Description
なお、本実施形態では、光ファイバー型電極A(光ファイバー1)の先端1aにレンズ(レンズ部)5が形成されているものとしたが、例えば図10から図12に示すようにレンズ5を備えずに光ファイバー型電極Aが構成した場合においても、従来の電極と比較し、生体組織に刺入する際の生体組織及び電極自体の損傷を軽減することが可能になるとともに、生体組織に対し、同一の電極を用いて細胞外から電気的、化学的、光学的刺激を印加したり、電気的、光学的応答を計測したりすることが可能である。
すなわち、本実施形態の光ファイバー型電極Bでは、導電性高分子層8、9、あるいは導電性高分子層8、9及び導電層6、7が、軸線O1を中心とする周方向に不連続に積層形成して配設されている。
また、各導電層6、7は、光ファイバー型電極B(光ファイバー1)の軸線O1方向に延びて配設されている。さらに、本実施形態において、複数の導電性高分子層8、9にはそれぞれ、異なる化学物質が埋包されている。

Claims (5)
- 先端にレンズ部を形成した光ファイバーと、
前記光ファイバーの前記レンズ部よりも軸線方向後方側の外周面上に積層形成された導電層と、
前記導電層上の一部に積層形成された導電性高分子層と、
前記導電性高分子層が積層されていない前記導電層上に積層形成された絶縁層とを備えて構成されるとともに、
前記導電性高分子層、あるいは前記導電性高分子層及び前記導電層が、前記軸線を中心とする周方向に不連続に積層形成して配設されていることを特徴とする光ファイバー型電極。 - 請求項1記載の光ファイバー型電極において、
互いに電気的に絶縁した状態で複数の前記導電層が前記光ファイバー上に積層形成され、互いに電気的に絶縁した状態で複数の前記導電性高分子層がそれぞれ、前記各導電層に積層形成されていることを特徴とする光ファイバー型電極。 - 請求項2記載の光ファイバー型電極において、
前記複数の導電層がそれぞれ、光ファイバー型電極の軸線方向に延設されていることを特徴とする光ファイバー型電極。 - 請求項2または請求項3に記載の光ファイバー型電極において、
前記複数の導電性高分子層の少なくとも一部が光ファイバー型電極の軸線方向の位置をずらして配設されていることを特徴とする光ファイバー型電極。 - 請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の光ファイバー型電極において、
前記導電性高分子層内に、正又は負に帯電した化学物質が埋包されていることを特徴とする光ファイバー型電極。
