【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、例えば、ポメラニアン・コーギー・ビーグル・柴犬・シェルティ等の小型・中型のペット犬、また、猫・ハムスター・ウサギ等の小動物を入れて運搬するための折畳式ペットキャリーボックスに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来より、犬・猫等の動物を入れて運搬するペットキャリーボックスとして、種々のものが提案されている。このペットキャリーボックスには、全体を構成する部材毎に折り畳みできるものと、折り畳みできないものとがある。

折り畳みできないタイプとしては、例えば、金属線材を格子状に組んだ部材によりボックスの天井と周壁を構成し、これを所定の床部に連結固定したもの等がある。

一方、折り畳みできるタイプとしては、例えば、金属線材を格子状に組んだ部材を５枚（天井１枚・周壁４枚）用意し、この部材を連結してボックスの天井と周壁を構成し、これを所定の床部に設置するもの等がある。また、周壁を構成する４枚の部材が床部に連結されており、ボックスを使用しないときは、夫々の部材を床部上に傾倒できるもの等もある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、従来の折り畳みできないタイプのペットキャリーボックスは、使用していないときも完成したままの幅・高さを有する立体形状が保持されるため、嵩張ってしまい、広い設置スペース・収納スペースが必要であった。また、全体が嵩張るため、使用していないときの持ち運びも非常に不便であった。

一方、折り畳みできるタイプのペットキャリーボックスは、使用する際に各部材を工具等を用いて連結しなければならないため、その組み立て作業が非常に面倒であった。また、組み立ての際に、周壁を構成する部材が不用意に床部側に傾倒したり、天井部が落下してしまう虞れがあった。

そこで本発明は、叙上のような従来存した問題点に鑑み創案されたもので、誰もが簡単に組み立てたり折り畳むことができ、しかも、折り畳んだ際には全体が非常にコンパクトになり、収納し易く、持ち運びも容易な折畳式ペットキャリーボックスを提供することを目的としたものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
このため、本発明にあっては、天井部と床部とを、折曲部を介して内向きに折り畳み可能な一対の側壁部により連結し、天井部は、天井部の下面側から鉛直下向きに揺動する扉を備え、床部は、床部の上面側から鉛直上向きに揺動する扉を備えた折畳式ペットキャリーボックスであって、
天井部の下面側に、前記鉛直下向きに揺動する扉を固定する係止手段を備え、
係止手段は、横方向に伸縮可能なシャフトを備えた圧縮解放式ロック機構を扉に取り付け、天井部の下面側に、伸びた状態におけるシャフトの先端を係架保持する係架用リブを設けて形成され、
さらに側壁部の内向きの折り畳みによって重なり合った天井部と床部の縁部同士を連結固定する係合手段を備え、
係合手段は、天井部または床部に設けた引き上げ・押し下げ可能なバックルと、床部または天井部に設けた係架部とから成り、
天井部を持ち上げて内向きに折り畳まれた一対の側壁部を直線状態にした際、上方または下方の側壁部に、バックルを入れる収納凹部、およびバックルのがたつきを防止する係止片を設けたことで、上述した課題を解決した。

前記第１の扉の下端に取り付けられ、横方向に伸縮可能なシャフトの先端を係架用リブに嵌め入れて係架保持することにより、折り畳み状態では、前記第１の扉を前記第１の収納スペースに収納して天井部の下面側に固定し、組み立てた状態では、前記第１の扉の下端を前記床部に固定してボックスの開口部を閉塞する第１の圧縮解放式ロック機構と、
前記第２の扉の上端に取り付けられ、横方向に伸縮可能なシャフトの先端を係架用リブに嵌め入れて係架保持することにより、折り畳み状態では、前記第２の扉を前記第２の収納スペースに収納して床部の上面側に固定し、組み立てた状態では、前記第２の扉の上端を前記天井部に固定してボックスの開口部を閉塞する第２の圧縮解放式ロック機構とを設けたことで、同じく上述した問題を解決した。

さらに、側壁部の内向きの折り畳みによって重なり合った天井部と床部の縁部同士を連結固定する係合手段を備えたことで、同じく上述した問題を解決した。

本発明に係る折畳式ペットキャリーボックスにおいては、天井部を持ち上げて床部と天井部を離すことにより、内向きに折り畳まれている側壁部が、自然に直線状に立ち上がる。

そして、ボックスの前後に位置する夫々の開口部は、天井部または床部に取り付けた扉により閉塞する。この扉が天井部に取り付けられているときは、天井部を持ち上げた状態で、天井部の下面側から鉛直下向きに扉を揺動させ、開口部を閉塞する。また、扉が床部に取り付けられているときは、天井部を持ち上げた状態で、床部の上面側から鉛直上向きに扉を揺動させ、開口部を閉塞する。

