Abstract
Description
本発明は、PM(Particulate Matter:粒子状物質)の捕捉及び再生が可能な、例えばDPF(Diesel Particulate Filter)等の捕捉再生手段及びEGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation:排気再循環)装置を備えた内燃機関の制御装置の技術分野に関する。 The present invention can capture and regenerate PM (Particulate Matter), for example, an internal combustion engine equipped with a capture and regeneration means such as DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) device. The present invention relates to the technical field of control devices.
As this type of apparatus, an apparatus that controls the EGR rate has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1). According to the combustion control device for an internal combustion engine disclosed in Patent Document 1 (hereinafter referred to as “prior art”), when the DPF temperature is too high, the target EGR rate is corrected to be decreased, and when the DPF temperature is too low, It is said that the DPF temperature can be appropriately adjusted by increasing and correcting the target EGR rate.
In addition, there is a technique for increasing the flow rate of the recirculated exhaust gas that bypasses the EGR cooler by correcting the valve opening of the bypass valve when the temperature of the DPF is in a predetermined activation temperature range in which the oxidation reaction of PM is activated. It is disclosed (for example, see Patent Document 2).
In addition, when the temperature raising operation for DPF regeneration is difficult, a technique for reducing the EGR amount and suppressing the increase in the PM deposition amount is also disclosed (for example, see Patent Document 3).
Furthermore, there is also disclosed a technique for determining the possibility of filter clogging based on the accumulation amount change rate and reducing the target EGR rate when the DPF temperature is too high to suppress PM discharge (for example, Patent Document 4). reference).
In addition, when the particulate collection amount reaches a predetermined level by successively estimating the particulate collection amount of the particulate collection means based on the combustion rate constant determined from the combustion model, for example, exhaust gas is recirculated to the intake passage. A technique has also been proposed in which the regeneration control of the particulate collection means is started at an appropriate timing by a regeneration means such as a means for performing the process (see, for example, Patent Document 5).
The prior art focuses on maintaining the temperature of the DPF, and the EGR amount when the temperature of the DPF is in an appropriate range is basically set regardless of the temperature of the DPF. Therefore, according to the conventional technique, in order to avoid filter clogging due to PM over-deposition caused in a low temperature region or filter melt damage due to sudden combustion of PM, the base EGR amount is reduced to a safe side, that is, a reduction amount. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain the maximum NOx reduction effect by supplying EGR gas. That is, the conventional technique has a technical problem that it is difficult to efficiently reduce the NOx emission amount in some cases.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a control device for an internal combustion engine that can efficiently and effectively reduce NOx emission.
In order to solve the above-described problem, an internal combustion engine control device according to the present invention is provided in an exhaust system, an EGR device capable of circulating a part of exhaust from an exhaust system as EGR gas to an intake system, In an internal combustion engine provided with a capture and regeneration means capable of capturing and regenerating including forced regeneration and non-forced regeneration of PM contained in the exhaust, NOx contained in the exhaust during non-forced regeneration of the PM is reduced An internal combustion engine control device for a predetermined type of condition including at least a part of the temperature of the capture and regeneration means, the trapped amount of the PM in the capture and regeneration means, and the amount of air sucked into the intake system Based on the above, the specifying means for specifying the regeneration speed related to the regeneration of the PM at the time of non-forced regeneration of the PM, and the level of the identified regeneration speed is respectively related to the magnitude of the circulation amount. Determining means for determining, according to the specified regeneration speed, a value associated with the NOx emission amount and corresponding to the circulation amount of the EGR gas during the non-forced regeneration of the PM; Control means for controlling the EGR device based on the determined value.
The “internal combustion engine” according to the present invention has one or a plurality of cylinders, and in a combustion chamber in each of the cylinders, for example, a fuel such as gasoline, light oil or various alcohols, or an explosion of an air-fuel mixture containing the fuel or This is a concept encompassing an engine configured to be able to take out the force generated by combustion as a driving force through a physical or mechanical transmission path such as a piston, a connecting rod and a crankshaft, for example, 2 Cycle or 4-cycle reciprocating engine. In particular, the internal combustion engine according to the present invention is a preferred embodiment in which gas oil (hereinafter referred to as “intake” as appropriate) is compressed (e.g., a compression end) while gas oil is used as fuel. The fuel is injected, and the fuel self-ignites in the high-temperature and high-pressure cylinder to cause combustion, or in the process where the mixture of intake air and fuel is compressed in the cylinder, self-ignition in the high-temperature and high-pressure cylinder For example, the engine is configured as a compression ignition type internal combustion engine such as a diesel engine.
