Description
The present invention relates to a special fuel assembly storage can that stores a fuel assembly of recycled fuel that appears to be damaged, and a cask that stores the special fuel assembly storage can.
A fuel assembly used in a nuclear reactor is housed in a container called a cask and is transported or stored. Here, in order to ensure safety, the fuel assembly is carefully handled. For example,
Here, the fuel assembly is carefully handled so as not to be damaged. However, in order to handle the fuel assembly more safely, it is necessary to consider how to transport the fuel assembly that appears to be damaged. Hereinafter, a fuel assembly that appears to be damaged and needs to be handled separately from a healthy fuel assembly is referred to as a special fuel assembly.
Although the technique disclosed in
Here, the fuel assembly including the special fuel assembly generates heat due to the decay heat of the radioactive material. Therefore, the liquid (water used in nuclear facilities such as pure water and boric acid) stored together with the special fuel assembly in the special fuel assembly storage can receives heat from the special fuel assembly and tends to expand. However, since the inside of the special fuel assembly storage can is a sealed space as described above, the liquid in the special fuel assembly storage can cannot expand and the pressure rises. As a method for suppressing an increase in the pressure of the liquid in the special fuel assembly storage can, a method of introducing gas (air) into the space for storing the special fuel assembly in advance can be considered. In order to transport the special fuel assembly, it is necessary to consider the possibility of the special fuel assembly being exposed from the liquid.
The present invention has been made in view of the above, and an object of the present invention is to more safely suppress an increase in the pressure of a liquid in a special fuel assembly storage can.
In order to solve the above-described problems and achieve the object, the special fuel assembly storage can according to the present invention is isolated from a space for storing a healthy fuel assembly, which is a fuel assembly that appears to be not damaged. A special fuel assembly storage space that can store a special fuel assembly, which is a fuel assembly that appears to be damaged, together with a liquid, and a space that is isolated from the space that stores the healthy fuel assembly And a fluid communication space which is a space different from the special fuel assembly storage space for storing gas and liquid, and which connects the special fuel assembly storage space and the fluid storage space. And.
Fuel assemblies including special fuel assemblies generate heat due to decay heat of radioactive materials. Therefore, water, which is a liquid in the special fuel assembly storage space for storing the special fuel assembly, also receives heat from the special fuel assembly and the temperature rises. Then, the water in the special fuel assembly storage space expands. A part of the water in the special fuel assembly storage space moves to the fluid reservoir space via the space communication means. At this time, air, which is a gas in the fluid reservoir space, is compressed. Here, if there is no gas phase part in the fluid reservoir space, the special fuel assembly storage can can prevent the water in the special fuel assembly storage space and the fluid reservoir space from expanding further, and the pressure of the water. Rises. However, since the special fuel assembly storage can according to the present invention has a gas phase portion in the fluid reservoir space, the pressure of water can be suppressed by compressing air instead of water.
Further, the special fuel assembly storage can according to the present invention is not provided with a gas phase portion that is a portion in which gas is stored in the special fuel assembly storage space. The special fuel assembly storage can has a gas phase portion in a fluid reservoir space that is a space different from the special fuel assembly storage space. Therefore, the special fuel assembly storage can can suppress the possibility that the special fuel assembly is exposed from water. As a result, an increase in the temperature of the special fuel assembly can be suppressed. And the fall of the criticality prevention performance and radiation shielding performance as a cask can also be suppressed. Further, the user can trap air in the fluid reservoir space by sinking the special fuel assembly storage can into the pool. Therefore, the special fuel assembly storage can can reduce the labor for adjusting the amount of air in the fluid reservoir space. Further, when adjusting the amount of air guided to the fluid reservoir space, it is necessary to consider the possibility that an incorrect amount of air is introduced into the fluid reservoir space. However, the special fuel assembly storage can can guide a certain amount of air to the fluid reservoir space without the user adjusting the amount of air guided to the fluid reservoir space. Therefore, the special fuel assembly storage can can reduce the labor of the user. In addition, the special fuel assembly storage can can reduce erroneous operations by the user.
As a preferred aspect of the present invention, it is desirable that the space communication means is composed of a tubular member having one end opened to the special fuel assembly storage space and the other end opened to the fluid reservoir space. As a preferred embodiment of the present invention, it is desirable that the tubular member has a bent portion.
