Description
The present invention relates to an artificial hip joint socket fixed to an acetabular acetabulum and an artificial hip joint using the same.
Conventionally, in order to restore the function of a hip joint whose function has been reduced due to a disease or an accident, an artificial hip joint replacement technique in which the hip joint is replaced with an artificial one has been performed. The artificial hip joint is fitted to an artificial hip joint socket (hereinafter referred to as “socket”) fixed to the acetabular acetabulum, a stem fixed to the femur, and a stem neck portion of the stem. And a substantially spherical artificial bone head slidably accommodated in a substantially hemispherical recess located at the bottom center of the socket.
The socket of the artificial hip joint includes a synthetic resin main body portion having a substantially hemispherical outer peripheral surface and a metal wire, and the wire is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the main body portion. It is possible to confirm the position of the socket after surgery by radiography or the like (for example, see Non-Patent Document 1).
Moreover, since the conventional socket as described in the nonpatent literature 1 is wound on the outer peripheral surface in a state where the wire is accommodated in the groove located on the outer peripheral surface of the main body portion without any gap, For sterilization, γ-ray sterilization is usually employed.
However, when γ-ray sterilization is adopted, there is a problem that the size of the equipment increases, the manufacturing cost increases, and the main body made of synthetic resin tends to deteriorate.
On the other hand, if gas sterilization is employed instead of γ-ray sterilization, it may be possible to solve the problems caused by γ-ray sterilization.
However, as described above, the conventional socket is accommodated in the groove located on the outer peripheral surface of the main body portion without a gap, so there is no gap for gas to penetrate between the wire and the outer peripheral surface. Therefore, gas sterilization cannot be performed in a state where the wire is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the main body. That is, in order to sterilize a conventional socket by gas, it is necessary to sterilize the main body and the wire separately, and then assemble and package in a clean room or the like. There is a fear.
The subject of this invention is providing the socket for artificial hip joints which can perform gas sterilization in the state in which the wire was wound around the outer peripheral surface of the main-body part, and an artificial hip joint using the same.

According to the present invention, since the wire is accommodated in the groove located on the outer peripheral surface of the main body with a gap, a gas-permeable gap can be formed between the wire and the outer peripheral surface. There is an effect that gas sterilization can be performed even when the wire is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the main body. In addition, the wire can be accommodated in the groove on the outer peripheral surface with an appropriate holding force, so that the wire can be prevented from falling off from the main body during operation of the socket or during operation.
Hereinafter, a socket for an artificial hip joint and an artificial hip joint according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. As shown in FIG. 1, the hip prosthesis 1 of this embodiment includes an artificial
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 2, the outer
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The pair of
Here, as shown in FIG. 3, the inner
According to such a configuration, the
In the cross-sectional view described above, the groove width W1 is preferably 0.6 to 1.0 times the diameter d1. Thereby, since groove width W1 is the same as diameter d1, or becomes moderately small, it can suppress that
The groove width W1 is set to 0.6 to 1.2 mm, the diameter d1 is set to 0.6 to 2.0 mm, the groove width W2 is set to 0.6 to 1.2 mm, and the diameter d2 is set to about 0.6 to 2.0 mm. It is preferable to do this. The groove widths W1 and W2 may be the same or different from each other. The diameters d1 and d2 may be the same or different from each other.
In the cross-sectional view described above, the diameter D1 is preferably 1.2 to 2.0 times the diameter d1. Thereby, the
In the cross-sectional view described above, the outer lateral groove 321 preferably has a length L1 from one
In the present embodiment, both the outer lateral groove 321 and the inner
In the present embodiment, each of the pair of
As shown in FIG. 2B, the pair of
As shown in FIG. 2, the outer
The
The assembled
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 1, the