一方、天井部の下面側には、扉を固定する係止手段として圧縮解放式ロック機構を備えているため、天井部を持ち上げて床部と天井部を離した際、天井部に取り付けた扉が不用意に揺動落下することがない。

この他、天井部は、例えば１枚の扉と、折曲部より上方に位置する両側壁部とを受け入れるのに充分な幅方向・厚み方向の収納スペースを有し、床部も、１枚の扉と、折曲部より下方に位置する両側壁とを受け入れるのに充分な幅方向・厚み方向の収納スペースを有するため、側壁部を内向きに折り畳んで天井部と床部を重ね合わせた際に、天井部内・床部内において、扉や一対の側壁部がぶつかり合うことがない。

そして、側壁部が内向きに折り畳まれて天井部と床部が重なり合った状態において、各扉と側壁部とが天井部と床部内に納まるため、非常にコンパクトで見栄えの良い折畳状態となる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面を参照して本発明の一実施の形態を説明する。本発明に係る折畳式ペットキャリーボックス１は、図１乃至図３に示すように、吊り下げ用のハンドルＧを備えた略矩形皿状の天井部２と、天井部２と同様の略矩形皿状の床部３と、天井部２と床部３とを連結する一対の側壁部４とから構成されている。そして、天井部２と床部３と側壁部４とで、全体が所定の筒状に形成され、その前後に位置する開口部を、２枚の扉５，６により閉塞するものである。また、天井部２と床部３は、互いにその開口部が向き合うように配置されている。

天井部２と床部３を連結する側壁部４は、図２，図４に示すように、折曲部４Ｃを介して内向きに折り畳まれる上方の側壁板４Ａと下方の側壁板とから成る。そして、図６，図７に示すように、左右に対向するように配置した上方の側壁板４Ａ夫々の上端部を、天井部２の左右縁部の下面に、例えば筒孔部に連結棒材を挿入したヒンジ構造の折曲部８を介して連結している。そのため、上方の側壁板４Ａは、図８に示す鉛直下向きから、図６に示す天井部２の下面に重なり合う範囲内において自在に揺動する。

同様に、図６，図７に示すように、左右に対向するように配置した下方の側壁板４Ｂ夫々の下端部を、床部３の左右縁部の上面に、例えば筒孔部に連結棒材を挿入したヒンジ構造の折曲部８を介して連結している。そのため、下側の側壁板４Ｂは、図８に示す鉛直上向きから、図６に示す床部３の上面に重なり合う範囲内において自在に揺動する。

この様にして、天井部２，床部３に取り付けられた上方の側壁板４Ａと下方の側壁板４Ｂを、図７に示すように、例えば筒孔部に連結棒材を挿入したヒンジ構造の折曲部４Ｃを介して連結している。そのため、上方の側壁板４Ａと下方の側壁板４Ｂは、直線状に立ち上がった状態（図８参照）からボックスの内側へ折り畳まれて（図７参照）、両側壁板４Ａ，４Ｂが重なる（図参照６）範囲内において自在に揺動するものである。

天井部２と床部３と側壁部４とで構成される折畳式ペットキャリーボックス１の開口部は、図３，図４に示すように、扉５，６により夫々閉塞される。一方の扉５は、図７，図１２に示すように、天井部２の開口縁部に、ヒンジ部７を介してケージ状の扉５の上端が連結されている。そのため、扉５は、図３に示すように、天井部２の下面側の退避収納位置から鉛直下向きに揺動し、一方の開口部を閉塞するのである。そして、開口部を閉塞した状態において、扉５の下端を床部３に固定するため、扉５の下端側に、圧縮解放式ロック機構Ｌを設けている。この圧縮解放式ロック機構Ｌは、扉５の横方向へ伸縮可能なシャフト１１を備え、このシャフト１１の両端を、床部３の上面側における左右両端に対向するように形成したリブ部分に係架保持させて、扉５を固定するものである。

