BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an improved coin sensor used in an apparatus for inspecting the authenticity of a coin. The present invention also relates to an apparatus for inspecting the authenticity of a coin, and more particularly, to a coin inspection apparatus used for a vending machine, a game machine, a money changer, and the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, the electronic type using an induction coil has been the mainstream of coin inspection devices. This type of coin inspection apparatus is provided with a coin passage for guiding coins inserted from a coin insertion slot using free fall of coins. A plurality of induction coils are arranged in the coin passage, and these induction coils are excited and driven by different frequencies to form an electromagnetic field in the coin passage. The coin inspection is based on a well-known principle. When a coin passes through each electromagnetic field formed by each induction coil, an electrical change amount (frequency change, obtained by the interaction between each electromagnetic field and the coin). The authenticity of the coin is inspected by detecting voltage change, phase change). As a coin inspection apparatus in the prior art, for example, one shown in US Pat. No. 3,870,137 is known. The conventional coin inspection apparatus utilizes the fact that the characteristics of a coin depend on a frequency parameter, and inspects the material, outer diameter, thickness, etc. of the coin by using a plurality of frequencies.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In recent years, traffic with foreign countries has become popular, and foreign coins have been brought into the country accordingly. Along with this, cases such as fraudulent acts in which those coins are mistaken or fraudulently tricked by those who try to cheat are increasing. In particular, there are many malicious mischiefs targeting vending machines installed in the cage. In a vending machine, a coin inspection device is usually installed. For example, a coin made by imitating a Japanese 100-yen coin or a 500-yen coin using foreign coins is inserted into the coin slot. There is no end to the vicious mischief that causes the coin return slot to issue a genuine coin by operating the return lever. The reason for this is that the representative coins (100 yen coins and modified coins made similar to this, and 500 yen coins and modified coins made like this) differ only in the coin surface design (uneven pattern). In the structure of the induction coil as in the prior art, since the material, outer diameter, and thickness are almost the same, the concave / convex pattern on the coin surface of 100-yen coins and 500-yen coins and their modified coins are used. By using only a plurality of frequencies, it is not possible to detect a slight change in the design, and it is not possible to discriminate between a genuine coin and a modified coin as described above. Therefore, conventionally, as a technique for discriminating the representative coin as described above, an optical method for image processing (pattern recognition / analysis) of an image on the coin surface has been tried. However, in an optical device, there is a problem that dust or the like adheres to an image sensor such as a CCD and impairs the authenticity determination of a coin. In addition, since an image pickup device such as a CCD and an advanced image analysis device are required, there is a problem that the device itself is not only large but also complicated and the device cost is high.
[0004]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object thereof is to provide a coin sensor capable of accurately detecting coins having different coin surface patterns. In addition, when inspecting the authenticity of a coin, an object of the present invention is to provide a coin inspection apparatus capable of accurately inspecting the authenticity of coins having different coin surface patterns.