Conventionally, the light irradiator has been for curing the filler after the treatment of caries. In addition, the light irradiator is also used as an oral sterilization treatment for periodontal diseases and the like.

As such a light irradiator, those having a structure as shown in JP-A-2000-70292 (Patent Document 1) and JP-A-2001-114658 (Patent Document 2) are known.

That is, in the dental light irradiation apparatus described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-70292, the light irradiator has a mouthpiece type in which the entire tooth row is inserted, and a chip-type LED unit is formed on the inner wall of the recess. Arrange along the row, embed a controller that controls the irradiation time and interval inside the mouthpiece, provide a switch group to specify the irradiation area outside the front, and occlude the mouthpiece with the upper and lower teeth And what is comprised so that the predetermined switch of a switch group may be pressed is described.

In this apparatus, the wavelength of the generated light of the LED used is 500 nm or less, particularly 450 nm to 390 nm or less. This takes into account the hardening of the filling resin on the teeth. Moreover, although the infrared wavelength of LED can also be used in the modified example, the actual wavelength value is not described.

Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2001-114658 discloses a preparation used by applying light of a predetermined wavelength while brushing by applying to the tooth surface, interdental space and / or periodontal portion. And a toothbrush characterized by containing a titanium oxide coated with a calcium phosphate compound, and a toothbrush in which an LED or an optical fiber is installed between the brushes so that light can be emitted from between the brushes.

In addition, as described above, many of the light irradiators are intended for tooth irradiation, but most people who have dentures do not have their own teeth.
Furthermore, a person who has a denture or a person who is creating a denture has poor meshing with the denture, and the denture often hits the gums and causes inflammation, and treatment is necessary. There has not been proposed a light irradiator that considers the treatment of gingival inflammation in patients without such teeth. Further, as described above, the irradiation wavelength often uses the ultraviolet region.
As described above, it is troublesome for a person using a denture to go to the dental clinic each time the denture hits the gingiva and is inflamed.

An embodiment of an intraoral light irradiator for treatment of gingival inflammation of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 illustrates a toothbrush-shaped intraoral light irradiator as an intraoral light irradiator for treatment of gingival inflammation of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 1, the intraoral light irradiator for treatment of gingival inflammation of the present invention comprises an affected part irradiation part A, an affected part irradiation part support part B, and an irradiation drive part C connected to each other.

Affected area irradiated portion A column consisting of multiple several semiconductor light emitting device (LED) 3 is arranged in a plurality of rows parallel to one or both sides of the substrate 2 of the flexibility that interconnect the conductive paths 1, throughout thereon, A flexible and translucent resin 4 is applied and sandwiched from both sides.

At this time, the substrate 2 can be formed in a square or circular shape in addition to a rectangular shape, with the size being the size of the head portion of the toothbrush.

Further, as the semiconductor light emitting element (LED) 3, a light emitting element that generates light having a wavelength in the infrared region, for example, 1064 nm, 920 to 960 nm, 830 to 890 nm, and preferably 830 to 890 nm is used. The reason why an infrared ray having a wavelength in the range of 830 nm to 890 nm is preferable is that the optimum wavelength for warming the affected area and exerting the biostimulation healing effect is in this range.

As shown in FIG. 1, an affected area irradiation part supporting part B is connected and fixed behind the affected area irradiation part A. This affected part irradiation part support part B inserts a conducting wire (not shown) inside, and connects and drives the irradiation drive part C behind it.

The irradiation drive unit C includes a switch 5 for turning on / off the light emission of the semiconductor light emitting element (LED) 3 provided in the affected part irradiation unit A, a timer 6 for adjusting the light emission time, and a power source 7.

The timer 6 adjusts the infrared irradiation time so that the infrared irradiation is not performed for a long time.
The effect of infrared irradiation is appropriate up to about 15 minutes, and longer irradiation is not preferable because damage to the gingiva increases.

As the power source 7, either a DC power source (dry battery or rechargeable battery) or an AC power source (with a converter) can be used.

According to the present invention, by setting the intraoral light irradiator in the shape of a toothbrush, the inflammatory site in the oral cavity can be irradiated intensively, and it can also be used for the treatment of stomatitis that forms in the oral mucosa.

