Description
本発明は、熱発泡性樹脂組成物、熱発泡性樹脂シート、発泡体およびその製造方法、詳しくは、各種産業分野で用いられる熱発泡性樹脂組成物、熱発泡性樹脂シート、発泡体およびその製造方法に関する。 The present invention relates to a heat-foamable resin composition, a heat-foamable resin sheet, a foam and a method for producing the same. It relates to a manufacturing method.
従来より、熱発泡性樹脂組成物は、樹脂および発泡剤を含有しており、加熱によりガスを発生させることにより、発泡可能であり、かかる発泡を利用して、各種産業分野に広く用いられている。 Conventionally, a heat-foamable resin composition contains a resin and a foaming agent, and can be foamed by generating gas by heating, and is widely used in various industrial fields by utilizing such foaming. Yes.
例えば、常温で固体である成膜性樹脂および熱膨張カプセルを含有する加熱膨張性接着剤組成物を、複数の被着体の間に配置し、その後、それらを加熱して、成膜性樹脂を発泡および硬化させることによって、被着体同士を接着することが提案されている(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。 For example, a heat-expandable adhesive composition containing a film-forming resin that is solid at room temperature and a thermally expandable capsule is placed between a plurality of adherends, and then heated to form a film-forming resin. It has been proposed to adhere adherends to each other by foaming and curing (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
また、ポリオレフィンおよび熱膨張性微小球を含有する補強剤組成物を、車体の鋼板に配置し、その後、それらを加熱して、ポリオレフィンを発泡および硬化させることによって、鋼板を補強することが提案されている(例えば、特許文献2参照。)。 It has also been proposed to reinforce the steel sheet by placing a reinforcing agent composition containing polyolefin and thermally expandable microspheres on the steel plate of the car body and then heating them to foam and harden the polyolefin. (For example, refer to Patent Document 2).
また、上記した特許文献1および2の熱発泡性樹脂組成物において、発泡剤として用いられる熱膨張性カプセルおよび熱膨張性微小球は、ガスバリアー性を有する熱可塑性樹脂からなる殻(シェル)と、その殻に内包される低沸点物質(コア、熱膨張剤)とを含有している。
In the thermally foamable resin compositions of
しかるに、特許文献1および特許文献2の熱発泡性樹脂組成物においては、成膜性樹脂およびポリオレフィンを発泡させるには、加熱によって、低沸点物質(コア)を熱膨張させるとともに、殻(シェル)を溶融または軟化させる必要がある。殻を十分に溶融または軟化させるためには、熱発泡性樹脂組成物を高温で加熱する必要がある。
However, in the thermally foamable resin compositions of
そのため、そのような熱発泡性樹脂組成物が配置される被着体または鋼板などの部材には、十分な耐熱性が必要とされる一方、かかる部材における耐熱性が不十分であれば、そのような部材(例えば、プラスチックなど)の保護の観点から、低温で加熱する必要がある。そうすると、熱発泡性樹脂組成物を十分に発泡させることができず、部材間を十分に充填することができないという不具合がある。さらには、部材を十分に接着または補強することができないという不具合がある。 Therefore, a member such as an adherend or a steel plate on which such a heat-foamable resin composition is disposed requires sufficient heat resistance, and if the heat resistance of such a member is insufficient, From the viewpoint of protecting such a member (for example, plastic), it is necessary to heat at a low temperature. If it does so, there exists a malfunction that a thermally foamable resin composition cannot fully be made to foam, and cannot fully fill between members. Furthermore, there is a problem that the members cannot be sufficiently bonded or reinforced.

Since the density is 15 to 100 g / L, the heat-foamable resin composition and the heat-foamable resin sheet of the present invention can be sufficiently foamed by low-temperature heating.
