The present invention relates to a cleaning robot that self-propels on a floor surface.

A conventional cleaning robot is disclosed in Patent Document 1. This cleaning robot is provided with a drive wheel in a main body housing having a substantially circular shape in plan view, and performs cleaning by running on the floor surface. At this time, in order to clean the lower part of the table or the like, the main body housing is formed to be thin and low in height. A scraping brush roller for collecting dust is provided on the lower surface of the main body casing, and a dust container is provided inside the main body casing.

In addition, this conventional cleaning robot includes a pointing device (remote controller) separate from the main body housing. The cleaning robot receives a start signal, a stop signal, etc. of the self-running mode from the pointing device, and executes an operation corresponding to these signals.

In the cleaning robot having the above configuration, when the cleaning operation is started, the driving wheel and the brush brush for scraping are driven. The main body casing is self-propelled on the floor surface in the room by the rotation of the driving wheel, and dust is scraped up from the floor surface into the main body casing by the brush roller for scraping. Dust scraped up from the floor is stored in the dust storage unit.

In addition, this conventional cleaning robot can perform the cleaning operation while running on its own according to an instruction from an instruction device (remote controller). A first exhaust path 24a and a second exhaust path 24b communicating with the exhaust ports of the motor case 22a are provided on both sides of the electric blower 22 of the housing 21, respectively. The first and second exhaust passages 24 a and 24 b communicate with an exhaust port 7 (see FIGS. 2 and 3) provided on the upper surface of the main body housing 2. The exhaust port 7 extends in a lateral direction perpendicular to the front-rear direction of the main body housing 2.

An ion generator 25 having a pair of electrodes (not shown) is disposed in the first exhaust path 24a. A voltage having an AC waveform or an impulse waveform is applied to the electrode of the ion generator 25, and ions generated by corona discharge of the electrode flow into the first exhaust path 24 a, that is, the exhaust flow between the electric blower 22 and the exhaust port 7. Released to the road.

A positive voltage is applied to one electrode, and hydrogen ions generated by corona discharge combine with moisture in the air to generate positive ions mainly composed of H + (H 2 O) m. A negative voltage is applied to the other electrode, and oxygen ions generated by corona discharge combine with moisture in the air to generate negative ions mainly composed of O 2 (H 2 O) n. Here, m and n are arbitrary natural numbers. H + (H 2 O) m and O 2 (H 2 O) n aggregate on the surface of airborne bacteria and odorous components and surround them.

Then, as shown in the formulas (1) to (3), the active species [.OH] (hydroxyl radical) and H 2 O 2 (hydrogen peroxide) are aggregated and formed on the surface of the microorganism or the like by collision. Destroy airborne bacteria and odorous components. Here, m ′ and n ′ are arbitrary natural numbers. Accordingly, it is possible to sterilize and deodorize the room by generating positive ions and negative ions and sending them out from the exhaust port 7.

+(H2O)m+O2 -(H2O)n→・OH+1/2O2+(m+n)H2O ・・・(1)
+(H2O)m+H+(H2O)m’+O2 -(H2O)n+O2 -(H2O)n’
→ 2・OH+O2+(m+m'+n+n')H2O ・・・(2)
+(H2O)m+H+(H2O)m’+O2 -(H2O)n+O2 -(H2O)n’
→ H22+O2+(m+m'+n+n')H2O ・・・(3)
H + (H 2 O) m + O 2 (H 2 O) n → OH + 1 / 2O 2 + (m + n) H 2 O (1)
H + (H 2 O) m + H + (H 2 O) m '+ O 2 - (H 2 O) n + O 2 - (H 2 O) n'
→ 2 OH + O 2 + (m + m ′ + n + n ′) H 2 O (2)
H + (H 2 O) m + H + (H 2 O) m '+ O 2 - (H 2 O) n + O 2 - (H 2 O) n'
→ H 2 O 2 + O 2 + (m + m ′ + n + n ′) H 2 O (3)

Here, the control board 14 is composed of a CPU 14a shown in FIG. 5 and other electronic parts (not shown) for controlling the operation of the cleaning robot 1 as a whole. The CPU 14a is a central processing unit that controls components such as the electric blower 22, the ion generator 25, and the traveling motor 51 based on programs and data stored and input in the storage unit 17 and the like, and performs a series of cleaning operations. Ion delivery operation is realized. Further, the CPU 14a receives a condition setting relating to the operation of the cleaning robot 1 by the user from an operation panel (not shown), and stores it in the storage unit 17 or the like.

The cleaning robot 1 includes a motor driver 22 a for driving the electric blower 22 and a motor driver 51 a for driving the traveling motor 51. The CPU 14a transmits a control signal to each of the motor driver 22a and the motor driver 51a to drive the electric blower 22 and the traveling motor 51.