The internal combustion engine according to the present invention is provided with an EGR device. This EGR device inactivates a part of exhaust from an exhaust system as a concept that can appropriately include, for example, an exhaust port, an exhaust manifold, and an exhaust pipe (including those generated on a cylinder arrangement such as a front pipe and a rear pipe). As an EGR gas containing a large amount of CO 2 , for example, an intake system as a concept that may appropriately include an intake port, an intake manifold, an intake pipe, etc., directly or indirectly, or an EGR gas circulation amount ( Hereinafter, the valve body, the valve mechanism, the valve device, the valve system, or a similar mechanism can be controlled so as to circulate in a limited manner. Qualitatively speaking, the EGR gas is mixed somewhat with the intake air (that is, fresh air) guided to the intake system via an air filter or the like to form the intake air, thereby forming the oxygen concentration in the intake air. NOx emissions (here, emissions from cylinders, but when the internal combustion engine does not have a NOx purification means in the exhaust system, it is unambiguous with emissions outside the vehicle. Is reduced).
At this time, the EGR gas circulation path from the exhaust system to the intake system may take a wide variety of configurations. For example, the EGR gas is guided through a tubular member such as an EGR passage that connects the exhaust system and the intake system. You may be. Further, for example, a cooling means such as an EGR cooler capable of cooling EGR gas may be provided in a part of the EGR passage, and further, a bypass passage that bypasses the cooling means may be provided. When the bypass passage is provided in this way, as a preferred embodiment, the EGR gas supply path is switched between the passage including the cooling means and the bypass passage in a binary, stepwise or continuous manner. Switching means that can do this may be provided. The driving force required for switching the supply path in the switching means is, for example, a physical, mechanical, mechanical, electrical, magnetic, or the like by various driving force supply means such as a hydraulic actuator, an electric actuator, or a negative pressure diaphragm. It may be supplied via a chemical or chemical process.
On the other hand, when the CO 2 in the intake air is increased by the EGR gas, the oxygen concentration in the intake air is relatively lowered and the combustibility of the fuel is reduced. Further, if a rapid temperature rise in the cylinder is suppressed to suppress NOx emission, the number of droplets that cannot be burned to the core inevitably increases. Accordingly, the fuel is likely to be in a so-called steamed state during combustion in the cylinder. For example, HC (hydrocarbon) such as SOF (Solvable Organic Fraction) adheres to the unburned solid carbon (for example, soot). The amount of particulate matter (i.e., PM) discharged (in this case, the amount discharged from the cylinder) is increased. That is, in an internal combustion engine equipped with an EGR device, the NOx emission amount and the PM emission amount are generally in a trade-off relationship. The “PM” according to the present invention is a concept encompassing particulate matter that is generated in an internal combustion engine and can be contained in exhaust gas, and its chemical composition is not uniquely limited. For example, the composition of PM can be changed as appropriate by the action of various catalysts and filters in the process of exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust pipe.
For the purpose of reducing the amount of PM generated due to such circumstances to the outside of the vehicle (hereinafter referred to as “outside vehicle emission amount” in order to distinguish it from the above-mentioned cylinder discharge amount), etc., the present invention. Such an internal combustion engine can capture and regenerate PM, for example, a DPF carrying an oxidation catalyst, or, for example, a DPF and an upstream side of the DPF (direction concept based on the flow direction of exhaust gas, in this case Further, there is provided a capture and regeneration means that can take the form of a catalyst device including an oxidation catalyst or the like disposed on the cylinder side of the internal combustion engine). The configuration of the capture and regeneration means, in particular its physical, mechanical, mechanical, electrical, magnetic or chemical configuration, whether configured as a single unit or as a complex, The purpose is not limited as long as reproduction is possible. Note that “PM regeneration” is a concept that encompasses oxidative combustion of trapped PM and regeneration of the PM trapping function associated with the trapping and regeneration means.
