一端側に作業部、他端側に握持部を備えるアーム一対が連結軸によって開閉自在に交差連結された開閉工具において、
前記握持部のそれぞれの後端部に、前記アームを開方向に付勢する屈曲弾性体の両端部が内外反転自在に取り付けられているとともに、該屈曲弾性体に、係脱自在であって係合状態にあるときには前記開方向への付勢力を抑止する係止手段を設けたことを特徴とする開閉工具。
