Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an arbitrary viewpoint broadcast (wide-angle broadcast) receiving apparatus capable of reproducing a part of a video and a control method thereof, and relates to a technique for displaying a banner, a menu, and the like simultaneously with the video.
In recent years, with regard to videos such as broadcasts and optical discs, high definition has been advanced from about 720 * 480 pixels of the SD standard to 1920 * 1080 pixels. Furthermore, 7680 * 4320 pixel video is scheduled for the advanced satellite digital broadcasting standard for next-generation broadcasting. Therefore, there is a demand for a function that can enlarge and display an image area (hereinafter referred to as a partial area) that forms a part of the entire area of the high-definition image (hereinafter referred to as the entire area). For example, there has been proposed a playback apparatus that displays an image that is important to a producer or sometimes a user in accordance with an operation instruction of the user.
Consideration must be given so that a user can enjoy a video of a large subject even with a playback device having a relatively small display area such as a portable terminal device. In view of this, a method has been studied in which a partial area that is considered particularly important by the producer is multiplexed with video as meta information, and the partial area is reproduced by a user operation. On the other hand, when the display information for operation is displayed in the display area of the display device, the display signal for the latter is used so that the display information for operation and the video corresponding to the display signal for the received information do not overlap. There is known a technique for reducing an image in accordance with the above (see Patent Document 1).
When displaying a menu, a banner, or the like on the display screen, the method of simply superimposing these on a part of the video being reproduced has a problem that the video of the overlapped part may not be visible. Further, as in
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus and a control method for changing a video area so that menus, banners, and the like do not overlap the video in a broadcast receiving apparatus having a function of reproducing and displaying a part of the entire video.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention includes a first acquisition unit that acquires a video and region information indicating a predetermined region in the video, and a display target region in the video acquired by the acquisition unit. Based on the display unit for displaying the video and the region information acquired by the acquisition unit, the predetermined region in the video acquired by the acquisition unit is designated as the region to be displayed, Control means for controlling the display means to display the first video including a region, and the control means is configured to display a second video during display of the first video including the predetermined region. When display is instructed, the display target area in the acquired video is changed so that the video of the predetermined area and the second video do not overlap, and the changed area is included. The serial first image and said second image combined to control the display means to display.
According to the present invention, even when the second video is combined with the first video and displayed, the area of the video is set so that the second video does not overlap the displayed video. By changing, it is possible to prevent the user from missing important video.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a configuration example of a broadcast receiving apparatus according to the first embodiment. As an example of high-definition input video, viewing of an advanced satellite digital broadcast program received from an antenna will be described. In the following description, an area represented by pixels of the entire video of the received broadcast program is defined as an entire area. Furthermore, a partial area that the producer considers particularly important for a broadcast program has a recommended angle of view (hereinafter referred to as a recommended angle of view) and is multiplexed into metadata. For the recommended view angle, the designated area may change according to the temporal transition. The angle of view of the area that the user considers important is the user angle of view. The user angle of view can be arbitrarily instructed to the apparatus by using operation means such as a remote controller (hereinafter referred to as a remote controller).
The
The
なお、ARIBは「Association of Radio Industries and Businesses」(電波産業会)の略号である。

In “component_type” indicating the component type, resolution information of the entire area is defined in an 8-bit field. For example, information on the entire area of each program is described such as 480i when the value of the component type is 0x01 and 1080i when the value of the component type is 0xB1. FIG. 2 illustrates an information table defined by “component_type”. For example, in the case of 0xF3, a normal program having a resolution of 4320p and an aspect ratio of 16: 9 is defined. In the case of 0xF2, a broadcast program having a resolution of 4320p and an aspect ratio of 16: 9 and further having partial area information (hereinafter referred to as partial area information) is defined. The
Furthermore, a method for defining and reproducing partial area information with a component descriptor will be described. In the case of a broadcast program having the partial area information, the information can be defined by “text_char” of the component descriptor. For example, it is assumed that the start coordinates of the initial display area are x and y, the display area size is w and h, each is defined by 2 bytes (Byte), and these are described continuously.
FIG. 3A shows an example of an image of the entire area, and FIG. 3B shows an example of an image of a partial area that is a part of the image of FIG. The X axis in FIG. 3A is set in the horizontal direction of the screen, and the Y axis is set in the vertical direction of the screen. The entire area of this example is x = 1, y = 1, w = 7680, h = 4320. The partial area is x = 1921, y = 1081, w = 3840, h = 2160, and the aspect ratio is 16: 9. By substituting x = 0x0781, y = 0x0439, w = 0x0F00, and h = 0x0870 obtained by converting these decimal values into hexadecimal numbers, it is possible to define the partial area by setting “text_char = 078104390F000870”. Therefore, the broadcast receiving apparatus can reproduce the partial area having the start coordinate and the area size specified by acquiring the value of “text_char”.
