Description
蛍光エポキシ樹脂含浸法は、蛍光染料を含有するエポキシ樹脂をセメント硬化体の空隙部分に含浸させ、これに紫外線や波長の短い光を照射して、発生する蛍光を観察する方法である。観察は肉眼で行うか、または落射式の蛍光顕微鏡を用いて行われる。
しかし、単なるひび割れ箇所だけではなく、ひび割れの周辺で微視的な破壊が生じた領域や、ペーストと骨材の界面領域(遷移帯と呼ばれる)にも蛍光物質が入り込むため、ひび割れの蛍光画像が不鮮明なものになる。
このように、蛍光エポキシ樹脂含浸法には、解像度や定量性に課題があった。
しかしながら、この方法では、金属元素を付着固定する際に、加熱、乾燥、熱分解の必要があるので、セメント硬化体に適用した場合には、新たなひび割れが生じるおそれがある。また、100μmを超える大きな欠陥部では、金属塩は欠陥内壁の一部の箇所に残存するに留まり、欠陥部の全体像を検出できないため、その分布や性状を正確に把握することは困難である。
さらに、観察する材料表面を平滑にするために切断や研磨が必要になるが、セメント硬化体は多孔質で空隙があるため、研磨すると人工的なひび割れが生じてしまうことから、この方法をセメント硬化体に適用することは困難であった。
しかして、セメント硬化体中には、蒸発性水分として毛細管水、ゲル空隙水、付着水があり、非蒸発性水分としてセメント水和物を構成する構造水がある。このため、セメント硬化体を50℃以上に保持することにより、元々あった亀裂が閉塞したり、新たなひび割れが発生するなど、硬化体の組織構造が変化してしまうおそれがある。また、100℃以上に保持した場合には、構造水までが蒸発して、水和物の形態が変化してしまう。このように、セメント硬化体を50℃以上の温度に保持することは望ましくなく、この方法をセメント硬化体に適用することはできない。
また、この方法で用いられるマーカー元素を分子内に有する樹脂は、一般に入手が困難であるとともに、試料調整等の条件を予め最適化する必要があり、作業上効率的ではなかった。
かかる有機ハロゲン化合物としては、例えば、ブロモホルム、臭化ベンジル等の液体;四臭化炭素、ブロモベンゼン、ブロモフェノール、ヨードホルム、ヨードフェノール等の固体が挙げられる。液体の場合は、樹脂液に混合して用い、固体の場合は、樹脂液に溶解させて用いればよい。
また、樹脂液の粘度は、セメント硬化体の空隙へ含浸させやすいことから、低粘度であるのが好ましく、20℃における粘度が、2〜1000mPa・s、特に80〜150mPa・sであるのがより好ましい。
樹脂液をセメント硬化体に含浸させるには、真空状態で含浸させるのが好ましい。例えば、真空容器中でセメント硬化体を樹脂液に浸漬又は接触させ、所定時間真空状態とした後、再び常圧(大気圧)に戻すことで、硬化体中の微細な欠陥部に樹脂液が充填される。
また、真空状態の容器内にセメント硬化体を入れておき、チューブなどで容器外から硬化物表面に作った土手の中に樹脂液を注入し、所定時間後に常温、常圧に戻す方法でも良い。
また、EPMAを用いることで、セメント硬化体の微視的観察の限界とされていた数十μm程度のひび割れよりもさらに細かなひび割れを検出することが期待される。すなわち、電子線のビーム径を1μm程度に絞り、解像度を上げることで、さらに細かなひび割れを検出できる。
EPMAの面分析では、試料面上の各ピクセルのX線強度から各元素の濃度を算出するため、定量的な評価が可能になる。蛍光エポキシ樹脂含浸法では、単に蛍光強度の強弱でひび割れを判断せざるを得なかったが、EPMAを用いる本手法では、濃度データとして数値が得られる。したがって、濃度に閾値を設定して閾値以下のピクセルを表示させないようにしたり、あるいは、所定の濃度範囲のピクセルだけを表示させることができる。
これにより、多孔質なセメントペースト中に形成された主要なひび割れだけを周辺部に比較してより鮮明に捉えたり、ひび割れ周辺部の微視的な破壊領域も含めた観察によりひび割れの発生や進展に関する情報を得ることが可能になる。
幅が数μm〜数十μmとされるセメントペーストと骨材の界面(遷移帯)の微細構造をより詳細に把握することができるため、骨材下面のブリーディングによる空隙部と乾燥収縮や外力作用によるボンドクラックとを識別したり、炭酸化などで多孔化した領域を調べて劣化進行度を推定することが可能になる。
