
FIG. 3 and Table 1 summarize the relationship between the degree of processing and the crystal grain size.
As shown in FIG. 3 and Table 1, when a bearing race is manufactured only by cutting (in the figure, ◯), the degree of processing is zero and the crystal grain size is 10.5. When the bearing race is manufactured only in the cold forging process 2 (Δ in the figure), the degree of processing becomes 0.5 or more and the prior austenite grain size becomes 11 or more.
Therefore, if the workability is 0.5 or more in the cold forging
In addition, the work degree F1 in the cold forging
As shown in Table 1, when the workability F1 exceeds 0.8 in the cold forging
Cracks (soot) of 0.075 mm or less are subjected to a polishing process after the heat treatment in order to remove scale caused by the heat treatment after quenching and tempering. It will not be. However, cracks (wrinkles) larger than 0.075 mm remain partly of the wrinkles even after the polishing process, and cannot be completely processed by the polishing process.
Therefore, the degree of work F1 in the cold forging
In the cold forging
As shown in Table 2, there is no cracking even when the total degree of processing exceeds 0.8 after the cold forging
As described above, by performing the cold forging
In addition, in the raw
In the bearing race manufacturing method of the present invention, the cold forging
