Description
比較的硬く、もろく、比較的速く砕けるか崩壊し、容易に消化されるが、消費にかかる持続時間が比較的短い。第2の群は、伸縮性または弾力性のある、高密または圧縮された製品からなり、咀嚼し難く、消化しにくく、消費にかかる持続時間が長い。
本発明の好ましいペット用噛み物の組成:
最終製品の水分活性は、0.2〜0.85の範囲である。さらには、個々の材料濃度および粉末に対する液体の割合を変更して、最終製品にさまざまなテクスチャーをもたらして差し支えない。また、材料を代替物質で置換して、最終製品に異なるテクスチャーを与えてもよい。例えば、100ブルームのゼラチンの代わりに200ブルームのゼラチンを使用すると、より堅固な製品が得られる結果となる。

ペット用噛み物の製品の性能を、歯垢および歯石の低減、息のさわやかさ、持続時間、2点嗜好によって測定したおいしさ、溶解性、硬さを含むテクスチャー特性、密度、弾力性、もろさ、吸水能、および可溶化速度を含む、多くの基準について測定する。
硬さ、強靭性、弾力性の値は、製品サンプル全体を使用して決定した。Texture Technologies社提供のTA.HDiで観察された基本環境(base platform)を、力/距離の測定に使用した。製造し、試験した、典型的な製品サンプルを図5に示す。
A.円形プローブまたはナイフを、(1)5mm/秒の試験前速度(サンプルと接触する前のプローブ速度)、(2)2mm/秒の試験速度(サンプル内を進行する間のプローブ速度)、(3)5mm/秒の試験後速度(プローブがサンプルから引き抜かれるときの速度)、および50%圧縮の距離(プローブが引き抜かれるまでにサンプル内を進行する距離)で試験した。
ペット用噛み物のインビトロにおける溶解度/消化率の測定を使用して、ペット、特にイヌの消化管で溶解または消化されるペット用噛み物の量を示してもよい。試験は、ペット用噛み物製品の一部または全体に基づいて行なわれる。例えば32gのペット用噛み物部分など、特定のサイズ部分または小片を用いて、異なる配合について正確に比較することができる。結果は、インビトロにおける消失率(IVD)%として表される。溶解度の測定は、特定量の製品を、ペットの胃腸環境に相当する、多くの溶液に供することにより行なう。一般に、胃の環境は比較的酸性であり、腸環境は胃に比べて比較的アルカリ寄りである。製品をこれらの環境に供した後、残りの製品をろ過し、乾燥させる。この製品残渣の重量を量り、最初の製品重量と比較する。%IVDは、最初の製品重量と比較した、溶解した製品の重量百分率である。溶解度試験をさらに以下に記載する。
リン酸緩衝液、0.1M、pH6.0:2.1gの無水リン酸水素二ナトリウム、および11.76gのリン酸二水素ナトリウム一水和物を1Lの容量フラスコ内で溶解させ、蒸留/脱イオン(dd)水を用いて、容量を合わせた。
1.番号が付されたダクロン繊維の小片を57℃のオーブン内に一晩置き、翌日重量を測定した。
7.100mlのパンクレアチン:リン酸緩衝液を各フラスコに加えた。穏やかに混合した。
a.工程4の時点
b.消化6時間後
c.工程7でNaOH溶液を加えた後
d.パンクレアチン:リン酸緩衝液を加えた後
e.24時間後。
好ましい実施の形態では、押出成形を利用して本発明に従った製品を製造して差し支えなく、ペレットの製造では二軸押出成形が好ましい。ペレットは実質的に溶融し、押出後成形、好ましくは射出成型によって、特定の形状に形成される。射出成型の後、製品の個々の小片は、バリ除去(flash removal)のために整えられ、包装前に冷却される。
図4は、本発明のペット用噛み物製品の調製に使用して差し支えない、射出成型工程の図を示している。射出成型工程のための材料は、ペレットの形状で、容器1に供給して構わない。時折、輸送、載荷圧力および配合レシピの性質に起因して、ペレットは一塊になり、大きな付着ブロックを形成する傾向がある。よって、必要に応じて、各容器をデクランパー(de-clumper)2に輸送し、砕いて、個々のペレットを分離し、射出成型機4に供給可能にする。個々のペレットを容器3に回収し、供給機5に真空送出し、成形のための射出成型機に至る。
Claims (14)
- 熱可塑化成形可食性ペット用噛み物であって、該可食性ペット用噛み物の調製に用いられる組成物が、
a)前記噛み物の30〜50重量%の量の線維性タンパク質と、
b)前記噛み物の15〜25重量%の量の吸水性ポリマーと、
c)前記噛み物の15〜30重量%の量の可塑剤と、
d)前記噛み物の5〜15重量%の量の水と、
を含み、
前記線維性タンパク質は、分離小麦タンパク質、分離大豆タンパク質、およびカゼイン酸ナトリウムを含み、
前記吸水性ポリマーが100〜200の範囲のブルーム強度を有するゼラチンであり、
前記可塑剤は、グリセロールおよび/または水素化デンプン加水分解物であり、
