Description
本出願は、その開示が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる2008年1月25日出願の米国仮出願61/023818の優先権を、米国特許法119条(e)に基づいて請求するものである。
本発明は、蛍光染料の注射後に記録された画像からの組織における心筋ブラッシュを評価する方法に関する。
有利に、蛍光画像における血管の側壁の位置は、境界検出アルゴリズム(例:Laplacian-of-Gaussian operator)を用いて決定され得る。
Claims (18)
- 蛍光造影された心筋組織におけるかん流を決定する方法であり、
画像処理装置が、前記心筋組織の画像において静的関心領域を決定する工程と、
前記画像処理装置が、前記静的関心領域内に位置する画素の蛍光強度値を測定する工程と、
前記画像処理装置が、前記静的関心領域内の全画素の測定された総画像強度の第1の所定割合部分を含む、画像強度値の最小の連続範囲内に位置する画素の強度値の平均からブラッシュ値を決定する工程と
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記画像強度値の最小の連続範囲は、測定された画像強度値の発生頻度ヒストグラムから決定されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の所定割合部分は、70%乃至30%であり、好ましくは60%乃至40%であり、最も好ましくは約50%であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ブラッシュ値は所定の期間にわたって決定されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ブラッシュ値は前記所定の期間にわたって継続的に決定されることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記画像処理装置が、時間に依存するブラッシュ値のスロープからブラッシュ速度を決定する工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記画像処理装置が、時間依存性のブラッシュ値のスロープからワッシュアウト速度を決定する工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記画像処理装置が、心筋組織の画像において、動脈血管を含む第2の静的関心領域を設定する工程と、
前記画像処理装置が、前記第2の静的関心領域における最も明るい画像の測定された総画像強度の第2の所定割合部分を含む高強度画像値の最小連続範囲内に位置する画素の強度値の総強度から前記動脈血管のピーク強度を決定する工程と
をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記第2の所定割合部分が約20%であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記画像処理装置が、手術前の、ブラッシュ値が最高になってからかん流の測定値が最高値になるまでの経過時間と、手術後の、ブラッシュ値が最高になってからかん流の測定値が最高値になるまでの経過時間と、を比較して手術の結果を決定する工程と
をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の方法。 - 画像内の血管を追跡する方法であって、
(a)画像処理装置が、血管を含む組織の蛍光画像を取得する工程と、
(b)前記画像処理装置が、血管の長さ方向に対して垂直に方向づけられた境界を用いて前記血管の区域を定める工程と、
(c)前記画像処理装置が、前記境界の間に伸びており、前記血管の側壁内に位置する、少なくとも1つの曲線部を構築する工程と、
(d)前記画像処理装置が、前記少なくとも1つの曲線から、血管のかん流を表す蛍光信号強度を決定する工程と
を含み、前記少なくとも1つの曲線は前記境界で終わり、前記境界に対して垂直を成していることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの曲線はスプライン関数で定義されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの曲線を構築する工程は、複数の曲線を構築することを含み、
前記蛍光信号強度を決定する工程は、前記境界から同じ距離を持つ、前記複数の曲線上の点の信号強度を平均することを含むことを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の方法。 - 前記蛍光画像における前記血管側壁の位置は、エッジ検出アルゴリズムを用いて決定されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記エッジ検出アルゴリズムは、ラブラシアン・オブ・ガウシアン(Laplacian−of−a−Gaussian)オペレータを用いて実行されることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記画像処理装置が、前記血管を含む前記組織の時系列蛍光画像を取得する工程と、
前記画像処理装置が、第1の画像において、前記血管側壁の位置から前記区域の特徴的な範囲を決定する工程と、
前記画像処理装置が、少なくとも1つの第2画像から前記血管側壁の位置を決定する工程と、
前記画像処理装置が、前記少なくとも1つの第2の画像において前記第1の画像の前記血管側壁の位置を見つけるために、前記第1の画像からの前記特徴的な範囲を、前記第2の画像における前記血管側壁の位置に合致させる工程と、
前記画像処理装置が、前記少なくとも1つの第2の画像に(c)及び(d)の工程を繰り返す工程と、
をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の方法。 - 前記画像処理装置が、前記曲線上の全ての点における蛍光信号強度の平均を計算する工程と、
前記画像処理装置が、前記時系列画像間の前記平均蛍光信号強度の変化から、前記血管へのかん流における変化を決定する工程と
をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の方法。 - 蛍光造影された心筋組織におけるかん流を決定するシステムであって、
蛍光染料を含む心筋組織の関心範囲に対して前記蛍光染料を励起する励起光を照射する光源と、
前記励起光によって励起された前記蛍光染料から出射され、前記励起光とは異なる範囲の波長を有する蛍光を検出して前記関心範囲の画像を撮像する撮像装置と、
前記撮像装置で撮像された画像を、請求項1乃至17に記載の方法を用いて処理する画像処理装置とを備えることを特徴とする、システム。