そのため、本発明の熱発泡性樹脂組成物および熱発泡性樹脂シートは、低温で加熱しても十分に発泡させることができ、部材間を十分に充填することができる。さらには、部材を十分に接着または補強することができる。 Therefore, the heat-foamable resin composition and the heat-foamable resin sheet of the present invention can be sufficiently foamed even when heated at a low temperature, and can be sufficiently filled between members. 水性媒体に電解質を添加して水性媒体のイオン濃度を調整することにより、重合後の中実の樹脂への水の含浸を防ぐことができ、これにより、熱膨張性物質を重合後の樹脂に十分に含有させることができる。 By adjusting the ionic concentration of the aqueous medium by adding an electrolyte to the aqueous medium, it is possible to prevent impregnation of the solid resin after polymerization with water. Preferably, it is 3 to 10% by weight. The thermal expansion material may be added before the polymerization reaction, during the polymerization reaction, or after the completion of the polymerization, but is preferably added at a monomer conversion rate of 70% or more. More preferably, it is added at a polymerization conversion rate of 80% or more. 上記した方法により、樹脂に熱膨張性物質を均一に含有させることができる。 By the method described above, the thermally expandable substance can be uniformly contained in the resin.
つまり、中実の樹脂に熱膨張性物質が含有された発泡性樹脂粒子を得ることができる。 That is, expandable resin particles in which a thermally expandable substance is contained in a solid resin can be obtained.
すなわち、発泡性樹脂粒子は、中実(中空でない)で粒状の樹脂の表面から内部にわたって、熱膨張性物質が浸透されている。 That is, in the expandable resin particles, the thermally expandable substance is infiltrated from the surface to the inside of the solid (not hollow) granular resin.
発泡性樹脂粒子は、中実の球状(ビーズ状)または中実のペレット状、好ましくは、中実のビーズ状に形成されている。 The expandable resin particles are formed into a solid spherical shape (bead shape) or a solid pellet shape, preferably a solid bead shape.
また、発泡性樹脂粒子の最大長さの平均値(球状の場合には、平均粒子径)は、体積分率の粒径分布カーブにおける累積63%の値(D63)として、測定することができ、例えば、0.2〜1.2mm、好ましくは、0.3〜1.2mmである。 The average value of the maximum length of the expandable resin particles (average particle diameter in the case of a spherical shape) can be measured as a cumulative 63% value (D 63 ) in the particle size distribution curve of the volume fraction. For example, 0.2 to 1.2 mm, preferably 0.3 to 1.2 mm.
発泡性樹脂粒子の最大長さの平均値が上記範囲を超えると、意匠性および発泡性の均一性が低下する場合がある。発泡性樹脂粒子の最大長さの平均値が上記範囲に満たないと、熱膨張性物質が容易に揮発してしまい、貯蔵安定性が損なわれる場合がある。 If the average value of the maximum length of the expandable resin particles exceeds the above range, the uniformity in design and foamability may be deteriorated. If the average value of the maximum length of the expandable resin particles is less than the above range, the thermally expansible material easily volatilizes, and the storage stability may be impaired.

If the bulk density of the expandable resin particles after being immersed in warm water at 70 ° C. and foaming exceeds the above range, the expandability of the expandable resin particles is reduced, whereby the thermally expandable resin composition becomes 90%. There may be cases where sufficient foaming cannot be achieved by heating at or below ℃. If the bulk density of foamable resin particles after being immersed in 70 ° C. warm water and foamed is less than the above range, the foamable resin particles easily foam at a low temperature. In the process of preparing a thermally foamable resin composition by kneading, the foamable resin particles may be foamed, making it difficult to handle the foamable resin particles or the thermally foamable resin composition.
また、発泡性樹脂粒子は、80℃の温水に浸漬して発泡させた後のかさ密度が、例えば、10〜50g/L、好ましくは、10〜30g/L、さらに好ましくは、10〜25g/Lである。 The foamable resin particles have a bulk density of, for example, 10 to 50 g / L, preferably 10 to 30 g / L, and more preferably 10 to 25 g / L after being foamed by being immersed in warm water at 80 ° C. L.
