Description

The present invention relates to an improvement of a banknote handling apparatus equipped in a banknote handling apparatus such as various vending machines, deposit / withdrawal apparatuses, and money changers having a function of depositing banknotes. The present invention relates to a technique capable of effectively preventing occurrence of a collision with a succeeding banknote and occurrence of a paper jam by preventing a bulge upward in the width direction from being formed on the banknote.

Banknote handling devices such as various vending machines, deposit / withdrawal machines, money changers, and intermediaries used in pachinko / slot machine amusement halls determine the authenticity of deposited banknotes and store them in banknote storage. A bill processing device is provided for performing processing such as.
For example, in the inter-unit medal lending machine for the slot machine, a banknote processing device provided with a banknote storage and a medal storage are closely arranged in a vertical relationship. In addition, the vertical, horizontal, and depth dimensions of the inter-unit medal lending machine arranged in a narrow space between the slot machines are prescribed. For this reason, if the capacity | capacitance of a banknote storage is enlarged, the capacity | capacitance in a medal storage will reduce, the frequency | count of replenishing a medal during business hours will increase, and an employee's labor will increase. For this reason, it is required to make the capacity of the medal storage as large as possible while reducing the capacity of the banknote storage as much as possible. On the other hand, since it is sufficient to carry out the work of collecting the banknotes from the banknote storage at the time of closing, it is sufficient that the banknote storage has a capacity of about 100 sheets, and the banknote processing apparatus can be reduced in height. It is.

9 (a) and 9 (b) are front views showing a schematic configuration of the storage mechanism equipped in the banknote storage, and above the banknote stack (backup plate) 101 urged upward by the spring 100. A pair of left and right guide pieces 102 are provided, and a pusher 103 is disposed in the space between the two guide pieces 102 so as to be movable up and down. The banknote S1 transported from a transport path (not shown) is introduced into the storage along the upper surfaces of the two guide pieces 102, temporarily stops, and the pusher 103 descends toward the upper surface of the stopped banknote S1 to remove the banknotes. The sheet is pushed down beyond the guide piece 102 and transferred onto the loading table 101. The accumulated banknote S2 including the banknote S1 transferred on the loading table is held between the lower surfaces of both guide pieces 102 and the loading table upper surface as shown in FIG.
There is no problem when the upper surface of the banknote bundle S2 on the stacking table is maintained flat as shown in FIG. 9A, but it swells upward at the center in the width direction of the banknote bundle S2 as shown in FIG. 9B. When the basket to be taken out is formed, the leading edge of the succeeding banknote S1 entering the both guide pieces 102 from the transport path collides with the trailing edge bulging part of the accumulated banknote bundle S2, causing a paper jam. It becomes easy.
As a countermeasure against this, for example, it is possible to increase the height of the guide piece 102 so that the bulging portion of the accumulated banknote bundle S2 does not interfere with the banknote S1 introduced on the upper surface of the guide piece. An increase in the height dimension of the guide piece causes an increase in the height of the banknote handling apparatus, and therefore there is a problem that it is contrary to a reduction in height and size. Furthermore, if the height dimension of the guide piece is increased, the movement distance when pushed by the pusher 103 is increased, so that the mechanism for driving the pusher is enlarged.

