Description
The present invention is a cleaning apparatus for removing deposits on the surface of the surface moving member, and a copying machine provided with this printer is relates to an image forming equipment such as a facsimile.
As this type of image forming apparatus, various types such as an electrophotographic type and an inkjet type are known, and many include a surface moving member. For example, in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, a latent image carrier (image carrier) such as a photosensitive drum, an intermediate transfer body (image carrier) such as an intermediate transfer belt, a recording material conveyance member such as a paper conveyance belt, etc. The one provided with the surface moving member is known. Inkjet image forming apparatuses are known that include a surface moving member such as a recording material conveying member such as a paper conveying belt. In general, if an unnecessary deposit adheres to the surface of such a surface moving member, various problems are caused. Therefore, a cleaning means for removing the deposit from the surface of the surface moving member is required. As this cleaning means, the structure is simple and the removal performance of the adhering matter is excellent. Therefore, a long cleaning blade made of a plate-like elastic member such as polyurethane rubber is pressed against the surface of the surface moving member. A blade type that removes water is widely used.
As a blade-type cleaning device, one using a trailing method (such as Patent Document 1) and one employing a counter method (such as Patent Document 2) are known. In this specification, the “trailing method” is a method of a contact portion on the surface of the surface moving member on which the support portion of the holding member for holding the cleaning blade with respect to the apparatus main body abuts the contact side of the cleaning blade. The surface moving member is located on the upstream side of the surface moving direction with respect to the line. In addition, the “counter method” means that the support portion of the holding member that holds the cleaning blade with respect to the apparatus main body is closer to the surface than the normal of the contact portion on the surface of the surface moving member that the contact side of the cleaning blade contacts It shall mean what is located downstream in the moving direction of the moving member surface.
In general, the counter method has an advantage of higher removal performance than the trailing method because the contact pressure can be increased as compared with the trailing method.
More specifically, in the case of the trailing method, when the cleaning blade is pressed with a large force to increase the contact pressure, the cleaning blade is greatly warped, and the surface moving member is moved upstream in the surface movement direction with respect to the contact side of the cleaning blade. An anti-abnormal phenomenon occurs in which the upstream side surface of the cleaning blade located on the side contacts the surface of the surface moving member. When the stomach contact phenomenon occurs, the contact area between the cleaning blade and the surface moving member surface increases abruptly. Therefore, even if the surface moving member is pressed with a large force, the contact pressure is reduced and the removal performance is lowered. It will be. On the other hand, in the case of the counter method, even if the cleaning blade is pressed with a large force to increase the contact pressure, the frictional force works against the warping of the cleaning blade, and therefore the warping of the cleaning blade is small. For this reason, even when the cleaning blade is pressed with a large force, the anti-abdomen phenomenon hardly occurs, and a large pressing force can be applied to a small contact area. Therefore, a high contact pressure can be realized and high removal performance can be obtained.
Therefore, when high removal performance is required, a counter type cleaning device is adopted. In particular, in recent electrophotographic image forming apparatuses, a toner having a small particle diameter and a spherical shape, particularly a polymerized toner, is often used, and high removal performance is required to remove such toner. . For this reason, the trailing cleaning device has insufficient removal performance, and a counter cleaning device is often employed.
However, in the conventional counter type cleaning apparatus, if the cleaning blade is excessively pressed to increase the contact pressure in order to obtain a high removal performance, the following problems occur. That is, even if it is a counter type cleaning device, if the cleaning blade is pressed too much with a large force, warping of the cleaning blade, deformation of the cleaning blade itself, and the like increase. As the warp or deformation of the cleaning blade increases in this way, the contact area between the cleaning blade and the surface moving member surface increases, and even if the cleaning blade is pressed against the surface moving member with a large force, the contact pressure is reversed. As a result, the removal performance is degraded.
