Description

The present invention provides an electronic device suitable for an electronic unit such as an ECU mounted on an automobile, in which a circuit board is connected to a circuit on another circuit board via a wire harness while the circuit board is housed in a case. The present invention relates to a unit configuration module and an electronic unit using the module.

Some electronic units incorporating a circuit board are installed at a predetermined place in a state where they are housed in a dedicated case, such as an ECU mounted on a vehicle. In many cases, the electrical connection between the ECU and other electrical components is achieved by a combination of a board connector and a wire side connector as described in FIG. Specifically, as described in Patent Document 2, for example, the board connector includes a terminal fitting connected to a circuit on the circuit board and a housing holding the terminal fitting. On the other hand, the electric wire side connector is provided with the some electric wire side terminal with which the terminal of the electric wire contained in a wire harness etc. is each mounted | worn, and the housing holding these electric wire side terminals. Then, with the fitting of the housing of the wire side connector and the housing of the board connector, each wire side terminal is fitted with the corresponding terminal fitting of the board connector, so that each wire side terminal is The mounted electric wire and the circuit on the circuit board side to which the terminal fitting is connected are electrically connected.

The housing of the board side connector has a plurality of terminal accommodating chambers into which the respective electric wire side terminals are inserted, and each engaging portion provided in each of the terminal accommodating chambers is engaged with the electric wire side terminal. In general, the electric wire side terminal is configured to be locked to the housing, but recently, in order to more reliably prevent the so-called rear pull-out, that is, the electric wire side terminal is dropped from the housing due to electric wire load. As shown in FIG. 7 of FIG. 3, a resin terminal locking tool such as a secondary locking retainer is additionally attached to the housing of the electric wire side connector so that the electric wire side terminals are multiplexed with respect to the housing. What is locked is often used.

In an electronic unit such as an ECU or a connection structure that connects these electronic units, it is desirable to rationally reduce the number of parts while maintaining the performance and to reduce the manufacturing cost.

However, in the configuration of the above-described conventional ECU or the like, the electrical connection state is maintained by engaging the engaging portions (lock portions) of both the housings on the electric wire side and the board side, and the terminals are connected by the housing. Since the connecting portions are insulated, it is difficult to omit these housings. In addition, in a configuration in which a terminal locking tool is additionally attached to the housing of the electric wire side connector and the electric wire side terminals are engaged with the housing multiple times, in many cases, the temporary attachment position that allows insertion of the electric wire side terminals is allowed. Since the terminal locking tool needs to be mounted on the housing in a displaceable state to the mounting position for locking the wire-side terminal, for example, the terminal locking tool is formed integrally with the housing of the wire-side connector. Therefore, it is difficult to omit the terminal locking tool.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and appropriately achieves electrical connection between an electronic unit such as an ECU and other electrical components, while reducing the number of components. The purpose is to reduce the cost of the general connection structure.

In order to solve the above problems, an electronic unit constituting module according to the present invention comprises a board connector attached to the circuit board for connecting a circuit of the circuit board to an external circuit via an electric wire, and the board connector. An electronic unit constituting module including a circuit board case for accommodating a circuit board to which the circuit board is attached, wherein the circuit board connector is formed on the electric wire side terminal attached to the end of the electric wire and the circuit board The wire side having a plurality of terminal fittings each having a shape connectable to a conductive path and a plurality of terminal accommodating recesses having a shape capable of directly inserting the wire side terminals and inserted into the terminal accommodating recesses A housing for holding each terminal fitting so as to be connectable to the terminal, and the electric wire side terminal inside the terminal storing recess of the housing. Each of the board cases includes a case main body having a shape capable of storing the circuit board in a state where the board connector is disposed at a specific position; The connector is formed so as to be attachable to the housing of the board connector attached to the circuit board housed in the case body, and is inserted into the terminal housing recess and locked by the first locking part. It has a 2nd latching | locking part which latches the electric wire side terminal further, and these case main-body parts and a 2nd latching | locking part are integrally formed.