Further, as shown in FIG. 10 (a), if the distance between the guide pieces is reduced without increasing the height dimension (thickness) of the guide pieces 102, the banknote bundle S2 on the stacking base is bulged upward. It becomes possible to suppress. However, in order to completely transfer the succeeding banknote S1 onto the stacking base 101 when the distance between the guide pieces is reduced, the pushing distance of the banknote S1 by the pusher 03 is increased as shown in (b) and (c). This also causes an increase in the height of the apparatus.
As a measure for preventing a collision with a succeeding banknote due to the bulging of the central part in the width direction of the banknote on the loading table, Patent Document 1 includes protrusions along both edges in the width direction and is elastically biased in one direction. By pressing and holding the holding plate (loading table), two guide pieces facing each protrusion and holding both edges in the width direction of the banknote bundle between the protrusions, and the space between the guide pieces There is disclosed a banknote handling apparatus including a pusher for transferring a banknote introduced to the other side (banknote introduction path) of a guide piece to a holding plate side. The intermediate portion in the width direction of the banknote bundle, which is held between the protrusions and the guide pieces by the recesses formed between the protrusions protruding at both edges in the width direction of the press plate, is held by the press plate. Since it can bulge to the side, it is possible to halve the amount of bulging to the guide piece side of the central portion of the accumulated banknote bundle and avoid collision with subsequent banknotes.
However, this banknote processing device can be expected to have a sufficient effect when the number of banknotes in the storage is small, but the central part of the banknote bundle is prevented from indirectly expanding into the banknote introduction path due to the shape of the presser plate. Therefore, the effect of preventing the banknotes from bulging is diminished if the presser plate is separated from the banknote introduction path as the number of stacked banknotes increases.

Next, Patent Document 2 discloses that both ends in the longitudinal direction of the banknote bundle on the stacking surface are retracted to the side opposite to the banknote introduction path side by bending both ends in the longitudinal direction of the banknote stacking table to the side opposite to the banknote stacking surface. However, even in this conventional example, a bulging portion provided at the end of the stacking base indirectly bulges the bill bundle central portion toward the introduction path side. Since the banknotes are merely prevented from coming out, the effect of preventing the banknotes from bulging is diminished if the stacking base is separated from the banknote introduction path as the number of banknotes stacked increases.
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 04-148761 Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 08-221640

As described above, it has been difficult to effectively prevent a collision between an already-stored banknote bundle and a subsequent banknote while reducing the height of the banknote processing apparatus.
The present invention has been made in view of the above, and can effectively prevent a collision with a subsequent banknote by suppressing the bulge of the banknote bundle already stored without increasing the height dimension of the banknote processing apparatus. An object of the present invention is to provide a banknote handling apparatus and a banknote handling apparatus.

As shown in FIGS. 2 (a) and 2 (b), each guide piece 30 has a structure that protrudes a predetermined length from the opposing inner wall of the banknote storage 20, and each belt 42 is placed on each guide piece pair 30. A banknote can be hold | maintained by supporting the lower surface of the width direction (short direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of a banknote) both ends edge of banknote S1 conveyed from the inversion conveyance path 5. FIG.
The pusher 35 is a plate member configured to move up and down in a space formed between the pair of opposing guide pieces 30. In this example, the pusher 35 is operated by a motor (not shown) by operating a pantograph type lifting mechanism 36. It is possible to advance and retreat between the ascending position (retracted position) shown in (b) and the descending position (pressed position) shown in FIG. When the bill S1 is stopped on the guide piece pair 30 as shown in FIG. 2B, the pusher 35 is lowered by operating the lifting mechanism 36 as shown in FIG. 3B, so that the pusher 35 becomes the width of the bill S1. Press down on the upper surface of the center of the direction. When the pusher 35 moves downward beyond the pair of guide pieces 30, both edges in the width direction of the bill are deformed and detached from the upper surface of the pair of guide pieces 30 and moved downward through the space, and both ends in the width direction of the bill S1. The edge completely leaves the guide piece pair 30. In the process of lowering the pusher 35, the central portion of the bill S 1 that is in contact with the lower surface of the pusher 35 comes into contact with the upper surface of the already loaded bill S 2 on the loading table 21 that is biased upward by the elastic member 22. When the loading table 21 is pressed downward against the above and the distance between the edges in the width direction of the banknote S1 completely falls away from the pair of guide pieces 30, the pusher stops moving down and is transferred onto the loading table. To complete. After the pusher is further lowered from the state shown in FIG. 3B and both edges of the bill S1 are separated from the guide piece pair 30 to complete the transfer onto the loading table 21, the pusher is moved as shown in FIG. It waits until it returns to a raise position and the bill conveyed next reaches the predetermined position on the guide piece pair 30, and stops.