In the cleaning device described in Patent Document 3, the cleaning blade is moved via a warp regulating member that regulates the warping of the cleaning blade that occurs when a cleaning blade that is long in the width direction of the surface moving member is pressed against the surface of the surface moving member. It is held by a blade holder. Thereby, the warpage of the cleaning blade is restricted, and the contact area between the cleaning blade and the surface moving member surface can be reduced as compared with the case where the cleaning blade is not restricted. That is, in the counter system in which the warping of the cleaning blade is not regulated, the cleaning blade is warped and the cleaning blade itself is deformed by pressing the contact side of the cleaning blade against the surface of the surface moving member. The contact area increases as the warp of the cleaning blade increases, and increases as the deformation of the cleaning blade itself increases. In the cleaning device described in Patent Document 3, since the warpage of the cleaning blade is regulated by the warpage regulating member, the contact area is mainly determined only by the deformation of the cleaning blade itself. Therefore, in the cleaning device described in Patent Document 3, the contact area when the cleaning blade is pressed with the same amount of force is reduced as compared with the conventional counter method in which the warping of the cleaning blade is not regulated. Can do. Therefore, in the cleaning device described in Patent Document 3, the contact pressure when the cleaning blade is pressed with the same magnitude of force is increased and the removal performance is improved as compared with the counter method in which the warping of the cleaning blade is not regulated. Can be made.
Further, in the cleaning device described in Patent Document 3, the cleaning blade is held by a holding member that is long in the width direction of the surface moving member, and both ends in the long direction of the holding member are pivotally supported with respect to the apparatus main body. Yes. In such a configuration, when the surface of the surface moving member that comes into contact with the cleaning blade moves, the holding member receives a force from the surface moving member via the cleaning blade, and the central portion is located at both ends of the holding member in the longitudinal direction. May be bent into a concave state. When the holding member bends in this way, the cleaning blade held by the holding member also bends with the center portion recessed relative to both ends in the longitudinal direction of the cleaning blade. When this bending occurs in the cleaning blade, the amount of biting in the central portion of the cleaning blade in the longitudinal direction with respect to the surface moving member becomes smaller than the amount of biting in both ends in the lengthwise direction. Is smaller than the contact pressure at both ends in the longitudinal direction. Therefore, there arises a problem that the cleaning blade cannot sufficiently clean the central portion in the longitudinal direction on the surface moving member.
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and its purpose is to obtain a high removal performance and the length of the plate-like elastic member on the surface moving member by the plate-like elastic member during surface movement of the surface moving member. a cleaning device which can suppress the cleanability decrease in longitudinal direction central portion, and is to provide an image forming equipment including the same.

In order to achieve the above object, the invention of claim 1 is directed to a long plate-like elastic member, a holding member for holding the plate-like elastic member, and one side extending in the longitudinal direction of the plate-like elastic member. A warpage restricting member for restraining warpage of the plate-like elastic member caused by pressing the plate-like elastic member against the surface of the surface-moving member so as to be orthogonal to the surface movement direction of the moving member, and the holding member includes the warpage In the cleaning device that holds the plate-like elastic member via the restricting member, the central portion projects in the longitudinal direction of the plate-like elastic member on one side to the surface moving member side and the surface moving member moving direction upstream side from both ends. It is configured as described above.
Further, the invention of claim 2 is the cleaning device of claim 1, wherein the holding member has a shape in which the central portion protrudes toward the surface moving member side from both ends in the longitudinal direction of the plate-like elastic member. It is what.
Further, the invention of claim 3 is the cleaning device according to claim 1, wherein the plate-like elastic member has a shape in which the central portion protrudes toward the surface moving member side from both ends in the longitudinal direction of the plate-like elastic member. It is characterized by.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the cleaning device according to the first, second, or third aspect , the plate-like elastic member is upstream of the surface moving member in the surface moving direction of two surfaces adjacent to the one side. The upstream side surface located on the side has a longer length in the direction perpendicular to the one side than the downstream side surface located on the downstream side in the surface movement direction of the surface moving member. The plate-like elastic member is restrained from warping such that the upstream side surface extends in a direction orthogonal to the one side and the opposing surface of the upstream side surface shrinks. It is fixed to the opposing surface of the upstream side surface.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the cleaning device according to the first, second, third, or fourth aspect , the holding member is a method of a contact portion where one side of the plate-like elastic member abuts on the surface of the surface moving member. A cleaning device that is supported with respect to the apparatus main body on the downstream side of the surface moving direction of the surface moving member from the line.
