Description
The present invention relates to an electrical connector for electrically connecting two electrical components.
Examples of such an electrical connector include a board-to-cable connector that electrically connects a board and a cable, and a board-to-board connector that electrically connects two boards. The board-to-board connector is composed of a plug connector attached on one board and a receptacle connector attached on the other board, and the contacts of the plug connector are fitted into the receptacle connector receiving space. By contacting the two substrates, the two substrates are configured to be electrically connected.
In such a board-to-board connector, one of the first and second connectors is detachably mounted on the board for the purpose of, for example, stabilizing the electrical connection by absorbing the misalignment of both connectors. A so-called floating connector is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The electrical connector disclosed in
In the electrical connector disclosed in
This invention is made | formed in view of the said subject, and it aims at providing the electrical connector excellent in connection stability than before.
In order to achieve the above object, an electrical connector according to the present invention is held by a housing (for example, a
In the electrical connector having the above configuration, it is preferable that the positions of the tips of the two contact arm portions are aligned.
Further, in the electrical connector having the above-described configuration, the contact is connected to the holding portion in a first curved portion (for example, the first
In the electrical connector having the above-described configuration, it is preferable that tip ends of the two contact arm portions are formed in a rounded shape in the arrangement direction .
Moreover, in the electrical connector having the above-described configuration, it is preferable that a surface of the contact station portion that contacts the counterpart contact portion is formed in a curved surface shape.
According to the electrical connector according to the present invention, the contact portion of the contact is connected to the holding portion held by the housing, extends obliquely inward toward the entrance of the receiving space, and has two bifurcated shapes with open ends. These two contact arm portions are provided with contact local portions that come into contact with the counterpart contact portions, respectively, and these two contact local portions receive the counterpart connection portion of the counterpart electrical component in the receiving space. When coming into contact with the mating contact portion, it is provided so as to come in contact with the position shifted in the receiving direction and the direction orthogonal thereto. As described above, the contact portion of the contact and the contact portion of the mating contact point at two points by the two contact local portions respectively provided on the two contact arm portions, so that the connection stability is improved as compared with the conventional one-point contact electrical connector. Can be made. In addition, since the two contact local parts are provided with their positions shifted in the receiving direction, after one contact local part comes into contact with the counterpart contact part, the other contact local part comes into contact with the counterpart contact part (time difference contact). The operation feeling when receiving (fitting) the connecting portion of the mating electrical component can be made smoother (softer) than the conventional one-point contact electrical connector. In addition, since it is a configuration having a bifurcated contact arm portion shifted in the lateral direction (direction orthogonal to the receiving direction), each arm portion is independently elastically deformed and the contact local portion comes into contact with the counterpart contact portion. Contact reliability (connection stability) can be increased.
In addition, in the electrical connector having the above-described configuration, when the positions of the tips of the two contact arm portions in the contact are aligned, it is possible to easily perform a quality inspection after manufacturing the contact by looking at this portion. That is, by inspecting whether or not the tips of the two contact arm portions are aligned, it is possible to easily determine whether or not the contact is defective, and the contact quality inspection is facilitated. .
Further, in the electrical connector configured as described above, the contact is connected to the holding portion held by the housing and bent into an inverted U shape, and the contact is bent into a U shape connecting to the first bent portion. When it has a 2nd music part and a contact part is connected and provided in this 2nd music part, when the other electrical part is received (fitting) and the contact part of a contact is pressed, The contact portion moves inward by elastic deformation of the S-shaped portion formed by the first and second curved portions. For this reason, the two contact local parts in the contact part move in a substantially parallel and linear manner, and the contact pressures of the two contact local parts can be reliably brought into contact with each other contact part while maintaining the contact stability. It can be improved further.
Further, in the electrical connector having the above configuration, when the distance between the two contact arm portions in the contact is configured so that the tip end side is narrower than the base end side, the two contact arm portions are separated from each other. Since it becomes difficult to deform | transform, the possibility that two contact arm parts will buckle in the direction away from each other can be reduced.
Further, in the electrical connector having the above configuration, when the contact surface of the contact portion that contacts the counterpart contact portion is formed in a curved surface, the contact pressure can be concentrated, thereby further improving the connection stability. be able to.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. A
The

The mounting

The first
The
Each of the two
Next, in the
In order to electrically connect both the
As described above, in the
When the
Further, in the
