Description

The present invention relates to a roll paper holding device for holding roll paper such as a label roll used in a label printer or the like, and a printing apparatus including the device.

As a method of setting a label roll (roll paper) in a label printer or the like, there is a method of setting through a shaft in a hole of a winding core of the label roll.
However, in the case of this method, since the cover on the apparatus side portion is opened and the label roll is inserted from the side end of the shaft, there is a problem that a space sufficient to open and close the cover must be secured on the apparatus side portion.

To solve the above problem, a technique has been proposed in which the label roll can be loaded from above the set portion without performing the setting from the side of the shaft (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
The technology attaches a pair of bearings to a pair of opposing side plates, and houses a pair of balls (holding portions) and an elastic body that presses and biases the balls toward the label roll in the hollow portions of the pair of bearings, The core of the label roll is held from both sides by a pair of balls.

However, since the holding part that holds the core of the label roll is a ball (spherical), if the elastic force (biasing force) of the elastic body that biases the ball is weak, especially when a heavy label roll is set, There is a possibility that the label roll cannot be held and falls down as it is. In order to prevent this, it may be possible to use an elastic body with strong resilience, but if an elastic body with strong resilience is used, the movement of the ball will become heavy (dull) and it will be difficult for the ball to enter the core. In addition, when removing the label roll set forcibly, there is a problem that it is difficult to remove the label roll against the elastic force.

Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 1-62239

The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems of the prior art, and is a holding device that can load roll paper from above the set unit, and the roll paper can be easily attached to and detached from the set unit. It is an object of the present invention to provide a roll paper holding device that does not easily fall off in the insertion direction.

In order to achieve the above object, the roll paper holding device of the present invention is a roll paper holding device that holds both sides of a core hole of a roll paper on which the paper is wound in a roll shape, with a pair of opposing projecting and protruding holding members. The at least one holding member includes an inclination with which a part of the roll paper comes into contact when the roll paper is inserted between the holding members, and the at least one holding member takes out the roll paper held between the holding members. a slope and a portion in contact with the core hole periphery of the roll paper, and the angle of inclination of contact during insertion of the roll paper, rather greater than the angle of inclination in contact when retrieving roll paper, in contact upon insertion of the roll paper A peripheral portion having an angle larger than an angle of inclination contacting at the time of insertion is protruded and formed on both sides in the radial direction in contact with the inner surface of the inclined core hole (claim 1).
As the roll paper held by the roll paper holding device, the paper is wound around the outside of the paper tube (core), or there is no paper tube and the paper is rolled up to form a core hole at the center. The thing which was done is mentioned.
The holding member may be provided on both sides for holding the roll paper.

According to the above means, the pair of holding members for holding the roll paper are provided so as to be able to be ejected and retracted. Therefore, by inserting the roll paper between the holding members, the outer peripheral surface of the end of the roll paper in the axial direction When the holding member is pushed into the side plate against the elastic force of the elastic member, and the center hole center of the roll paper is located on the center line of the holding member, the holding member is pushed out by the elastic force of the elastic member, The roll paper is inserted into the core hole. And, since the angle of inclination that contacts when the roll paper is inserted is larger than the angle of inclination that contacts when the roll paper is taken out, the roll paper is held at the large inclination angle when the roll paper is set. . Therefore, the roll paper is prevented from falling down. In addition, since the angle of inclination formed when the take-out member is taken out is smaller than the angle of contact formed during insertion, the roll paper can be easily removed with less resistance than during insertion by moving the roll paper in the direction opposite to the insertion direction. Can do.

The inclination formed at the time of insertion formed on the holding member and the inclination that contacts at the time of taking out can be constituted by a surface or a wire (wire). In the case where the slope is constituted by a surface, the sloped surface that is in contact at the time of insertion and the sloped surface that is in contact at the time of taking out intersect with each other, contact the inner surface of the core hole of the roll paper, and stand up along the axial direction of the roll paper Is formed on the holding member (claim 2).
The top where the two inclined surfaces intersect may be left as it is in a ridgeline (mountain shape) state, or the top may be cut out with a predetermined width to form a flat top.

