Description
The present invention relates to a damper device, a damper unit, and a damper device manufacturing method that are provided in the middle of a flow path for supplying liquid to a discharge head of a liquid discharge device such as an ink jet printer device, and that relieves pressure fluctuations of the liquid. .
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in an ink jet printer that is an example of a liquid ejecting apparatus, ink is ejected from an ink cartridge provided in the apparatus main body through a flexible ink supply tube to an ejecting head that reciprocates while facing a recording sheet. The thing which employ | adopted the structure (what is called a tube supply system) which supplies is known. In this printer apparatus, an inertial force acts on the ink in the ink supply tube as the discharge head reciprocates. Therefore, the meniscus formed in the nozzle hole of the discharge head is appropriately generated by the pressure wave resulting from the inertial force. May not be maintained. Therefore, a damper device capable of changing the volume by the pressure of the ink is disposed in the carriage on which the discharge head is mounted in the middle of the ink supply flow path leading to the discharge head, and the pressure wave acting on the ink is applied here. I try to attenuate.
However, in the case of this three-dimensional damper device, the shape of the opening connected to the base material in the bag-like elastic deformation member is limited to a circle, but in such a shape, the entire three-dimensional damper device can be reduced in size. It becomes difficult, or the layout of the ink supply channel for connecting to the plurality of bag-like elastic deformation members provided for each ink color becomes difficult.
That is, when a plurality of bag-like elastic deformable members are arranged in a line according to each ink color, the connecting portion between each bag-like elastically deformable member and the substrate forms a circle. It gets bigger. On the other hand, it is possible to reduce the size by arranging a plurality of bag-like elastic deformation members in a matrix shape with respect to the substrate. In this case, the ink supply flow paths connected to the bag-like elastic deformation members intersect each other. The layout becomes complicated.
Further, as described in the document, the bag-like elastic deformation member is a molded product that has been molded in advance, and its outer shape and thickness are severely limited. It is not easy to ensure the performance (deformation performance against pressure) for each damper provided for each color at low cost and stably.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a damper device that can stably exhibit high damper performance and can simplify the layout of connected flow paths. Another object of the present invention is to provide a damper device that is small and easy to manufacture. Moreover, it aims at providing the damper unit used for such a damper apparatus, and the manufacturing method of a damper apparatus.
A damper device according to the present invention is a damper device that is provided in the middle of a flow path for supplying a liquid to an ejection head having a nozzle hole for ejecting liquid and has a liquid storage chamber for alleviating liquid pressure fluctuations. The storage chamber is formed of at least a pair of support portions which are erected so as to be opposed to each other from the substrate and whose peripheral portions have substantially the same shape, and a flexible film having a sheet shape. Then, the storage chamber is formed as a space having a curved surface defined by the film by connecting the film to each peripheral edge of the pair of support portions.
By adopting such a configuration, it is possible to easily realize a damper device capable of exhibiting high damper performance by changing the volume of the storage chamber three-dimensionally by using an easily available flexible film having a sheet shape. it can. In addition, since the storage chamber defined by the pair of support portions and the film has a rectangular shape in a plan view, even when a plurality of storage chambers are provided, the storage chamber can be efficiently arranged in a small area and introduced. The layout of the road can be made simple.
In addition, a plurality of pairs of the support portions are arranged in parallel so that the facing directions thereof are in parallel, and one storage film is connected to a peripheral portion of the plurality of pairs of the support portions, whereby the storage is performed. A plurality of chambers may be formed side by side. By setting it as such a structure, the storage chamber arranged in parallel can be easily formed with one film.
Further, the storage chamber has a columnar shape extending in the arrangement direction of the pair of support portions, and the cross-sectional shape orthogonal to the arrangement direction may be substantially the same in any location in the arrangement direction. . By setting it as such a structure, since the expansion | deployment shape of the area | region which defines the said storage chamber in a film becomes an exact rectangle, many films can be efficiently obtained from a large format film material.
In addition, the film has a rectangular shape in the unfolded state, and one of the two opposing sides is connected to the peripheral edge of the one support part, and the other side is the peripheral part of the other support part. It may be connected to. By setting it as such a structure, the film to be used is rectangular shape, and many films can be efficiently obtained from a large format film material.
A damper unit according to the present invention constitutes a damper device having a liquid storage chamber that is provided in the middle of a flow path for supplying liquid to a discharge head having a nozzle hole for discharging liquid to relieve pressure fluctuation of the liquid. A damper unit that includes a part of the flow path, and a pair of support parts that are erected so as to be opposed to each other from each of the substrates and that have peripheral edges that have substantially the same shape. And a flexible film having a sheet shape for partitioning the storage chamber is connected to the peripheral portion of the support portion.