The invention according to claim 6 is the cleaning device according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 , wherein the angle of the ridge line portion formed by two surfaces adjacent to each other on the one side is an obtuse angle. It is what.
The invention according to claim 7 is the cleaning apparatus according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 , wherein the normal line of the contact portion on the surface of the surface moving member applied by the plate-like elastic member is provided. An urging means for increasing the pressing force in the direction is provided at both ends of the plate-like elastic member in the longitudinal direction of the plate-like elastic member .
According to an eighth aspect of the present invention, there is provided an image forming apparatus for finally transferring an image formed on an image carrier, which is a surface moving member, to a recording material, and removing unnecessary deposits adhering to the image carrier. as a cleaning means for, and is characterized in the use of the cleaning apparatus according to claim 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7.
According to a ninth aspect of the present invention, there is provided an image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording material carried on a surface of a recording material conveying member which is a surface moving member. as a cleaning means for removing, and is characterized in the use of the cleaning apparatus according to claim 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7.
In a cleaning blade used in a conventional cleaning device, one side that contacts the surface moving member is on the same straight line at the central portion and both ends of the cleaning blade in the longitudinal direction. For this reason, if the central portion in the longitudinal direction of the cleaning blade is recessed from both ends, the amount of biting in the central portion in the longitudinal direction of the cleaning blade with respect to the surface moving member becomes smaller than the amount of biting in both ends.
In this invention, the center part protrudes rather than both ends in the plate-shaped elastic member longitudinal direction of the said one side of a plate-shaped elastic member. As a result, even if the plate-like elastic member is bent so that the center part is recessed from both ends in the longitudinal direction during the surface movement of the surface moving member, the one side in the lengthwise direction protrudes, However, the amount of biting in the central portion in the longitudinal direction of the plate-like elastic member with respect to the surface moving member is larger than in the case where the central portion and the both end portions are on the same straight line. Therefore, compared to the case where the one side is on the same straight line at the longitudinal center and the both ends, the lowering of the contact pressure at the center in the longitudinal direction of the plate-like elastic member with respect to the surface moving member is suppressed, and the plate shape It is possible to suppress the deterioration of the cleaning property at the central portion in the longitudinal direction on the surface moving member due to the elastic member.
As described above, according to the present invention, high removal performance can be obtained, and deterioration of the cleaning property at the central portion in the longitudinal direction of the plate-like elastic member on the surface moving member by the plate-like elastic member when the surface moving member moves can be suppressed. There is an excellent effect.

Next, the cleaning device 30 which is a characteristic part of the present invention will be described in detail.
FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram when the main part of the cleaning device 30 is viewed from the rotation axis direction (Y direction) of the
In the present embodiment, the cleaning device 30 includes a
Further, as shown in FIG. 6, the
The
At this time, the
In this embodiment, when the
As a means for bringing one side of the
In addition, as shown in FIG. 1C and FIG. 1D, the blade shape may be a shape in which the central portion is expanded in the longitudinal direction, and the central portion may bite into the photoconductor from the end portion. The
Further, the configuration in which the central portion is closer to the photoconductor than the end portion in the blade longitudinal direction is not limited to these. That is, when the
Further, how much the central portion protrudes from the end in the longitudinal direction of the blade to the photosensitive member side may be obtained by conducting an experiment in advance. For example, 50 [μm], 100 [μm], 50 [μm], etc., such that the central portion in the longitudinal direction of the
Of course, it is desirable that the conditions for cleaning the toner on the
The
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, the frame (apparatus) is located downstream of the normal line N of the abutting portion P where the abutting side of the
Further, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7, it is preferable that the blade shape has an obtuse angle at the tip angle formed by two surfaces forming the ridge line of the blade that contacts the
In addition, the cleaning device 30 includes a
Here, measurement of the pressing force of the

The
When measuring the pressing force of the
In measurement, a predetermined weight is placed on each
When the pressing force of the
In the present embodiment, the linear pressure is set to the same linear pressure as that set in the conventional counter method, specifically about 0.790 [N / cm]. Here, as described above, the contact width between the
Further, according to the cleaning device 30 of the present embodiment, the contact width can be shortened as described above. Therefore, even when the
Further, according to the cleaning device 30 of this embodiment, it is easier to increase the contact pressure than the conventional counter type cleaning device. Therefore, sufficient removal performance can be exhibited even for a toner having a small particle size and a spherical shape, which is difficult to remove even with a conventional counter type cleaning device.