For example, as a preferred embodiment, the capture and regeneration means may include a so-called wall flow type DPF having honeycomb-like filters that are alternately sealed on the exhaust inlet side and the outlet side. In this case, the PM in the exhaust is blocked by a wall body that separates the plurality of exhaust passages formed in the exhaust flow direction by the honeycomb-shaped filter, so that, for example, an inlet does not go back and forth between the wall bodies. It is captured by the side or outlet side filter or the wall (preferably this is also a filter). At this time, for example, if an oxidation catalyst is supported on the filter, oxidation combustion of PM is promoted in the DPF, and PM is captured and regenerated by the DPF itself. Further, the oxidation catalyst on the upstream side of the DPF is long is disposed separately, the oxidizing power from NO in the exhaust by the oxidation catalyst is good NO 2 is generated, PM trapped in the DPF by the NO 2 ( In this case, as a preferred embodiment, the SOF in the PM is oxidized by the oxidation catalyst, and the trapped PM mainly becomes soot). Further, for example, in the operation region where the exhaust temperature or the DPF temperature exceeds the temperature at which the oxidation of PM is activated, the combustion of the PM trapped in the DPF is favorably promoted even without this type of oxidation catalyst. The In any case, due to the action of the capturing / reproducing means, the amount of PM discharged outside the vehicle is somewhat reduced compared to at least the case without the capturing / reproducing means.
Here, considering that the relationship between the NOx emission amount and the PM emission amount with respect to the EGR amount is mutually contradictory, and that the PM can be captured and regenerated by the capture regeneration unit, for example, a decrease in intake air temperature or Aside from PM emissions (if there is such a situation), such as deterioration in combustion performance (including misfires) due to reduction in oxygen concentration, etc. and reduction in power performance and drivability resulting therefrom However, the EGR amount is not necessarily irrelevant because the decrease in combustion performance may lead to an increase in PM emission amount. As a preferable form, the EGR amount is the PM emission amount or emission speed, or the PM emission amount in the capture and regeneration means. The trapping amount (may be expressed as the deposition amount depending on the trapping mode) or the trapping (deposition) speed is due to exceeding the PM regeneration capability of the trapping regeneration means. , For example, reduction of the rise and power performance associated therewith exhaust pressure, or better as possible large in range not least in practice elicit an inconvenience such as an increase in friction loss.
However, in many cases, the PM regeneration capability of the capture regeneration means is not constant during the operation period of the internal combustion engine. Therefore, if there is no way to reflect the degree of the reproduction capacity on the EGR amount, at least for the purpose of avoiding the above-mentioned problem, the safety side (that is, the emission of PM is reduced). It is necessary to provide a margin on the side to suppress and clogging is reduced. Therefore, in some cases, the EGR amount is excessively suppressed and the NOx emission amount is efficient even though the capture and regeneration means can perform the regeneration of PM to such an extent that at least practical problems do not appear. Such as not being reduced automatically. Alternatively, it is difficult for the capture and regeneration means to regenerate PM, and it is not always clear whether the EGR amount adapted in advance is optimal, and eventually NOx emissions are not efficiently reduced. Can occur.
Here, according to the control device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention, during operation, for example, various processing units such as an ECU (Electronic Control Unit), various controllers, various computer systems such as a microcomputer device, etc. The regenerating speed of PM at the time of non-forced regeneration of PM is specified by the specifying means that can take a form. The “reproduction speed” according to the present invention is, for example, a theoretical, substantial, or realistic amount of regeneration of PM per unit time, or theoretically, substantially, or practically per unit time. Quantitative index values such as the amount of reproducible PM, etc., or a qualitative degree of regeneration speed that is classified stepwise to such an extent that the determination means described below can be operated at least practically without excess or deficiency It may be. Alternatively, the specified playback speed may be replaced by another index value that correlates with the playback speed, and may be specified indirectly.
In the present invention, “specify” means to acquire the physical quantity or physical state correlating with the specific target itself or the specific target directly or indirectly through some detection means, for example, as an electric signal or physical change. Or detecting, selecting a corresponding value from a map or the like stored in advance in an appropriate storage means, based on a physical quantity or physical state that is directly or indirectly acquired or detected and correlates with a specific target And a broad concept encompassing derivation or estimation from a physical quantity or physical state correlated with a specific object, obtained or detected or selected, according to a preset algorithm or calculation formula, and the like. Accordingly, the specifying unit may specify the playback speed by obtaining an electrical signal corresponding to the playback speed from a detection unit such as a sensor that can detect the playback speed of PM, for example, and specify the playback speed. For example, the temperature of the capturing / reproducing means is acquired from the appropriate detecting means, and the reproduction speed is obtained as a result of numerical operation or logical operation according to a preset algorithm or by selecting an appropriate value from a map. You may specify. The same applies to the above-described other index values that can replace the reproduction speed.
When the regeneration speed of the PM is specified, for example , non-forced regeneration of the PM according to the specified regeneration speed by a determining means that can take the form of various processing units such as an ECU, various controllers or various computer systems such as a microcomputer device, etc. A value corresponding to the circulation amount of the EGR gas at that time (hereinafter abbreviated as “corresponding value” as appropriate) is determined. When the corresponding value is determined, the EGR device is controlled on the basis of the corresponding value by a control unit that can take various processing units such as an ECU, various controllers, various computer systems such as a microcomputer device, or the like.
