Description
The present invention relates to a multifunction machine, a system, an information processing method, and a program.
There is a service for uploading data held by an information processing apparatus such as a PC to a server or a web service so that it can be accessed by a plurality of users or users at remote locations (hereinafter referred to as a data storage service). When the above-described service is used using an MFP (Multi Function Peripheral) equipped with a scanner, the MFP can upload scanned data to a data storage service. By using the data storage service, the user can access the scan data from anywhere.
However, all the uploaded data is stored in the same way, and the user cannot easily determine which file is important when checking the list of files. Therefore, as in Patent Document 1, a service that allows a user to arbitrarily tag scanned data is effective. Since the user can arbitrarily tag each data, it is possible to easily check which files are important when checking the list.
According to Patent Document 1, there is a function of attaching a tag designated by a user to data scanned by an MFP and storing it in a server. By attaching a tag, the searchability of scan data is improved, and the productivity of the system using the subsequent scan data is improved. In this function, tag information set in advance is managed by the server, and when uploading is performed from the MFP, the scan data and the tag are associated with each other and registered in the server. As a result, the server can hold the tagged data.
However, the tagging function in Patent Document 1 has a problem that it cannot cope with a data storage service having a specification in which a tag is attached only after uploading scan data to a server.
The present invention has been made in view of such a problem, and it is possible to cope with a data storage service having a specification in which a tag is attached only after uploading scan data to a server, and the user can operate efficiently. It aims to make it possible to do.
Therefore, the MFP having a scanner of the present invention, together with scan setting information, setting means for setting a flag indicating whether the setting information adds flag for scan data, the scan data in the setting unit When flag setting information for adding a flag is set, after uploading the scan data to a data storage service that can communicate via a network, the flag for the scan data is added to the data storage service. A communication means for requesting, and when the flag is set for the folder to which the scan data specified via the operation screen is uploaded, the setting means automatically sets flag setting information on the operation screen. To the folder where the scan data is uploaded. If is not set, to set the flag setting information in the operation screen based on the user operation.
According to the present invention, it is possible to cope with a data storage service having a specification in which a tag is attached only after uploading scan data to a server, and also enables a user to perform an efficient operation. it can.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
Here, there are the following reasons why the data storage service can be tagged only after uploading.
First, there is a desire to maintain consistency of tag information managed on the data storage service. Although the MFP (multifunction peripheral) and the server are connected via a network, communication may be interrupted during the upload process. In this case, the data storage service side may not have tag information or the uploaded scan data may be lost. Despite the fact that the user has done tagging, there may be a discrepancy between the user's recognition and the tag information managed by the data storage service, or there may be a problem with the tagged data and it may not be used normally Resulting in. By limiting the timing of tagging to only after uploading is completed, tags can be added only to those that have been successfully uploaded, creating a gap between user recognition and tag information managed by the data storage service. Absent.
Second, there is a need to separate the tagging process from the data upload process. HTTP communication is used for uploading data, but I want to describe separately the process of POSTing data and the process of searching for a file to which a flag is added and GET the result of adding a star. Therefore, it is necessary to separate the two processes separately.

<Other embodiments>
The present invention can also be realized by executing the following processing. That is, software (program) that realizes the functions of the above-described embodiments is supplied to a system or apparatus via a network or various storage media, and a computer (or CPU, MPU, etc.) of the system or apparatus reads the program. It is a process to be executed.
As described above, in the conventional system, it is necessary to upload the data after setting the scan, and to add a flag to the data after the data is uploaded. For this reason, there is a problem that it is complicated for a user who wants to add a flag or has to wait for a long time (until uploading is completed) in front of the MFP. However, according to each of the above-described embodiments, it is possible to perform scan settings and flag addition settings on one screen. In addition, since the user only has to set scanning and flag addition on the screen, there is no need to wait in front of the MFP until the uploading is completed. Further, since the flag is added after the data is uploaded, the flag added to the document is not inconsistent.
Therefore, it is possible to cope with a data storage service having a specification in which a tag is attached only after uploading scan data to the server, and it is possible to allow a user to perform an operation efficiently.
The preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, but the present invention is not limited to such specific embodiments, and various modifications can be made within the scope of the gist of the present invention described in the claims.・ Change is possible.
For example, in the above-described embodiment, the service A and the service B are described as services that can add a flag to data uploaded. Therefore, the operation