The urging means such as the
In the present embodiment, the
Here, the amount of elastic deformation decreases as the blade length (the length in the compression direction) in the direction of compressive deformation when the surface of the
When the
In addition, the length of each side of the
The
Further, the
In the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 5, the entire opposing surface of the
Thus, since the warp of the
That is, robustness against environmental fluctuations is improved. Specifically, in the configuration in which the blade warps as in the case where the free length portion of the blade is long, the force due to the warpage of the
Further, the occurrence of warping of the blade means that the blade has a degree of freedom to warp. When the degree of freedom of the blade is large, in the case of the counter method, a serious problem of turning the blade is likely to occur when the frictional force between the blade and the photosensitive member is increased. According to the present embodiment in which the warping of the
Furthermore, the starting torque of the photosensitive member can be reduced. Specifically, as described above, the occurrence of warping of the blade means that the blade has a degree of freedom to warp. Since the frictional force is large at the start of driving of the photosensitive member, if the degree of freedom of the blade is large, it is greatly deformed instantaneously to increase the torque. According to this embodiment in which the warp of the
In the present embodiment, the end of the
Further, the end portion of the
In this embodiment, an adhesive is applied to the entire bonding surface of the
Next, the toner used in the printer of this embodiment will be described.
According to the cleaning device 30 of the present embodiment, since high removal performance can be realized, the cleaning device 30 can be put to practical use for removing toner having an average circularity of 0.940 or more, and further 0.960 or more and 0.998 or less. . Furthermore, removing the toner having an average circularity of 0.96 or more and 0.998 or less can sufficiently exhibit the effects of the present invention.
The toner having the above average circularity can be obtained by thermally or mechanically spheroidizing a toner produced by dry pulverization. Examples of the thermal spheronization treatment include a method of spraying toner particles together with a hot air stream on an atomizer or the like. Moreover, as a mechanical spheroidization process, what is thrown into a mixer, such as a ball mill, with a mixed medium, such as glass with a low specific gravity, is stirred. However, in the thermal spheronization process, toner particles are aggregated to generate toner particles having a large particle size, and in the mechanical spheronization process, fine powder is generated, so that a classification process is required again. In addition, in a toner manufactured in an aqueous solvent, the shape can be controlled by applying strong stirring in the process of removing the solvent.
The circularity of the toner is a value obtained by optically detecting particles and dividing by the circumference of an equivalent circle having the same projected area. Specifically, the measurement is performed using a flow type particle image analyzer “FPIA-2000 (manufactured by Sysmex Corporation)”. 100 to 150 [mL] of water excluding impure fixed substances in advance is put in a predetermined container, surfactant 0.1 to 0.5 [mL] is added as a dispersant, and measurement sample 0.1 to 9.5 is further added. [G] Add a degree. The suspension in which the sample is dispersed is subjected to dispersion treatment with an ultrasonic disperser for about 1 to 3 minutes, and the shape and distribution of the toner are measured with a dispersion concentration of 3000 to 10,000 [pieces / μL]. The circularity is defined by the circularity SR = (peripheral length of a circle having the same area as the particle projection area / perimeter length of the particle projection image), and becomes closer to “1” as the toner is closer to a true sphere.
The toner having a high degree of circularity is easily affected by the lines of electric force on the surface of the carrier or the developing
However, if the average circularity of the toner is less than 0.93, faithful development and transfer with a high transfer rate cannot be performed. This is because when the toner is irregularly shaped, the toner surface is non-uniformly charged, and the center of gravity and the center of the charge are shifted, making it difficult to move faithfully to the electric field.
Further, since a toner having a smaller volume average particle diameter can improve fine line reproducibility, it is preferable to use a toner of 7 [μm] or less at most. However, since the development characteristics deteriorate when the particle size is small, at least 3 [μm] is preferable. Further, when the thickness is less than 3 [μm], the toner having a small particle diameter which is difficult to be developed on the surface of the carrier or the developing
The volume average particle diameter of the toner is measured as follows.
