本発明は、自動販売機で使用される自動販売機用照明装置、自動販売機用照明方法およびその方法をコンピュータに実行させることを特徴とするプログラムに関する。

【従来の技術】
自動販売機は、飲料などの商品の見本や販売商品の広告等を示すポスターパネルを表示する展示空間を有している。この展示空間には、商品見本やポスターパネル、ロゴ表示部を照明する蛍光灯が配設されている。商品見本等を蛍光灯によって照明することで、商品情報や広告をアピールし、集客力を高めようとしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、近年では、自動販売機の設置率が高くなり、いっそう商品情報や広告をアピールして集客力を高める要請がある。しかしながら、蛍光灯を用いた照明装置は、展示空間を均一に照明するため、あるいは光が単色であるために売れ筋商品やお勧め商品、新発売商品というように、特定の商品見本のみを強調する、色彩や明るさを変えて照明することは不得手であり、アピール性に欠けるという課題があった。

また、蛍光灯を用いた照明装置は、蛍光灯自身が比較的大型であること、発熱量が多いことによって照明装置をコンパクトにすることに不利であった。

本発明は、上記に鑑みてなされたものであ記に鑑みてなされたものであって、自動販売機において特定のディスプレイ物を強調することが可能で、商品や広告をより強力にアピールできて集客力の高い自動販売機用照明装置、自動販売機用照明方法およびその方法をコンピュータに実行させるプログラムを提供することを第1の目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記した課題を解決するため、本発明の請求項1に記載の発明にかかる自動販売機用照明装置は、自動販売機において表示される複数の商品見本の内部及び外部に各々配設されて各々の商品見本を照明する複数のLEDを備える自動販売機用照明装置であって、自動販売機において表示される商品見本が示す商品の販売形態の情報および商品見本の配列を示す情報をディスプレイ情報として設定するためのディスプレイ情報設定手段と、商品の販売形態に応じてLEDの光量を制御する点灯制御データを複数記憶するとともに、商品見本の配列に応じてLEDの光量を制御する点灯制御データを記憶する点灯制御データ記憶手段と、前記点灯制御データ記憶手段に記憶された点灯制御データを選択するための制御データ選択手段と、前記制御データ選択手段によって選択された点灯制御データにしたがい、前記ディスプレイ情報に応じて前記LEDの点灯状態を制御するとともに、商品見本の配列に応じてLEDの光量を制御する点灯制御データが選択された場合、商品見本の配列を示す情報に応じて前記LEDの点灯状態を制御し、複数の商品見本の内部に配設された各々のLEDと複数の商品見本の外部に配設された各々のLEDとを異なるタイミングで点灯制御する点灯制御手段とを備えたことを特徴とする。

請求項2に記載の発明にかかる自動販売機用照明方法は、複数の商品見本の内部に配設された各々のLEDと、複数の商品見本の外部に配設された各々のLEDとを備える自動販売機において使用される自動販売機用照明方法であって、自動販売機において表示される商品見本が示す商品の販売形態を示す情報および商品見本の配列を示す情報をディスプレイ情報として設定するためのディスプレイ情報設定工程と、商品見本の配列に応じてLEDの光量を制御するものを含み、予め記憶されている前記LEDの点灯状態を制御する点灯制御データを選択するための制御データ選択工程と、選択された点灯制御データにしたがい、前記ディスプレイ情報に応じて複数の商品見本の内部に配設された各々のLEDと、複数の商品見本の外部に配設された各々のLEDとを異なるタイミングで点灯制御する点灯制御工程とを含み、前記ディスプレイ情報は、予め記憶されている点灯制御データは、商品の販売形態に応じてLEDの光量を制御するものであり、商品見本の配列に応じてLEDの光量を制御する点灯制御データが選択された場合、商品見本の配列を示す情報に応じて前記LEDの点灯状態を制御するものであり、前記LEDは、自動販売機において表示される複数の商品見本の内部及び外部に各々配設されて異なるタイミングで各々の商品見本を照明するものであることを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に、本発明の一実施形態を、図面を参照しながら説明する。図1は、本実施形態の自動販売機用照明装置(以下、単に照明装置という)が適用される自動販売機の正面を示す図である。なお、本実施形態は、コーヒー、ジュースといった缶入りの飲料を販売する自動販売機に照明装置を適用するものとして本発明の照明装置を説明する。

