Description

The present invention relates to a vehicle including a door that is supported by a vehicle body so as to be freely opened and closed by a hinge.

As a conventional technique for protecting an occupant at the time of a side collision, for example, a vehicle door intrusion suppressing device for an automobile that suppresses intrusion of a door of a vehicle side wall into the vehicle interior, which is disclosed in FIG. Vehicles are known.
Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 55-87812

However, in the vehicle of Patent Document 1, it is possible to suppress the door from entering the vehicle interior during a side collision, but as shown in FIG. The upper part of the vehicle side wall 2 is bent down in the laterally outward direction, and the upper side of the vehicle side wall 2 may be greatly opened (the solid arrow in FIG. 9 indicates the movement direction of the upper part of the door). The white arrow (large) indicates the direction in which the vehicle receives a side collision, the white arrow (small) indicates the movement direction of the occupant, and the broken arrow indicates the deployment direction of the curtain airbag 14).

Therefore, in particular, if the upper side of the vehicle side wall 2 on the side facing the hinge opens, the head of the occupant may protrude into the opening and be sandwiched between the vehicle body and the door.
Further, even if the vehicle includes the curtain airbag 14 that can be inflated and deployed along the vehicle side wall (vehicle interior side) at the time of a side collision (see FIG. 9), the door subjected to the collision is bent, and the vehicle side wall If the curtain airbag 14 inflated and deployed absorbs the impact force applied to the occupant, the reception of the curtain airbag 14 by the side wall 2 (the upper portion of the door 12) becomes insufficient. There was a possibility that the impact force could not be fully absorbed.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to prevent deformation above the vehicle side wall at the time of a side collision.

To achieve the above object, according to the invention of claim 1 of the present invention, a door supported on the vehicle body freely opened and closed by a hinge,
It said allowing the swing of the opening and closing direction of the door, with a door movement restraining mechanism for preventing the movement in the lateral outside direction of the door upper portion of the hinge and facing the side with the deformation during a side collision of the vehicle,
The door movement suppression mechanism includes a first engagement portion provided at the upper portion of the door on the side facing the hinge and a second engagement provided at a position corresponding to the first engagement portion on the vehicle body side. And comprising
One of the first engagement portion and the second engagement portion is configured to include a female engagement member having an opening in the same direction as the door opening / closing direction, and the first engagement portion and the second engagement portion. The other of the joint portions is configured to include a male engagement member that can be inserted into the opening,
The female engagement member includes a notch groove that receives the male engagement member when the door is closed and contacts the male engagement member when a downward force is applied to the upper portion of the door. ,
A recess is formed on the inner peripheral edge of the notch groove on the side in contact with the male engagement member when a downward force is applied to the upper portion of the door. It is characterized by that.

[Action and effect]
The vehicle of the present invention includes a door supported by the vehicle body that can be opened and closed by a hinge. When the vehicle receives a side collision, the door is deformed into a "<" shape and the upper portion of the door is laterally outward. Trying to move as if dragged down. At this time, a particularly large opening may be formed above the vehicle side wall on the side facing the door hinge. In such a situation, when the door is deformed into a "<" shape, even the same upper portion of the door faces the hinge rather than the side supported by the hinge (hereinafter referred to as the hinge side). The side (hereinafter referred to as the hinge-opposing side) is caused by a larger movement in the laterally outward direction. At this time, the upper part of the door on the hinge-facing side moves in the laterally outward direction while moving downward. Move (see FIG. 9).
However, in the vehicle of the present invention, the door movement restraining mechanism prevents the movement of the upper part of the door on the side facing the hinge accompanying the deformation at the time of a side collision in the laterally outward direction. As a result, it is possible to prevent the passenger's head from being pushed into the opening and being sandwiched between the vehicle body and the door. In particular, since a door movement suppression mechanism that can prevent the downward movement of the upper part of the door on the hinge facing side is provided above the vehicle side wall on the hinge facing side, an opening is formed above the vehicle side wall on the hinge facing side in a side collision. It is possible to effectively prevent the formation. In addition, one of the first engagement portion and the second engagement portion includes a female engagement member having an opening in the same direction as the door opening and closing direction, and the first engagement portion and the second engagement portion Since the other is provided with a male engagement member that can be inserted into the opening, the door is allowed to swing in the opening and closing direction, and the door is moved downwardly due to deformation at the time of a side collision of the vehicle. A configuration capable of preventing movement can be realized with a simple structure.
Further, for example, even when the vehicle of the present invention includes the curtain airbag, the function of the vehicle side wall (the door upper portion) that acts as a receiver for the inflated and deployed curtain airbag can be maintained. The impact force applied to the occupant can be sufficiently absorbed.