Here, when the fluid flows from the fluid reservoir space toward the special fuel assembly storage space, the posture of the space communication means according to the present invention needs to be maintained so as to have a portion that flows downward in the vertical direction. There is. Thereby, the special fuel assembly storage can according to the present invention can suppress the movement of air from the fluid reservoir space to the special fuel assembly storage space. When the shape of the space communication means has a bent portion, the space communication means can be used in the vertical direction when the fluid flows from the fluid reservoir space toward the special fuel assembly storage space, rather than when the space communication means is only a straight line. The number of postures having a portion flowing downward is increased. Therefore, with the above configuration, the special fuel assembly storage can according to the present invention can more suitably suppress the movement of air from the fluid reservoir space to the special fuel assembly storage space.
As a preferred aspect of the present invention, the tubular member is desirably formed in an annular shape or a spiral shape.
Here, the cask for storing the special fuel assembly storage can is designed and handled so that the fuel assembly can be safely transported. However, in order to transport the fuel assembly more safely, it is necessary to assume a case where the cask falls. However, with the above configuration, the space communication means of the special fuel assembly storage can according to the present invention allows the fluid to be stored from the fluid reservoir space even if the cask falls and the cask rolls. It has a portion that flows downward in the vertical direction when flowing toward the space. Therefore, even if the cask falls, the special fuel assembly storage can can suppress the movement of air from the fluid reservoir space to the special fuel assembly storage space.
As a preferred aspect of the present invention, a resistance when the fluid moves from the fluid reservoir space to the special fuel assembly storage space via the space communication means is increased, so that the special fuel assembly is removed from the fluid reservoir space. It is desirable to provide gas movement suppression means for suppressing the amount of the air that moves to the storage space via the space communication means.
With the above configuration, the special fuel assembly storage can according to the present invention can suppress the movement of air from the fluid reservoir space toward the special fuel assembly storage space.
As a preferred aspect of the present invention, the special fuel assembly storage space is provided inside a special fuel assembly storage space forming member that is a container that is long in one direction, and the fluid reservoir space is long in one direction. A center line of the fluid reservoir space forming member that is provided inside the fluid reservoir space forming member that is a container having a shape, and that extends along the longitudinal direction of the fluid reservoir space forming member, is a longitudinal direction of the special fuel assembly housing space forming member It is desirable to incline with respect to the centerline of the special fuel assembly storage space forming member along the line.
With the above configuration, the special fuel assembly storage can according to the present invention can be arranged such that the portion where the space communication means opens into the fluid reservoir space is disposed vertically downward in the fluid reservoir space. it can. Air, which is a gas, has a lower density than water, which is a liquid. Therefore, air accumulates in the vertical direction upper side than water. Thereby, the special fuel assembly storage can can secure a larger distance between the portion where the space communication means opens into the fluid reservoir space and the water surface in the fluid reservoir space. Thereby, the special fuel assembly storage can more suitably suppresses the possibility that air passes through the space communication means from the fluid reservoir space toward the special fuel assembly storage space.
As a preferred aspect of the present invention, it is desirable that the special fuel assembly storage space and the fluid reservoir space are provided inside one cylindrical member.
With the above configuration, the special fuel assembly storage can according to the present invention has a simple structure. Therefore, the special fuel assembly storage can according to the present invention is more easily manufactured. Further, the special fuel assembly housing can has a simple outer shape because the fluid reservoir space forming member is not provided outside the cylindrical member. Thereby, the special fuel assembly storage can is easily inserted into the dual-purpose cell for storing the special fuel assembly storage can provided in the cask.
As a preferred aspect of the present invention, it is desirable that the special fuel assembly storage space and the fluid reservoir space are formed by providing a partition plate inside the one cylindrical member.
The partition plate is generally simpler in structure than, for example, a combination of a tubular container or a tubular member as space communication means. Therefore, the special fuel assembly storage can according to the present invention is easy to obtain strength against the external force received when the cask falls.
