  • Filters For Electric Vacuum Cleaners (AREA)

Description

The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner capable of collecting dust sucked by driving an electric blower.

JP 2003-265376 A (page 3-5, FIG. 1)

However, the above-described electric vacuum cleaner has a problem that the filter is clogged with time, and the suction force of the electric blower is reduced when the filter is clogged in this way.

For this reason, it is necessary to periodically clean the filter and frequently remove fine dust adhering to the filter. Since it adheres, the maintainability is not good.

This invention is made | formed in view of such a point, and it aims at providing the vacuum cleaner which suppressed the fall of the suction force with time.

Hereinafter, the configuration of a vacuum cleaner according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5.

In FIG. 5, reference numeral 1 denotes a vacuum cleaner main body, and the vacuum cleaner main body 1 is a so-called canister type electric vacuum cleaner capable of traveling on the floor surface. The vacuum cleaner main body 1 includes a main body case 4 having a lower case 2 whose upper side is opened to be inclined downward from the rear to the front, and a lid 3 that covers an upper portion of the lower case 2. In the case 4, an electric blower 5 is disposed on the rear side, and a dust collection unit 7 (FIG. 1) as a dust collection portion whose upper part is opened and closed by the lid 3 is disposed on the front side. A control means 8 is provided for controlling the operation and the like.

A main body suction port 11 that can communicate with the suction side of the electric blower 5 through the dust collecting unit 7 is formed at the front end of the main body case 4. A hose body 12 is attached to and detached from the main body suction port 11. A hand operating part 13 is provided at the tip of the hose body 12, and a gripping part 14 is provided on the hand operating part 13 to be gripped by an operator. A plurality of setting buttons 15 for setting an operation mode and the like of the electric blower 5 are provided by an operator. The extension pipe 16 and a floor brush 17 as a suction port body are sequentially connected to the distal end portion of the hand operation unit 13 in communication.

Further, a cord reel around which a power cord (not shown) for supplying power to the electric blower 5 is wound is disposed in the main body case 4 so that the power cord can be taken in and out of the main body case 4.

The electric blower 5 is disposed at a substantially central position in the left-right direction of the cleaner body 1 with the suction side as the front side and the exhaust side as the rear side. The electric blower 5 is operated according to the operation mode set in the control means 8 by the setting button 15.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the dust collection unit 7 has, for example, the main dust collection chamber 21 as the first dust collection unit on the upper side and the sub dust collection chamber 22 as the second dust collection unit on the lower side, for example. The main dust collection chamber 21 and the sub dust collection chamber 22 are connected to each other through a first communication passage 26 and a second communication passage 27. Further, the downstream side of the dust collection unit 7 is connected in communication with the suction side of the electric blower 5 via a suction air passage 28 as a first communication air passage and a cleaning air passage 29 as a second communication air passage.

The main dust collection chamber 21 is used mainly when cleaning the electric vacuum cleaner, and is connected to the downstream side of the main body suction port 11 and is disposed along the central axis of the main body suction port 11, This is a so-called cyclone type dust collecting unit that separates dust sucked by driving of the blower 5 from the air, for example, by centrifugation. Further, a communication pipe valve 31 as an upstream valve body capable of blocking communication between the main dust collection chamber 21 and the main body suction port 11 is disposed outside the upstream side of the main dust collection chamber 21. Further, a mesh filter 32 as a first filter is disposed in the main dust collection chamber 21, and a separation portion 34 is defined between the upstream side which is the main body suction port 11 side and the mesh filter 32. A communication portion 35 is defined on the downstream side of the mesh filter 32.

The open / close operation of the communication pipe valve 31 is controlled by the control means 8.

The mesh filter 32 collects dust contained in the passing air. For this reason, the separating unit 34 collects relatively large coarse dust D1 that does not pass through the mesh filter 32 out of the dust sucked from the main body suction port 11, and is one of the fine dusts that pass through the mesh filter 32. Part is collected by the mesh filter 32, and the coarse dust D1 is compressed by the air passing through the mesh filter 32.

The separation portion 34 communicates with the sub dust collection chamber 22 via the first communication passage 26, and a first on-off valve 36 that can open and close the first communication passage 26 is connected to the first communication passage 26. Is provided. The opening / closing operation of the first opening / closing valve 36 is controlled by the control means 8.