Next, at least one inner wall 25 of the storage 20 is equipped with a banknote detection means 50 that detects the presence or absence of banknotes on the stacking base 21 in the raised position.
The bill detecting means 50 is provided with a substantially rectangular lever body 52 pivotally supported by a pivotal support 26 provided on the inner wall 25 so that the upper right part thereof can be moved up and down, and is protruded in an L shape from the lower side of the lever body 52. 21, two operating pieces 53, 54 facing the upper surface, and a rotating lever 51 provided with a light shielding piece 55 provided at an appropriate position of the lever main body (upper right part in this example) above each operating piece, At least one banknote is stacked on the stacking base 21 and an elastic member (not shown) that always elastically biases the rotating lever 51 downward so that 54 is in contact with the upper surface of the banknote on the stacking base in the raised position. Thus, a photo interrupter (optical sensor) 61 is provided so as to detect the light shielding piece 55 when the action piece is pushed upward by the thickness of the bill.
An avoidance hole (not shown) is formed through the edge of the loading table 21 at a position corresponding to the bent tip of each action piece 53, 54. As shown in FIGS. When the loading table 21 is in the raised position in the absence of the rotation lever 51, the rotation lever 51 is not pushed up by the loading table 21 by fitting the tip portions of the action pieces 53 and 54 into the avoidance holes. ing. For this reason, in this state, the light shielding piece 55 does not shield the photointerrupter 61, and it is detected that there is no bill.

Next, as shown in FIG. 4, when the banknote S is on the stacking base 21, the action pieces 53 and 54 come into contact with the upper surface of the banknote S and the rotation lever 51 is pushed upward. 55 shields the light from the photo interrupter 61 and the presence of a bill is detected.
By the way, there are many cases where 100 or more machines are installed in one store such as slot machines. In the operation of collecting banknotes stored in the banknote storage of the intermediary machine after closing the amusement hall, unlock the opening / closing door of the storage, open the opening / closing door, and leave the banknotes inside the storage Since it is necessary to confirm the presence or absence of money, this confirmation work required a lot of labor and time, and the bill collection efficiency was poor. According to the banknote processing apparatus of the present invention, since the banknote detection means 50 is provided, the presence or absence of banknotes can be confirmed from the outside without opening the door of the storage.
Next, a characteristic configuration of the present invention is provided with a convex curved surface (convex surface) 21 </ b> A that bulges upward generally along the bill conveyance direction on the upper surface of the stacking table 21, and on the lower surface of each guide piece 30. A concave curved surface (concave surface) 30 </ b> A that is generally recessed upward along the bill conveyance direction is provided. The curvatures of the convex curved surface 21A and the concave curved surface 30A are set substantially equal.

6 (a) and 6 (b) are schematic diagrams showing the difference between a configuration using a conventional loading table having a flat upper surface of the loading table and a configuration using the loading table of the present invention. In the conventional configuration, the upper surface of the loading table 21 and the lower surface of the guide piece 30 are both flat. On the other hand, in the configuration of the present invention shown in (b), the upper surface of the loading table 21 is a convex curved surface 21A, and the lower surface of each guide piece 30 is a concave curved surface 30A. The banknotes stacked on the convex curved surface 21A on the loading table 21 are held in a posture in which both sides are curved downward with the central portion in the longitudinal direction as the apex, following the shape of the convex curved surface. Even if it is a bill, it is pressed and held in a curved shape that follows the shape of the convex curved surface 21A and the concave curved surface 30A by being pinched between the guide pieces 30. For this reason, when the width direction both ends edge of the banknote bundle loaded on the stacking base 21 is pressed between each guide piece 30, it can be curved upward along the longitudinal direction of the banknote, and as a result, the width It is possible to make it difficult to generate an upward curve (bulge) in the direction.
That is, when the banknote S is bent upward in the longitudinal direction as shown in FIG. 7, the upward bending in the width direction as shown by a broken line in the drawing is less likely to occur. Therefore, it is possible to prevent a paper jam due to a collision with a subsequent banknote resulting from the upward bulging of the banknote bundle on the stacking table.
In the prior art shown in Patent Documents 1 and 2, when the number of banknotes in the storage is small, it can be expected to prevent the banknotes from expanding, but the effect of pressing down the banknotes decreases as the number of stored banknotes increases. There was a tendency to. For this reason, there is a possibility that the central part of the banknote bundle cannot be prevented from bulging out toward the introduction path side of the succeeding banknote formed on the guide piece.

