Description
The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus such as a personal computer (hereinafter referred to as a PC) that outputs image data to image forming means such as a printer.
The information processing apparatus captures image data (PDF, photograph) using a scanner or camera into the apparatus, and prints the captured image data in the form as it is, or if the user needs it It has an editing function for printing image data edited in combination with image data such as characters and graphics by a printer.
A technique related to the editing function of such an information processing apparatus is disclosed in, for example,
The information processing apparatus includes an editing unit that edits image data captured in a PC, and a margin that indicates a size of a margin from a leading end of a print sheet to a print start position required for accurate printing of the image data. Margin data storage means for storing data for each printer type, and the margin data and the print start position of the print code are compared. When the print start position of the print code is within the margin, the print code starts printing. Printing position correction means for moving the position from the margin.
By the way, the margin of the printing paper is necessary to prevent the paper or the printing from being shifted from a predetermined position when the printer performs printing, and character information is printed on such an information processing apparatus. Various paper sizes and paper margins can be set by the user by operating the PC as required.
However, the conventional information processing apparatus, when printing image data, automatically fills in the number of print lines when the image data overflows into the margin of the printing paper and the image data cannot fit within the print area. (With reduced print size). For this reason, if the margin can be secured, but the image data includes a print code such as a barcode or a two-dimensional code, the printed content on the paper is the dot of the image data captured on the PC. It will be transformed into a shape different from the interval and shape. When the print code is deformed, the print code cannot be read, or it is read as information different from the original content and misjudged.
(Object of invention)
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and printing is possible without changing the scale of the image data even if the display target size of the image data is different from the printable size of the image forming means such as a printer. An object is to provide a simple information processing apparatus.
The present invention provides information used in an image forming system that prints image data in a display target area in a reduced size corresponding to the printable area when the display target area of the image data is larger than the printable area of the print medium. A processing device that analyzes whether or not a predetermined character string for instructing a size change is included in the image data, and if the predetermined character string is included, a size conversion unit for instructing the change, and a change instruction And a size extraction unit that changes the display target area size of the image data to a printable area of the print medium .
By configuring as described above, even when the display target size of image data and the printable size of an image forming apparatus such as a printer are different, the scale of image data is reduced in order to ensure a blank portion like the conventional one. Is not automatically changed, and printing can be performed at the original scale.
Embodiments of an information processing apparatus according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 2 is a block diagram illustrating a basic configuration of the information processing apparatus according to the first embodiment.
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The PC 2 includes a central processing unit (hereinafter referred to as a CPU), ROM and RAM that are storage media connected to the CPU via a data bus and the like, and a keyboard connected via an input interface (I / F). Etc. and a display connected via a display I / F.
The CPU includes a control circuit, an ALU, a register, and the like (not shown), and controls the operation of the
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The image
The image data
This “%% Dot Pattern Print” 6 is set so that the apparatus automatically senses that the input image data has data content that exceeds the margin of the paper and places it in the image data. .
When the image data
The image data
The print medium
The print medium
The state in which the image data is printed on the paper will be described. FIG. 9 shows an example in which the image data is reduced, and FIG. 10 shows the case of the present embodiment in which the image data is not reduced.
That is, FIG. 9A represents the paper size of the image data as a plane coordinate, and represents the entire image size of the image data from two points 8-1-A and 8-1-B in the coordinates. In addition, the display target size of the image data is represented from two points of 8-1-C and 8-1-D.
In the case of FIG. 9A, the entire image size of the image data is [0 0 595 842], and the display target size of the image data is [2 3 593 840]. The numerical values here are in units of points, and one point is set to 1/72 inch.
FIG. 9B shows the paper size corresponding to the entire image size of the image data as plane coordinates, and the paper size is expressed from two points 8-2-A and 8-2-B in the coordinates. The printable size is represented by two points, -2-E and 8-2-F. In the case of FIG. 9B, the paper size is [0 0 595 842], and the printable size is [16 16 589 826].
Since the display target size of the image data in FIG. 9A is [2 3 593 842], which is larger than the printable size [16 16 589 826] of the printer in FIG. 9B, printing is performed as it is. If this is done, the display target area of the image data in FIG. 9A will be reduced to the printable size of the printer in FIG. 9B and printed.
In the case of the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 10A, the display target size of the image data is 9-1-E by the crop function from the coordinates of two points 9-1-C and 9-1-D. And 9-1-F (trimming the size difference) to print without reducing the display target area of the image data in the printable area of the printer shown in FIG. I can do it.
As shown in the conceptual diagram of FIG. 5, the print medium size information table 15 is stored as data in the RAM, and “paper size” and “printable” for each paper size (for example, arranged in ascending order from the top). Correspondence table is constructed by associating “size”, and each size is shown in FIG. 9 and FIG. 10, and “paper size” and “printable size” are replaced with coordinate axes (horizontal X axis, vertical Y axis) The image data that fits within is related as the number of points. That is, when the paper size is set to a paper size such as B5, A4 or B4 in ascending order, the printable size can be printed within the margin of each paper. The center point (reference point) is set to “00”, and the number of points increases as it goes to the right and up sequentially. For paper (for example, A4 size), the upper right corner is set to the maximum value (595, 842). The figures are shown in a chart.
These restrictions are based on the data item “<< CropBox [23 593 840] / Parent40R / Contents130R / Rotate0 / MediaBox [00 595 842] / Resources <<>> / Type / Page> in the image data configuration example of FIG. > ”. Among these items, “/ CropBox” is a keyword that defines the printable size as a crop function, and “/ MediaBox” is a keyword that defines the paper size.
The

Next, the operation of the information processing apparatus according to the second embodiment will be described.

In the case of the image data of FIG. 3, the setting information of “/ CropBox” is regulated as [2 3 593 840], but this information is replaced with [16 16 589 826]. FIG. 4 shows the image data after replacing the display target size of the image data.

When the table reference point is updated, the image data
(S146)

If the image data
FIG. 9A shows the paper size of the image data as a plane coordinate, and represents the overall image data size of the image data from two points 8-1-A and 8-1-B in the coordinates. The display target size of the image data is represented from two points 1-C and 8-1-D.
9A is reduced to the printable size of the printer in FIG. 9B and printed.
Also in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 10A, the display target size of the image data is determined from the coordinates of two points 9-1-C and 9-1-D by the crop function. By substituting the coordinates of two points E and 9-1-F, it is possible to print without reducing the display target area of the image data in the printable area of the printer shown in FIG.
In the information processing apparatus according to the present invention, the image forming unit is applied to the printer in the above embodiment, but the present invention is not limited to this, and may be applied to a copier or MFP.