図示した自動販売機は、筐体101の前面部に、商品見本110となるディスプレイ缶を展示するとともに、販売商品の広告等を示すポスターパネル108を展示する展示空間112が形成されている。商品見本110、ポスターパネル108は、複数のLED(Light Emitting Diode)102、103、104、105によって照明されている。

なお、本実施形態は、複数のLED102〜105(LED103だけを後で図示する)が互いに異なる光を発光する3色のLEDで構成されている。3つのLEDが発する光の色としては、例えばR(レッド),G(グリーン),B(ブルー)とすることが考えられる。

商品見本110は、展示空間112に設けられた棚111に並べて配置されている。図示した自動販売機は、3つの棚111を備えていて、商品見本110は、3段に配置されることになる。LED102、103、104、105のうち、LED102は、棚111が固定された内扉の内部に固定されている。

LED103は、商品見本110の内部に設けられていて、LED103が発光することによって商品見本110が発光しているように見える。商品見本110の正面図を、図2に拡大したLED103と共に示す。商品見本110は、半透明の部材をカマボコ状に整形して構成されている。LED103は、3つのLED103a,103b,103cで構成されていて、LED103a,103b,103cは、赤、緑、青の各色の光を発する。

各色のLEDは、約1cmの範囲内に配置される。また、3色のLEDは、R,G,Bを1セットとして全体で白色の光を発するスリー・イン・ワンの構成であってもよいし、各色が独立したLEDとして機能するものであってもよい。さらに、LED自体は白色の光を発し、光源の周囲を例えば着色したプラスティックなどで覆うことによってプラスティックを通ってきた光に着色する構成であってもよい。

また、LED105は、ポスターパネル108の内部に設けられていて、ポスターパネル108のロゴマークや文字を視認しやすくしている。また、展示空間112には、販売商品の広告・ロゴマーク等を示すロゴ表示部106が印刷等により表示されている。LED104は、ロゴ表示部106を照明するものであって、内扉内部のロゴ表示部周辺に配置されている。

図3は、本実施形態の照明装置の構成を説明するためのブロック図である。図示した構成は、自動販売機において商品見本110が表す商品の販売形態に関する情報を設定するための販売形態設定部301、設定された販売形態に関する情報を記憶する販売形態記憶部302を備えている。

図5は、以上説明した照明装置でなされる処理を説明するためのフローチャートである。図示したフローチャートでは、先ず、ユーザが販売形態設定部301によって販売形態情報を設定する(ステップS1)。販売形態情報の設定は、商品ごとに、例えば「ホット」商品である、あるいは「新発売」であるかといった情報を設定することによってなされる。設定された販売形態の情報は、販売形態記憶部302に記憶される(ステップS2)。

次に、主制御部309は、選択された光量制御則パターンをユーザがリセットするか否か判断する(ステップS10)。判断の結果、光量制御則パターンの設定を維持するのであれば(ステップS10:No)、LED102〜105の制御を続行する。また、光量制御則パターンの設定をリセットするのであれば(ステップS10:Yes)、新たな光量制御則パターンが選択されたか否か判断する(ステップS11)。判断の結果、光量制御則パターンが選択されていない場合(ステップS11:No)、主制御部309は、処理を終了する。また、判断の結果、光量制御則パターンが選択された場合(ステップS11:Yes)、主制御部309は、新たな光量制御則パターンを入力し、新たな光量制御則パターンにしたがってLED102〜105の光量を制御する。

なお、以上、本実施の形態で説明した自動販売機用照明方法は、あらかじめ用意されたプログラムをコンピュータで実行することにより実現される。このプログラムは、ハードディスク、フロッピーディスク、CD−ROM、MO、DVD等のコンピュータで読み取り可能な記録媒体に記録され、コンピュータによって記録媒体から読み出されることによって実行される。またこのプログラムは、上記記録媒体を介して、また伝送媒体として、インターネット等のネットワークを介して配布することができる。

(1)販売形態
図6は、図1に示した自動販売機によって加熱されて販売されるホット商品と、冷却されて販売されるコールド商品とを販売するときの商品見本の配列を示した図である。図6においては、商品見本110のうちホット商品見本を110aとして示し、コールド商品見本を110bとして示す。

自動販売機に3つ設けられた棚111のうち、1段目、2段目の棚111にはホット商品見本110aとコールド商品見本110bとが混在している。また、3段目の棚111にはホット商品見本110aだけが置かれている。ホット商品見本110a、コールド商品見本110bの配置は、販売形態設定部301によって設定され、販売形態記憶部302に記憶されている。