The cleaning robot 1 also includes an infrared sensor 18 for detecting infrared rays irradiated around the main body housing 2. The infrared sensor 18 is a quantum type infrared sensor having, for example, 256 pixels in the vertical direction and 256 pixels in the horizontal direction. Has been. The CPU 14a is connected to the infrared sensor 18 via the control unit 18a, and obtains information related to infrared rays irradiated around the outside of the main body housing 2 based on an output obtained from the infrared sensor 18.

Further, the cleaning robot 1 includes an infrared remote controller 60 that is separate from the main body housing 2 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 5. When the user presses the irradiation button 60a, the infrared remote controller 60 emits infrared rays from an irradiation unit (not shown) to the outside. The infrared remote controller 60 is an instruction device that designates an arbitrary position in the installation space of the main body housing 2 by emitting infrared rays. The infrared sensor 18 provided in the main body housing 2 is a detection device that detects the indicated position designated by the infrared remote controller 60. When an instruction position for cleaning in the installation space of the main body housing 2 is specified using the infrared remote controller 60, the cleaning robot 1 moves by itself to the instruction position detected by the infrared sensor 18, and performs a cleaning operation. In addition, the cleaning robot 1 performs a cleaning operation while running on its own while moving to the designated position.

In the cleaning robot 1 having the above configuration, when a cleaning operation is instructed, the electric blower 22, the ion generator 25, the drive wheel 5, the rotating brush 9, and the side brush 10 are driven. As a result, the main body housing 2 makes the rotating brush 9, the drive wheel 5 and the rear wheel 16 ground on the floor surface F and self-travels within a predetermined range, and sucks an airflow including dust on the floor surface F from the suction port 6. At this time, the dust on the floor surface F is scraped up by the rotation of the rotating brush 9 and guided into the recess 8. Further, the dust on the side of the suction port 6 is guided to the suction port 6 by the rotation of the side brush 10.

The airflow sucked from the suction port 6 flows rearward through the first intake passage 11 as indicated by an arrow A1, and flows into the dust collecting unit 30 via the inflow port 34a. The airflow flowing into the dust collecting unit 30 is collected by the filter 33 and flows out from the dust collecting unit 30 through the outlet 35a. Thereby, dust is collected and accumulated in the dust collecting container 31. The airflow flowing out from the dust collection unit 30 flows forward through the second intake passage 12 as indicated by an arrow A2, and flows into the electric blower 22 of the motor unit 20 through the opening 23.

The airflow that has passed through the electric blower 22 flows through the first exhaust path 24a and the second exhaust path 24b. The airflow flowing through the first exhaust path 24a includes ions released by the ion generator 25. Then, an air flow containing ions in an oblique direction is exhausted upward and rearward from an exhaust port 7 provided on the upper surface of the main body housing 2 as indicated by an arrow A3. As a result, the room is cleaned, and ions contained in the exhaust of the self-propelled main body casing 2 are distributed into the room to be sterilized and deodorized in the room. At this time, since the air is exhausted upward from the exhaust port 7, it is possible to prevent the dust on the floor surface F from being rolled up and improve the cleanliness of the room.

The cleaning robot 1 can execute the cleaning operation and the ion delivery operation simultaneously as described above, and can also execute the cleaning operation and the ion delivery operation independently.

Further, when both wheels of the drive wheel 5 are rotated in opposite directions, the main body housing 2 rotates around the center line C, changes its direction, and turns. Thereby, while making the main body housing | casing 2 self-propelled to the whole desired range, an obstacle can be avoided and self-propelled. The main body housing 2 may be moved backward by reversing both wheels of the drive wheel 5 with respect to the forward movement.

When the cleaning is completed, the main body housing 2 self-propels and returns to the charging stand 40. Thereby, the charging terminal 4 contacts the terminal part 41 and the battery 13 is charged.

When the user designates the cleaning instruction position by the infrared remote controller 60, the cleaning robot 1 moves by itself to the instruction position detected by the infrared sensor 18, and performs the cleaning operation. Further, depending on the setting, the cleaning robot 1 can also perform the cleaning operation while traveling on its own while moving to the designated position.

Next, the operation related to the cleaning of the designated position by the cleaning robot 1 will be described along the flow shown in FIG. FIG. 6 is a flowchart showing an operation related to cleaning of the designated position by the cleaning robot 1.

When the operation of the cleaning robot 1 is started (start of FIG. 6), the CPU 14a operates the infrared sensor 18 via the control unit 18a while running the main body housing 2 to perform cleaning and ion delivery (FIG. 6). Step # 101 of 6). And it is determined whether the infrared sensor 18 detected infrared rays (step # 102). If the infrared sensor 18 is not detecting infrared rays (No in step # 102), the process returns to step # 101 and the infrared detection by the infrared sensor 18 is continued.

When the infrared sensor 18 detects an infrared ray (Yes in step # 102), the CPU 14a determines whether or not the detected infrared ray has an intensity equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold (step # 103). Note that a threshold value for the intensity of infrared light is predetermined and stored in the storage unit 17 or the like.