Since the door movement restraining mechanism allows the door to swing in the opening / closing direction, the door movement restraining mechanism does not cause a problem that the door is difficult to open / close. There will be no hindrance to getting on and off.

(Configuration of door movement suppression mechanism)
Based on FIGS. 1-4, the structure of the door movement suppression mechanism 15 is demonstrated. FIG. 2 is an enlarged longitudinal sectional view of the door movement suppression mechanism 15 shown in FIG. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the door movement suppression mechanism 15 taken along line III-III in FIG. FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing the door movement suppression mechanism 15 when the rear door 12b is in the open state, and the arrows in the figure indicate the swinging direction when the rear door 12b is closed.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 4, the door movement suppression mechanism 15 includes a first engagement portion 16 provided at an upper portion of the rear door 12 b on the side facing the hinge 10, and a first engagement portion on the vehicle body 3 side. 16 and a second engaging portion 23 provided at a position corresponding to 16.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the first engaging portion 16 includes a bolt 17 (an example of a male engaging member), a washer plate 18, a reinforcing material 19, and a welding nut 20. The bolt 17 has a screw portion 17a at one end, a shaft portion 17b having a larger diameter than the screw portion 17a at the center, and a tip enlarged portion 17c having a larger diameter than the shaft portion 17b at the other end.
The door frame 21 at the upper part of the rear door 12b is provided with a bolt hole 22 through which the screw portion 17a of the bolt 17 can pass, and the screw portion 17a is provided from the outside of the door frame 21 to the reinforcing material inside the door frame 21. 19 and the washer plate 18 on the outside of the door frame 21, and a weld nut 20 is attached to the screw portion 17 a between the washer plate 18, the door frame 21, and the reinforcing member 19. And are welded to the reinforcing member 19 in a tightened state.

The second engagement portion 23 includes a clevis 24 (an example of a female engagement member), a screw 25, and a nut 26. Both ends of the clevis 24 and the quarter panel 27 above the door opening 9 are provided with screw holes through which the screws 25 can pass, and the screws 25 are connected to the end of the clevis 24 from the outside of the quarter panel 27. The nut 26 is screwed into the tip of the screw 25 so as to tighten the clevis 24 and the quarter panel 27, so that the clevis 24 is attached to the upper portion of the door opening 9. It is fixed to the quarter panel 27.

