Description
The present invention relates to a resin composition for a yellow colored layer for a color filter capable of forming a yellow colored layer having high color reproducibility, contrast, and luminance.
Generally, a color filter used in a liquid crystal display device or the like includes a transparent substrate, a black matrix formed on the transparent substrate, and a colored layer formed in an opening of the black matrix. Here, it is known that the colored layer in the color filter is formed into a pattern by a photolithographic method or the like using a photosensitive resin composition for forming a colored layer containing a pigment of each color. Specifically, a colored layer forming photosensitive resin composition in which each color pigment, binder resin, polyfunctional monomer, photopolymerization initiator, and dispersant are dispersed in a solvent is applied onto a transparent substrate. A method of forming a patterned colored layer by exposing and curing the obtained coating film in a predetermined pattern and developing with an alkali developer is used.
Moreover, as a color filter, the color filter which has a colored layer of three colors of red (R), green (G), and blue (B) was common. As color characteristics of such a color filter, high color reproducibility, high contrast, and high luminance have been recently demanded particularly in color television applications. Here, as a method for improving color reproducibility, there is a method of increasing the concentration of the pigment contained in the colored layer. However, when the pigment concentration is excessively high, the content of components other than the pigment is relatively decreased. There is a problem that it is difficult for the formed colored layer to satisfy the physical property requirements.
With respect to such a problem, in
However, the yellow colored layer used in such a color filter is difficult to have both excellent contrast and brightness when the pigment concentration is high for the purpose of improving color reproducibility. There is a problem that it is difficult to form a yellow colored layer having excellent properties, contrast, and brightness. As a result, there is a problem that it is difficult to obtain a color filter that satisfies high luminance and high contrast.

The present invention relates to a yellow colored layer resin composition for a color filter, a photosensitive resin composition for a yellow colored layer for a color filter using the same, and a color filter using the same.
Hereinafter, the yellow colored layer resin composition for color filters, the photosensitive resin composition for yellow colored layers for color filters, and the color filter of the present invention will be described.
A. First, the resin composition for a yellow colored layer for a color filter of the present invention will be described. The resin composition for a yellow colored layer for a color filter of the present invention has at least a pigment, a binder resin, a dispersant and a solvent, the pigment contains PY139 and PY150, and the content ratio of PY139 and PY150 is 10 / It is in the range of 90 to 70/30.
According to the present invention, since the pigment contains PY139 and PY150, and the content ratio of PY139 and PY150 is in the range of 10/90 to 70/30, yellow coloration with high color reproducibility, contrast, and luminance is achieved. A layer can be formed.
Here, the reason why the above-described effect is obtained when the pigment contains PY139 and PY150 in the above-described ratio is presumed as follows.
That is, since PY139 contained in the pigment is isoindoline-based, it can have high color density, high color reproducibility, and high luminance. However, since the dispersibility is low, the contrast tends to be low.
On the other hand, PY150 contained in the pigment is nickel azo and has excellent dispersion stability, so that high contrast can be achieved.
For this reason, when the pigment contains both PY139 and PY150 and the content ratio of PY139 and PY150 is in the range of 10/90 to 70/30, the high color reproducibility and high brightness of PY139 are achieved. The effect that can be achieved and the effect that can achieve the high contrast of PY150 can be exhibited. These polyfunctional (meth) acrylates may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
In particular, when excellent photocurability (high sensitivity) is required for the photosensitive resin composition for a yellow colored layer for a color filter of the present invention, the polyfunctional (meth) acrylate has a polymerizable double bond. The content of the polyfunctional monomer is preferably 1% by mass or more, more preferably 2% by mass to 30% by mass with respect to the solid content in the photosensitive resin composition for a yellow colored layer for a color filter. Is within the range. If the content of the polyfunctional monomer is too small, photocuring does not proceed sufficiently and the exposed part may be eluted. Further, if the content of the compound having the polyfunctional monomer is too large, development may not be possible even in an unexposed portion.
2. Photopolymerization initiator As the photopolymerization initiator used in the present invention, those generally used for the production of color filters can be used.
Specific examples of such photopolymerization initiators include compounds that generate free radicals by the energy of ultraviolet rays, and derivatives such as benzophenone derivatives such as benzoin and benzophenone or esters thereof; xanthone, diethylthioxanthone, and isopropyl Thioxanthone derivatives such as thioxanthone; Oxime ester compounds such as Irgacure OXE-01, Irgacure OXE-02 (above Ciba, Specialty Chemicals), ADEKA OPT-N-1919 (Asahi Denka); Chlorosulfonyl, chloromethyl polynuclear aromatic Compounds, halogen-containing compounds such as chloromethyl heterocyclic compounds and chloromethylbenzophenones; triazines; fluorenones; haloalkanes; redox bonds of photoreductive dyes and reducing agents Examples thereof include organic compounds, organic sulfur compounds, and peroxides.
Moreover, the photoinitiator which has a tertiary amine structure can be used. Since the photopolymerization initiator having a tertiary amine structure has a tertiary amine structure that is an oxygen quencher in the molecule, radicals generated from the photopolymerization initiator are not easily deactivated by oxygen, and sensitivity can be improved. It has the advantage that it can.
As a commercial item of the photoinitiator which has the said tertiary amine structure, Irgacure 907, Irgacure 369 (above, Ciba Specialty Chemicals make), high cure ABP (made by Kawaguchi Pharmaceutical) etc. are mentioned, for example.

If the amount is less than the above range, radical polymerization cannot proceed sufficiently, curing becomes insufficient, and curability may be lowered. Moreover, it is because there exists a possibility that side reaction may occur easily and temporal stability may be impaired when it exceeds the said range.

(2) Luminance The luminance Y value defined in JIS Z8701 was measured for the obtained yellow colored layer using a microspectrophotometer (OSP-SP200, manufactured by Olympus Corporation). The results are shown in Table 2 below.
Measurement conditions were as follows: the light source was a C light source, the illumination magnification was 20 times, and the pinhole NO. 7 (50 μm).
(3) Contrast The obtained yellow colored layer was sandwiched between two polarizing plates (manufactured by Nitto Denko Corporation, trade name “NPF-G1220DU”), and back light (trade name “MELLOW 5DFL10EX, manufactured by Toshiba Corporation”). -DH "and color temperature 6500K) were turned on, and the luminance when the polarizing plate was orthogonal and parallel was measured with a luminance meter (trade name" LS-100 ", manufactured by Minolta). The contrast was calculated by the following formula using the measured value of luminance. The results are shown in Table 2 below.
Contrast = parallel luminance (CD / m 2 ) / orthogonal luminance (CD / m 2 )
(4) Developability After exposure and development with a 90 μm-wide stripe pattern as mask exposure, the pattern of the yellow colored layer obtained and the region where the photosensitive resin composition for the yellow colored layer for color filter was removed by the development The glass substrate was visually observed and evaluated according to the following criteria. The results are shown in Table 2 below.
・ When a good pattern is formed and there is no residue on the glass substrate: ○
・ When residue is formed on the glass substrate: ×
As shown in Table 2, in the examples, a yellow colored layer having high color reproducibility, luminance, and contrast could be obtained. On the other hand, in the comparative example, it was not possible to satisfy all.