The bulk density of the expandable resin particles is, for example, after adding 1-2 parts by mass of the expandable resin particles to 100-500 parts by mass of hot water having the above-described temperature and stirring them for 10-20 minutes to foam them. The foamed resin particles are taken out from the hot water, and the moisture is removed by natural drying all day and night. After that, the foamed resin particles are filled in a 100 mL graduated cylinder up to a 100 mL mark position, and the foamed resin particles are zeroed. Measured by weighing to a value of 1 g.

そして、本発明の熱発泡性樹脂組成物および熱発泡性樹脂シートが含有する発泡性樹脂粒子は、70℃の温水に浸漬して発泡させた後のかさ密度が、15〜100g/Lであるため、90℃以下の低温の加熱で発泡することができ、90℃以下の低温の加熱で、本発明の熱発泡性樹脂組成物および熱発泡性樹脂シートを十分に発泡させることができる。 The foamable resin particles contained in the thermally foamable resin composition and the thermally foamable resin sheet of the present invention have a bulk density of 15 to 100 g / L after being immersed in hot water at 70 ° C. and foamed. そのため、低温の加熱でも、樹脂組成物を確実に発泡させることができる。 Therefore, the resin composition can be reliably foamed even by low-temperature heating.
具体的には、この熱発泡性樹脂組成物は、90℃以下の温度(具体的には、50〜90℃)で発泡する。さらには、熱発泡性樹脂組成物は、80℃以下の温度(具体的には、50〜80℃)で発泡し、さらにまた、70℃以下の温度(具体的には、50〜70℃)でも発泡する。 Specifically, this thermally foamable resin composition foams at a temperature of 90 ° C. or lower (specifically, 50 to 90 ° C.). But it foams.
このようにして得られる発泡体は、65℃で30分加熱して発泡させた直後の密度が、例えば、0.05〜2.0g/cm3、好ましくは、0.05〜0.75g/cm3、さらに好ましくは、0.1〜0.5g/cm3、とりわけ好ましくは、0.2〜0.4g/cm3である。なお、発泡体の密度は、JIS Z8807に準拠して測定される。 The foam thus obtained has a density immediately after being foamed by heating at 65 ° C. for 30 minutes, for example, 0.05 to 2.0 g / cm 3 , preferably 0.05 to 0.75 g / cm 2 . cm 3 , more preferably 0.1 to 0.5 g / cm 3 , particularly preferably 0.2 to 0.4 g / cm 3 . 発泡体の密度が上記した範囲外であれば、発泡体の充填性(後述)が低下する場合がある。 If the density of the foam is out of the above range, the filling property (described later) of the foam may be lowered.
また、発泡倍率(つまり、熱発泡性樹脂組成物の発泡時の体積発泡倍率)が、例えば、1.3〜30倍、好ましくは、1.5〜20倍、さらに好ましくは、2〜16倍である。 The expansion ratio (that is, the volume expansion ratio at the time of expansion of the thermally foamable resin composition) is, for example, 1.3 to 30 times, preferably 1.5 to 20 times, and more preferably 2 to 16 times. It is.
発泡倍率は、[熱発泡性樹脂組成物(発泡前の熱発泡性樹脂組成物)の密度]/[発泡体(発泡後の熱発泡性樹脂組成物)密度]として算出される。 The expansion ratio is calculated as [density of thermally foamable resin composition (thermally foamable resin composition before foaming)] / [density of foam (thermally foamable resin composition after foaming)].
その結果、本発明の熱発泡性樹脂組成物を、上記した発泡温度を超える場合に、熱発泡性樹脂組成物が配置される部材(例えば、熱可塑性樹脂(プラスチック)などからなる樹脂成形品など)が損傷または劣化するような、低温の加熱が要求される各種産業分野に用いることができる。 As a result, when the thermally foamable resin composition of the present invention exceeds the foaming temperature described above, a member on which the thermally foamable resin composition is disposed (for example, a resin molded product made of a thermoplastic resin (plastic), etc.) ) Can be used in various industrial fields where low temperature heating is required.

