なお、各背クッションの長さはベッド本体の幅と同程度とすると、２つの背クッションでベッド本体の長手方向にほぼ対応する長さを得ることができ（通常のベッドは幅と長さの比が１：２強程度である。）。ソファーとして使用するときに好適である。
また、以下の実施例に示すように、脚を着脱自在とするとベッド本体の縦寸法に全て納めることができる効果があるが、ベッド本体に脚が固定されていてもよい。
