Description

The present invention relates to an optical connector adapter suitable for use in high-density mounting of optical connector plugs.

Conventionally, when an optical connector adapter 100 used for high-density mounting of an optical connector plug is installed in the adapter mounting hole Q of the panel P, as shown in FIGS. 12 (a) and 12 (b), the optical connector adapter is used. A snap-in method is employed, which includes a locking projection 101a on both the left and right sides of 100, and a spring-like locking piece 101b for fixing the panel formed opposite to the locking projection 101a.

However, according to such a snap-in method, as shown in FIG. 14A, a slight clearance is generated between the adapter mounting hole Q of the panel P and the optical connector adapter 100, so that FIG. As shown in FIG. 5, there is a problem that when the panel P is moved, the optical connector adapter 100 is rattled and makes a rattling sound.

In order to prevent such rattling noises from occurring, conventionally, as shown in FIGS. 13 (a) and 13 (b), the flanges 102 on both sides of the optical connector adapter 100 are enlarged, A method is employed in which a hole 103 is provided in the hole 103, and a fastening member 104 such as a tapping screw is screwed into the hole 103 so as to pass through the panel P, thereby eliminating backlash of the optical connector adapter 100.
nothing special

However, in the prior art, the outer shape of the optical connector adapter is increased by the amount of space for screwing the flanges on both sides of the optical connector adapter. It had the problem of being bad.

Accordingly, the present invention has been devised in view of the conventional circumstances as described above, and when the optical connector adapter body is attached to the panel, the optical connector adapter body is easily and reliably rattled. Provided is an optical connector adapter that can prevent the rattling noise from being generated even if the panel is vibrated, and that the optical connector plug can be inserted into the optical connector adapter body without any trouble. For the purpose.

In order to solve the above-described problems, in the present invention, a locking projection formed on the left and right side surfaces of the adapter main body for an optical connector, and a panel fixing spring formed to face the locking projection. And is inserted into the adapter mounting hole of the panel while pressing the spring-like locking piece, and is fixed with the panel opening edge portion sandwiched between the locking projection and the spring-like locking piece. An optical connector adapter that can be cut and raised slightly diagonally outward from the base so as to be pressed against the inner side of the panel opening edge through a gap formed in the upper or lower surface of the optical connector adapter body. A locking spring for looseness is integrally formed with an optical connector adapter body with resin .

The locking spring is formed with a thickness substantially equal to or less than the thickness of the optical connector adapter body.

The locking spring is fitted into an adapter mounting hole in the panel while the upper surface of the locking spring is sequentially crushed toward the wall surface of the adapter main body for an optical connector, and is formed so as to press the panel and prevent backlash.

According to the present invention, it is provided with a locking protrusion formed on the left and right side surfaces of the adapter main body for an optical connector, and a spring-like locking piece for fixing the panel formed facing the locking protrusion, An optical connector adapter that is inserted into the adapter mounting hole of the panel while pressing the spring-like locking piece, and can be fixed by sandwiching the panel opening edge between the locking projection and the spring-like locking piece. A locking spring for rattling is formed through a gap formed in the upper or lower surface of the adapter body for an optical connector so that it is slightly raised outward from the base so as to press against the inside of the panel opening edge. Therefore, when the adapter body for optical connectors is attached to the panel, the backlash of the adapter body for optical connectors can be easily and reliably eliminated, and the rattling sound is prevented even if the panel is vibrated. Can do it Insertion of an optical connector plug to the connector for the adapter body can be performed without hindrance. Further, if a clearance is provided around the locking spring, the locking spring can be easily formed.

The locking spring for looseness inserted into the adapter mounting hole of the adapter main body for the optical connector is fixed by pressing the panel by being press-fitted into the adapter mounting hole. The adapter main body can be smoothly fitted in a state where no clearance is generated, and the optical connector adapter main body is firmly fixed without rattling on all peripheral surfaces, and the workability is also good.

Further, since the locking spring is approximately the same as or less than the thickness of the optical connector adapter body, the locking spring can be inserted by inserting the optical connector adapter body into the adapter mounting hole. Since the locking spring does not protrude toward the sleeve holder inside the optical connector adapter body when crushed, the optical connector plug to be mounted and the locking spring do not interfere with each other. It does not hinder plug fitting.

Since the locking spring is integrally formed on the optical connector adapter body with resin, the waist strength of the base portion of the locking spring can be increased, and a strong holding force for the panel can be obtained.

The best mode for carrying out the optical connector adapter according to the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings.

The adapter for an optical connector according to the present invention shown in the illustrated example is composed of an adapter main body 1 for a two-core connector, and is fitted and fixed in an adapter mounting hole Q having a rectangular opening shape on a panel P capable of high-density mounting. It is. Of course, the adapter main body 1 for a connector having one core or three or more cores may be used.

As shown in FIGS. 1, 3, 5 to 9, the adapter body 1 has both ends of a rectangular tube-shaped adapter housing 2 made of a synthetic resin so that two optical connector plugs can be connected to each other. In addition, one fitting portion A of the optical connector plug and the other fitting portion B of the optical connector plug and other optical components are provided so that the optical axes coincide with each other.