Returning to FIG. 1, the
The
The synthesizing
The reproduction
Next, the operation of the
After the start in step S801, in step S802, the
In step S <b> 803, the
Next, the banner display processing S804 to 807 will be described. In step S804, the
In step S <b> 805, the
The
Next, a method for deriving the changed area shown in FIG. First, when a banner is displayed on the
And the process which calculates | requires the resolution conversion rate for displaying the image | video of the area | region (1) displayed before the banner display on an area | region (2) is performed. Here, the horizontal width of the region (1) is defined as w1, the vertical width is defined as h1, the horizontal width of the region (2) is defined as w2, and the vertical width is defined as h2. When displaying the image of area (1) in area (2) while maintaining the aspect ratio, the resolution of area (1) should be further changed according to the smaller of w2 / w1 or h2 / h1 I understand. Hereinafter, this change rate is denoted as R.
By the way, since the surrounding video (in this example, the video of the house) is not displayed only by changing the resolution, it is necessary for the
In S807 of FIG. 5, the
Next, banner display end processing S808 and S809 will be described. In step S808, the
In step S809, the
Next, in S810 to 815, a process when the recommended view angle is changed or the user view angle is changed before the banner is not displayed will be described. In step S <b> 810, the
In step S811, the
If it is determined in S810 that the area has been changed by the user's instruction, the process proceeds to S812, where the
If it is determined in S811 that display is not being performed at the user angle of view, the process proceeds to S813. Here, the
In this embodiment, an advanced satellite digital broadcast program has been described as an example of video content having a partial area. The application of the present invention is not limited to this, and the recommended angle of view can be determined using the above-mentioned metadata even for terrestrial digital broadcasts, CATV broadcasts, broadcasts using IP communication, and stored contents stored in Blu-ray discs. Available. In addition, the partial area information obtained using the above-described metadata is used as an example of the recommended angle of view. However, the same processing as described above can be performed using a partial area of the entire video specified by the user. .
Further, in the present embodiment, as an example of a method for deriving an area instructed to the
In the above description, an example has been given in which a banner is displayed as a second video to be combined with a first video to be displayed. However, instead of the banner, a menu (including a GUI or the like), picture, symbol Of course, the same processing can be performed even if the notification video is. The second video may be a video input from a digital television broadcast program or an external input terminal, and may be displayed simultaneously on the same screen by PinP (Picture in Picture).
As described above, even when a banner is combined with a video and displayed, the user can change the playback video area so that the banner does not overlap the important video currently displayed. You can prevent it from being overlooked. Furthermore, even if the recommended view angle or user view angle is changed during the display of a banner or the like, by changing the display being played back to the latest recommended view angle or user view angle, You can continue to watch important video.
Hereinafter, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. In the second embodiment, the configuration example of the broadcast receiving apparatus is the same as that in FIG. 1, and hereinafter, the processing of the
In the flowchart of FIG. 5 according to the first embodiment, another example of the
In S1104, similarly to the processing in S806 described in the first embodiment, the
In step S1106, the
In step S1107, the
The processing described above will be described with reference to specific examples shown in FIGS. FIG. 8A shows the entire image displayed on the
FIG. 9A shows that when the banner is displayed, the video with the recommended angle of view is not overlapped with the banner, and the area with the recommended angle of view is arranged at the lower left corner, so that the missing area of the video does not occur. Shows the derived area. The area shown in FIG. 8B has the coordinates of the lower left corner (-959,1) and the coordinates of the upper right corner (4800,3240), and the entire area has the coordinates (1 of the lower left corner as shown in FIG. 8A). , 1) and the upper right corner coordinates (7680,4320). Comparing the two, it can be seen that only the area surrounded by the coordinates (−959,1) and coordinates (0,3240) is located outside the entire area. Therefore, the region of FIG. 8B may be shifted by 960 pixels in the X-axis direction (horizontal direction), and thereby the region of FIG. 9A, which is an offset region, is obtained. That is, the region has the coordinates (1, 1) of the lower left corner and the coordinates (5760, 3240) of the upper right corner. As described above, in addition to the region deriving method described in the first embodiment, the
FIG. 9B shows an example of an image displayed on the
As described above, according to the second embodiment, in addition to the effects of the first embodiment, the maximum range of the area to be changed is within the entire area, thereby displaying an image over the entire display area of the display device. it can. As a result, it is possible to reduce the user's uncomfortable feeling with respect to the missing region of the video. Furthermore, even if the target area is changed to the entire area, if the banner overlaps the video being played back, and if the video area being played contains the recommended angle of view, at least the banner is not being overlapped with the recommended angle of view. It is desirable to change the video area. Thereby, the uncomfortable feeling during reproduction can be reduced.
As mentioned above, although preferable embodiment of this invention was described, this invention is not limited to these embodiment, A various deformation | transformation and change are possible within the range of the summary.