The clevis 24 forms an accommodation space 30 having an opening 29 in the same direction as the opening / closing direction of the rear door 12b between the quarter panel 27, and at the edge of the opening 29, when the rear door 12b is closed, A notch groove 31 into which the bolt shaft portion 17b can be introduced is provided along the opening / closing direction of the rear door 12b. The vertical width of the notch groove 31 is configured to be larger than the diameter of the shaft portion 17b and smaller than the diameter of the tip enlarged portion 17c.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, when closing the rear door 12 b, the bolt shaft portion 17 b (part) and the tip enlarged portion 17 c of the first engagement portion 16 are opened to the opening of the clevis 24 of the second engagement portion 23. 29 is configured so that it can be inserted into the accommodating space 30 (that is, when the rear door 12b is closed, the shaft portion 17b of the bolt is introduced into the accommodating space 30 along the notch groove 31 and the bolt 17 The distal end enlarged portion 17c is accommodated in the accommodating space 30).
Although not shown, when the rear door 12b is opened, the bolt shaft portion 17b retreats from the housing space 30 along the notch groove 31 in the opposite direction to that when the rear door 12b is closed, and the bolt tip enlarged portion. 17 c exits the storage space 30.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, in the first engagement portion 16 and the second engagement portion 23, when the rear door 12 b is closed, the bolt shaft portion 17 b and the inner peripheral edge of the notch groove 31 are separated. A gap is formed between the front end enlarged portion 17c and the upper surface of the quarter panel 27. Therefore, the first engaging portion 16 and the second engaging portion 23 do not interfere with each other when the rear door 12b is opened and closed, and as a result, the door movement suppression mechanism 15 swings in the opening and closing direction of the rear door 12b. The configuration is acceptable.

(Operation status of door movement suppression mechanism at the time of side collision)
Based on FIGS. 5-7, the operation | movement condition of the door movement suppression mechanism 15 when the vehicle 1 receives the side collision is demonstrated. 5 (a) and 5 (b) are longitudinal sections showing the state of the door movement suppression mechanism 15 before a side collision and the state of the door movement suppression mechanism 15 at the time of a side collision when viewed from the front of the vehicle. It is a figure (the arrow in FIG.5 (b) shows the moving direction of the volt | bolt 17 of the 1st engaging part 16 (the same direction as the moving direction of the rear door 12b upper part)). FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram for explaining the movement state of the upper part of the rear door 12b when subjected to a side collision (the solid line arrow in FIG. 6 indicates the movement direction of the upper part of the rear door 12b, and is outlined) The arrow (large) indicates the direction in which the vehicle 1 undergoes a side collision, the white arrow (small) indicates the movement direction of the occupant, and the broken arrow indicates the deployment direction of the curtain airbag 14). FIG. 7 is a schematic diagram of the side of the vehicle for explaining the positional relationship between the upper part of the rear door 12b on the hinge facing side and the head of the occupant.

As shown in FIG. 5A, before the side collision (the rear door 12 b is closed), the shaft portion 17 b of the bolt 17 of the first engagement portion 16 is between the inner peripheral edge of the notch groove 31. It is accommodated in the notch groove 31 so that a gap is formed.

As shown in FIGS. 5B and 6, when the vehicle 1 undergoes a side collision, the rear door 12 b of the side wall 2 that has undergone the collision tends to be deformed into a “<” shape. Is dragged down in the laterally outward direction, the bolt 17 of the first engaging portion 16 tends to move downward.

However, the shaft portion 17b of the bolt 17 abuts and is engaged with the lower inner peripheral edge (engagement portion 31a) of the notch groove 31 formed in the horizontal direction (a direction substantially perpendicular to the moving direction of the bolt 17). Accordingly, the downward movement of the first engaging portion 16 (bolt 17) associated with the deformation at the time of a side collision of the vehicle 1 can be prevented (when the bolt 17 moves downward, the tip of the bolt 17 is enlarged). Since the part 17c can be brought into contact with the inner peripheral edge of the notch groove 31 and locked, the first engaging part 16 (bolt 17) can be moved downward as compared with the case where the tip enlarged part 17c is not provided. Can be even more effectively prevented).

As a result, since the movement of the upper part of the rear door 12b in the laterally outward direction due to the deformation at the time of a side collision is prevented, the upper part of the vehicle side wall 2 on the hinge facing side is prevented from opening greatly, and the passenger's head Of the vehicle side wall 2 (upper part of the rear door 12b) that acts as a receiver for the inflated and deployed curtain airbag 14 as well as the possibility that the part protrudes into the opening and is sandwiched between the vehicle body 3 and the rear door 12b. The curtain airbag 14 can sufficiently absorb the impact force applied to the occupant (as shown in FIG. 7, the occupant's head is the vehicle on the hinge-opposed side when viewed from the side of the vehicle 1). Above the side wall 2 (above the rear door 12b on the hinge-facing side) and at a position substantially coincident with the lower deployed part of the curtain airbag 14).