The electronic unit according to the present invention includes a circuit board, a board connector attached to the circuit board for connecting the circuit of the circuit board to an external circuit, and a board case for housing the circuit board. An electronic unit includes the above-described electronic unit configuration module as the board connector and the board case.

In such a module for electronic unit configuration and the configuration of the electronic unit, the terminal of the terminal connection portion is obtained by directly inserting the electric wire side terminal attached to the end of the electric wire into the housing of the connector for the board fixed to the circuit board. While the insulation is maintained, the electric wire is electrically connected to the circuit of the circuit board, and the first locking portion in the terminal storing recess locks the electric wire side terminal (primary locking). Is maintained. In addition, in the state where the circuit board is housed in the case body of the board case, the second latching portion is inserted into the terminal housing recess of the housing and is primarily latched by the first latching portion. By further locking (secondary locking) the terminal, the wire side terminal is locked in multiple.

According to this configuration, the housing for the board connector provided with the terminal storing recess for receiving the wire side terminal and the first locking portion for locking the wire side terminal is the wire side housing (housing for the conventional wire side connector). Therefore, a dedicated electric wire side housing for holding the electric wire side terminals is not necessary. Further, a second locking portion for secondary locking of the electric wire side terminal is provided on the substrate case side, and the second locking portion and the case main body portion are integrally formed, so that the substrate case is conventionally provided. It also has the function of a terminal locking tool. Therefore, the connection state is maintained by fitting the wire side housing and the housing of the board connector while the wire side terminal is held by the dedicated wire side housing, and the terminal locking tool independent of the wire side housing. Compared with the conventional structure in which is mounted, it is possible to reduce the number of components and achieve the connection between the electronic unit (circuit board) and other electrical components with a cheaper configuration.

As a more specific configuration, the substrate case includes a connecting portion that connects the case main body portion and the second locking portion, and the case main body portion, the second locking portion, and the connecting portion are integrated. The connecting portion has a shape that allows relative displacement of the second locking portion with respect to the case main body so that the electric wire side terminal is locked by the second locking portion. Yes.

According to this configuration, even when there is a slight misalignment between the board connector and the board case in a state where the circuit board is stored in the case body, the relative displacement of the second locking portion with respect to the case body is small. By being permitted, the electric wire side terminal is locked by the second locking portion without any trouble.

In this case, the case main body has an opening and is formed so as to accommodate the circuit board in a state where the housing of the board connector protrudes from the opening, and the second locking portion is It is preferable that the housing is connected to the case main body so as to be disposed at a position facing the housing protruding from the opening.

According to this configuration, as long as the circuit board is stored in the case main body, the second locking portion is disposed at a position facing the housing of the board connector, so that the second locking portion can be easily attached to the housing. Can be performed. In addition, since such an operation can be performed outside the case main body, workability is improved.

In addition to the above configuration, the substrate case has a first case component member and a second case component member that house the circuit substrate by being combined with each other in the thickness direction of the circuit substrate, The second locking portion is formed integrally with the first case component, and the first case component is combined with the second case component to which the circuit board is fixed. It may be formed so as to be attached to the housing of the board connector.

According to this configuration, if the first case constituent member is combined with the second case-side constituent member to which the circuit board is fixed, the second locking portion can be connected to the substrate without performing any special work. Mounted on the connector housing. Therefore, the assembly property of the electronic unit is improved.

In addition, the said 1st latching | locking part and the 2nd latching | locking part are favorable for the said electric wire side terminal, permitting insertion of the electric wire side terminal to the recessed part for terminal accommodation by applying the thing of the following structures, for example. Can be double-locked. That is, the first locking portion is bent and displaced in a direction perpendicular to the insertion direction with the insertion of the wire-side terminal into the terminal-receiving recess, whereby the wire-side terminal is inserted into the terminal-receiving recess. When the wire side terminal is inserted to a predetermined position where the wire side terminal is connected to the terminal metal fitting, it is engaged with the wire side terminal to restrict the displacement of the wire side terminal to the side opposite to the terminal metal fitting side. Consisting of a flexure piece formed in the housing to
The second locking portion is formed so as to restrain the electric wire side terminal from the side opposite to the terminal fitting in a state where the electric wire side terminal is inserted to the predetermined position with respect to the terminal accommodating recess of the housing. Has been.