The communication portion 35 communicates with the sub dust collection chamber 22 via the second communication passage 27, and the second communication passage 27 is provided with a second on-off valve 37 that can open and close the second communication passage 27. It has been. The opening / closing operation of the second opening / closing valve 37 is controlled by the control means 8.

The secondary dust collection chamber 22 is an auxiliary dust collection unit that moves and collects dust collected in the separation unit 34 of the main dust collection chamber 21, and a paper pack 38 as a disposable dust collection bag is attached and detached inside. A mesh filter 39 as an auxiliary filter that is finer than that of the paper pack 38 is disposed outside the paper pack 38 and on the exhaust side that is a communicating portion with the suction air passage 28 outside the paper pack 38. .

The paper pack 38 includes mouth plates 38a and 38b attached to lower ends of the communication passages 26 and 27, and a bag-like filter portion 38c provided integrally with the mouth plates 38a and 38b. Openings (not shown) are formed in the mouth plates 38a and 38b, respectively, so that the communication passages 26 and 27 communicate with the filter portion 38c. The filter unit 38c is configured to be folded when not in use and to swell throughout the sub-dust collection chamber 22 when used.

The suction air passage 28 is connected to the suction side of the electric blower 5 by the downstream side of the main dust collection chamber 21 and the downstream side of the sub dust collection chamber 22, and communicates with the outside air to mesh the main dust collection chamber 21. An outside air introduction hole 51 through which outside air can be introduced to the backwash side of 32 is formed, and an outside air entry valve 52 as an outside air switching valve for opening and closing the outside air introduction hole 51 is disposed in the outside air introduction hole 51. The open / close operation of the outside air entry valve 52 is controlled by the control means 8.

Hereinafter, backwashing removes dust adhering to the filter by allowing fluid to pass through the filter from a direction opposite to the direction in which the fluid passes when dust is collected by the filter. That means.

A rotary pleat filter 54 as a second filter is rotatably provided at the downstream end of the suction air passage 28 so as to cover the suction side of the electric blower 5. The rotating pleated filter 54 is disposed substantially coaxially with the electric blower 5, has a finer mesh than the mesh filter 32, and is capable of collecting fine dust D 2 that has passed through the mesh filter 32. A pleated shape extending along the circumferential direction is formed over the entire circumferential direction. Further, the rotary pleat filter 54 is provided with a dust removal device (not shown) that removes dust collected by the rotary pleat filter 54 by applying vibration or the like. The operation of the dust removing device is controlled by the control means 8.

Further, a switching valve 55 is provided at the upstream end of the suction air passage 28. The switching valve 55 selectively connects one of the main dust collection chamber 21 and the sub dust collection chamber 22 to the suction side of the electric blower 5 via the suction air passage 28. The opening / closing operation is controlled by.

On the other hand, the cleaning air passage 29 connects the downstream side of the mesh filter 39 in the sub dust collection chamber 22 and the suction side of the electric blower 5 separately from the suction air passage 28, and is a fixed pleated filter as a third filter. 56 is provided at the communicating portion with the downstream side of the sub dust collection chamber 22, and either the suction air passage 28 or the washing air passage 29 is selected by the movement of the fine dust filter valve 57 whose operation is controlled by the control means 8. Thus, the electric blower 5 is configured to communicate with the suction side.

The fixed pleat filter 56 has a finer mesh than the mesh filter 39 and can collect fine dust that has passed through the mesh filter 39. For example, from the front side to the rear side so that the pleat shape is along the front-rear direction. And are arranged so as to incline upward.

