内側に開口が形成されてなるとともに内周には一方の掛合部が成形された受枠と、この受枠に形成された開口を閉塞し、バールの先端が挿入されるバール穴が形成されてなるとともに、裏面には左右一対の軸受部が形成されたマンホール用鉄蓋とを施錠するマンホール用鉄蓋の施錠装置であって、
上記受枠に形成された一方の掛合部に掛合する他方の掛合部と、上記鉄蓋の軸受部に支承される左右の揺動軸と、これら左右の揺動軸の長さ方向と直角な方向に形成されたガイド穴と、を有する錠本体と、
上記ガイド穴内で上下移動自在に配置されてなる中空軸部と、この中空軸部の上端に形成され上記バール穴を下方から閉塞する閉塞蓋部とを有する閉塞部材と、
この閉塞部材の上記中空軸部内に挿入され、該閉塞部材の閉塞蓋部が上記鉄蓋のバール穴を閉塞する方向に付勢する閉塞蓋付勢部材と、を備え、
上記ガイド穴は、上記他方の掛合部の先端よりも上方位置から該他方の掛合部の基端近傍位置に亘る長さとされてなることを特徴とするマンホール用鉄蓋の施錠装置。