In this configuration, when the wire side terminal is inserted into the housing of the board connector (in the terminal storage recess), the first locking portion primarily locks the wire side terminal, and thus the wire side terminal is primary formed. When the second locking portion of the board case is attached to the housing that is being used, the second locking portion secondary locks the electric wire side terminal.

According to the electronic unit configuration module of the present invention and the electronic unit of the present invention using this module, the conventional housing for holding the electric wire side terminal (electric wire side housing) is not required, and two electric wire side terminals are used. Since the second locking portion to be locked next is integrally formed on the substrate case side, an independent terminal locking tool as in the prior art becomes unnecessary. Accordingly, it is possible to appropriately achieve electrical connection between an electronic unit such as an ECU and other electrical components, while reducing the number of components and reducing the cost of the electrical connection structure.

Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 1 is a schematic plan view showing an example of a wire harness. A wire harness 1 shown in FIG. 1 includes an in-vehicle ECU 10 (electronic control unit) which is an electronic unit according to the present invention and a plurality of electric wires 2 for connecting this to other electrical components.

Each electric wire 2 is a covered electric wire, and one end thereof is connected to the ECU 10. The other end side of each electric wire 2 is bundled for each electrical component as a connection destination as shown in the figure, and a connector for external connection is provided at the end of this electric wire group. In the example shown in the drawing, the other end side of each electric wire 2 is bundled into three electric wire groups, and connectors C1 to C3 are respectively provided at the ends of these three electric wire groups. In other words, the ECU 10 is installed at a specific position of the vehicle, the connectors C1 to C3 are respectively coupled to the electrical component side connectors after the wire group is routed along a predetermined route, and thus included in the ECU 10. The circuit of the circuit board 12 described later and the circuit of the electrical component are electrically connected via the electric wire 2.

The “electronic unit” according to the present invention is not limited to the on-vehicle ECU 10 described above, and widely includes units having a predetermined electronic circuit.

2 and 3 show the ECU 10, FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the entire image (assembled state) of the ECU 10, and FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the ECU 10, respectively.

As shown in these drawings, the ECU 10 includes a circuit board 12 and a substantially rectangular parallelepiped board case 30 (hereinafter abbreviated as a case 30) in which the circuit board 12 is stored. In this example, the case 30 and a post-board connector 11 fixed to the circuit board 12 correspond to an electronic unit configuration module according to the present invention.

The case 30 includes a case main body portion 31 for housing the circuit board 12, a retainer portion 32 (second locking portion according to the present invention) that can be attached to the post-board connector 11 fixed to the circuit board 12. The case body portion 31 and the retainer portion 32 are connected to each other, and the case body portion 31, the retainer portion 32, and the connection portion 33 are integrally formed of a synthetic resin material. The case main body 31 is composed of a pair of upper and lower case constituent members 31a and 31b as will be described later. Strictly speaking, the upper case constituent member 31a, the retainer portion 32, and the connecting portion 33 of the case main body portion 31 are provided. It is integrally formed.

The case main body 31 has a box shape that is flat in the thickness direction of the circuit board 12 to be stored (hereinafter, this direction is referred to as the vertical direction) and has an opening 30a that opens to one side. It has a shape that can accommodate the circuit board 12 in a state where the post-board connector 11 to be fixed is disposed in the opening 30a. The retainer portion 32 has a shape that can be fitted into the housing 20 of the post-board connector 11 of the circuit board 12 housed in the case body portion 31 as described above, and is fitted into the housing 20. As a result, the later-described electric wire side terminal 3 inserted into the board connector 11 is locked. The configuration of the retainer portion 32 will be described in detail later.