該ペット用噛み物の溶解性が、インビトロ消失率(IVD)において60%から95%であることを特徴とする、可食性ペット用噛み物。 - 前記ペット用噛み物の溶解性が、85%から95%のインビトロ消失率(IVD)であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の可食性ペット用噛み物。
- 前記組成物が、脂肪、調味料、保存料、保湿剤、栄養素、および/または着色剤のうち、少なくとも1種類をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の可食性ペット用噛み物。
- 前記脂肪が植物油であることを特徴とする請求項3記載の可食性ペット用噛み物。
- 前記ペット用噛み物が、均質な塊からなることを特徴とする請求項1記載の可食性ペット用噛み物。
- インビトロ消失率(IVD)において60%から95%である溶解性を有する熱可塑化成形可食性ペット用噛み物の製造に使用するための組成物であって、該組成物が、
a)前記組成物の30〜50重量%の量の線維性タンパク質と、
b)前記組成物の15〜25重量%の量の吸水性ポリマーと、
c)前記組成物の15〜30重量%の量の可塑剤と、
d)前記組成物の5〜15重量%の量の水と、
を含み、
前記線維性タンパク質は、分離小麦タンパク質、分離大豆タンパク質、およびカゼイン酸ナトリウムを含み、
前記吸水性ポリマーが、100〜200の範囲のブルーム強度を有するゼラチンであり、
前記可塑剤は、グリセロールおよび/または水素化デンプン加水分解物であることを特徴とする組成物。 - 脂肪、調味料、保湿剤、保存料、栄養素、および/または着色剤のうち、少なくとも1種類をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項6記載の組成物。
- 可食性ペット用噛み物の調製方法であって、
a)ペット用噛み物組成物を形成する工程であって、
(i)前記組成物の30〜50重量%の量の線維性タンパク質と、
(ii)前記組成物の15〜25重量%の量の吸水性ポリマーと、
(iii)前記組成物の15〜30重量%の量の可塑剤と、
(iv)前記組成物の5〜15重量%の量の水と、
を混合することにより、前記組成物を形成する工程と、
b)前記ペット用噛み物組成物を熱可塑化する工程と、
c)前記熱可塑化ペット用噛み物組成物を成形して前記ペット用噛み物を形成する工程と、
を有してなり、
前記線維性タンパク質は、分離小麦タンパク質、分離大豆タンパク質、およびカゼイン酸ナトリウムを含み、
前記吸水性ポリマーが、100〜200の範囲のブルーム強度を有するゼラチンであり、
前記可塑剤は、グリセロールおよび/または水素化デンプン加水分解物であり、
前記ペット用噛み物の溶解性が、インビトロ消失率(IVD)において60%から95%であることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記熱可塑化の工程が、押出成形によることを特徴とする請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記成形工程が、射出成型であることを特徴とする請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記ペット用噛み物組成物を、88〜150℃の温度に達する押出成形機のバレルを通過させることを特徴とする請求項9記載の方法。
- 前記ペット用噛み物が、長頭の頭蓋種を有するイヌ用であって、硬さが、
10kg未満の重量のイヌ用の場合は、33〜1270ニュートンの範囲であり、
10kg〜20kgの重量のイヌ用の場合には、300〜2125ニュートンの範囲であり、
20kg以上の重量のイヌ用の場合には、445〜2295ニュートンの範囲である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の可食性ペット用噛み物。 - 前記ペット用噛み物が、中頭の頭蓋種を有するイヌ用であって、硬さが、
10kg未満の重量のイヌ用の場合は、140〜1850ニュートンの範囲であり、
10kg〜20kgの重量のイヌ用の場合には、215〜2700ニュートンの範囲であり、
20kg以上の重量のイヌ用の場合には、485〜3630ニュートンの範囲である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の可食性ペット用噛み物。 - 前記ペット用噛み物が、短頭の頭蓋種を有するイヌ用であって、硬さが、
10kg未満の重量のイヌ用の場合は、125〜1535ニュートンの範囲であり、
10kg〜20kgの重量のイヌ用の場合には、150〜3100ニュートンの範囲であり、
20kg以上の重量のイヌ用の場合には、710〜4780ニュートンの範囲である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の可食性ペット用噛み物。