Here, the “value corresponding to the circulation amount of the EGR gas (that is, the corresponding value)” is, for example, the circulation amount of the EGR gas itself, or the EGR rate (as a preferred form, the amount of intake air or the amount of intake air). EGR gas ratio). Further, “determined according to the playback speed” is a concept encompassing that the value is determined based on some correspondence set between the playback speed and the corresponding value. As one form, for example, it is determined according to a correspondence relationship (one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-one, or many-to-many relationship) between a reproduction speed mapped in advance and a corresponding value, or set in advance It is intended to include derivation as a result of a numerical operation or a logical operation based on an algorithm, a numerical operation expression, or a logical operation expression. In this case, the correspondence relationship, the algorithm, the numerical operation expression, or the logical operation expression is inconvenient due to an excessive increase in PM (for example, experimentally, empirically, theoretically, or based on simulation). NOx emissions are suppressed as much as possible within a range that does not manifest in practice such as an increase in exhaust pressure, an increase in pressure loss, an increase in friction loss, and a decrease in power performance due to a decrease in the PM capture function in the capture and regeneration means. It may be determined to obtain.
Thus, according to the control device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention, the EGR amount can be determined according to the PM regeneration speed in the capture regeneration means. Therefore, for example, a large amount of EGR gas can be circulated as much as possible in a situation where PM can be sufficiently regenerated by the capture and regeneration means. Further, for example, in a situation where the regeneration of PM is difficult to proceed, it is possible to prevent, for example, PM clogging and overdeposition, and the occurrence of defects due to the clogging. In other words, even if the EGR amount is determined only in accordance with the PM regeneration speed, or finally determined in consideration of other indicators, at least the PM regeneration ability is not considered. The margin on the safety side is unnecessary or substantially or practically minimal, and the EGR amount that can directly lead to the reduction of the NOx emission amount can be controlled more finely. That is, according to the control apparatus for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention, the NOx emission amount can be efficiently and effectively reduced.
In the control apparatus for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention, the temperature of the capture and regeneration means that can regulate the regeneration speed of PM, such as the DPF floor temperature or the exhaust temperature of any section including the capture and regeneration means in the exhaust system, for example, Of the trapped amount of PM trapped by the regeneration means (which may be referred to as a deposit amount as described above) and the amount of air sucked into the intake system (that is, the amount of fresh air mixed with the EGR gas). The regeneration speed of PM is specified based on conditions including at least a part of them. As long as the temperature of the capture and regeneration means is not high enough to cause a physical or chemical malfunction in the capture and regeneration means, the PM regeneration rate can preferably be increased in accordance with the increase. Moreover, when there is too much accumulation amount of PM, the contact between PM and oxygen tends to be hindered, and the PM regeneration rate tends to decrease. In addition, since the intake air amount correlates with the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas, the PM regeneration speed can be suitably defined. Thus, each of these index values are highly correlated with the playback speed of the PM, it is possible to specify the playback speed of P M with high accuracy.
Further, in the control device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention, the corresponding value is determined so that the level of the specified regeneration speed corresponds to the magnitude of the EGR amount. The EGR device is controlled based on the determined corresponding value. Therefore, as a preferred embodiment, the EGR amount is stepwise or continuously as the regeneration speed is higher in at least a part of the range of the regeneration speed of the PM (that is, the entire region or a partial region), or It can be increased linearly or curvilinearly, and it is possible to effectively and effectively reduce the NOx emission amount while suppressing the control load, which is useful in practice.