The case 30 includes an upper case constituent member 31a and a lower case constituent member 31b that are separable in the vertical direction. Of the case constituent members 31a and 31b, the retainer portion 32 and the connecting portion 33 are integrally formed on the upper case constituent member 31a side.

The upper case constituent member 31a includes a substantially square top plate and has a shape integrally provided with side walls on three sides around the top plate. On the other hand, the lower case component member 31b includes a substantially square bottom plate that is slightly smaller than the top plate of the upper case component member 31a, and has a shape in which side walls are integrally provided around three sides of the bottom plate. And the said case 30 provided with the opening part 30a is comprised by the both case structural members 31a and 31b being piled up and down so that the side wall of the upper case structural member 31a may be fitted on the side wall of the lower case structural member 31b. ing.

Note that a locking window 34 is provided on a pair of side walls facing each other among the side walls of the upper case constituent member 31a, and a locking projection is provided on an outer surface of the pair of side walls facing each other among the side walls of the lower case constituent member 31b. When the case components 31a and 31b are fitted (combined) as described above, the locking projections 36 are inserted into the locking window 34, and both case components 31a are formed. , 31b are engaged with each other, whereby both case constituent members 31a, 31b are integrated.

The circuit board 12 is formed of a substantially square printed board and has a predetermined electronic circuit constituted by a conductive path and a mounting component formed on the board. A board connector 11 for connecting the electronic circuit to an external circuit, that is, a circuit of another electrical component, is attached to the circuit board 12 at an end position along one side thereof.

The circuit board 12 is positioned by a positioning portion such as a boss formed on the bottom surface inside the case (the bottom plate of the lower case constituent member 31b), whereby the board connector 11 is opened in the case 30 as shown in FIG. It is placed in a position 30a (corresponding to a specific position of the present invention) and protrudes to the outside, and is accommodated in the case 30 and fixed to the case 30 by fixing means such as screws.

As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the board connector 11 includes a synthetic resin housing 20 and a plurality of terminal fittings 24 held by the housing 20.

The housing 20 has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape extending along one side of the circuit board 12. The housing 20 extends in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the housing (hereinafter referred to as the width direction) and parallel to the surface of the circuit board 12 (hereinafter referred to as the front-rear direction). Then, a plurality of terminal accommodating recesses 22 that open toward the left) are provided.

These terminal storage recesses 22 are provided in two rows in the upper and lower rows in a row in the width direction of the housing 20, and the wire side terminals 3, which will be described later, are fixed to the terminals on one end side of the wires 2. It has a shape that can be inserted along the axial direction.

Each of the terminal fittings 24 is a male terminal having an axial shape, and is held by the housing 20 with one end thereof being inserted into the terminal housing recess 22. Specifically, each terminal fitting 24 has an L-shape having a horizontal portion extending substantially parallel to the surface of the circuit board 12 and a vertical portion extending in a direction orthogonal to the surface of the circuit board 12. The tip of the horizontal portion penetrates the rear partition wall 23 of the housing 20 and is held by the rear partition wall 23 in a state of being inserted into the terminal accommodating recess 22. As a result, a tab-like terminal connection portion 24a (hereinafter referred to as a tab-like connection portion 24a) for the electric wire side terminal 3 is constituted by a portion of the horizontal portion of the terminal fitting 24 that is inserted into the terminal housing recess 22. On the other hand, a board connecting portion 24b for the circuit board 12 is constituted by the vertical portion.

As shown in FIG. 4, the housing 20 is fixed on the circuit board 12 with the board connecting portions 24 b of the terminal fittings 24 inserted into the through holes 14 formed in the circuit board 12. And each terminal metal fitting 24 is soldered etc. with respect to the electroconductive part formed in the circumference | surroundings of the through hole 14, The housing 20 is fixed with respect to the said circuit board 12, and each terminal metal fitting 24 is a circuit. It is electrically connected to the electronic circuit of the substrate 12. The housing 20 may be fixed to the circuit board 12 by fixing means such as an adhesive or screwing.