The thermally foamable resin composition of the present invention is used for, for example, a hollow member of an automobile, specifically, vibration suppression, heat insulation, sound insulation, and reinforcement of a pillar. In that case, a sheet (thermally foamable resin sheet) formed from the thermally foamable resin composition is attached to the internal space of the pillar and then foamed by heating. Then, by filling the interior space of the pillar with the foam, the pillar is reinforced while preventing vibration and / or noise of the engine and further wind noise and the like from being transmitted to the vehicle interior. Can do.
Furthermore, the thermally foamable resin composition of the present invention is used, for example, for reinforcing automobile structural members, specifically, vehicle body steel plates, bumpers, instrument panels, and the like. In that case, first, a steel sheet reinforcing sheet is produced by laminating a constraining layer formed of glass cloth or the like on a sheet formed of a heat-foamable resin composition (heat-foamable resin sheet). Next, the thermally foamable resin sheet of the produced steel plate reinforcing sheet is attached to the above-described automobile structural member, and then foamed by heating. And the structural member of a motor vehicle can be reinforced with the steel plate reinforcement sheet provided with a foam.
また、図示しないが、本発明の熱発泡性樹脂組成物は、隣接する2つの部材の間に介在させて、90℃以下の加熱によって発泡させることにより、それらを接着することができる。 Moreover, although not shown in figure, the thermally foamable resin composition of this invention can be adhere | attached by interposing between two adjacent members and making it foam by heating below 90 degreeC.
一方、特許文献1の熱膨張性カプセルを混練して、混練物として熱発泡性樹脂組成物を調製する場合に、熱膨張性カプセルには、その混練時に、剪断力(シェア)がかかるので、シェルが破壊され、コアが流出し易くなる。その結果、混練物を加熱しても、樹脂を発泡させることが困難となる場合がある。
On the other hand, when the thermally expandable capsule of
しかしながら、本発明の発泡性樹脂粒子は、特許文献1のようなコアシェル構造でなく、熱膨張性物質が中実の樹脂に含有される構造であるので、かかる発泡性樹脂粒子に、混練時における剪断力(シェア)がかかっても、熱膨張性物質が流出することを防止することができる。
However, since the expandable resin particles of the present invention have a structure in which a thermally expandable substance is contained in a solid resin instead of the core-shell structure as in
そのため、混練物を加熱すれば、樹脂組成物を確実に発泡させることができる。 Therefore, if the kneaded product is heated, the resin composition can be reliably foamed.

一方、熱膨張カプセルEの揮発分量は、カタログに記載された値に基づいて計算した。すなわち、熱膨張性カプセルE(マツモトマイクロスフェアーF−36)は、約30%の水分を含んだウエットケーキとなっており、190℃では、この水分が揮発分となり、残り70%の不揮発分中、約25%が熱膨張性物質としてカプセルに内包された低沸点の炭化水素となるため、揮発分量=[水分約30%]+[内包ガス量70%×0.25=17.5%]として、算出した。 On the other hand, the volatile content of the thermally expanded capsule E was calculated based on the value described in the catalog. That is, the thermally expandable capsule E (Matsumoto Microsphere F-36) is a wet cake containing about 30% of moisture, and at 190 ° C., this moisture becomes volatile, and the remaining 70% of non-volatile content. Among them, about 25% is a low boiling point hydrocarbon encapsulated as a thermally expansible substance, so the amount of volatile content = [water content about 30%] + [encapsulated gas amount 70% × 0.25 = 17.5% ] Was calculated.
その結果を表1に示す。
(4) かさ密度
発泡性ビーズA 1質量部を、表1に記載の所定温度の温水400質量部に投入し、10分間撹拌してそれらを発泡させた後、発泡したビーズAを温水から取り出し、水分を一昼夜、自然乾燥により除去し、100mLのメスシリンダー内に、100mLの標線位置まで充填し、その発泡したビーズAを0.1gの値まで秤量することにより、発泡後のかさ密度(g/L)を測定した。
The results are shown in Table 1.