The engine 200 is an in-line four-cylinder diesel engine that is an example of an “internal combustion engine” according to the present invention that uses light oil as fuel. The outline of the engine 200 will be described. The engine 200 has a configuration in which four

The engine 200 is a diesel engine, and its output is controlled through injection amount increase / decrease control, unlike air-fuel ratio control (control according to the intake air amount) in an engine using gasoline or the like as fuel. Therefore, the

Although not described in detail, the fuel is stored in a fuel tank (not shown). The fuel stored in the fuel tank is pumped out of the fuel tank by the action of a feed pump (not shown), and can take various known modes via a low-pressure pipe (not shown) and is pumped to a high-pressure pump (not shown). It has a configuration. This high-pressure pump is configured to be able to supply fuel to the

Here, to supplement the configuration of the
On the other hand, the nozzle has a built-in needle for opening and closing the nozzle hole, and the fuel pressure in the pressure chamber urges the needle in the valve closing direction (direction in which the nozzle hole is closed). Accordingly, when the pressure chamber and the low-pressure passage are connected by energization of the solenoid valve and the fuel pressure in the pressure chamber decreases, the needle rises in the nozzle and opens (opens the nozzle hole), thereby causing the

<Operation of Embodiment>
In the engine system 10, EGR gas is circulated and supplied to the
In the
As described above, the
On the other hand, the function of the
On the other hand, the oxidation reaction of NO by the
However, if such a forced regeneration of PM is performed in a situation where PM is excessively accumulated, rapid and intense combustion of the accumulated PM is caused, and the ceramic carrier of the
In FIG. 2, the
On the other hand, if the execution condition is EGR (step S101: YES), the DPF floor temperature Tdpf, which is the temperature of the
Once the DPF bed temperature Tdpf has been estimated, PM regeneration speed calculation data is acquired (step S103). The PM regeneration speed calculation data is data used for calculating the PM regeneration speed Rpm (that is, an example of the “regeneration speed” according to the present invention) that can define the scale and degree of PM regeneration in the
Here, the PM accumulation amount is estimated based on the exhaust differential pressure detected by the
When the PM regeneration speed calculation data is acquired, the PM regeneration speed is calculated (step S104). Here, the PM regeneration speed Rpm according to the present embodiment is an estimated value of the PM regeneration amount per unit time. However, the PM regeneration amount per unit time is an index that regulates the amount of PM that can be regenerated per unit time, that is, the PM regeneration capability, and does not necessarily match the actual regeneration amount of PM. This is because if the amount of PM trapped and deposited in the
Here, the relationship between the DPF bed temperature Tdpf and the PM regeneration speed Rpm will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram showing characteristics of the PM regeneration speed Rpm with respect to the DPF floor temperature Tdpf.
図示する通り、例えばTdpf1、Tdpf2(Tdpf2>Tdpf1)、及びTdpf3(Tdpf3>Tdpf2)の三種類のDPF床温に対し、PM再生速度Rpmは夫々Rpm1、Rpm2(Rpm2>Rpm1)、及びRpm3(Rpm3>Rpm2)と変化し、PM再生速度Rpmは、DPF床温Tdpmの増加に対し増加する関数となる。 In FIG. 3, the change characteristic of the PM regeneration speed Rpm with respect to the DPF bed temperature Tdpf is expressed as illustrated PRF_Rpm (see solid line). As shown in the figure, for example, for three types of DPF bed temperatures of Tdpf1, Tdpf2 (Tdpf2> Tdpf1), and Tdpf3 (Tdpf3> Tdpf2), the PM regeneration rate Rpm is Rpm1, Rpm2 (Rpm2> Rpm1), and Rpm3R (pm3), respectively. > Rpm2), and the PM regeneration rate Rpm is a function that increases with an increase in the DPF bed temperature Tdpm.
However, the illustrated characteristics are characteristics when the intake air amount and the PM accumulation amount are constant, and the actual PM regeneration speed Rpm varies from the illustrated characteristics depending on the intake air amount and the PM accumulation amount. For example, if the amount of intake air is large, the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas becomes high, so that PM combustion is promoted. That is, the PM regeneration speed Rpm can be increased. In addition, if the amount of accumulated PM is large, the area where PM comes into contact with oxygen decreases, so that PM combustion is inhibited. Therefore, the PM regeneration speed Rpm can be reduced. In the present embodiment, the
When the PM regeneration speed Rpm is calculated, the
In FIG. 4, the target EGR rate Regrt has a characteristic shown as PRF_Regrt (see solid line) in the figure with respect to the PM regeneration speed Rpm. That is, in the region where the PM regeneration rate Rpm is less than RpmLL, the target EGR rate Regrt is maintained at the lower limit value RegrtLL, and in the region where the PM regeneration rate Rpm is greater than or equal to RpmUL (RpmUL> RpmLL), the target EGR rate Regrt RegrtUL (RegrtUL> RegrtLL) is maintained. In the region where the PM regeneration speed Rpm is equal to or higher than RpmLL and less than RpmUL, the target EGR rate Regrt increases linearly with respect to the PM regeneration speed Rpm.
Here, the lower limit value RegrtLL is an EGR rate indicating that the PM emission amount due to the introduction of the EGR gas does not at least practically affect the PM accumulation in the
As described above, according to the engine system 10 according to the present embodiment, the PM regeneration that prescribes the PM regeneration capability in the
Here, in particular, when no correspondence relationship between the PM regeneration capacity and the EGR gas circulation amount in the