The housing 20a is provided with a locking lance 25 (corresponding to the first locking portion of the present invention) for locking (primary locking) the electric wire side terminal 3 inserted into the terminal housing recess 22. ing. The locking lance 25 is composed of a flexure piece provided in the ceiling portion of each terminal storing recess 22 and capable of bending and displacing in the vertical direction, and is displaced upward as the electric wire side terminal 3 is inserted into the terminal storing recess 22. Thus, the insertion of the electric wire side terminal 3 into the terminal accommodating concave portion 22 is allowed, and when the electric wire side terminal 3 is inserted to the back end portion of the terminal accommodating concave portion 22, the electric wire side terminal 3 is engaged and reversed. The displacement of the wire side terminal 3 in the direction, that is, the side opposite to the terminal fitting 24 side (left side in FIG. 4) is restricted.

The housing 20 is further formed with a groove 21 that opens upward and extends in the width direction (the direction in which the terminal accommodating recesses 22 are arranged) at a position between the front end of the housing 20 and the locking lance 25. Thirty retainer portions 32 are attached (fitted) to the groove portion 21.

Here, the retainer portion 32 of the case 30 is formed so as to constitute a part of the terminal accommodating recess 22 in this example. Specifically, the retainer portion 32 has a rectangular parallelepiped shape that extends in the width direction along the opening 30 a of the case 30 and can be fitted into the groove portion 21. The retainer portion 32 has a plurality of through-holes having a cross-section substantially the same as the cross-sectional shape of the terminal accommodating recess 22 and penetrating in the front-rear direction in parallel in the width direction at the same pitch as the terminal accommodating recess 22. As shown in FIG. 4, when the retainer portion 32 is mounted on the housing 20 (temporary mounting state described later), the upper terminal storage in the upper and lower terminal storage recesses 22 is provided. A substantially intermediate portion of the concave portion 22 for use is constituted by these through holes 37, and a ceiling portion of a substantially intermediate portion of the lower terminal receiving concave portions 22 is constituted by the bottom portion of the retainer portion 32.

The retainer portion 32 is mounted on the housing 20 in a state in which the retainer portion 32 can be displaced in a vertical direction (a direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the terminal housing recesses 22 in each stage) by a certain dimension. Specifically, the retainer portion 32 has the terminal storage recess 22 of the housing 20 and the through-hole 37 of the retainer portion 32 continuously inserted in the front-rear direction to insert the later-described electric wire side terminal 3 into each terminal storage recess 22. It is provided so as to be displaceable at an allowable temporary mounting position (position shown in FIG. 4) and a main mounting position (position shown in FIG. 6) displaced downward from this position. Thus, as will be described later, the electric wire side terminals 3 inserted in the respective terminal storage recesses 22 in the upper and lower stages are restrained from the rear side.

The ECU 10 is assembled based on the following procedure. First, in a state where the case 30 is separated into the upper and lower case constituent members 31a and 31b, the circuit board 12 is fixed to the lower case constituent member 31b by fixing means such as screws. Next, the circuit board 12 is covered with the lower case constituent member 31b from above the circuit board 12, and is united with the lower case constituent member 31b to store the circuit board 12 in the case 30 (case main body 31). The retainer portion 32 is attached to the groove portion 21 of the housing 20 of the circuit board 12 and set at the temporary attachment position.