On the other hand, in the present invention, the stacked banknote bundle on the stacking base is directly curved along the longitudinal direction with the guide piece 30 to prevent upward bulging. Regardless of the size, it is possible to always prevent the stacked banknotes from bulging toward the introduction path side of the subsequent banknotes and causing a collision to cause a paper jam.
In addition, since the rear edge of the banknote bundle stacked on the stacking base 21 is inclined downward, the subsequent banknote leading end portion entering the introduction path of the subsequent banknote formed on the upper surface of the guide piece pair 30; Interference can be effectively prevented, and the occurrence of paper jams can be prevented.
In the above embodiment, the convex curved surface (convex surface) 21A and the concave curved surface (concave surface) 30A have a bilaterally symmetric shape with the longitudinal center of the loading table 21 and the guide piece pair 30 as the uppermost surface (top). Yes, this is just an example. For example, if the uppermost surface of each curved surface is positioned at a position displaced upstream from the central portion in the banknote conveyance direction, bulging of the upstream edge of the stacked banknote bundle is intensively prevented and corrected. It becomes possible to do.
Further, the convex curved surface 21A and the concave curved surface 30A do not need to be formed over the entire length in the longitudinal direction of the loading table 21 and the guide piece pair 30, and may be provided only on the upstream side of the central portion in the longitudinal direction, for example. Good. That is, the convex curved surface and the concave curved surface are formed on at least a part of the total length in the longitudinal direction of the stacking base and the guide piece pair, so that the trailing edge of the stacked banknotes (bundle) faces upward. What is necessary is just to be comprised so that it can prevent bulging (to the introduction path side of a succeeding banknote).

Next, FIGS. 8A, 8 </ b> B, and 8 </ b> C are diagrams illustrating the advantages of the present invention shown in the above embodiment in relation to the banknote detection means 50 and the pusher 35.
FIG. 8A is a diagram showing a process in which the pusher 35 is lowered and pushed onto the stacking table 21 having the stacked banknote bundles S2 stacked on the upper surface, and the lower surface of the guide piece pair 30 because the pusher has pressed the stacking table. When the banknote bundle is separated from the operation piece 53, the action piece 53 of the rotation lever 51 protrudes from the lower surface of the guide piece pair 30.
In order for the pusher 35 to transfer the succeeding banknote S1 on the guide piece pair 30 onto the stacking table 21, the pusher needs to descend to a position beyond the action piece 53 protruding from the lower surface of the guide piece pair 30. . That is, in order to push the succeeding banknote S1 by the pusher and transfer it onto the stacking table, the both end portions in the width direction of the succeeding banknote S1 not only exceed the lower end surface of the pair of guide pieces 30, but are pushed in until they pass the action piece 53. There is a need. For this reason, the shorter the distance from the upper surface of the guide piece pair 30 to the tip of the action piece 53, the shorter the moving distance required to push the pusher, which is advantageous in reducing the overall height of the storage case.

When detecting the presence / absence of banknotes on the loading table 21 by the rotation lever 51 as in the embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 8C, the convex curved surface (convex surface) 21A and the concave curved surface (concave surface) 30A. When the stacked banknote bundle S2 is bent upward in the longitudinal direction by the cooperation with, the action piece 53 of the rotation lever 51 is not in contact with the upper surface of the stacked banknote bundle because the stacking base 21 is pushed downward. There is a merit that the downward projecting length of the hour becomes shorter, and the push-in table push-in distance by the pusher 35 becomes shorter.
That is, as shown in FIG. 8B, when the height dimension of the conventional guide piece 30 having a flat bottom surface is A, the action piece 53 is moved by the top face of the stacked banknote bundle S2 on the stacking base 21 in the raised position. Since it is pushed up, the tip of the action piece 53 is at the same level as the lower surface of the guide piece 30 (position A from the upper surface of the guide piece). On the other hand, when the loading table 21 is pushed downward by the pusher 35 and the action piece 53 is separated from the upper surface of the stacked banknote bundle S2, the tip of the action piece protrudes to the B position by the biasing of an elastic member (not shown). Is in a state.

