データ通信手段はUSBI/Fの他、IP/Ethernetなどが考えられる。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is connected to an information device such as a personal computer (hereinafter referred to as a PC) that can capture and record image data, enables image data from the information device to be displayed on a screen, and a television (hereinafter referred to as a TV). Display device such as a liquid crystal display monitor capable of displaying images, and a recording / playback system using the sameAnd recording / playback methodAbout.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, even if a device is mounted on a display device such as a liquid crystal display monitor for the purpose other than outputting a PC screen, the device has not been used simultaneously on the PC and the display device. However, if a device that can be used independently from both the PC and the display device is installed on the display device side, the PC and the display device may use the TV tuner at the same time, such as when viewing the recorded program during recording. Conceivable.
[0003]
As a technique related to sharing such a TV tuner between a PC and a display device, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 8-340500 has been proposed, which is for sharing a power source between a computer and a TV tuner built in the computer. It is.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the above conventional configuration, when a device such as a TV tuner built in the display device can also be used from the PC, the TV tuner is already used on the display device side even if the TV tuner is used on a different channel from the PC. If it cannot be shared with the PC side, it cannot be used from the PC side. In such a case, if the TV tuner is forcibly used from the PC side, a malfunction occurs in the display device used so far.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and a display device capable of preventing malfunction when a device is used with a PC, and a recording / reproducing system using the same. And recording / playback methodThe purpose is to provide.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The display device of the present invention detects a data communication means that enables data communication with an information device and an operation state of the device in a display device that includes a device that can be used independently of the information device. It comprises an operation state detection means and a use restriction means for detecting the use of the device when the device is used and restricting the use of the device according to the detection result of the operation state. Achieved. This use restricting means is used when one of the devices is using the device except when the information device and the display device can use the device at the same time (for example, when displaying the recorded TV signal at the time of recording). The other restricts the use of the device.
[0007]
With this configuration, when an information device or a display device uses a device, this is detected to detect the operation state of the device, and the use of the device is restricted according to the detection result of the operation state. Even if the use of the device competes with the display device, the use of the device by the information equipment or the display device that has been used later is restricted, and the malfunction caused thereby is prevented.
[0008]
Preferably, the operation state detection means in the display device of the present invention detects at least one of the state contents of the power supply state and use state of the device as the operation state. This operating state includes, for example, a power-on state and a power-off state of the device, a usage state from the information device, a usage state from the display device, and the like.
[0009]
With this configuration, as an operating state, it is checked whether or not power is supplied to the device. When the power is not supplied to the device, malfunction occurs on the information equipment or the display device side that uses the device. In addition, even if power is supplied to the device, if the display device uses the device, if the device is used from the information equipment side without permission, a malfunction occurs on the display device side. On the contrary, when the information device uses the device, if the display device uses the device, a malfunction occurs on the information device side. As described above, when the use of the device competes, if the use of the device by the information device or the display device that has been used later is restricted, the malfunction due to the use conflict is prevented.
[0010]
Further preferably, in the display device of the present invention, when the operation state detection means detects that the power is turned off, the power supply control means for controlling the power supply of the device to the on state, and then the operation state detection means is the power supply. And a first use restriction releasing means for releasing the use restriction of the device when it is detected that the device is in the on state.
[0011]
With this configuration, when the device can also be used from an information device, it is possible to turn on the power in the device in the display device from the outside, and malfunction due to the fact that the device is not turned on is prevented.
[0012]
Further preferably, the display device according to the present invention further includes an operation state transmission control unit that controls transmission of the operation state information detected by the operation state detection unit via the data communication unit.
[0013]
With this configuration, since the operation state information of the device on the display device side can be obtained on the information device side, it is possible to take a use restriction measure on the information device side.
[0014]
Further preferably, in the display device according to the present invention, any one of a second usage restriction releasing unit for releasing the usage restriction of the device, a usage restriction operation for the device, and a usage restriction releasing operation by the second usage restriction releasing unit is selected. 【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, when an information device or a display device uses a device, this is detected to detect the operation state of the device, and the device is used according to the detection result of the operation state. Therefore, even if the use of the device competes between the information device and the display device, the use of the device by the information device or the display device that has been used later is restricted, thereby preventing a malfunction. .
[0110]
Further, as an operating state, it is checked whether or not power is supplied to the device. If the power is not supplied to the device, malfunction occurs on the information equipment or the display device side that uses the device. In addition, even if power is supplied to the device, if the display device uses the device, if the device is used from the information equipment side without permission, a malfunction occurs on the display device side. On the contrary, when the information device uses the device, if the display device uses the device, a malfunction occurs on the information device side. As described above, when the use of the device competes, if the use of the device by the information apparatus or the display device that has been used later is restricted, the malfunction due to the use competition can be prevented.
[0111]
Furthermore, when the device can also be used from information equipment, it is possible to power on the device in the display device from the outside, and it is possible to prevent malfunction due to the fact that the device is not powered on.
[0112]
Furthermore, since the operation state information of the device on the display device side can be obtained on the information equipment side, it is possible to take a use restriction measure on the information equipment side.
[0113]
Furthermore, it is possible to give the user the right to select which of the information device and the display device the right to use the device has for the convenience of the user.
[0114]
Furthermore, since it takes time to monitor the operation status of the device when the operation status detection is necessary, the operation status detection means always detects the operation status and stores it in the operation status storage means. If the operation state is stored and referred to, the use restriction speed of the use restriction means is fast and accurate, and the use restriction control can be made more efficient.
[0115]
Furthermore, since the device is built in the display device, the power source of the display device and the power source of the device are often linked. In this case, if the display device is turned off while the information device is using the device, the information device will malfunction, but the information device will turn off the device when the display device turns off. If it is used, it is possible to prevent the information device from malfunctioning by restricting the power-off.
[0116]
Furthermore, since the convenience of the user may be impaired depending on the usage status of the device, it is possible to provide the user with a right to select whether to forcibly turn off the power, thereby providing convenience to the user. it can.
[0117]
Further, for example, when the TV reception signal from the TV reception means is displayed on the display screen and the TV reception signal is image-compressed for recording, the TV reception means is an information device and a display device. When one of the information device and the display device instructed to change the setting of the device without permission, the setting change is restricted so that the other does not malfunction. can do.
[0118]
Furthermore, the user can be given a selection right to forcibly change the setting of the device, and the convenience of the user can be improved.
[0119]
Further, when an information device or a display device uses a device in the display device for recording, the device is detected to detect the operation state of the device in the same manner as described above, and the device is detected according to the detection result. Therefore, even if the use of the device competes with the information equipment, the use of the device by the information equipment or the display device that has been used later is restricted, thereby preventing a malfunction.