The case body 31 of the case 30 is a circuit board with the board connector 11 protruding from the opening 30a so that at least the groove 21 of the housing 20 of the board connector 11 is exposed to the outside. 12, and the retainer portion 32 is connected to the case body portion 31 so as to be disposed at a position facing the groove portion 21. That is, when the circuit board 12 is fixed to the lower case constituent member 31b and the upper case constituent member 31a is combined with the lower case constituent member 31b, the groove portion 21 of the housing 20 is exposed from the case main body 31 to the outside. Thus, the retainer portion 32 is disposed at a position facing the groove portion 21 exposed to the outside. Therefore, in the assembly operation of the ECU 10, the retainer portion 32 can be easily attached to the housing 20 outside the case body portion 31. In particular, the connecting portion 33 that connects the case main body 31 and the retainer 32 is formed to be elastically deformable so as to allow relative displacement of the retainer 32 with respect to the case main body 31. Even when there is a slight displacement between the connector 11 and the connector 11, the connecting portion 33 is elastically deformed, so that the retainer portion 32 can be mounted (fitted) to the housing 20 without hindrance.

The electric wire 2 is connected to the ECU 10 configured as described above. Hereinafter, the connection structure of the electric wire 2 to the ECU 10 will be described.

A wire-side terminal 3 as shown in FIG. 4 having a shape that can be fitted to the terminal fitting 24 of the board connector 11 is fixed to the end portion on the one end side of each wire 2. The wire-side terminal 3 is a female terminal having a box-shaped terminal connection portion 4 provided therein with a contact bending piece 4 a that can be bent and displaced in the vertical direction, and the tab-shaped connection portion of the board connector 11. 24 a is inserted into the terminal connecting portion 4 from the tip end side thereof, and is electrically connected to the terminal fitting 24 by contacting the contact bending piece 4 a.

Each electric wire 2 is connected to the ECU 10 (circuit board 12) via the board connector 11 by directly inserting the electric wire side terminal 3 into the housing 20 of the board connector 11.

The electric wire side terminal 3 is not held in a dedicated housing as in the prior art, but is directly inserted into the board connector 11 according to the following procedure, connected to the circuit on the circuit board 12 side, and securely held. . First, as shown in FIG. 4, the electric wire side terminal 3 is inserted into the terminal accommodating recess 22 along the axial direction in a state where the retainer portion 32 is set at the temporary mounting position. When the electric wire side terminal 3 is pushed into the inner end of the terminal storing recess 22 in this way, the tab-like connecting portion 24a of the terminal fitting 24 is inserted into the terminal connecting portion 4 of the electric wire side terminal 3 as shown in FIG. Then, the contact piece 4a comes into contact with the contact piece 4a, whereby the wire 2 is electrically connected to the circuit board 12 via the wire side terminal 3 and the terminal fitting 24. The tip of the locking lance 25 is engaged with the wire side terminal 3 by entering the locking window 4b provided in the terminal connection portion 4 of the wire side terminal 3, whereby the wire side terminal 3 is connected to the substrate. The connector 11 is directly locked in the housing 20.

Next, the retainer portion 32 of the case 30 is pushed into the housing 20 from above, thereby displacing the retainer portion 32 to the full mounting position. When the retainer portion 32 is displaced to the main mounting position in this manner, as shown in FIG. 6, the rear end portion of the retainer portion 32, specifically, the upper and lower rear end edge portions 36a and 36b of the through-hole 37 are respectively on the electric wire side The terminal 3 is slid to a position on the rear side (left side in the figure) of the terminal connection portion 4, whereby the electric wire side terminal 3 is restrained from the rear side by the retainer portion 32. That is, the electric wire side terminals 3 inserted into the respective terminal storage recesses 22 are locked in the direction of preventing the withdrawal from the housing 20 by the locking lances 25 provided in the terminal storage recesses 22 as described above. At the same time (referred to as primary locking), the retainer portion 32 is similarly locked in a direction opposite to the pulling direction (referred to as secondary locking), and as a result, the electric wire side terminal 3 within the housing 20 of the board connector 11. Both primary locking and secondary locking are performed.