In order to solve the above-described problems and achieve the object, a cask according to the present invention includes a barrel body formed in a cylindrical shape, a cask bottom provided at one end of the barrel body, A plurality of cells provided in a space surrounded by the cask lid portion provided at the other end, the trunk body, the cask bottom portion, and the cask lid portion, each of which is loaded with one fuel assembly; And at least one of the plurality of cells is a space that is isolated from a space that houses a healthy fuel assembly that is a fuel assembly that appears to be not damaged. A special fuel assembly storage space that can store a special fuel assembly that is considered to be a fuel assembly together with a liquid, a space that is isolated from a space that stores the healthy fuel assembly, and the special fuel assembly storage A special fuel assembly storage can comprising a fluid storage space for storing gas and liquid, and a space communication means for communicating the special fuel assembly storage space and the fluid storage space. It is formed in a size that can be stored.
The cask according to the present invention can store the above-mentioned special fuel assembly storage can inside. Therefore, since the cask according to the present invention has a gas phase portion in the fluid reservoir space of the special fuel assembly storage can, the water in the special fuel assembly storage can can be obtained by compressing air instead of water. An increase in pressure can be suppressed. The cask according to the present invention does not have a gas phase portion in the special fuel assembly storage space of the special fuel assembly storage can. The special fuel assembly storage can has a gas phase portion in a fluid reservoir space that is a space different from the special fuel assembly storage space. Therefore, the cask according to the present invention that stores the special fuel assembly storage can can suppress the possibility that the special fuel assembly is exposed from water. As a result, the special fuel assembly storage can can suppress the temperature rise of the special fuel assembly that is in contact with water, which has better heat transfer than air, and can also suppress the criticality prevention performance and the radiation shielding performance as a cask. it can.
Further, the user can trap air in the fluid reservoir space by sinking the special fuel assembly storage can into the pool. Therefore, the cask according to the present invention that stores the special fuel assembly storage can can reduce the labor for adjusting the amount of air in the fluid reservoir space. Therefore, the cask according to the present invention for storing the special fuel assembly storage can can reduce the labor of the user. In addition, the cask according to the present invention that stores the special fuel assembly storage can can also reduce erroneous operations by the user.
The present invention can suppress an increase in the pressure of the liquid in the storage can more safely.
Hereinafter, embodiments of a basket and a cask according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In addition, this invention is not limited by this embodiment.

The storage can 1 further includes a

FIG. 7 is an explanatory view schematically showing the storage can of
As shown in FIG. 7, the storage can 1 is first submerged in the pool with the
When the pressure of air in the
Next, as shown in FIG. 10, the special fuel assembly FRL is inserted into the special fuel
Here, the fuel assembly FR including the special fuel assembly FRL generates heat due to decay heat of the radioactive material. Therefore, the fuel assembly FR is transported or stored while being immersed in water in the
By the way, in the conventional storage can which does not include the
However, the storage can 1 of the present embodiment is not provided with the gas phase part AR in the special fuel
FIG. 11 is an explanatory view schematically showing the storage can of
Specifically, the posture of the storage can 1 is maintained so that the
(Embodiment 2)
FIG. 12 is an explanatory diagram schematically showing the storage can of Embodiment 2 that is laid down. FIG. 13 is a side view showing another storage can of the second embodiment which is laid down. A storage can 2 as a special fuel assembly storage can of Embodiment 2 shown in FIG. 12 includes a
As shown in FIG. 13, the storage can 2 is provided with a
With the above configuration, if the
(Embodiment 3)
FIG. 14 is an explanatory view schematically showing the storage can of the third embodiment that is laid down. A storage can 3 as a special fuel assembly storage can of Embodiment 3 shown in FIG. 14 includes a
In addition to the
The gas movement suppression means including the
Further, assuming that the
(Embodiment 4)
FIG. 15 is a cross-sectional view schematically illustrating the communication pipe of the storage can of Embodiment 4 that is laid down on a virtual plane orthogonal to the storage can centerline. A storage can 4 as a special fuel assembly storage can of Embodiment 4 shown in FIG. 15 includes a
With the above configuration, even if the
(Embodiment 5)
FIG. 16 is a cross-sectional view of the storage can of
The
With the above configuration, the storage can 5 can secure the

(Embodiment 6)
FIG. 19 is a cross-sectional view of the storage can of
With this configuration, the special fuel
The bottom 71b of the first
Further, assuming that the
As described above, the special fuel assembly storage can and the cask according to the present invention are useful for the technology for storing the special fuel assembly, and particularly suppress the increase in the pressure of the liquid stored together with the special fuel assembly.
