Description
The present invention relates to a power supply device having a function of discharging a smoothing capacitor.
Conventionally, as shown in FIG. 12, a
When operating the
When stopping the power supply to the
In the
However, the conventional
The present invention has been made in view of such a problem, and an object of the present invention is to provide a power supply device that can efficiently discharge charges stored in a capacitor and can be easily downsized.
The present invention is a pair of power lines connected to a DC load for supplying power from a power source to the DC load;
A switching element connected in parallel to the DC load between the pair of power lines, and a first power line connected in series to the DC load to one of the pair of power lines. A boosting unit having one reactor and boosting the voltage of the power source;
A smoothing capacitor connected in parallel with the DC load between the pair of power lines;
A discharge preventing diode provided between the switching element and the smoothing capacitor in the power line;
Between the terminals of the smoothing capacitor, a terminal connected to the power line on the side opposite to the power line provided with the first reactor and a terminal on the power source side of the first reactor via a switch. Electrically connected
Supply power from the power source to the DC load with the switch turned off,
The power supply from the power source to the DC load is stopped, and then the switch is turned on to discharge the charge stored in the smoothing capacitor through the switch and the first reactor. (1).
The power supply device is configured to discharge the charge stored in the smoothing capacitor through the first reactor when the switch is turned on.
If it does in this way, it will become possible to discharge the said electric charge using the resistance component of a 1st reactor. That is, when the switch is turned on, a closed circuit is formed in which the smoothing capacitor and the first reactor are connected in series. Therefore, the electric charge stored in the smoothing capacitor becomes a discharge current and flows through the first reactor. Then, the discharge current is attenuated by the resistance component of the first reactor. Thereby, the said electric charge can be discharged.
Since the first reactor is a component that constitutes the boosting unit, a relatively large size and a large heat capacity are used. Therefore, even when a large current flows through the first reactor and heat is generated, the temperature rise is small. Therefore, when discharging the smoothing capacitor, a large current can be passed through the first reactor, and the smoothing capacitor can be discharged in a short time. Therefore, it becomes easy to prevent an electric shock accident or the like.
Moreover, according to the said structure, since the 1st reactor which comprises a pressure | voltage rise part is utilized for discharge of a smoothing capacitor, it is not necessary to provide the reactor and resistance only for discharge. Therefore, the power supply device can be reduced in size and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a power supply device that can efficiently discharge charges stored in a capacitor and can be easily downsized.
A preferred embodiment of the present invention described above will be described.
The power supply device can be applied to an in-vehicle power conversion device (inverter) or a charging device.
In the power supply apparatus, the smoothing capacitor is an electrolytic capacitor, and a discharging diode is connected in parallel to the smoothing capacitor, and a cathode terminal of the discharging diode is connected to a terminal to which a positive voltage is applied of the smoothing capacitor. The anode terminal of the discharging diode is preferably connected to the terminal of the smoothing capacitor to which a negative voltage is applied (claim 2).
In this case, an electrolytic capacitor can be used as the smoothing capacitor. Thereby, the capacity | capacitance of a smoothing capacitor can be enlarged and it becomes easy to smooth the voltage added to DC load.
Further, when the discharging diode is connected in parallel to the electrolytic capacitor as described above, the electrolytic capacitor is less likely to fail. That is, the electrolytic capacitor has a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal, and on the contrary, when a voltage is applied, it may fail. If the discharging diode is not provided, LC resonance occurs between the electrolytic capacitor and the first reactor after the switch is turned on, and a voltage is applied to the electrode terminal of the electrolytic capacitor. Therefore, there arises a problem that the electrolytic capacitor fails.
Therefore, by connecting the discharge diode in parallel with the electrolytic capacitor as described above, it is possible to prevent the discharge current from flowing through the discharge diode and the reverse application of voltage to the electrode terminal of the electrolytic capacitor. Thereby, failure of the electrolytic capacitor can be prevented.
Moreover, it is preferable that the said pressure | voltage rise part is equipped with a 2nd reactor in the electric power line on the opposite side to the electric power line which provided the said 1st reactor among the said pair of electric power lines.
In this case, the overall inductance of the boosting unit is a value obtained by adding the inductance of the first reactor and the inductance of the second reactor. Therefore, compared with the case where only one reactor is used, the inductances of the first reactor and the second reactor can each be halved. Therefore, the resistance component of the first reactor can be reduced, and a large discharge current can flow through the first reactor when the smoothing capacitor is discharged. Thereby, the electric charge stored in the smoothing capacitor can be discharged in a short time.
In addition, after a filter capacitor is connected between the power supply side terminal of the first reactor and the power supply side terminal of the second reactor, and power supply from the power supply to the DC load is stopped. When the switch is turned on, the electric charge stored in the smoothing capacitor is discharged to the first reactor, and the electric charge stored in the filter capacitor is discharged to the second reactor. (Claim 4).
In this case, even when two capacitors, a smoothing capacitor and a filter capacitor, are provided, each capacitor can be discharged without using a discharge resistor. That is, the smoothing capacitor can be discharged using the first reactor, and the filter capacitor can be discharged using the second reactor. These two reactors are parts constituting the boosting unit. Therefore, it is not necessary to separately provide a reactor or resistor dedicated to discharge, and the power supply device can be reduced in size and the manufacturing cost of the power supply device can be reduced.
The switch is preferably a semiconductor switch.
In this case, the switch can be downsized as compared with the case where a mechanical relay is used.

In this example, an AC power source is used as the
As described above, the
Further, a
The

The
The smoothing
In order to stop the power supply from the

The

The effect of this example will be described. In this example, as shown in FIG. 1, the power line provided with the

When power is supplied from the
If the discharge diode 6 is not provided here, the charge stored in the smoothing

FIG. 7 and FIG. 8 show the results of calculating the temporal change of the current flowing through the discharge diode 6 and the voltage across the smoothing
In addition, the same configuration as that of the first embodiment is provided.

As shown in FIG. 10, this example is an example in which the number of capacitors is increased assuming a regenerative boost converter and inverter. In this example, similarly to the fifth embodiment, the
A switching
Further, as in the first embodiment, a

In this example, the

The electric charge stored in the

Further, the
In addition, the same configuration as that of the first embodiment is provided.