The communication pipe valve 31, the on-off valves 36 and 37, the outside air entry valve 52, the switching valve 55, the fine dust filter valve 57 and the control means 8 constitute a switching mechanism 58. In the first state in which the negative pressure of the blower 5 forms the main air passage W1 that acts on the floor brush 17, the extension pipe 16, the hose body 12, the main body suction port 11, the separation portion 34, the communication portion 35, and the suction air passage 28. In a certain cleaning state, the negative pressure of the electric blower 5 acts on the outside air introduction hole 51, the suction air passage 28, the communication portion 35, the second communication passage 27, the sub dust collection chamber 22, and the cleaning air passage 29. The fine dust moving state which is the second state forming the path W2, and the negative pressure of the electric blower 5 are the outside air introduction hole 51, the suction air path 28, the communication part 35, the separation part 34, the first communication path 26, the sub-collection. The coarse dust moving state, which is the third state that forms the second auxiliary air passage W3 acting with the dust chamber 22 and the cleaning air passage 29, and the negative pressure of the electric blower 5 are the floor brush 17, the extension pipe 16, the ho A filter cleaning state that is a fourth state that forms a third sub air passage W4 that acts on the body 12, the main body suction port 11, the separation portion 34, the first communication passage 26, the sub dust collection chamber 22, and the suction air passage 28. , Can be selectively switched.

Next, the operation of the above embodiment will be described.

First, the hose body 12, the extension pipe 16 and the floor brush 17 are sequentially connected to the main body suction port 11, the lid body 3 of the main body case 4 is opened, the dust collecting unit 7 is attached, and the lid body 3 is closed.

Then, the power cord is pulled out from the main body case 4 and connected to an outlet such as a wall surface. When the operator grips the grip 14 and operates a predetermined setting button 15, the control means 8 drives the dust remover to rotate the pleat. After the fine dust D2, which is fine dust collected by the filter 54, is knocked down from the rotary pleat filter 54, the electric blower 5 is driven.

At this time, as shown in FIG. 2, the control means 8 closes the main dust collection chamber 22 side by the switching valve 55 and closes the suction air passage 28 by the fine dust filter valve 57, and passes the cleaning air passage 29. The downstream side of the sub dust collection chamber 22 is communicated with the suction side of the electric blower 5, the second on-off valve 37 is opened and the first on-off valve 36 is closed, and the communication portion 35 of the main dust collection chamber 21 and the sub dust collection chamber are opened. 22, the communication pipe valve 31 is closed, the upstream side of the main dust collecting chamber 21 is closed, and the outside air entry valve 52 is opened (fine dust movement state).

Therefore, the first auxiliary wind in which negative pressure acts on the outside air introduction hole 51, the suction air passage 28, the communication portion 35, the second communication passage 27, the sub dust collection chamber 22 and the cleaning air passage 29 by driving the electric blower 5. After the passage W2 is formed, outside air is introduced from the outside air introduction hole 51, flows into the sub dust collection chamber 22 from the communication portion 35 through the second communication passage 27, and passes through the paper pack 38 and the mesh filter 39. It passes through the fixed pleat filter 56 and flows into the cleaning air passage 29, is sucked into the electric blower 5, passes through the electric blower 5, becomes exhaust air, and is exhausted from the exhaust hole (not shown) to the outside of the cleaner body 1. The

Here, the outside air taken in from the outside air introduction hole 51 moves the dust blown off from the rotary pleat filter 54 to the paper pack 38 of the sub dust collection chamber 22 through the communication portion 35 and the second communication passage 27. A part of the fine dust D2 that has passed through the paper pack 38 is collected when the air passes through the mesh filter 39 and the fixed pleated filter 56, and a part of the dust is collected in the paper pack 38. Collected by fixed pleated filter 56.

As a result, the rotary pleat filter 56 is cleaned.

Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 1, the control means 8 closes the sub dust collection chamber 22 side by the switching valve 55 and closes the cleaning air passage 29 by the fine dust filter valve 57, and passes through the suction air passage 28. The downstream side of the main dust collection chamber 21 is communicated with the suction side of the electric blower 5, the on-off valves 36 and 37 are closed, and the separation portion 34 and the communication portion 35 of the main dust collection chamber 21 communicate with the sub dust collection chamber 22. The communication pipe valve 31 is opened to open the upstream side of the main dust collection chamber 21, and the outside air entry valve 52 is closed to shut off the outside air to the main dust collection chamber 21 (cleaning state).

As a result, when the electric blower 5 is driven, a main air passage W1 in which negative pressure acts on the floor brush 17, the extension pipe 16, the hose body 12, the main body suction port 11, the separation portion 34, the communication portion 35, and the suction air passage 28 is obtained. The dust is formed and sucked into the main dust collecting chamber 21 together with the air.