First, 0.1 to 5 [mL] of a surfactant (preferably alkylbenzene sulfonate) is added as a dispersant to 100 to 150 [mL] of the electrolytic aqueous solution. Here, the electrolytic solution was prepared by preparing about 1% NaCl aqueous solution using first grade sodium chloride, and ISOTON R-II type (manufactured by Coulter Scientific Japan) was used. Further, 2 to 20 [mg] of a measurement sample was added thereto, suspended in an electrolytic solution, and subjected to a dispersion treatment with an ultrasonic disperser for about 1 to 3 minutes. The measurement apparatus measures the volume and number of toner particles in the sample for each channel using a 100 μm aperture as the aperture, and calculates the volume distribution and number distribution of the toner.

FIGS. 10A and 10B are diagrams schematically showing the shape of the toner. FIG. 10A is an explanatory diagram for explaining the shape factor SF-1, and FIG. These are explanatory drawings for explaining the shape factor SF-2.
The shape factor SF-1 indicates the ratio of the roundness of the toner shape and is expressed by the following formula 1. This is a value obtained by dividing the square of the maximum length MXLNG of the shape formed by projecting the toner on a two-dimensional plane by the figure area AREA and multiplying by 100π / 4. When the value of SF-1 is 100, the shape of the toner becomes a true sphere, and becomes larger as the value of SF-1 increases.
Specifically, the shape factor is measured by taking a photograph of the toner with a scanning electron microscope (S-800: manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd.), introducing it into an image analyzer (LUSEX 3: manufactured by Nireco) and analyzing it. Calculated.
When the shape of the toner is close to a sphere, the contact with the toner becomes a point contact, so that the attractive force between the toners is weakened. As a result, the fluidity is increased, and the attractive force between the toner and the
As the toner having a substantially spherical shape as described above, a toner composition containing a polyester prepolymer having a functional group containing a nitrogen atom, a polyester, a colorant, and a release agent is crosslinked in an aqueous medium in the presence of resin fine particles. A toner obtained by an extension reaction is preferred. In the conventional pulverized toner manufacturing method, it is not possible to manufacture the pulverized toner by any of the values of circularity, average particle diameter, shape factor SF-1, and SF-2, and the polymerization method is obtained in terms of manufacturing cost and yield. Toner is dominant. However, among the toners obtained by the polymerization method, the toner shape obtained by the suspension polymerization method or the emulsion polymerization method can obtain a true spherical toner in the circularity and the shape factors SF-1 and SF-2. difficult. In particular, although the toner obtained by the dissolution suspension method is spherical, it is an irregularly shaped toner having no regularity, so that satisfactory quality in terms of image quality and the like cannot be obtained.
Next, a toner composition containing the above-mentioned polyester prepolymer having a functional group containing a nitrogen atom, polyester, a colorant, and a release agent is obtained by crosslinking and / or elongation reaction in the presence of resin fine particles in an aqueous medium. The constituent material of the toner to be manufactured and a suitable manufacturing method will be described in detail.

(Toner production method)
Next, the toner manufacturing method will be described in detail. Here, although a preferable method is shown, it is not restricted to this.
A toner material liquid is prepared by dispersing a colorant, unmodified polyester, a polyester prepolymer having an isocyanate group, and a release agent in an organic solvent. The organic solvent is preferably volatile with a boiling point of less than 100 [° C.] from the viewpoint of easy removal after toner base particle formation. Specifically, aromatic solvents such as toluene and xylene and halogenated hydrocarbons such as methylene chloride, 1,2-dichloroethane, chloroform, and carbon tetrachloride can be used alone or in combination of two or more. The usage-amount of an organic solvent is 0-300 weight part normally with respect to 100 weight part of polyester prepolymers, Preferably it is 0-100 weight part, More preferably, it is 25-70 weight part.
The toner material liquid is emulsified in an aqueous medium in the presence of a surfactant and resin fine particles. The aqueous medium may be water alone, or may contain an organic solvent such as alcohol such as methanol, dimethylformamide, tetrahydrofuran, cellosolves, or lower ketones. The amount of the aqueous medium used relative to 100 parts by weight of the toner material liquid is usually 50 to 2000 parts by weight, preferably 100 to 1000 parts by weight. If the amount is less than 50 parts by weight, the dispersion state of the toner material liquid is poor, and toner particles having a predetermined particle diameter cannot be obtained. If it exceeds 20000 parts by weight, it is not economical.