According to the configuration of the wire harness 1 as described above, the electric wire side terminal 3 attached to the end of the electric wire 2 is directly inserted into the housing 20 (terminal accommodating recess 22) of the board connector 11 to thereby form the terminal. The wire 2 is electrically connected to the circuit of the circuit board 12 of the ECU 10 while maintaining the insulation of the connection portion, and the locking lance 25 and the like in the terminal housing recess 22 lock the wire side terminal 3. Thus, this connection state is maintained. In the state where the circuit board 12 is housed in the case 30, the retainer portion 32 of the case 30 is inserted into the terminal housing recess 22 of the housing 20 and is primarily locked by the locking lance 25. By further locking (secondary locking) the terminal 3, the wire side terminal 3 is locked in multiple.

That is, in this configuration, the housing 20 of the board connector 11 having the terminal housing recess 22 for receiving the wire side terminal 3 and the locking lance 25 for locking the wire side terminal 3 has the function of the wire side housing. A dedicated electric wire side housing (conventional electric wire side connector housing) for holding the electric wire side terminals is unnecessary. Further, a retainer portion 32 for secondary locking of the electric wire side terminal 3 is provided on the case 30 side, and the retainer portion 32 and the case main body portion 31 are integrally formed, so that the case 30 is a conventional terminal. It also has the function of a locking tool. Therefore, the connection state is maintained by fitting the wire side housing with the housing of the board connector while the wire side terminal is held by the dedicated wire side housing as in the prior art, and further independent from the wire side housing. Compared to the structure in which the terminal on the electric wire side is double-locked by attaching the terminal locking tool, the ECU 10 and the like are reduced by reducing the number of parts by eliminating the electric wire-side housing and the independent terminal locking tool. It is possible to achieve connection with an electrical component (external circuit) with a cheaper configuration.

In the above-described embodiment, the case 30 has a configuration in which the retainer portion 32 is connected to the case main body 31 via the elastically deformable connecting portion 33. For example, the connecting portion 33 is omitted and the case main body is omitted. It is good also as a structure which formed the retainer part 32 (2nd latching | locking part of this invention) in the part 31 (upper case structural member 31a). In this case, the circuit board 12 is fixed to the lower case constituent member 31b, and the upper case constituent member 31a is configured as the lower case so that the retainer portion 32 is set at the temporary mounting position with respect to the housing 20 of the board connector 11. After the electric wire side terminal 3 is inserted into each terminal storage recess 22 of the board connector 11, the upper case constituent member 31a is finally changed to the lower case constituent member 31b. At the same time, the retainer portion 32 is displaced from the temporary mounting position to the main mounting position to achieve secondary locking of the electric wire side terminals 3.

Further, in the board connector 11 of the embodiment, the terminal housing recesses 22 are formed in two rows in the upper and lower directions with respect to the housing 20, but may of course be one row or three or more rows. When the terminal accommodating recesses 22 are arranged in a row, it is not necessary to provide the through hole 37 in the retainer portion 32 of the case 30. Therefore, the connecting portion 33 is omitted and the case main body portion 31 (upper case constituent member 31a) is omitted. According to the above configuration in which the retainer portion 32 (second locking portion of the present invention) is directly formed, the assemblability of the ECU 10 is further improved as follows. That is, when the retainer portion 32 does not have the through-hole 37, it is not necessary to perform the insertion work of the electric wire side terminal 3 in a state where the retainer portion 32 is set to the temporary mounting position with respect to the housing 20 of the board connector 11. Therefore, in the assembly work of the ECU 10, first, the wire side terminal 3 is inserted with the upper case constituent member 31a completely removed from the lower case constituent member 31b, and then the upper case constituent member 31a is attached to the lower case. What is necessary is just to unite with the structural member 31b. As a result, it is possible to perform the insertion work of the electric wire side terminal 3 in a state where the board connector 11 is widely opened, and the assemblability is improved. In this case, the lower case constituent member 31b is united with the lower case constituent member 31b to which the circuit board 12 is fixed, so that the retainer portion 32 is attached (fitted) to the housing 20 of the board connector 11 along with this uniting. If the retainer portion 32 is formed as described above, the assemblability of the ECU 10 is further improved.