Of the dust sucked into the main dust collection chamber 21, coarse dust D1, which is relatively large dust, is centrifuged, for example, and collected in the separation unit 34, and air is meshed in some fine dust. The fine dust D2 collected by the mesh filter 32 when passing through the filter 32 and further passing through the mesh filter 32 is captured by the rotary pleat filter 54 when air passes through the rotary pleat filter 54. Be collected. Note that the coarse dust D1 accommodated in the separation part 34 is compressed by the passing air.

The air that has passed through the rotary pleat filter 54 is sucked into the electric blower 5 through the suction air passage 28, passes through the electric blower 5 to become exhaust air, and is exhausted from the exhaust hole (not shown) to the outside of the cleaner body 1. Is done.

Next, when the operator operates the setting button 15 when cleaning is completed, the control means 8 drives the dust removing device to select the fine dust moving state shown in FIG. The collected fine dust D2 is moved to the paper pack 38 in the sub-dust collection chamber 22 and collected in the paper pack 38, the mesh filter 39, and the fixed pleat filter 56.

Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the control means 8 closes the sub dust collection chamber 22 side by the switching valve 55 and closes the suction air passage 28 by the fine dust filter valve 57, and passes through the cleaning air passage 29. In a state where the downstream side of the sub dust collection chamber 22 is in communication with the suction side of the electric blower 5, the first on / off valve 36 is opened and the second on / off valve 37 is closed, and the separation unit 34 of the main dust collection chamber 21 and the sub collection The dust chamber 22 is communicated, the communication pipe valve 31 is closed, the upstream side of the main dust collection chamber 21 is closed, and the outside air entry valve 52 is opened (coarse dust movement state).

At this time, a part of the coarse dust D1 collected by the separation unit 34 falls to the sub dust collection chamber 22 through the first communication path 26 by its own weight, and is collected by the paper pack 38.

Further, when the electric blower 5 is driven, negative pressure acts on the outside air introduction hole 51, the suction air passage 28, the communication portion 35, the separation portion 34, the first communication passage 26, the sub dust collection chamber 22 and the cleaning air passage 29. Two auxiliary air passages W3 are formed, and the outside air is introduced from the outside air introduction hole 51 into the main dust collecting chamber 21.

The outside air passes through the mesh filter 32 from the downstream side to the upstream side, backwashes the mesh filter 32, and is sucked into the sub-dust collection chamber 22 through the first communication path 26, and the paper pack 38 , Sequentially passing through the mesh filter 39 and the fixed pleated filter 56, passing through the cleaning air passage 29 and sucked into the electric blower 5, passing through the electric blower 5 to become exhaust air, and from the exhaust hole (not shown) to the vacuum cleaner main body 1 Exhausted to the outside.

As a result, the remaining coarse dust D1 collected in the separation unit 34 flows into the paper pack 38 of the sub-dust collection chamber 22 from the first communication path 26 due to the flow of outside air, and the paper pack 38 or the mesh filter. Collected by 39.

Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the control means 8 closes the main dust collecting chamber 21 side by the switching valve 55 and closes the cleaning air passage 29 by the fine dust filter valve 57, and passes through the suction air passage 28. In a state where the downstream side of the sub dust collection chamber 22 is in communication with the suction side of the electric blower 5, the first on / off valve 36 is opened and the second on / off valve 37 is closed, and the separation unit 34 of the main dust collection chamber 21 and the sub collection The dust chamber 22 is communicated, the communication pipe valve 31 is opened to open the upstream side of the main dust collection chamber 21, and the outside air entry valve 52 is closed to shut off the outside air to the main dust collection chamber 21 (filter cleaning). Status).

At this time, a part of the coarse dust D1 collected by the separation unit 34 falls to the sub dust collection chamber 22 through the first communication path 26 by its own weight, and is collected by the paper pack 38.

At the same time, when the electric blower 5 is driven, negative pressure is generated from the floor brush 17, the extension pipe 16, the hose body 12, the main body suction port 11, the separation portion 34, the first communication passage 26, the sub dust collection chamber 22, and the suction air passage 28. The acting third auxiliary air passage W4 is formed, and air is sucked into the main dust collecting chamber 21.

Then, the sucked air is sucked into the sub dust collection chamber 22 through the first communication passage 26, passes through the paper pack 38 and the mesh filter 39, and further, on the dust collecting surface of the fixed pleat filter 56. The fixed pleated filter 56 is washed by passing through a certain upper surface, and fine dust collected by the fixed pleated filter 56 is removed.

