Description
第1の熱膨張係数を有する第1材料層を提供する工程;
前記第1の熱膨張係数と異なることが好ましい第2の熱膨張係数を有する第2材料層を提供する工程;
インプラント又は刺激装置の通常の使用温度若しくは動作温度とは異なる温度で行われることが好ましい、前記第1層と前記第2層とを組み合わせて基板を形成する工程;
前記基板上にアレイ状に複数の赤外光源を配置する工程。前記赤外光源は、前記基板の主表面又は平面に実質的に垂直な方向に赤外線を出射するように配置されることが好ましい。
Claims (16)
- 基板(11)と、前記基板(11)上にアレイ状に配置された複数の光源(12)とを含む網膜補綴であって、
前記網膜補綴は、対象の眼内に埋め込まれ、網膜上又は網膜に隣接して位置するように構成され、且つ、
前記複数の光源(12)のそれぞれが赤外線を出射し、該赤外線が網膜の神経細胞を刺激するように構成されることを特徴とする網膜補綴。 - 基板(11)上にアレイ状に配置された複数の光源(12)を有する基板(11)が、対象の眼内に埋め込まれるように構成される請求項1に記載の網膜補綴。
- 複数の光源(12)のそれぞれが、0.75μm〜3.0μmの範囲の波長を有する赤外線を出射するように構成されるか;
複数の光源(12)が、網膜補綴に伝達される若しくは網膜補綴により生成される刺激信号に基づいて独立に作動するよう制御されるように構成されるか;
又は、
複数の光源(12)のそれぞれが、0.75μm〜3.0μmの範囲の波長を有する赤外線を出射するように構成され、且つ網膜補綴に伝達される若しくは網膜補綴により生成される刺激信号に基づいて独立に作動するよう制御されるように構成される請求項1から2のいずれかに記載の網膜補綴。 - 複数の光源(12)のそれぞれが、1.5μm〜2.5μmの範囲の波長を有する赤外線を出射するように構成されるか;
複数の光源(12)が、網膜補綴に伝達される若しくは網膜補綴により生成される刺激信号に基づいて独立に作動するよう制御されるように構成されるか;
又は、
複数の光源(12)のそれぞれが、1.5μm〜2.5μmの範囲の波長を有する赤外線を出射するように構成され、且つ網膜補綴に伝達される若しくは網膜補綴により生成される刺激信号に基づいて独立に作動するよう制御されるように構成される請求項3に記載の網膜補綴。 - 網膜補綴が、遠隔的に伝達される刺激信号を受信するように構成される請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の網膜補綴。
- 複数の光源(12)のそれぞれが、レーザダイオードを含み、前記レーザダイオードが集積回路又はマイクロチップ(15)などの半導体材料の上にアレイ状に配置される請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の網膜補綴。
- 基板(11)が、網膜に埋め込まれるように構成された、高分子膜などの可撓性ウェブ又は可撓性膜を含む請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の網膜補綴。
- 基板(11)が、眼内の水性環境から複数の光源(12)を密閉する材料の少なくとも1つの層又は塗膜(16)を含む請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の網膜補綴。
- 基板(11)が、網膜の湾曲に沿う湾曲を有するよう形成される請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の網膜補綴。
- 基板(11)の湾曲が、温度の影響及び前記基板材料の熱膨張係数の少なくともいずれかにより生じる請求項9に記載の網膜補綴。
- 基板(11)を網膜に固定するために固定手段が設けられた請求項1から10のいずれかに記載の網膜補綴。
- 対象において人工的な視力を生成するためのシステムであって、
周囲環境から画像を取得するための画像取得手段、
前記画像を処理して前記画像を画像信号に変換するための画像処理手段、
及び、
患者の眼内に埋め込まれ、網膜上又は網膜に隣接して位置するように構成された網膜インプラント又は刺激装置(10)を含み、
前記網膜インプラント又は刺激装置(10)が、基板(11)と、前記基板(11)上にアレイ状に配置された複数の光源(12)とを含み、
前記複数の光源(12)のそれぞれが前記画像信号に由来する個々の刺激信号に応答して赤外線を出射し、該赤外線が1つ以上の前記網膜の神経細胞を刺激するように構成されることを特徴とするシステム。 - 画像信号を、複数の光源を作動させるための複数の刺激信号に変換する信号処理手段(3)を更に含む請求項12に記載のシステム。
- システムが、対象の体に外部から着用される又は支持される外部部品と、前記対象の体内に埋め込まれる内部部品とを含み、画像取得手段及び画像処理手段が前記外部部品の構成要素を形成し、網膜インプラント又は刺激装置(10)及び信号処理手段(3)が前記内部部品の構成要素を形成する請求項13に記載のシステム。
- 外部部品が、画像信号を画像処理手段に伝達するための信号伝達手段を更に含み、前記信号伝達手段が、RF又は光学テレメトリー手段を含む請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 複数の光源(12)のそれぞれが、レーザダイオードを含み、前記レーザダイオードがマイクロチップ上に集積され、基板の表面に対して実質的に垂直な方向に赤外線を出射するように配置される請求項12から15のいずれかに記載のシステム。
