位置合わせバネは、少なくとも回動軸を保持部材に対して所定角度位置となるように保持せしめることができればよい。すなわち、装着後には回動軸を回動可能としつつ装着前には保持部材に対して一定角度となるように保持せしめるものであればよい。むろん、打撃槌に弾発力を与えるような大きな付勢力を要するものではなく、打撃槌を付勢するスプリングとは別にこの位置合わせバネを備えている。また、結果的に回動軸を所定角度に保持できれば良く、実施例のように同回動軸と一体的に連結されている操作レバーを付勢するものであっても良いし、同回動軸を直に付勢するものであっても構わない。
付勢力を与えるバネとしては、バネ形状に応じて各種の構成が可能であり、適宜変更可能である。また、回動可能な操作レバーに対する電気的な配線を兼用するなどしても良い。操作レバーは回動するため、通常の電線で配線するとなれば移動可能なように余裕をもって配線しなければならないものの、余裕がありすぎると絡まってしまうこともある。このような場合にバネで構成されていれば、移動可能となりつつ絡ませることもない。例えば、遊技機の操作ハンドルであればタッチセンサの電極を操作レバーに備えることがあり、このような場合に電極との配線に利用すれば好適である。さらに、操作レバーを回動方向に対して付勢するだけでなく、軸方向へも付勢してガタが生じないようにしても良い。
操作レバーとしては、一般的には円盤状に形成されて指掛け部が形成されているが必ずしも円盤状である必要はなく、回動軸に連結されて同回動軸を回動操作可能なものであればよい。従って、握り部分全体が回動するようなものであったりしても良い。むろん、回動軸と別体となっている必要もなく、一体として形成しておいても良い。
保持部材は一般的には円盤状の操作レバーを回動可能に挟み込んで保持するものであるが、少なくとも遊技台に対して固定されて回動軸を保持するようなものであれば良い。従って、一体となって直に遊技台に固定されるものであっても良いし、遊技台の側の部材と操作ハンドルの側とが装着時に位置合わせして固定されるようなものであっても良い。また、形状としては概略筒形となっているが、握り形状などに応じて適宜変更可能である。