Thereafter, the removed fine dust is collected by the rotary pleat filter 54 when the air passes through the rotary pleat filter 54 via the suction air passage 28.

As a result, the fixed pleated filter 56 is cleaned.

The air that has passed through the rotary pleat filter 54 is sucked into the electric blower 5, passes through the electric blower 5, becomes exhaust air, and is exhausted from the exhaust hole (not shown) to the outside of the cleaner body 1.

And the control means 8 will stop the electric blower 5 and stop the operation | movement of a vacuum cleaner, if predetermined time passes.

When a predetermined amount or more of dust has accumulated in the paper pack 38, the lid 3 is opened, the paper pack 38 is removed from the sub dust collection chamber 22 and discarded together with the dust, and a new paper pack 38 is disposed in the sub dust collection chamber 22. Attach to.

As described above, in the above embodiment, by selecting the cleaning state by the switching mechanism 58, the coarse dust D1 is collected in the separation part 34 of the main dust collecting chamber 21, and the mesh filter 32 and the rotary pleat filter are collected. The fine dust D2 is collected in 54, and the fine dust moving state is selected by the switching mechanism 58, so that the fine dust D2 collected in the rotary pleat filter 54 is moved to the sub-dust collection chamber 22, and the rotary pleat filter 54 By selecting the coarse dust movement state by the switching mechanism 58, the mesh filter 32 is washed and the coarse dust D1 collected in the main dust collection chamber 21 is moved to the sub dust collection chamber 22, and The fixed pleat filter 56 is cleaned by selecting the filter cleaning state with the switching mechanism 58.

As a result, the main dust collection chamber 21 and the filters 32, 54, and 56 are kept clean, and coarse dust D1 and fine dust D2 continue to accumulate on the main dust collection chamber 21 side that is mainly used for cleaning. Since the mesh filter 32 and the pleat filters 54 and 56 are prevented from clogging with time, the coarse dust D1 and fine dust D2 moved from the main dust collecting chamber 21 are accumulated in the paper pack 38. Until then, it is possible to suppress a decrease in suction force over time.

Further, since the coarse dust D1 once compressed in the main dust collection chamber 21 is moved to the paper pack 38 in the sub dust collection chamber 22, the bulk of the coarse dust D1 moved to the paper pack 38 is reduced, and the paper pack 38 Capacity can be used more effectively.

Further, by disposing the main dust collecting chamber 21 above the sub dust collecting chamber 22, when the first opening / closing valve 36 is opened by the switching mechanism 58, the main dust collecting chamber 21 is captured by the separation unit 34 via the first communication passage 26. Part of the collected coarse dust D1 can be dropped into the sub dust collection chamber 22 by its own weight, and when moving the fine dust D2 and coarse dust D1 to the sub dust collection chamber 22 by the outside air, These fine dust D2 and coarse dust D1 can be moved efficiently.

In the above embodiment, the main dust collection chamber 21 and the sub dust collection chamber 22 have various other arrangements other than the main dust collection chamber 21 being the upper side and the sub dust collection chamber 22 being the lower side. Is possible.

Further, the opening / closing operation of each valve 31, 36, 37, 55, 52, 57 is controlled by the control means 8. However, a separate valve control means for controlling is provided, or mechanical opening / closing of any one of the valves is mechanically performed. Other valves may be opened and closed in conjunction with each other.

Furthermore, instead of the paper pack 38, a secondary filter such as tissue paper can be attached to the sub dust collection chamber 22, and the secondary filter is not attached to the sub dust collection chamber 22, and the sub dust collection chamber 22 is not attached. It is also possible to configure 22 itself as a dust collection cup that can be attached to and detached from the cleaner body 1.

A configuration in which the mesh filter 39 is not provided is also possible.

The details of the vacuum cleaner are not limited to the above configuration, and the vacuum cleaner is not limited to the canister type, for example, self-propelled (running assist type) or autonomous running type (robot type) electric For example, a vacuum cleaner or the like may be used. For example, the floor brush 17 may be an upright type or a handy type directly formed on the lower surface of the vacuum cleaner body 1.