According to the above means, since the surface of the holding member (the surface facing the side edge of the roll paper) is formed by two inclined surfaces, the operation for inserting the roll paper and the operation for taking out the roll paper can be smoothly performed. It can be carried out. Then, due to the intersection of the two inclined surfaces, a wall portion standing along the axial direction is formed on both side portions (outer peripheral surface of the holding member) of the intersecting portion of the inclined surface, and the wall portion is a core hole of the roll paper. Since it contacts the inner surface of the (paper tube), it is held stably.

The formation starting position before Symbol periphery may if it is outside the central portion, for example, which may be formed from the middle of the inclined surfaces in contact during the roll sheet insertion (claim 3).

According to the above means, since the central part in the width direction of the inclined surface becomes gentler than the both sides because the both sides in the width direction have a large angle, the center with the relatively gentle inclination when inserting the roll paper. Since the end of the roll paper comes into contact with the sheet, resistance during insertion is reduced. In addition, since the walls provided on both sides of the inclined surface in the width direction protrude more in the axial direction of the roll paper, when the roll paper is set in the holding portion, the degree of catching with the roll paper is increased, Engagement between the roll paper and the holding member is ensured, and the roll paper can be reliably prevented from coming off.

In addition, the inclined surface that is in contact with the roll paper when taken out may be formed of only a single inclined surface as in the case of the inclined surface that is in contact with the insertion, but may be formed of a plurality of inclined surfaces having different angles. For example, you may form so that the approximate center part of the width direction of an inclined surface may swell from other parts toward the taking-out direction (Claim 4 ).
The bulge may be any of a mountain-shaped ridge line where left and right inclined surfaces intersect, or a gently convex curved surface.

According to the above means, when the roll paper is taken out, a part of the hole edge of the core hole (paper tube) of the roll paper is guided while being in contact with a part of the inclined surface. (Contact resistance) can be reduced.

Moreover, you may comprise the inclination which contacts at the time of insertion formed in the said holding member, and the inclination which contacts at the time of taking out with a wire (wire). For example, a linear material is formed of an arm material bent into a predetermined shape, and is fixed on a circular base (claim 5 ). In addition, the arm material fixed on the base may be either one in the center (on the diameter line) or a plurality of arms arranged in parallel.

According to the above means, the hole edge of the core hole (paper tube) of the roll paper is held in engagement with the arm member, and the outer peripheral surface of the end of the roll paper is inserted when inserted, and the core of the roll paper is taken out when taken out. Since the hole edge is guided while sliding on the arm member, insertion / removal can be easily performed with a simple structure.

In addition, the roll paper holding device having the above-described configuration can be used for various devices that use roll paper. For example, with the roll paper holding unit, and constitute a printing apparatus includes a printing unit for printing predetermined items on the roll paper held by the roll paper holding apparatus (claim 6). Examples of the printing apparatus include a receipt printer when the roll paper is a continuous paper, and a label printer when the roll paper is a label roll.

According to the above means, it is possible to provide a printing apparatus that can easily load and remove roll paper and can hold the roll paper firmly.

According to the roll paper holding device of the present invention, by inserting the roll paper between the roll paper holding devices, a pair of holding members are fitted on both sides of the core hole of the roll paper, and the roll paper is In the set state, the roll paper is held at the large inclination angle. In addition, the engagement between the roll paper and the holding member is ensured, and the roll paper can be reliably prevented from coming off.
In addition, since the surface of the holding member (the surface facing the side edge of the roll paper) is formed by two inclined surfaces, the operation of inserting the roll paper and the operation of taking out the roll paper can be performed. Guidance can be performed smoothly. And the core hole (paper tube) of the said roll paper contacts the wall part of the said holding member, and is hold | maintained stably. Therefore, the roll paper can be firmly held even if the elastic force of the elastic member that biases the holding member is weak.

Further, the configuration of claim 3 Symbol mounting, engagement between the roll paper and the holding member is ensured, it can be reliably prevented coming off the roll paper.
According to the configuration of claim 4 , when the roll paper is taken out, a part of the hole edge of the core hole (paper tube) of the roll paper is guided while contacting a part of the inclined surface. The load (contact resistance) when taking out can be reduced.
Further, according to the structure of claim 5, the hole edge of the core hole (paper tube) of the roll paper is held in engagement with the arm material, and the outer peripheral surface of the end of the roll paper at the time of insertion is Since the hole edge of the core hole of the roll paper is guided while sliding on the arm material, insertion / removal can be easily performed with a simple structure.
According to the configuration of the sixth aspect, it is possible to provide a printing apparatus that can easily load and remove the roll paper and can hold the roll paper firmly.

