本発明はフロアマット、特に、周縁部における立ち上がり部分が変形しにくい自動車用のフロアマットに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来から、自動車内において、靴などに付着した土、砂、泥、或いは砂利などがフロアに付着してフロアが汚れるのを防止するために、フロアマットを敷いている。

このフロアマットは自動車の種類によって異なっており、例えば、最近流行りのRV車においては、周縁部が立ち上がったトレイ状のマット(いわゆるバケットマット)が好適に使用されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、このようなバケットマットにおいては、バケットマットの周縁部における立ち上がり部分、特に直線部分が変形しやすいという問題点があった。特に、バケットマットが軽量化及びリサイクル性に優れているように、熱可塑性エラストマーから形成されている場合には、前記立ち上がり部分が変形しやすいものであった。さらに、夏場において自動車内の気温が上昇すると、立ち上がり部分が一層変形しやすいという問題点があった。

そこで本発明は、このような従来の問題点を解決するためになされたもので、周縁部における立ち上がり部分が変形しにくいフロアマットを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の請求項1に係る発明は、フロアに敷かれる平坦部と、この平坦部の周縁部の少なくとも一部が前記平坦部から立ち上がって形成された立ち上がり部とを有するフロアマットであって、このフロアマットの敷設面側に、前記平坦部から前記立ち上がり部に架かる補強用突起を備えており、前記立ち上がり部上および前記平坦部上に存在しているとともに、前記平坦部上において敷設面側へ突出していることを特徴とするフロアマットである。

請求項2に係る発明は、フロアマットが熱可塑性エラストマーからなることを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1は本発明の一実施形態によるフロアマットを敷設面側から示す平面図、図2は図1のフロアマットを敷設面の反対面から示す平面図、図3は図1のフロアマットを敷設面側から示す斜視図、図4は図1のフロアマットを敷設面側から示す部分拡大斜視図、図5はフロアマットの立ち上がり部を示す部分拡大断面図、図6はフロアマットの敷設面側に設けられた補強用突起の概略斜視図、図7はフロアマットの敷設面側に設けられた補強用突起の概略側面図である。

これらの図において、フロアマット1は、自動車等のフロアに敷かれる平坦部2と、フロアの形状に適合するように、この平坦部2の周縁部が立ち上がって形成された立ち上がり部3とを有する。また、フロアマット1の敷設面側には、平坦部2から立ち上がり部3に架けて、立ち上がり部3の変形を防止する補強用突起4が設けられている。さらに、フロアマット1の敷設面とは反対面に、繊維シート5を備えている。このようなフロアマット1は、いわゆるバケットマットとして好適に使用できる。

補強用突起4の大きさとしては、図6に示すように、補強用突起4の高さAは1〜3.5mm、補強用突起4の幅Bは1〜3.5mmであり、図7に示すように、補強用突起4の敷設面における長さCは10〜15mm、補強用突起4の敷設面における直線部分3aから外側の長さDは2〜7mm、傾斜角度θは0〜10゜であるのが好ましい。

この補強用突起4は、フロアマット1の立ち上がり部3の変形抑制効果に加えて、フロアマット1を自動洗浄しやすいように、また周縁部を後述するように、オーバーロック加工する場合(いずれの場合も平面的になった方が好都合)には、ある程度変形した方が好ましいため、上述の大きさに形成するのが好ましい。また、上述のような大きさ、形であることによって、安定して製造することができる。例えば、傾斜角度θがあることによって、金型から補強用突起4が剥離し易くなる。さらに、補強用突起4は、立ち上がり部3の直線部分3aに存在しているのが好ましい。立ち上がり部3のコーナー部分3bは、三方向から支持されていることによって、それだけで補強効果があるためである。

フロアマット1の構成材としては、例えば、熱可塑性樹脂(例えば、ポリ塩化ビニル、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体、ポリエチレンなど)、熱可塑性エラストマー(例えば、スチレン系熱可塑性エラストマー、ポリオレフィン系熱可塑性エラストマー、ポリ塩化ビニル系エラストマーなど)、熱硬化性樹脂(例えば、フェノール樹脂、ポリウレタン、不飽和ポリエステル樹脂など)、或いは天然又は合成ゴム(例えば、スチレン−ブタジエンゴム、ブタジエンゴム、イソプレンゴム、ニトリル−ブタジエンゴムなど)などを挙げることができる。これらの中でも、軽量かつリサイクルし易い熱可塑性エラストマーからなるのが好ましい。また、フロアマット1の構成材の硬度(ショアーA硬度)は、50〜90程度であるのが好ましく、65〜75程度であるのがより好ましい。

フロアマット1は、これらの構成材から従来法により作製することができ、敷設面側の平坦部2には、フロアとの滑りを防止する滑り止め防止用突起2aを設けることができる。なお、図5及び6に示すように、補強用突起4の高さAは、滑り止め防止用突起2aの高さと同じか、それよりも低いのが好ましい。また、補強用突起4から更に突出した突起4aを設けても良い。この突起4aは、滑り止め防止用突起2aとほぼ同じ高さであるか、それよりも高いのが好ましく、これにより、補強用突起4も滑り止めとしての役目も果たす。さらに、この突起4aを形成するのと同時に空気を抜くことができるため、成形性良くフロアマット1を製造できるという効果も奏する。

繊維シート5としては、例えば、タフテッドカーペット、ニードルパンチカーペット、緞通、フックカーペット、ウィルトンカーペット、アキスミンスターカーペットなどを挙げることができる。フロアマット1の敷設面とは反対面に、繊維シート5を設けることにより、装飾性に優れたフロアマット1が得られる。また、フロアマット1の周縁部1aにオーバーロック加工が施されているのが好ましく、繊維シート5端部の解れが防止され、繊維シート5がフロアマット1から剥離しにくく、装飾性を損なわないフロアマット1が得られる。

以上説明したように、請求項1の発明によれば、フロアマットの平坦部から立ち上がり部に架けて補強用突起を備えているので、この補強用突起によって立ち上がり部の変形を抑制することができるという効果を奏する。