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The coin sensor according to the present invention guides an inserted coin. Inclined Placed near the coin path A magnetic core having a substantially T-shaped cross section and having a protruding portion; and a protruding portion of the magnetic core as a magnetic core and wound around the magnetic core. Generate a magnetic field in the coin passage For excitation for Coils, At least a magnetic path that is electromagnetically coupled to the exciting coil and guides a repulsive magnetic field generated near the coin surface of the coin across the magnetic field generated by the exciting coil to a magnetic detection element; A set of rod-shaped magnetic members, a through hole that passes through the protruding portion of the magnetic core, and the excitation coil that is wound around the protruding portion of the magnetic core that is inserted through the through hole. A first wiring for supplying an excitation signal to the coil; Excitation For When the inserted coin passes through the magnetic field generated in the coin passage by the coil. Follow the coin surface uneven pattern Detect signals in response to magnetic field changes At least one pair of magnets Qi detection element And a thin wiring member having a second wiring for transmitting a signal detected by the magnetic detection element; With The wiring member is configured such that each of the at least one pair of magnetic members is positioned at a position facing each other about the excitation coil wound around the projecting portion of the magnetic core, and each magnetic member The tip of the member can be arranged so as to maintain the same interval with respect to the coil passage wall surface. . According to this , Through In the narrow area of the roadside coin surface Correctly Apply a magnetic field In particular, it is possible to easily assemble and install a coin sensor that is most suitable for being arranged in the vicinity of an inclined coin passage so as to be able to accurately detect coins having different coin surface patterns. As a measure for this, a thin plate-like wiring member is provided that can arrange the exciting coil, the magnetic member, and the magnetic detection element in a predetermined relative positional relationship. Specifically, at least one set for detecting a signal corresponding to a magnetic field change according to a concave and convex pattern on a coin surface, and a through hole through which a protruding portion of a magnetic core around which an excitation coil is wound around a thin plate-like wiring member The at least one set of magnetic members can be arranged at positions facing each other about the excitation coil wound around the protruding portion of the magnetic core. Like that. In addition, the tip of each magnetic member can be arranged so as to maintain the same interval with respect to the coil passage wall surface. As a result, the magnetic field can be correctly applied to the narrow area of the coin surface on the aisle side, and when the coin passes through the coin passage, it is generated in the vicinity of the coin surface by the electromagnetic induction action by the exciting coil. It becomes possible to correctly detect a signal corresponding to a change in the repulsive magnetic field characterized by the pattern of the coin surface. That is, It is possible to generate eddy currents markedly depending on the coin surface pattern. The Due to the eddy current, a repulsive magnetic field characterized by the pattern of the coin surface can be remarkably generated near the coin surface. . When a coin passes through the magnetic field of the excitation coil, A set of rods Magnetic member is exciting coil And Den Magnetically coupled Teko The repulsive magnetic field generated near the in-surface At least one set Magnetic path to lead to each magnetic sensing element So each Magnetic detection element detects signals in response to changes in the repulsive magnetic field current caused by changes in the shape of the coin surface Easy to do Coins with different coin surface patterns can be detected with high accuracy It becomes like this. Further, the wiring member includes a first wiring for supplying an excitation signal to the coil for excitation and a second wiring for transmitting a signal detected by the magnetic detection element. It is possible to assemble the coin sensor as described above without performing a complicated wiring process. Book The coin sensor of the invention is capable of discriminating the minute unevenness on the coin surface, Magnetic field changes according to the uneven pattern on the coin surface detection To do Instead of using a receiving coil, a magnetic detection element (magnetic detection circuit) Using Configuration of coin sensor Toss The receiving coil For Compared to the conventional coin sensor with the same structure, the magnetic field change due to the unevenness of the coin narrow surface can be measured with high accuracy. I try to do it. Also, Using a magnetic detection element (magnetic detection circuit) makes it possible to detect changes in the magnetic field with high sensitivity. To The in-sensor can be easily manufactured and the cost for the downsizing of the coin sensor can be reduced.