このようにして、セメント硬化体中の空隙部を精度良く検出することができる。
また、構造物に加圧により、又は構造物から採取したコアの表面から、加圧又は減圧により、有機ハロゲン化合物を溶解又は混合した樹脂液を含浸させ、その後、所望の深さから硬化体試料を切り出し、有機ハロゲン化合物を含まない樹脂液を含浸させ、研磨して観察すれば、構造物表面に開口した連通空隙のみを検出することができる。上記の試料表面全ての空隙部を検出した結果と定量的に比較することにより、空隙部のうち、連通空隙部の割合や、分布の特徴、クラックの深さなどを分析することができる。
(1)試料の調製:
アルカリ骨材反応によりひび割れを生じたセメント系材料の硬化体(φ100×200mm)を試料とした。これを、コンクリート用ダイヤモンドカッターで、厚さ20mm程度の輪切りにした後、60×60mmの観察面を切り出した。欠陥部への樹脂液の浸透を良くするため、試料をデシケーター内に入れ、真空ポンプを稼働させた状態で約1〜2日乾燥させた。
ブロモホルムを20質量%含有するエポキシ樹脂の主剤60gと、硬化剤20gを混合攪拌した。エポキシ樹脂としては、超低粘度型注入補修用エポキシ樹脂(ボンドE205、コニシ株式会社;主剤はエポキシ樹脂、硬化剤は変性脂肪族ポリアミン;混合比(質量比)は主剤:硬化剤=3:1;混合粘度130±20mPa・s(20℃);可使時間45±10分(20℃、500g))を使用した。
乾燥させた試料に、アルミ製テープで土手を作り、硬化前の樹脂を高さ5mm程度まで入れ、これをデシケーター内に設置した後、真空ポンプを稼働させた。真空ポンプによる減圧は、約15分間行い、その後、常温、常圧に戻して樹脂を硬化させた。
硬化体の分析面全体を覆った樹脂を、♯250の研磨材で粗研磨して取り除いた。その際、樹脂が除去できたかどうかは試料の粗骨材部分を光学顕微鏡で確認しながら行った。その後、段階的に研磨材の粒度を細かくし(♯400→♯800→♯1000)、鏡面仕上げした。研磨材の伸展液として、市販のメタダイを使用し、研磨材を交換する際には、2−プロパノールで洗浄した。
鏡面仕上げした試料は、観察面に導電性を持たせるため、前処理としてカーボン蒸着を行った後、EPMAによる面分析を行った。分析条件は以下のとおりである。
(a)装置:電子線マイクロアナライザー(JXA8621、日本電子社製)。
(b)測定条件:加速電圧15kV、プローブ径50μm、ピクセルサイズ100μm、ピクセル数500×500。
(c)標準試料:Si、Ca(Wollastonite、SiO2=51.73%、CaO=48.27%)、Br(KBr、Br=67.14%)
図1は、Br(臭素)を検出したもので、マッピング図で白く線状に表示されている箇所がひび割れである。図2及び図3は、それぞれCa(カルシウム)、Si(ケイ素)を検出したものである。一般に、骨材はSi含有量が高いので、図3では、骨材箇所が白く映し出されている。また、セメントペースト部分と比べるとCa濃度が低いため、黒く映し出されている。このように、図1と図2(あるいは図3)を比較することで、ひび割れと骨材の位置関係を調べることが可能となる。今回の試料では、ひび割れは粗骨材周辺だけでなく、粗骨材の割れや複数の骨材を跨ぐひび割れがペースト部分に発生している様子を確認することができる。
Claims (3)
- セメント硬化体に存在する空隙部に、有機ハロゲン化合物を溶解又は混合した樹脂液を含浸させて常温、常圧で硬化させた後、表面を研磨し、電子線マイクロアナライザーにより、該有機ハロゲン化合物由来のハロゲン原子の分布状態を分析することを特徴とするセメント硬化体中の空隙部を検出する方法であって、前記ハロゲン原子が、臭素及びヨウ素から選ばれるものであり、前記樹脂液の樹脂が、エポキシ樹脂及びアクリル樹脂から選ばれるものであるセメント硬化体中の空隙部を検出する方法。
- 有機ハロゲン化合物が、沸点100℃以上のものである請求項1記載の方法。
- 有機ハロゲン化合物が、ブロモホルム、臭化ベンジル、四臭化炭素、ブロモベンゼン、ブロモフェノール、ヨードホルム及びヨードフェノールから選ばれるものである請求項1又は2記載の方法。
