把持部7には指示部材8が取り付けられており、窓孔6bの範囲の特定位置を指示する。即ち、インキの収容された本体1の重さによって、伸縮部材であるコイルスプリング5が伸び、指示部材8が窓孔6bの範囲に位置する。尚、本体1を把持したり、筆記具を静置した場合など、把持部7を把持しない状態(図3に示した状態)では、指示部材8は窓孔の範囲内に位置せず、非表示状態となる。