More specifically, as shown in FIGS. 1, 7, and 9, the adapter housing 2 is formed by integrally forming an upper side wall, left and right side walls, a bottom wall, and one partition wall to form two fitting portions A. , A (B, B) are arranged side by side, and a pair of left and right joining end walls 3a having a substantially U-shaped frame shape is disposed in the center of the adapter housing 2, and the fitting end 3b in one fitting portion A is disposed. And the connection end 3c in the other fitting part B is each opened in the horizontal direction.

One of the pair of left and right joining end walls 3a arranged in the center of the adapter housing 2 has one cylinder 4a projecting toward the fitting end 3b and the other joining end wall 3a. The other cylinder 4b protrudes toward the connection end 3c, and the cylinder holders 4a and 4b engage and fix the joining end walls 3a to each other by matching the central axes on the optical axis. Is formed. At this time, a cylindrical split sleeve 5 is mounted and held inside the sleeve holder 4.

The optical connector plug is constituted by, for example, an LC-type plug body 11, and the plug body 11 includes a coupling sleeve 12 and a ferrule tube 13 and a coupling sleeve 12 as shown in FIG. A ferrule 15 attached to the ferrule frame 14, a spring 16 attached to the outer periphery of the rear end portion of the ferrule frame 14, a body frame 17 fitted to the rear end portion of the ferrule frame 14 through the spring 16, And a boot 20 mounted on the rear portion of the main body frame 17.

Further, as shown in FIG. 10, a release lever 18 for integrally engaging with and releasing from the adapter body 1 is provided integrally with the coupling sleeve 12 on the outer peripheral surface of the coupling sleeve 12. The release lever 18 is inclined and extended so as to gradually move away from the outer surface of the coupling sleeve 12 from the front end to the rear end of the coupling sleeve 12, and the rear end of the release lever 18 extends from the main body frame 17. It protrudes in an inclined manner on the opposite side to the coupling sleeve 12 so as to abut on a latch lever 19 formed on the outer peripheral surface.

Next, the optical connector adapter according to the present invention will be described in detail.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the adapter housing 2 of the adapter body 1 has a vertically long locking projection 101a integrally formed at the center of the left and right sides thereof, and is opposed to the locking projection 101a. A panel-fixing spring-like locking piece 101b projecting in a state where elasticity is applied from the front side to the rear side, and the adapter body 1 is an adapter for the panel P while pressing the spring-like locking piece 101b. It is inserted into the mounting hole Q, and the panel P opening edge is sandwiched and fixed between the locking protrusion 101a and the spring-like locking piece 101b.

Further, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 6, apart from the locking protrusions 101a and the spring-like locking pieces 101b, for example, at the left-right symmetrical position on the front side of the upper surface of the adapter body 1, the inner side of the panel opening edge is pushed. A plate-shaped locking spring 21 for rattling that is raised slightly diagonally outward from the base at the front so as to come into contact is raised obliquely upward via a gap 22 that is cut out in a U-shape, for example. It is formed by that.

At this time, the locking spring 21 is set to a thickness substantially equal to or less than the thickness of the adapter housing 2 of the adapter body 1. By doing so, when the locking spring 21 is crushed by inserting the adapter body 1 into the adapter mounting hole Q of the panel P, the locking spring 21 does not protrude toward the sleeve holder inside the adapter body 1. Therefore, when the plug body 11 is connected to each fitting end 3 b of the adapter housing 2, the locking spring 21 does not interfere with the tip connection portion of the plug body 11.

When the adapter main body 1 is inserted into the adapter mounting hole Q of the panel P, the locking spring 21 for preventing backlash presses the panel P from the inside by being press-fitted into the adapter mounting hole Q. It is to be fixed.

By the way, the shape of the gap 22 is not limited to the U-shape, and may be, for example, a U-shape / C-shape or a V-shape along with the locking spring 21. Further, the formation position of the locking spring 21 is not limited to the upper surface of the adapter body 1 and may be formed on the lower surface. Further, the number of the locking springs 21 is not limited to two.

A、A、A、A(B、B、B、B)が並置されて成る。   In addition, the adapter for optical connectors shown in FIG. 11 is comprised by the adapter main body 1 for 4 core connectors. In this case, the upper side wall, the left and right side walls, the bottom wall, and the three partition walls are integrally formed, and the four fitting portions A, A, A, A (B, B, B, B) are juxtaposed. .

Next, an example of the assembly procedure of the locking spring 21 in the best mode of the present invention / optical connector adapter configured as described above will be described in detail.

First, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the adapter housing 2 of the adapter main body 1 is inserted into the adapter mounting hole Q provided in the panel P. At this time, the adapter body 1 is inserted into the adapter mounting hole Q of the panel while pressing the springy locking piece 101b, and as shown in FIG. 9, the locking protrusion 101a and the springy locking piece 101b The panel opening edge is sandwiched between and fixed. At the same time, as shown in FIG. 8, the upper surface of the locking spring 21 is firmly fitted and held in the adapter mounting hole Q while being sequentially crushed from the root toward the upper side wall of the adapter housing 2.

Then, after the fitting, as shown in FIG. 10, the plug body 11 is connected to each fitting end 3 b of the adapter housing 2. At this time, the locking spring 21 is set to a thickness that is substantially the same as or less than the thickness of the adapter housing 2 of the adapter body 1, so that the lower surface of the locking spring 21 and the tip end connection of the plug body 11 are connected. Does not interfere with each other.
