Description

The present invention relates to an Aspergillus oryzae gathering pheromone, an Aspergillus oryzae attractant and a pheromone trap containing the pheromone.

Platypus quercivorus (Murayama) is a long-horned beetle pest that invades and damages the trunks of beech trees such as Mizunara and Quercus. Since the oak beetle mediates phytopathogenic fungi, most of the trees, such as mizunara, that have undergone intensive penetration of the oak beetle are dead. The main area that suffers withering is the Sea of Japan side, but damage has also occurred in the Kii and Osumi peninsulas.

However, the damage caused by the death of beech family trees due to the penetration of the Platypus quercivorus spreads rapidly as a single tree and ends after 5 to 6 years. In the meantime, the oak beetle, whose population density has increased, disperses in the surrounding forests one after another, causing death in neighboring areas.

As the Platypus quercivorus lives in the trunk canal for most of its lifetime, it is very difficult to control adults and larvae of the Platypus quercivorus in the canal by spraying ordinary pesticides. A method of preventing the penetration of Platypus quercivorus by wrapping a vinyl sheet around a tree trunk and a method of drilling a tree and injecting pesticides into the drill hole have been devised. Such a control method is dangerous in a steeply damaged area, and it is difficult to say that it is effective in the present situation where the damaged area is increasing. In order to effectively control the Platypus quercivorus, means for accurately knowing its occurrence and a new type of control method different from conventional insecticides are strongly desired.

A method using a pheromone trap is known as one of the methods for confirming the occurrence area of pests and predicting the time of control, but there is no knowledge about the collected pheromones and attractants of Platypus quercivorus, investigation of the occurrence of Platypus quercivorus, etc. There are no known pheromone traps available.

The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide an oak beetle gathering pheromone, an oak beetle attractant, and a pheromone trap that are effective for grasping or capturing the occurrence of oak beetle.

Through extensive research to solve the above-mentioned problems, it is possible to collect the volatile components (mixture of wood chips and excrement) volatile components discharged from the borehole by the solid-phase microextraction method or extract by solvent extraction. The material was analyzed with a gas chromatography mass spectrometer. In parallel, we conducted a laboratory bioassay using the antennae of the adult beetle, and identified the substance that induces action potential, and estimated the chemical structure along with the results of the gas chromatography mass spectrometer. The present inventors have found that this cyclohexene derivative is effective as a pheromone of Platypus quercivorus, and has completed the present invention.