Thereby, loading and removal of the label roll (roll paper) 5 with respect to the roll paper holding device A, removal of the wound mount, maintenance of the printing unit, etc. can be performed by pulling the front frame 4 forward.

The case 1 is formed in a substantially square bottomed cylindrical shape with an open front surface, and guide rails 6 and 6 'are fixedly projected on the inner surface of one side wall from the front surface opening. The mounting substrate 8 is slidably fixed to the first and second guide frames 7 and 7 '. The mounting substrate 8 supports the roll paper holding device A, the printing unit B, the mount winding shaft 9, the drive mechanism 10 of the printing unit B and the mount winding shaft 9 and the like in a cantilever structure, and further, A front frame 4 that closes the front opening of the case 1 is attached. The front frame 4 is formed with a label issuing port for feeding out a label printed by the printing unit B disposed on the rear side of the front frame 4.

The printing unit B that prints predetermined items on the label paper of the roll 5 includes a thermal head and a platen roller, and is configured so that the platen roller and the mount winding shaft 9 are driven and rotated by the drive mechanism 10.

Hereinafter, the roll paper holding device A will be described in detail.
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 6, the roll paper holding device A includes a pair of opposing side plates 11, 11 ′ and holding members 12, 12 disposed so as to be able to appear and retract on opposing surfaces of the side plates 11, 11 ′. 'And elastic members 13, 13' for elastically urging the holding members 12, 12 'toward the opposing surface. And the label roll 5 can be taken out by inserting the label roll 5 between holding members 12 and 12 ', and pulling out the label roll 5 in the direction opposite to the direction of the insertion.
In the pair of opposing side plates 11 and 11 ′, one side plate 11 is fixed to the inner surface of the mounting substrate 8, and the side plate support bars 14 and 14 ′ are directed to the side plate 11 in the width direction of the case 1 with a single support structure. The other side plate 11 'is slidably / fixedly attached to the side plate support rods 14, 14'. That is, one side plate 11 holding the label roll 5 is fixed, and the other side plate 11 ′ is slidable in the width direction along the side plate support rods 14 and 14 ′. It can respond.

The side plates 11 and 11 'are formed of a synthetic resin material, and a circular cylindrical recess 15 that accommodates the holding members 12 and 12' and the elastic members 13 and 13 'is formed outwardly at the approximate center thereof. A retaining hole 16, 16 that stops the holding members 12, 12 ′ accommodated in the recess 15 from rotating in the circumferential direction and prevents the holding members 12, 12 ′ from jumping out of the recess 15 is formed in the peripheral wall 15. 'Is formed with notches facing each other. An engaging piece of a holding member 12, 12 ′, which will be described later, is fitted and engaged with the latching holes 16, 16 ′.
When the holding member 12 (or holding member 12 ') accommodated in the recess 15 is pressed by a label roll, the depth of the recess 15 is reduced when the holding members 12, 12' are immersed in the recess. The depth is such that (the angled inclined surface) is flush with the hole edge of the recess 15 or below the hole edge.

As shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B, the holding members 12 and 12 ′ are formed in a disc shape from a synthetic resin material, and the surface of the disc (the surface facing the end surface of the label roll 5) is two. The two inclined surfaces 12a and 12b are formed so as to protrude in a mountain shape in cross section of the holding member. That is, the holding members 12 and 12 ′ are formed to protrude in the center direction between the holding members by two inclined surfaces. At the rear end of the peripheral wall, engagement pieces 17 and 17 'are formed to be fitted and engaged with the latch holes 16 and 16' of the concave portion 15, whereby the holding members 12 and 12 'are prevented from rotating and the shaft is fixed. Bullet in and out in the direction.