[Another embodiment]
[1] FIGS. 8A and 8B show the state of the door movement suppression mechanism 15 before the side collision and the state of the door movement suppression mechanism 15 before the side collision when viewed from the front of the vehicle. 8 is a longitudinal sectional view (the arrow in FIG. 8B indicates the moving direction of the bolt 17 of the first engaging portion 16 (the same direction as the moving direction of the upper portion of the rear door 12b)).
As shown in FIG. 8, when the bolt 17 moves downward due to a side collision, the shaft portion 17b comes into contact with the lower inner peripheral edge (locking portion 31a) of the notch groove 31 in the above-described embodiment. You may make it provide the hollow part 32 which can be latched. By adopting such a configuration, it is difficult for the bolt shaft portion 17b to move rightward (in the direction in which the rear door 12b opens) in FIG. 8B, and therefore more reliably accompanying deformation during a side collision. The movement of the upper part of the rear door 12b in the laterally outward direction can be prevented.
[2] The door movement suppression mechanism in the above-described embodiment can be applied to a door that is supported on the vehicle body by a hinge so as to be freely opened and closed. It can also be applied to seat side doors (passenger side doors or driver side doors) and double doors, and the vehicle types are particularly limited, such as 2-door cars, 3-door cars, 4-door cars, etc. It is not a thing.
[3] The second engaging portion 23 in the above-described embodiment may be provided on the roof side panel above the door opening 9.
[4] The configurations of the first engaging portion 16 and the second engaging portion 23 in the above-described embodiment may be interchanged. That is, the first engagement portion 16 provided on the door side is configured to include the clevis 24, the screw 25, and the nut 26, and the second engagement portion 23 provided on the vehicle body side includes the bolt 17 and the washer plate. 18, a reinforcing member 19, and a welding nut 26. In this configuration, at the time of a side collision, the upper inner periphery of the notch groove 31 formed in the horizontal direction in the clevis 24 of the first engagement portion (of course, the above-described recess portion 32 is also provided for this locking portion. However, the first engagement portion 16 (clevis 24) below the second engagement portion 23 is deformed at the time of a side collision of the vehicle by contacting and locking with the shaft portion 17b of the bolt of the second engagement portion 23. Movement to can be prevented.
[5] Near the upper side of the vehicle side wall 2 on the hinge-facing side so that the first engaging portion 16 and the second engaging portion 23 in the above-described embodiment can normally allow the door to swing in the opening and closing direction. Only when there is a lateral movement of the upper part of the door due to the deformation at the time of a side collision of the vehicle, it uses the force of the gas blown from the inflator to jump out and engage with each other. It is good also as a structure which unites.
[6] The first engagement portion 16 in the above-described embodiment is configured to include a rod-like body having a jaw like a fishing hook at the tip thereof, and the rod-like body is normally a door of the door. When the hinge is set in the vicinity of the upper side of the vehicle side wall 2 on the hinge-facing side so as to allow swinging in the opening / closing direction, and the lateral movement of the upper part of the door due to deformation at the time of a side collision of the vehicle occurs Only when the gas blows out from the inflator using the momentum of the gas, etc., and is stuck into the quarter panel or the like on the vehicle body side, or is penetrated and locked in a hole provided in advance on the quarter panel or the like on the vehicle body side. Thus, a configuration in which the movement of the upper part of the door in the laterally outward direction due to the deformation at the time of a side collision of the vehicle may be prevented. Further, the second engagement portion 23 includes the rod-like body, and is stuck into the door frame or the like when the side collision occurs or is penetrated and locked into a hole provided in the door frame or the like in advance. Thus, it is possible to prevent the movement of the upper part of the door in the laterally outward direction due to the deformation at the time of a side collision of the vehicle.