Further, in order to improve the dispersion in the aqueous medium, a dispersant such as a surfactant and resin fine particles is appropriately added. Surfactants include anionic surfactants such as alkylbenzene sulfonates, alkylamine salts, aminoalcohol fatty acid derivatives, polyamine fatty acid derivatives, and quaternary ammonium salt type cationic surfactants such as alkyltrimethylammonium salts. Etc. Further, by using a surfactant having a fluoroalkyl group, the effect can be obtained in a very small amount.
As the resin fine particles, the aforementioned substances can be used. In addition, inorganic compound dispersants such as tricalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, titanium oxide, colloidal silica, and hydroxyapatite can also be used. As a dispersant that can be used in combination with resin fine particles and an inorganic compound dispersant, the dispersed droplets may be stabilized by a polymer protective colloid. For example, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, α-cyanoacrylic acid, α-cyanomethacrylic acid, itaconic acid, crotonic acid, fumaric acid, maleic acid or maleic anhydride and other (meth) acrylic monomers containing hydroxyl groups For example, acrylic acid-β-hydroxyethyl, methacrylic acid-β-hydroxyethyl, acrylic acid-β-hydroxypropyl, methacrylic acid-β-hydroxypropyl, acrylic acid-γ-hydroxypropyl, etc. can be used.
The dispersion method is not particularly limited, and known equipment such as a low-speed shear method, a high-speed shear method, a friction method, a high-pressure jet method, and an ultrasonic wave can be applied. Among these, in order to make the particle size of the dispersion 2 to 20 [μm], a high-speed shearing method is preferable. When a high-speed shearing disperser is used, the number of rotations is not particularly limited, but is usually 1000 to 30000 [rpm], preferably 5000 to 20000 [rpm]. The dispersion time is not particularly limited, but in the case of a batch method, it is usually 0.1 to 5 minutes. The temperature during dispersion is usually 0 to 150 [° C.] (under pressure), preferably 40 to 98 [° C.].
Simultaneously with the preparation of the emulsion, the amines (B) are added to cause a reaction with the polyester prepolymer (A) having an isocyanate group. This reaction involves molecular chain crosslinking and / or elongation. The reaction time is selected depending on the reactivity between the isocyanate group structure of the polyester prepolymer (A) and the amines (B), but is usually 10 minutes to 40 hours, preferably 2 to 24 hours. The reaction temperature is generally 0 to 150 [° C.], preferably 40 to 98 [° C.]. Moreover, a well-known catalyst can be used as needed. Specific examples include dibutyltin laurate and dioctyltin laurate.
After completion of the reaction, the organic solvent is removed from the emulsified dispersion (reactant), washed and dried to obtain toner base particles. In order to remove the organic solvent, the temperature of the entire system is gradually raised in a laminar stirring state, and after applying strong stirring in a certain temperature range, desolvation is performed to produce substantially spherical toner base particles. it can. Here, for example, the shape from a spherical shape to a spindle shape can be controlled. Furthermore, the surface morphology can be controlled from a smooth one to, for example, a pickled plum shape. Further, when an acid such as calcium phosphate salt or an alkali-soluble material is used as the dispersion stabilizer, the calcium phosphate salt is dissolved from the toner base particles by a method such as dissolving the calcium phosphate salt with an acid such as hydrochloric acid and washing with water. Remove. It can also be removed by operations such as enzymatic degradation.
Either before or after the washing and solvent-removing steps, a step can be provided in which the emulsified dispersion is allowed to stand at a certain temperature for a certain period of time and the produced toner particles are aged. Thereby, toner particles having a desired particle diameter can be produced. The temperature of the aging step is preferably 25 to 50 [° C.], and the time is preferably 10 minutes to 23 hours.
A toner is obtained by implanting a charge control agent into the toner base particles obtained above and then externally adding inorganic fine particles such as silica fine particles and titanium oxide fine particles.