Further, the affected part irradiation part A can be suitably fitted to the gingival shape and the oral mucosa by providing flexibility.
Further, by arranging the LEDs 3 on both sides of the flexible substrate of the affected part irradiation part A, there is an advantage that both upper and lower treatments can be performed simultaneously by one irradiation.

As shown in FIG. 2, the intraoral light irradiator for treating gingival inflammation in this example is the same as that in Example 1 except that the affected area irradiation part A is V-shaped or open U-shaped. The same parts are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description thereof is omitted.
The intraoral light irradiator for treatment of gingival inflammation of this example is particularly suitable for irradiating a partially dentured gum.

FIGS. 3a and 3b show an enlarged perspective view of the affected area irradiation part A and a cross-sectional view taken along the line I-I in the above-described two examples, respectively.

As is apparent from the drawing, the substrate 2 having the conductive path 1 and the LED 3 provided thereon are covered with a transparent resin 4 and are entirely mounted on and fixed to the upper side of the support 8. To do. Therefore, even if it puts in the oral cavity, it does not give a wound or a pain.

In the example of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 3b, the conductive path 1 to the lower side of the support 8, provided like the place described above the substrate 2, LED 3, therefore, provided on both sides of the support 8 maxillary Both gums and lower gums can be treated simultaneously.

Moreover, although LED3 was provided in the both sides of the board | substrate 2 in drawing, it cannot be overemphasized that LED3 can be provided only in the one side of the board | substrate 2. FIG.

In this example, the intraoral light irradiator has a semi-elliptical shape. FIG. 4a shows an upper jaw light irradiator (Ta), and FIG. 4b shows a lower jaw light irradiator (Tb). In particular, the upper jaw light irradiator (Ta) spreads the LED 3 not only on the gum contact portion but also on the upper lid contact portion, so that inflammation of the gum and upper lid can be alleviated or treated. These LEDs 3 can also be provided with electrical wiring and a switch and a power source in the same manner as described for the toothbrush shape of the above embodiment, but this is not shown in detail in this example for the sake of convenience. However, these are provided, for example, in the gripping portion of FIGS. 4a and 4b so that they can function in the same manner as the irradiation drive portion C.
In order to perform treatment by irradiating the upper jaw or the lower jaw at a time, it is effective to make the affected part irradiation part of the light irradiator semi-elliptical (tray shape).

Moreover, when the intraoral light irradiator for treatment of gingival inflammation is used for about 15 minutes, saliva is secreted, and the secretion of the saliva may reduce the efficacy of infrared rays. In order to prevent this, it is effective to provide a saliva suction device on the semi-elliptical tray. Such an example is shown in FIG.

In this example, as shown in FIGS. 5a and 5b, an upper jaw semi-elliptical tray Ta and a lower jaw semi-elliptical tray Tb in which LEDs 3 (not shown) are embedded are provided, and these trays Ta and Tb are made of rubber or It is connected to a vacuum device 11 through a resin hose 10. The vacuum device 11 is equipped with a vacuum tank (not shown), a power source (not shown), and an infrared light generator (not shown) inside, and a continuous light-pulse light generation switch 12 on the upper side, irradiation A timer 13 for adjusting time, a power switch 14 and a hose connection port 15 are provided.

The upper semi-elliptical tray Ta and the lower semi-elliptical tray Tb are provided with saliva outlets 16a and 16b, respectively. The trays Ta and Tb are provided with a plurality of saliva suction holes 17a and 17b, respectively.

By providing the saliva suction device having such a configuration, it is possible to prevent the effectiveness of infrared rays from being lowered due to the secretion of saliva.

Furthermore, according to the present invention, two types of LEDs, an element that generates light having a wavelength in the infrared region and an element that generates light having a wavelength in the ultraviolet region, are provided as the LEDs to be used. Of course, it is possible to simultaneously emit light by the same other switch, and to simultaneously emit light from the ultraviolet ray generating elements by the same switch, for example, to sterilize with ultraviolet rays and then to perform infrared thermotherapy.