If the infrared sensor 18 has not detected an infrared ray with an intensity greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold (No in step # 103), the CPU 14a determines that the infrared ray emitted from the infrared remote controller 60 has not been detected (not detected). (Step # 104).

Then, it is determined whether or not the cleaning robot 1 is moving (step # 105). When the cleaning robot 1 is stopped (No in Step # 105), the process returns to Step # 101 and the infrared detection by the infrared sensor 18 is continued. On the other hand, when the cleaning robot 1 is moving (Yes in Step # 105), the main body housing 2 is stopped (moving is completed) (Step # 106), and the process returns to Step # 101 to detect infrared rays by the infrared sensor 18. Will continue.

When the infrared sensor 18 detects an infrared ray having an intensity equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold value in Step # 103 (Yes in Step # 103), the CPU 14a determines that the infrared ray emitted from the infrared remote controller 60 has been detected (Step # 107).

Then, the CPU 14a controls the traveling motor 51 via the motor driver 51a, and causes the main body housing 2 to move to the designated position and move (step # 108). Subsequently, the cleaning robot 1 performs a cleaning operation at the indicated position (step # 109).

In the cleaning operation at the indicated position, for example, the cleaning robot 1 drives the electric blower 22 and rotates both wheels of the drive wheels 5 in the opposite directions so that the main body housing 2 moves around the center line C without moving. To do. When this cleaning operation is executed for a predetermined time, the cleaning operation is stopped, and the process returns to step # 101 to restart infrared detection by the infrared sensor 18.

Note that, depending on the setting, it is also possible to execute the cleaning operation while making it self-run during movement to the designated position. Further, the time remaining for executing the cleaning at the designated position designated by the infrared remote controller 60 is set to a predetermined time as described above, and the time staying at the designated position is different according to the length of the designated time by infrared rays. You may decide to make it. Furthermore, the ion delivery operation may be executed independently during the time that it stays at the indicated position.

In addition, the designated position designated by the infrared remote controller 60 is set to one point as described above, and a plurality of designated positions are designated in succession to perform cleaning on a route connecting the designated positions. good. Further, it is possible to designate three or more designated positions and perform cleaning in an area surrounded by the designated positions. Then, the infrared remote controller 60 may continue to irradiate and move the infrared rays when the designated position is designated, and the cleaning robot 1 may follow the infrared rays to perform cleaning.

As described above, the cleaning robot 1 emits infrared rays to designate an arbitrary position in the installation space of the main body housing 2, the infrared sensor 18 that detects the designated position designated by the infrared remote control 60, And the cleaning operation is executed by moving to the indicated position detected by the infrared sensor 18. That is, when the user designates a desired position with the infrared remote controller 60, the cleaning robot 1 detects the designated designated position by the infrared sensor 18, and automatically moves to the designated position and / or moving to the designated position. Perform cleaning operation. As a result, it is possible to eliminate the time and effort required for cleaning the designated position desired by the user, and the user from feeling uncomfortable. Moreover, it can suppress consuming electric power more than necessary for the cleaning.

In addition, since the cleaning robot 1 varies the time at which it stays at the designated position according to the length of the designated time by infrared rays, the cleaning robot 1 performs the cleaning operation at the designated position at different times according to the length of the designated time. Therefore, cleaning at an arbitrary position desired by the user can be executed for an arbitrary desired time.

Further, since the pointing device for moving the cleaning robot 1 to the pointing position and executing the cleaning operation is the infrared remote controller 60 that emits infrared rays, and the detecting device for the pointing position is the infrared sensor 18 that detects infrared rays, With a simple handling method, the user can specify any desired position as the cleaning instruction position.

Further, since the cleaning robot 1 includes the ion generating device 25 that releases ions into the airflow flowing through the exhaust port 7, the cleaning robot 1 moves to an instruction position designated by the infrared remote controller 60 and performs a cleaning operation. Ions are delivered indoors at the location. Therefore, in addition to being able to automatically execute the cleaning operation at the designated position designated by the user, it is also possible to automatically perform the ion delivery operation at the designated position.

And according to the structure of the said embodiment of this invention, the cleaning robot 1 moves to the instruction | indication position which the user designated with the infrared remote control 60 automatically, and performs cleaning driving | operation. Thereby, the cleaning robot 1 can be easily guided to an arbitrary position desired by the user, and the cleaning at the user's designated position can be performed quickly and with low power consumption. Therefore, it is possible to provide the cleaning robot 1 capable of performing a cleaning operation with higher efficiency.

Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the scope of the present invention is not limited to these embodiments, and various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.

For example, the pointing device used as the infrared remote controller 60 in the above embodiment is not limited to a device that emits infrared rays, but may be a device that emits other electromagnetic waves or sound waves such as radio waves, visible rays, and ultraviolet rays.

ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, it can utilize for the cleaning robot which self-runs on a floor surface.