他方の扉６は、図３，図９に示すように、床部３の開口縁部に、ヒンジ部７を介してケージ状の扉６の下端が連結されている。そのため、扉６は、図２，図３に示すように、床部３の上面側の退避収納位置から鉛直上向きに揺動し、その開口部を閉塞するのである。そして、開口部を閉塞した状態において、扉６の上端を天井部２に固定するため、図４，図１０に示すように、扉６の上端側に、圧縮解放式ロック機構Ｌを設けている。この圧縮解放式ロック機構Ｌも、図９，図１０に示すように、扉６の横方向へ伸縮可能なシャフト１１を備え、このシャフト１１の両端を、天井部２の下面側における左右両端に対向するように形成したリブ部分に係架保持させて、扉６を固定するものである。

また、扉６は、開口部を閉塞した状態において、ペットの出入りを可能にするために、図１０に示すように、開閉自在な内扉１３を備えている。この内扉１３は、その一側部が扉６に回動可能に取り付けられており、内扉１３の縦方向へ伸縮可能なシャフトを備えた圧縮解放式ロック機構Ｌを設けている。

尚、図に示す折畳式ペットキャリーボックス１は、天井部２に鉛直下向きに揺動する扉５を取り付け、床部３に鉛直上向きに揺動する扉６を取り付けているが、これに限定されることはない。例えば、開口部を閉塞する２枚の扉５，６を、いずれも天井部２に取り付けてもよい。また、２枚の扉５，６を、いずれも床部３に取り付けてもよい。

この他、本発明に係る折畳式ペットキャリーボックスは、側壁板４Ａ，４Ｂの内向きの折り畳みによって重なり合った天井部２と床部３の縁部同士を連結するため、図１，図５に示すように、バックル構造の係合手段２１を備えている。この係合手段２１は、天井部２の両長手方向中央部に形成した引き上げ、押し下げ可能なバックル２２と、このバックル２２を係合させるよう、床部３の両長手方向中央部に設けた係架部２３とにより構成されている。

また、図９に示すように、上下両側壁板４Ａ，４Ｂを直線状態となるように組み上げた際に、バックル２２を押し倒して係架状に収納するために、上方に位置する側壁板４Ａの上端部に、フック構造の収納凹部４１を備えている。さらに、天井部２を持ち上げて内向きに折り畳まれた一対の側壁板４Ａ，４Ｂを直線状態にした際、バックル２２のがたつきを防止する係止片を設けておくと好ましいものとなる。

加えて、図１２に示すように、床部３下面の四隅に嵌込孔を設け、この嵌込孔にディスク状のゴム脚部５１を取り付けている。また、このゴム脚部５１の代わりに、図１０に示すように、キャスター５２を取り付けてもよい。

折畳式ペットキャリーボックス１を構成する部材の具体的な材質は、例えば、ＰＰ，ＡＢＳ等の軽量且つ頑丈な合成樹脂製材を用いる。線材は、主として鉄製のものを使用する。ボックス全体の耐荷重としては、例えば、コーギー・ビーグル・柴犬・シェルティ等の２０ｋｇ未満の中型犬までを対応可能なものとしている。また、ボックスの具体的なサイズとしては、例えば、組立時の外寸が幅４０．３×奥行６８．６×高さ４７．８ｃｍであり、組立時の内寸が幅３８．０×奥行６３．０×高さ４４．０ｃｍとなる。この場合、折畳時が幅４０．３×奥行６７．０×高さ１４．５ｃｍとコンパクトなサイズになる。

そして、図１２に示すように、天井部２は、側壁板４Ａ，４Ｂが内向きに折り畳まれた際、扉５と、折曲部４Ｃより上方の側壁板４Ａを受け入れるよう、天井部２の下面側には収納スペースＰ１を備えている。同様に、床部３は、扉６と、折曲部４Ｃより下方の側壁板４Ｂを受け入れるよう、床部３の上面側に収納スペースＰ２を備えている。この収納スペースＰ１，Ｐ２は、重なり合った天井部２と床部３相互の厚み相当分の範囲内において形成されており、しかも重なり合った天井部２と床部３の内側に、扉５，６と側壁板４Ａ，４Ｂが隠蔽配置されるように形成されている。

さらに、本発明に係る折畳式ペットキャリーボックス１は、図１１に示すように、上下の側壁板４Ａ，４Ｂを折曲部４Ｃを介して直線状態となるように組み上げた際に、天井部２の下面側に揺動可能に取り付けた扉５が不用意に揺動落下する事態を防止するための係止手段Ｑを備えている。この係止手段Ｑは、扉５に取り付けた、横方向に伸縮可能なシャフト１１を備えた圧縮解放式ロック機構Ｌと、天井部２の下面側における左右両端に対向するように形成した、例えば筒孔状の係架用リブ１２により構成される。この係架用リブ１２は、圧縮解放式ロック機構Ｌの伸びた状態におけるシャフト１１の先端を係架保持させるものである。