The inclined surface 12a is an inclined surface along the insertion direction of the label roll 5 when the label roll 5 is loaded into the roll paper holding device A. When the label roll 5 is inserted, the inclined surface 12a A part thereof is in contact, and the inclined surface 12a is gradually inclined upward in the insertion direction, and the apex of the inclination is located closer to the insertion direction side than the center of the holding members 12, 12 ′.
In addition, the inclined surface 12b is an inclined surface that gradually inclines upward from the side opposite to the inclined surface 12a toward the insertion side, and a part of the periphery of the core hole of the label roll 5 comes into contact when the label roll 5 is taken out. The top of the slope is connected to the top of the slope 12a by a flat surface.
Further, the starting end positions of the two inclined surfaces 12a and 12b are substantially flush with the hole edges of the recesses 15 of the side plates 11 and 11 'or slightly lower than the hole edges, and insertion of the label roll 5 is not hindered. It is like that.

The inclination angle α1 (angle formed with the horizontal plane) of the inclined surface 12a is set to be larger than the inclination angle α2 (angle formed with the horizontal plane) of the inclined surface 12b. That is, the angle at which a part of the label roll 5 is in contact with the holding members 12 and 12 ′ is different between when the label roll 5 is inserted and when it is taken out. Further, since the inclination angle α2 is smaller than the inclination angle α1, the resistance when the label roll 5 is taken out is reduced, and if the inclination angle α1 is large, the portion protruding more in the axial direction (walls 19, 19 ′). Therefore, the label roll 5 can be reliably held at the portion (see FIG. 6). Further, both side portions of the inclined surface 12a in the width direction (portions where the apex of the inclined surface intersects the outer peripheral edge of the holding member) are further increased in inclination angle, and corner portions 18, 18 'are formed on both side portions. Yes. Thereby, substantially vertical walls 19 and 19 ′ having a substantially trapezoidal shape when viewed from the front are formed on the outer circumferences of the holding members 12 and 12 ′. In addition, the inclination angle which forms corner | angular part 18 and 18 'should just be larger than inclination-angle (alpha) 1 of the inclined surface 12a, the angle is arbitrary, and if the angle is large, the said walls 19 and 19' will protrude in an axial direction. As a result, the degree of catching with the paper tube 5c also increases.

Accordingly, the label roll 5 is inserted along the inclined surface 12 a, and the holding members 12, 12 ′ inserted into the recesses 15 of the side plates 11, 11 ′ by insertion of the label roll 5 are the paper tubes of the label roll 5. When the center of 5b (core hole) is positioned on the substantially center line of the holding members 12, 12 ′, the pressing of the holding members 12, 12 ′ is released, so that the elastic members 13, 13 ′ release the recesses 15 by the elastic force of the elastic members 13, 13 ′. It is pushed out in the protruding direction and is inserted into the paper tube 5 b of the label roll 5. The holding members 12 and 12 ′ fitted into the side end openings of the paper tube 5b have the vertical walls 19 and 19 ′ in contact with the inner surface of the paper tube 5c, and the label roll 5 is held by the holding members 12 and 12 ′. Holds securely.

Further, the inclined surface 12b is not formed as a single inclined surface. For example, as shown in FIG. 5B, the central portion of the inclined surface 12b extends along the take-out direction (moving direction) of the label roll 5. It is good also as a form which has the convex part 20 which rose. In this case, the convex portion 20 can be formed by joining right and left inclined surfaces (straight surface or spherical surface) at the central portion.
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the holding members 12, 12 ′ are set so that the inclined surface 12a faces obliquely upward. That is, the holding member is set so that the insertion direction of the label roll 5 faces the inclined surface of the inclined surface 12a.
Thereby, since the inclined surface which the outer peripheral edge part of the label roll 5 contacts is located in the direction which inserts the label roll 5, a label roll can be inserted smoothly.

FIGS. 8A, 8B, 8C, and 8D show examples where the holding member is deformed, and FIGS. 8A and 8B show the tips of the two inclined surfaces 12a and 12b in the previous embodiment. In the example of crossing with a substantially straight line, the previous embodiment corresponds to the top portion of this embodiment cut along the line 21. 8A and 8B, since the height from the peripheral wall to the top of the inclined surface is higher than that in the previous embodiment, the depth of the recess 15 formed in the side plates 11 and 11 'is shown in the previous embodiment. Need to be deeper.

