Description
The present invention relates to an image reading apparatus, and more particularly to an image reading apparatus including a plurality of light sources that emit light of different colors.
In an image reading apparatus, there are two types of methods for reading a color image: a color filter method and a light source switching method. In the color filter method, a plurality of filters that transmit light of R (red), G (green), and B (blue) are provided on the photographing element, the white light is irradiated to the original, and the image is reflected by the reflected light from the original. It is a method to shoot. On the other hand, in the light source switching method, a light source that emits red light, a light source that emits green light, and a light source that emits blue light are provided, and red, green, and blue light are sequentially applied to the document by each light source. This is a method in which an image is photographed by irradiation and reflected light from the original. The light source switching method is generally applied to a low-cost CIS (contact image sensor) type image reading apparatus.
Here, the light source switching method has a problem that color misregistration occurs in a read image, as will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 9 is an explanatory diagram for explaining that color misregistration occurs in an image read by the light source switching method. FIG. 9 shows a document P and a
An image to be read is printed on the document P. Although not shown in FIG. 9, the
However, in the light source switching type image reading apparatus, images are taken line by line in the order of red, green, and blue while the
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an image reading apparatus that reads a color image by sequentially irradiating light of a plurality of colors, and can provide an image reading apparatus that can suppress occurrence of color misregistration in the read image. is there.
According to the present invention, in the image reading apparatus, a slider that moves in a predetermined direction along the document surface and the slider are mounted on the slider, and light of different colors is sequentially applied to the document while the slider is moving. When the plurality of light sources to be irradiated and the slider are located at the second photographing position , the first photographing position, and the third photographing position from the upstream side in the predetermined direction, the original is reflected by the light reflected from the original. An image taking means for taking the image of the image, and an optical path changing means for changing the optical path of the light reflected from the original, wherein the optical path changing means is a liquid lens including a first liquid and a second liquid. , the shape of the interface between the first liquid and the second liquid, by deforming by electrowetting phenomenon, a liquid lens wherein the optical path is changed, before Symbol light Change means, when the slider is positioned at the second imaging position, the optical path of the light reflected at the original document is moved to the lower stream side of the predetermined direction, the photographing position the slider of the third when located in, moving the optical path of the light reflected at the original document to the upper stream side of the predetermined direction, characterized by.
According to the present invention, when the slider is positioned on the upstream side from the first photographing position, the optical path changing unit moves the optical path of the light reflected from the document to the upstream side, so that the first photographing position is reached. If the downstream side is located, the optical path changing means moves the optical path of the light reflected from the document to the downstream side. For this reason, even when the slider is positioned upstream of the first shooting position, the light reflected at the first shooting position of the document is incident on the shooting means. Further, even when the slider is positioned downstream of the first photographing position, the light reflected at the first photographing position of the document enters the photographing unit. Thereby, the light incident on the photographing means becomes light reflected at substantially the same position of the document regardless of which of the plurality of light sources is turned on. As a result, the occurrence of color misregistration in the image reading apparatus is suppressed.
In the present invention, a plurality of the first photographing positions are arranged at equal intervals in the predetermined direction, and a plurality of the second photographing positions and the third photographing positions are provided between the first photographing positions. You may line up.
In the present invention, the optical path changing means further includes a first electrode and a second electrode for applying a voltage to the first liquid and the second liquid, and the interface includes the first liquid and the second electrode. By applying different voltages to the electrode and the second electrode, the electrode may be deformed into an asymmetric shape with respect to the optical axis of the liquid lens.
In the present invention, the first electrode and the second electrode may be arranged so as to sandwich an optical path of light reflected from the original.
Hereinafter, an image reading apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
(Configuration of image reading device)
FIG. 1 is a side view of an
The
The image reading device
The
The light sources 20 </ b> R, 20 </ b> G, and 20 </ b> B are configured by, for example, LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) and mounted on the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The light emitted from the
The
The
The
(Configuration of liquid lens)
Next, the configuration of the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The
The
The
The insulating
The operation principle of the
First, the interfacial tension between the
Here, when a voltage is applied to the electrode 48 and the
Here, ε is a dielectric constant of the insulating
Due to the occurrence of the pressure drop, the interface S and the insulating
As described above, it can be understood that the angle formed between the interface S and the insulating
Furthermore, when different voltages are applied between the
On the other hand, when a voltage is applied only between the
(Operation of image reader)
Hereinafter, the operation of the
In the
Hereinafter, the operation of the
The
The

According to the
(Other embodiments)
The
In the
