略上下方向に延びる商品収納搬送路に商品が積み重ねられて収納され、
商品収納搬送路の下端部に、商品が払い出される払出通路が設けられ、
払出通路に臨む一方側箇所に、払出通路を開閉して最下端の商品を払い出す払出機構が配設され、
払出通路に臨む他方側箇所において、払出通路を挟んで払出機構と対向する姿勢で、払出通路の有効通路幅を調整可能な通路幅調整板が配設された自動販売機の商品払出装置であって、
払出機構は、最下端の商品を払い出す下部ストッパと、下から二番目の商品の落下を規制する上部ストッパとを有し、
下部ストッパと上部ストッパとはそれぞれ、払出通路に臨む一方側箇所に設けられて、払出通路に対して出退自在であり、
払出機構が配設されている側に、下から所定番目の商品が立ち上がることを阻止する立ち上り阻止部材と、下から二番目の商品を通路幅調整板側へ押し付ける商品案内部材とが設けられ、
商品案内部材は立ち上り阻止部材よりも幅が広いことを特徴とする自動販売機の商品払出装置。