8 (c) and 8 (d) show a mountain-shaped convex portion composed of two inclined surfaces 12a and 12b of the holding members 12 and 12 ′, and a synthetic resin or metal band plate 22 (arm material). Is bent into a mountain shape, and both side portions of the band plate 22 are fixed to the surface of the disk, and the band plate and the disk are formed in the same body. The mountain-shaped convex portion is not limited to the band plate, and may be formed by bending a rod or wire having a circular cross section into a mountain shape.

Next, the holding operation of the label roll 5 by the holding members 12, 12 ′ shown in the previous embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.
First, when the label roll 5 is inserted and set between the pair of side plates 11, 11 ′, as shown in FIG. 2B (or FIG. 5), the holding member attached to the side plates 11, 11 ′. It is inserted along the inclined surface 12a of 12, 12 ′ (see FIG. 7A).
As shown in FIG. 7 (b), the label roll 5 first has outer peripheral surfaces on both side edges of the label roll 5 hitting the lowest part of the inclined surface 12a of the holding members 12, 12 ′, and the label roll 5 is pushed in as the label roll 5 is pushed in. The holding members 12 and 12 'are inserted into the recesses 15 of the side plates 11 and 11' while compressing the elastic members 13 and 13 ', and the insertion of the label roll 5 is continued. In this way, since the outer peripheral surface of the label roll 5 is inserted while being in contact with the surface (the central portion of the inclined surface 12a) that is more inclined than the both sides of the inclined surface 12a, the contact resistance that the label roll 5 receives during insertion is small. Therefore, it becomes easy to insert the label roll 5.
When the outer peripheral surfaces on both side ends of the label roll 5 slide on the inclined surface 12 a and reach the top surface of the inclined surface 12 a, the holding members 12 and 12 ′ are completely in the recesses 15 on both end surfaces of the label roll 5. It is pushed in (see FIG. 7C).

Insertion of the label roll 5 proceeds, and the approximate center of the paper tube 5b (core hole) of the label roll 5 is located on the center line of the holding members 12, 12 ′, that is, the holding member in the paper tube 5b (core hole). When 12 and 12 'are engaged, the holding members 12 and 12' are pushed into the paper tube 5b (core hole) by the elastic force of the elastic members 13 and 13 'and are inserted into the paper tube 5b. (See FIG. 6).
When the holding members 12 and 12 ′ are fitted into the paper tube 5b of the label roll 5, a vertical wall along the paper tube 5b of the holding members 12 and 12 ′ is formed on the inner surface of the paper tube 5b (core hole). 19, 19 'contact. In addition, since the corners 18 and 18 'having an inclination angle larger than the inclination angle of the inclined surface 12a are formed on the front side of the vertical walls 19 and 19', the inner surface of the paper tube 5b (core hole) is Engage with the corners 18, 18 'and further insertion is stopped. Therefore, for example, the elastic members 13 and 13 ′ for elastically urging the holding members 12 and 12 ′ have a weak elastic force, and the holding members 12 and 12 ′ can easily appear and disappear by the weight of the label roll 5. In addition, the vertical walls 19 and 19 ′ and the corners 18 and 18 ′ formed on the peripheral surfaces of the holding members 12 and 12 ′ engage with the inner surface of the paper tube 5b (core hole), and the label roll 5 falls off. Is prevented.

When removing the label roll 5 supported by the pair of holding members 12 and 12 ', the label roll 5 is pulled out in the direction opposite to the insertion direction (front side). That is, when the label roll 5 is moved in the direction opposite to the insertion direction, the hole edge of the paper tube 5b (core hole) of the label roll 5 is inserted into the holding member 12, 12 'fitted into the paper tube 5b (core hole). The holding members 12 and 12 ′ are slid against the elastic force of the elastic members 13 and 13 ′ by sliding on the convex portions 20 of the inclined surface 12b along the take-out direction and on both side edges in the width direction of the inclined surface 12b. Are pushed into the recesses 15 of the side plates 11, 11 ′. Since the inclined angle of the inclined surface 12b is smaller than the inclined angle of the inclined surface 12a on the opposite side, the movement of the label roll 5 in the take-out direction can be performed more smoothly than the movement in the insertion direction.
When the movement of the label roll in the take-out direction proceeds and the side end surface of the label roll 5 reaches the apex of the inclined surface 12b, the holding members 12, 12 ′ are pushed into the recesses 15 of the side plates 11, 11 ′. Then, when the apex of the inclined surface 12b is passed, the tip of the inclined surface 12a becomes a downward inclined surface 12a along the take-out direction of the label roll 5, so that the label roll 5 can be easily taken out. The pressing force of the holding members 12, 12 'biased by the elastic members 13, 13' acts from the position where the side end surface of the label roll 5 abuts to the apex of the inclined surface 12b until the completion of removal.