[0006]
The coin inspection device according to the present invention guides an inserted coin. Inclined Coin passage, A magnetic core disposed in the vicinity of the coin passage and having a cross section formed in a substantially T-shape and having a protruding portion; and the protruding portion of the magnetic core is used as a magnetic core, and is wound around the magnetic core. Generate a magnetic field in the coin passage For excitation for Coils, At least a magnetic path that is electromagnetically coupled to the exciting coil and guides a repulsive magnetic field generated near the coin surface of the coin across the magnetic field generated by the exciting coil to a magnetic detection element; A set of rod-shaped magnetic members; Excitation For A signal corresponding to a change in magnetic field when the inserted coin passes through a magnetic field generated in the coin path by a coil is detected. Detection unit for Because The detection unit is electrically connected to a through hole that passes through the protruding portion of the magnetic core and the excitation coil that is wound around the protruding portion of the magnetic core that is inserted through the through hole. In response to a magnetic field change according to the concave and convex pattern on the coin surface when the inserted coin passes through a magnetic field generated in the coin path by the excitation coil A thin plate-like wiring member having at least one set of magnetic detection elements for detecting a detected signal and a second wiring for transmitting a signal detected by the magnetic detection element. Each of the magnetic members is positioned so as to face each other about the excitation coil wound around the protruding portion of the magnetic core, and the tip of each magnetic member maintains the same distance from the wall surface of the coil passage Arrange to do And those that were formed by, Above At least one pair A signal processing means for obtaining a difference between signals detected by the magnetic detection element and outputting a signal corresponding to a change in the signal, and a coin of the inserted coin based on the signal output by the signal processing means And inspection means for inspecting authenticity by identifying features on the surface. According to this, In the vicinity of a coin path that is particularly slanted so that a detection unit optimal for accurately detecting coins with different coin surface patterns can be easily assembled and a magnetic field can be applied correctly to the narrow area of the coin surface on the aisle side. Thus, the detection unit can be accurately arranged. The signal processing means obtains a difference between signals detected by the magnetic detection elements and outputs a signal corresponding to the change in the signal. Thus, only the signal corresponding to the pattern of the coin surface can be extracted by obtaining the difference between the signals detected by the magnetic detection elements. The inspection means inspects the authenticity by identifying the feature of the coin on the coin surface based on the signal output by the signal processing means. As described above, since the coin surface of the coin is identified and checked for authenticity based on the signal corresponding to the change in the signal detected by each magnetic detection element, only the coin surface design (uneven pattern) is different. Thus, it is possible to accurately inspect the authenticity of coins whose material, outer diameter, thickness, etc. are almost the same.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the coin sensor according to the present invention, since the magnetic field can be generated in the narrow area of the coin surface by the exciting coil, when the coin passes through the coin passage, the electromagnetic induction action by the exciting coil is achieved. The eddy current characterized by the coin surface pattern can be remarkably generated near the coin surface, and the repulsive magnetic field characterized by the coin surface pattern can be noticed near the coin surface by the eddy current. Can be generated. In addition, since the two magnetic members of the detection unit are electromagnetically coupled to the exciting coil to form magnetic paths for guiding the repulsive magnetic field to the two magnetic detection elements, respectively, the shape of the coin surface is formed by each of the magnetic detection elements. Since it is possible to detect a signal corresponding to the change in the repulsive magnetic field current caused by the change in the characteristic feature, it is possible to accurately detect coins having different coin surface patterns.
[0036]
Also, according to the coin detection device of the present invention, since it includes the above-described excitation coil and detection unit of the coin sensor, it is characterized according to the pattern of the coin surface in the vicinity of the coin surface by electromagnetic induction action by the excitation coil. An eddy current can be remarkably generated, and a repulsive magnetic field characterized by a coin surface pattern can be remarkably generated near the coin surface by the eddy current. In addition, since the magnetic paths for guiding the repulsive magnetic field to the two magnetic detection elements are formed by the two magnetic members of the detection unit, the change in the repulsive magnetic field current caused by the change in the shape characteristic of the coin surface by each magnetic detection element It is possible to detect a signal corresponding to. Further, the signal processing means obtains a signal corresponding to the change amount of the signal detected by the two magnetic detection elements of the detection unit, and based on the signal, the characteristic on the coin face of the coin is identified by the inspection means. Since the inspection is performed, it is possible to accurately inspect the authenticity of coins whose materials, outer diameters, thicknesses, and the like are almost the same except that the coin surface design (uneven pattern) is different. In this way, since it is possible to accurately detect coins having different coin surface patterns using the excitation coil and the detection unit, it is not necessary to use an optical device as in the past, and thus the structure is simple, In addition, it is possible to provide an inexpensive apparatus and to achieve an excellent effect that a genuineness test can be performed with high accuracy on a variety of coins.
