Description
The present invention relates to a switch used for various small electronic devices, and more particularly, to a push switch including an operation member mounted on a circuit board and displaceable in a direction parallel to the circuit board.
In this type of switch, a recess is formed in a resinous case mounted on a circuit board. A conductive member is integrated with the case by insert molding or the like, and a part of the conductive member is disposed in the recess as a fixed electrode. A movable electrode is further disposed in the recess, and is elastically displaceable between a first position in contact with the fixed electrode and a second position in contact with the fixed electrode.
The switch is provided with an operation member. When the user presses the operation member in a state where the switch is mounted on the circuit board, the operation member moves in a direction parallel to the circuit board, displaces the movable electrode to the first position, and conducts to the fixed electrode. Get state. When the pressing force is released, the movable electrode is elastically returned to the second position and the conductive state with the fixed electrode is released (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In the switch described above, the external connection terminal electrically connected to the fixed electrode extends in the horizontal direction from the middle in the height direction of the case, and is placed on the land portion provided on the circuit board. And used for soldering. A part of the case located below the external connection terminal is disposed in the notch formed in the circuit board and abuts the end surface of the notch, so that the operation member is pushed into the soldered part after mounting. The applied moment (force to peel off the external connection terminal from the land) is suppressed.
However, with the recent miniaturization of electronic devices, as the switches are also miniaturized, the user's pressing force is relatively high with respect to the structural strength of the soldered portion. A part of the soldering portion may be destroyed and the external connection terminal may be peeled off from the land portion.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a push switch that can improve the durability against the pressing force of the operation member while responding to a request for downsizing.
One aspect that the present invention can take in order to solve the above problems is a push switch mounted on a circuit board,
An insulative case having a wall portion defining a recess;
A plurality of fixed electrodes disposed in the recess;
A movable electrode disposed in the recess and displaceable between a first position where the plurality of fixed electrodes are in a conductive state and a second position where the conductive state is released;
An operating member provided on the first side of the case, and moved by an external pressing force to displace the movable electrode from the second position to the first position;
A conductive member that is electrically connected to one of the plurality of fixed electrodes and has a first exposed portion exposed to the first side in order to be soldered to a land portion provided on the circuit board And
The first exposed portion has a portion that extends in a direction away from the circuit board when mounted on the circuit board.
According to the above configuration, the solder is solidified while spreading in the direction away from the circuit board along the first exposed portion, and the solder fillet is formed on the first side to be solidified. Since the solder fillet has a thickness in a direction along the moving direction of the operation member, the solder fillet can have a strength capable of withstanding a force for peeling the push switch generated by the pressing force of the operation member from the circuit board.
The conductive member has a second exposed portion that is exposed on a second side of the case different from the first side in order to be soldered to a land portion provided on the circuit board. The two exposed portions may have a portion extending in a direction parallel to the circuit board when mounted on the circuit board. In this case, the side of the case facing the circuit board can be more firmly held on the circuit board by solder.
In the case where the first exposed portion and the second exposed portion have an integral structure, it is possible to ensure a large area of the land portion to which these are fixed via solder. Therefore, the contact area of the solder is increased, and the peel resistance from the circuit board of the case against the pressing force of the operation member can be further improved.
Here, the “integrated structure” refers to a state where the boundary between the first exposed portion and the second exposed portion is made of the same material and is continuous (monolithic state). It is used to distinguish from a configuration in which two or more members having different materials and characteristics are integrated by bonding or welding.
The second exposed portion may further include a portion extending in a direction perpendicular to the circuit board. In this case, the portion extending in the vertical direction can be inserted into the insertion hole formed in the circuit board, or a solder fillet can be formed on the side of the portion. The peel resistance from the circuit board can be further improved.
The first exposed portion may be provided inside the outermost end portion of the case on the first side. In this case, the formation position of the solder fillet can be accommodated in the mounting area of the case. Therefore, an increase in the mounting area of the push switch can be avoided while securing a sufficient fixing strength of the first exposed portion with respect to the land portion.
It is good also as a structure further provided with the anchor member which protrudes in the direction non-parallel to the moving direction of the said operation member from the said electroconductive member, and is embed | buried under the said wall part. In this case, it is possible to prevent part of the case from being peeled off from the conductive member by a component force in a direction parallel to the circuit board.
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the push switch which can improve the durability with respect to the pressing force of an operation member can be provided, responding to the request | requirement of size reduction.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

As apparent from FIGS. 4 and 5, the
FIG. 6 shows a state where the
By performing the soldering process in this state, the

When the user directly or indirectly presses the
When the load applied to the movable electrode 5 exceeds a predetermined value, the
When the pressing force is released, the
That is, the movable electrode 5 is displaceable between a first position where the first
The operating force that presses the operating
Since the
Because the
Further, since the front end surface 4c2 of the
The
As shown in FIG. 4, the first
The component force in the direction away from the
Further, the second
