用紙又は封筒のいずれか一方を給紙台の上面上に多数枚積載可能とされ、前記封筒の場合には前記封筒のうちで厚みが薄いフラップ部側よりも厚みが厚い底部側を給紙方向の下流側に設定して積載し、積載した最上層の前記用紙又は前記封筒を給紙ローラにより給紙する給紙装置において、
前記給紙台の給紙方向の上流側に可動可能に設けられ、前記用紙を積載する場合には前面が前記給紙台の上面と略同じ高さで収納され、一方、前記封筒を積載する場合には前記封筒のフラップ部側を上方に持ち上げて支持するように前記給紙台の上面よりも上方に向かって傾斜する第1可動板と、
前記給紙台の給紙方向の下流側に回動可能に設けられ、前記用紙を積載する場合には上面が前記給紙台の上面と略同じ高さに係止され、一方、前記封筒を積載する場合には前記封筒の底部側を下方に下げて支持するように前記給紙台の上面よりも下方に向かって傾斜する第2可動板と、
前記給紙台の給紙方向の上流側に形成した第1可動板収納部内で回動可能なシャフトに固着され、且つ、前記第1可動板の後面に接離するカム板と、
前記第1可動板収納部内から前記給紙台の一つの側面側に延出された前記シャフトに固着された切替え操作レバーと、備え、