Next, as shown in FIG. 8 (c), the guide piece 30 of the present invention having the concave curved surface 30A on the lower surface is thin at the center, so that the loading base 21 is in the raised position and the operating piece of the rotating lever 51 is operated. When 53 is in contact with the center of the upper surface of the stacked banknote bundle S <b> 2 bulging upward, the tip of the action piece 53 is at the same level as the lower surface of the thin portion of the guide piece 30. On the other hand, when the loading table 21 is pushed downward by the pusher 35 and the action piece 53 is separated from the upper surface of the stacked banknote bundle S, the tip of the action piece is positioned at the C position (guide piece) by the urging of an elastic member (not shown). 30 in a state protruding from the upper surface to a position of distance C).
8B is a protruding position of the action piece 53 and C is a protruding position of the action piece 53 in FIG. 8C because the central portion of the guide piece 30 of the present invention is thin. Since the dimension from the bottom surface to the bottom surface is shorter than A and the protruding amount of the action piece 53 of the rotating lever 51 is the same, the relationship B> C is satisfied. It is clear that the push-down distance of 35 is shortened.
The attachment position of the action piece 53 on the concave curved surface 30A is preferably the uppermost surface (top) of the concave curved surface.
Note that the convex curved surface 21A and the concave curved surface 30A do not need to be curved surfaces in a strict sense, but in the width direction as a result of curving bills (bundles) stacked on the stacking table in the longitudinal direction. As long as it is a shape that makes it possible to prevent bulging, a continuous body of a plurality of planes, that is, a bent surface may be used.

As described above, according to the present invention, the stacked banknotes are pressed along the longitudinal direction by sandwiching the stacked banknotes S2 between the convex surface 21A provided on the top surface of the stacking base 21 and the concave surface 30A provided on the bottom surface of the guide piece 30. By positively bending or bending upward, bulging in the width direction can be eliminated. For this reason, generation | occurrence | production of the paper jam by the collision with a subsequent banknote and a stack | payment banknote rear-end part can be prevented. Moreover, it is not necessary to increase the height dimension of the bill storage, such as increasing the thickness of the guide piece, and the entire bill processing apparatus can be made compact and low-profile.
In addition, the purpose of the presence of the convex surface 21A and the concave surface 30A is to prevent the intermediate portion of the stacked banknote S2 from bulging out toward the guide piece 30 side, so that the convex surface and the concave surface are the upper surface of the stacking base and the lower surface of the guide piece. Of these, it may be provided at a site where the effect of preventing bulging can be exhibited most.
Moreover, when the rotation lever which comprises the banknote detection means which detects the presence or absence of the banknote on a mounting base is comprised so that it may protrude from the lower surface (concave surface) of a guide piece, the height dimension of the whole apparatus is reduced. It becomes possible. Accordingly, when the banknote handling apparatus of the present invention is applied to an inter-unit medal lending machine for a slot machine, the height dimension of the banknote handling apparatus can be reduced, and accordingly, the inter-medal medal lending machine can be reduced accordingly. The number of medals that can be accommodated can be increased by increasing the capacity of the medal storages juxtaposed to each other. For this reason, it becomes possible to reduce the frequency | count that the employee of a game hall replenishes a medal.
The banknote handling apparatus 1 of the present invention can be applied to banknote handling apparatuses such as various vending machines, deposit / withdrawal apparatuses, currency exchange machines, or inter-machines used in game machines such as slot machines and pachinko machines.