次に、本発明に係る折畳式ペットキャリーボックス１の使用の一例を説明する。まず、図１に示すように、側壁板４Ａ，４Ｂが内向きに折り畳まれて天井部２と床部３が重なり合った状態において、バックル２２を上方に引き上げる。そして、図２，図８に示すように、天井部２のハンドルＧを手で持って吊り上げることにより、上方・下方の側壁板４Ａ，４Ｂが折曲部４Ｃを介して直線状態となるように側壁部４を組み上げる。次に、扉６の上部に設けた圧縮解放式ロック機構Ｌのロック部分を、シャフト１１が収縮される方向に押圧しながら扉６自体を鉛直上向きに引き起こす。そして、開口縁部に設けたリブ部分にシャフト１１を嵌め入れてからロック部分を解放することで、開口部が扉６によって閉塞固定される。

一方、扉５は、天井部２の下面側に固定されているため、扉５の下部に設けた圧縮解放式ロック機構Ｌのロック部分を、シャフト１１が収縮される方向に押圧しながら鉛直下向きに引き下げる。そして、開口縁部に設けたリブ部分にシャフト１１を嵌め入れてからロック部分を解放することで、開口部が扉５によって閉塞固定される。

最後に、図４に示すように、バックル２２を下側に押し倒して収納凹部４１内に入れる。そして、ペットを出入りさせるときは、扉６に取り付けた内扉１３を開閉させる。

【発明の効果】
本発明に係る折畳式ペットキャリーボックス１は、天井部２と床部３とを、折曲部４Ｃを介して内向きに折り畳み可能な一対の側壁部４により連結しているため、天井部２を持ち上げて床部３と天井部２を離すという簡単な動作により、側壁部４を直線状に立ち上げ、ペットを収容できるボックスを立体的に組み上げることができる。この際、天井部２は、鉛直下向きに揺動する扉５を少なくとも１枚備えているため、天井部２の下面側から扉５を引き落ろして、ボックスの開口部を確実に閉塞できる。

また、天井部２は、天井部２の下面側から鉛直下向きに揺動する扉５を備え、床部３は、床部３の上面側から鉛直上向きに揺動する扉６を備えているときは、ボックスの開口部を、扉５，６により確実に閉塞できる。

さらに、天井部２は、鉛直下向きに揺動する２枚の扉５を備えているときは、天井部２の下面側から２枚の扉５を引き落ろして、ボックスの開口部を誰もが簡単に閉塞できる。

また、床部３は、床部３の上面側から鉛直上向きに揺動する２枚の扉６を備えているときは、床部３の上面側から２枚の扉６を引き上げて、ボックスの開口部を即座に閉塞できる。

加えて、天井部２の下面側に扉５を固定する係止手段Ｑを備えているため、天井部２を持ち上げて側壁部４を直線状に立ち上げた際、天井部２の下面側から扉５が不用意に揺動落下する事態を確実に防止できる。

また、床部３の上面側に扉６を固定する係止手段Ｑを設けたときは、床部３における扉６のがたつきを確実に防止できる。

さらに、係止手段Ｑは、横方向に伸縮可能なシャフト１１を備えた圧縮解放式ロック機構Ｌを扉５に取り付け、天井部２の下面側に、伸びた状態におけるシャフト１１の先端を係架保持する係架用リブ１２を設けて形成されているため、シャフト１１の先端を係架用リブ１２に係架保持させて、扉５の不用意な揺動落下を阻止している。また、係架用リブ１２からシャフト１１を離せば、扉５の揺動が即座に可能となる。

一方、天井部２は、少なくとも１枚の扉５と、折曲部４Ｃより上方に位置する両側壁部（４Ａ）とを受け入れる収納スペースＰ１を備えているため、折曲部４Ｃを介して側壁部４を内向きに折り畳んだ際、天井部２内に扉と折曲部４Ｃより上方に位置する側壁部（４Ａ）が収納されて、コンパクトな折り畳み状態を実現している。

さらに、天井部２は、２枚の扉５と、折曲部４Ｃより上方に位置する両側壁部（４Ａ）とを受け入れる収納スペースＰ１を備えたときは、天井部２内に２枚の扉５と側壁部（４Ａ）を収納して、全体をコンパクトに折り畳むことができる。