The roll paper holding device of the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment, and can be appropriately changed without changing the gist of the present invention.
(1) In the embodiment, the roll paper insertion / removal direction is set to a position inclined forward by a predetermined angle with respect to the vertical line.
(2) In the embodiment showing the printing apparatus, the roll paper holding device is set at a position where the roll paper insertion / removal direction is inclined by a predetermined angle with respect to the vertical line. Good.
(3) In the embodiment, an example is shown in which corner portions having a larger angle than the inclination angle of the inclined surface are formed on both sides in the width direction of the inclined surface 12a of the holding members 12, 12 ′. The corners may not be present.
(4) In the embodiment, the roll paper is described with the paper wound in a roll shape outside the paper tube. However, the core hole is formed in the center by winding the paper in a roll shape without using the paper tube. The formed roll paper may be used.
(5) In the embodiment, the example in which the holding member having the angled inclined surface is provided on both sides for holding the roll paper has been described. However, the holding member having the angled inclined surface holds the roll paper. It may be arranged only on one side of the pair of members, and the other member may be a well-known bullet projecting / retracting member (for example, a sphere, a conical member, etc.).
(6) The embodiment has been described using an example in which one holding member 12 ′ is attached to the side plate. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the holding member 12 ′ is suspended and held from the other holding member 12 side. There is no limitation on the means by which the holding member 12 'is fixed.
(7) In the embodiment, the walls 19 and 19 ′ are shown as being vertically formed along the paper tube 5b. However, the walls 19 and 19 ′ are not limited to the vertical and can hold the label roll 5 to the extent that the walls 19 and 19 ′ can be held. The tip in the axial direction may be inclined downward toward the center of the holding member 12, 12 ′.
(8) The embodiment has been described with reference to FIG. 3 in which the holding members 12 and 12 ′ are attached at positions slightly shifted in the counterclockwise direction of the side plates 11 and 11 ′ in the drawing. In this way, by slightly shifting in the counterclockwise direction in FIG. 3, the label roll is inserted from the diagonally left direction in FIG. 3, and the label roll can be easily inserted. The orientation of the holding members 12 and 12 'is not limited to that in FIG. 3, but may be set so that the inclined surface 12a is directly above in FIG. In this case, the label roll 5 is inserted / removed in the vertical direction in FIG. 3, but the corners 18 and 18 ′ provided on both sides of the holding members 12 and 12 ′ are directed toward the center of the shaft. The label roll is securely held.
Further, the holding members 12 and 12 ′ may be set so that the inclined surface 12a is directed to the left. Since the holding member 12 and the mount winding shaft 9 are adjacent to each other in FIG. 3, the side plate support bar 14 ′ is adjacent to the side plate support bar 14 so that the distance between the holding member 12 and the mount winding shaft 9 is increased. By disposing at the position, the label roll 5 can be inserted / removed from the right direction. In this case, when the label roll 5 is set on the holding members 12 and 12 ', the label roll 5 is held by the walls 19 and 19' formed so as to protrude along the paper tube 5b. Is retained.
In any case where the inclined surface 12a faces right above or right in FIG. 3, when the label roll 5 is taken out, the paper tube 5b is taken out along the inclined surface 12b that is gentler than the inclined surface 12a. Therefore, the label roll 5 can be easily taken out.
In addition, although an example in which two walls 19, 19 ′ and two corner portions 18, 18 ′ are provided is shown, only the wall 19 and the corner portion 18 positioned in the upper part of FIG. 3 may be formed. Even in this case, since the label roll 5 is held by the walls 19 or the corners 18 of the holding members 12 and 12 ′ provided on the side plates 11 and 11 ′, the label roll 5 does not fall.