The injection of the charge control agent and the external addition of the inorganic fine particles are performed by a known method using a mixer or the like.
Thereby, a toner having a small particle size and a sharp particle size distribution can be easily obtained.

The material was put into a coating apparatus for coating while forming a swirling flow having a rotating bottom plate disk and a stirring blade provided in a fluidized bed, and this dispersion was applied onto the core material. The obtained coated product was baked in an electric furnace at 250 [° C.] for 2 hours, and carrier particles coated with a silicon resin with an average thickness of 0.5 [μm] were produced.

For comparison with the cleaning device 30 of the embodiment, the conditions of the conventional device are performed under two conditions. The conventional apparatus 1 is a counter type cleaning apparatus shown in FIG. 9, and the blade material is polyurethane rubber material having a JISA hardness of 70 °, the blade dimensions are T1 = 2.0 [mm], and T3 = 326 [ mm] rectangular parallelepiped shape. This blade is affixed to the blade holder with double-sided tape, and the blade length (free length; L) extending from the blade holder to the surface of the photoreceptor is 7.6 [mm]. The contact angle θ was set to 21.6 °, and the amount of biting was set to 1.0 [mm].
In the cleaning device 30 of the embodiment, the conventional apparatus 2 is not in a condition in which the central portion in the blade length direction is closer to the photoconductor side than the end portion when stationary (not convex toward the photoconductor side). And the central portion are uniformly in contact with the photosensitive member at the same distance (the central portion and the end portion in the longitudinal direction of the blade attachment surface of the
The running test was performed by replacing only the cleaning device 30 according to the present embodiment and the conventional device with respect to the
The evaluation of the cleaning performance is performed at the start (single sheet), 7500 sheets, and 15000 sheets under the running test conditions, and then the image area ratio 75 [%], which is a test condition for the cleaning performance evaluation. The toner on the photoconductor after passing through the cleaning device after printing 100 sheets in a pattern is transferred with a printerac C tape (manufactured by Nitto Denko), and the tape is affixed to a blank sheet. Then, with a Macbeth reflection densitometer RD514 type When the difference from the blank density is less than 0.005, “◎”, 0.005-0.010 “◯”, 0.011-0.02 “△” The value exceeding 0.02 was evaluated as “x”.
Moreover, visual comprehensive evaluation was performed as follows.
A: Actual use is possible. No abnormal noise such as flapping. There is no slip-through toner. Even if it exists, it cannot be observed by the method of discriminating the degree of contamination of the tape with the naked eye by transferring the tape as shown in “◯ level” below and pasting it on a blank sheet.
〇: Actual use is possible. No abnormal noise. There are no streaks or weak lines to some extent. Generation of toner that slips through is observed.
Δ: There is a possibility that actual use is impossible. There are signs of abnormal noise. About 1 to 10 streaks with a width of 1 mm or less are generated on an A4 horizontal size image.
×: Unusable. There are signs of anomalies and signs of photoconductor damage. Full lines are generated.
The results of the running test are as shown in Table 2 below.
The conventional apparatus 1 has poor cleaning performance. In the conventional apparatus 2 as well, no abnormal noise from the blades or signs of damage to the photosensitive member are observed, but the occurrence of streaks is recognized. Therefore, if the running test is further extended, the blade and the photosensitive member are expected to be worn.
On the other hand, when the apparatus of the example is used, there is no sign of deterioration in cleaning performance, abnormal noise from the blade, or damage to the photoreceptor.
The running test described here was conducted during the initial running test. Furthermore, there is a possibility that further performance difference will appear by executing the running mode with long-term deterioration mode and environmental fluctuation.

In the above-described embodiment, the cleaning device 30 for the photoconductor has been described as an example. However, the present invention is not limited to the
The present invention is not limited to a cleaning device for a photoconductor, but also to a cleaning device for removing a surface transfer member other than the photoconductor, such as a transfer residual toner adhering to the surface of the
Further, when the object to be cleaned is the
In the various application examples described here, the configuration of the photoconductor cleaning device 30 described in the above embodiment can be used almost as it is, or can be appropriately modified according to the application example.
Further, the counter type cleaning device has been described so far. However, as in the cleaning device 30 of the present embodiment, the