By adopting such a configuration, by using an easily available flexible film in the form of a sheet, a damper device that can exhibit high damper performance by changing the volume of the storage chamber three-dimensionally is realized. Can do. Further, since the storage chamber has a rectangular shape in plan view, even when a plurality of storage chambers are provided, the storage chamber can be efficiently arranged in a small area, and the introduction path layout is simplified. be able to.
Moreover, the said support part may comprise a symmetrical shape with respect to the line | wire which connects the base end part connected with the said board | substrate, and the front-end | tip part which is the furthest away from the said board | substrate. With such a configuration, when the film is connected to the periphery of the support portion while being pressed, the pressure distribution is symmetrical with respect to the line connecting the base end portion and the tip end portion. Can be prevented from being displaced and the connection accuracy can be improved. For example, when the film and the support part are heat-welded by heating with a heater, the connection location is easily melted by heat and misalignment occurs, but the pressure distribution becomes symmetric as described above. Misalignment can be prevented.
Further, at least one of the pair of support portions includes a projecting wall portion projecting from the substrate and a wide flange portion extending along the periphery of the projecting wall portion. It may be a thing. By setting it as such a structure, since a film can be connected to a wide flange part, a film can be reliably connected with respect to a support part.
Further, the inner surface of the flange portion may form a contact surface with which a jig for positioning with respect to the heater is contacted when the film is thermally welded to the outer surface. By adopting such a configuration, even if there is some dimensional error in the shape of the support part, the flange part is clamped from inside and outside by the heater and the jig, and the film is securely in contact with the outer surface of the flange part. Can be welded.
Moreover, the said support part may be formed in the same dimension from the base end part connected to the said board | substrate to the front-end | tip part most distant from the said board | substrate. By adopting such a configuration, when heat-welding a plurality of support portions and a film at the same time, the heat transfer to each support portion can be made uniform, and the welding accuracy can be improved. .
The damper device manufacturing method according to the present invention includes a liquid storage chamber that is provided in the middle of a flow path for supplying the liquid to a discharge head having a nozzle hole for discharging the liquid to relieve pressure fluctuations of the liquid. A damper device manufacturing method comprising: a substrate on which a part of the flow path is formed; and a pair of protrusions projecting from the substrate so as to be opposed to each other, each of which has a substantially identical peripheral edge A damper unit having a support portion is formed, and a sheet-like flexible film is connected to the peripheral portion of the support portion to form the storage chamber.
By adopting such a configuration, a damper device that has a storage chamber that can change the volume three-dimensionally and can exhibit high damper performance by a simple process of connecting a film to a pair of support portions. Can be manufactured.
Further, a restraining tool having a pressing surface that substantially matches the peripheral shape of the support portion may be used, and the film may be connected to the peripheral portion while pressing the film against the peripheral portion by the pressing surface. Good. By setting it as such a structure, since a film can be appropriately pressed and hold | maintained with respect to the peripheral part of a support part, connection failures, such as generation | occurrence | production of a wrinkle, can be suppressed.
Further, a portion of the restraining tool corresponding to the tip portion of the support portion may be formed so as to have a slight gap with the tip portion when meshed with the support portion. By adopting such a configuration, even if the support portion is slightly higher than the design size due to manufacturing errors, the film can be brought into close contact with the entire periphery of the support portion by the restraint, and the connection can be made reliably. Can do. That is, it is possible to absorb an error relating to the height dimension of the support portion and obtain a good connection accuracy.
Further, at least one of the pair of support portions includes a projecting wall portion projecting from the substrate and a wide flange portion extending along the periphery of the projecting wall portion. The film may be connected to the outer surface of the flange portion while the positioning jig is brought into contact with the inner surface of the flange portion. By adopting such a configuration, even if there is some dimensional error in the shape of the support portion, the flange portion is clamped from inside and outside by the positioning jig and the restraining tool, and the film is placed on the outer surface of the flange portion. It can be reliably contacted and welded.
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, while being able to exhibit a stable high damper performance, the damper apparatus with which the layout of the connected flow path is simple can be provided, and the damper apparatus which is small and is easy to manufacture Can be provided. Moreover, the damper unit used for such a damper apparatus and the manufacturing method of a damper apparatus can be provided.

In the following description, the direction in which ink is ejected from the ejection head is defined as the lower side, the opposite side is defined as the upper side, and the scanning direction of the ejection head is used synonymously with the left-right direction. The direction is the front-rear direction.

FIG. 5 is a drawing for explaining the configuration of the
7 is an enlarged view of the
As shown in FIG. 7A, each
The configuration of the
Moreover, as shown to Fig.8 (a), the protruding
On the other hand, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a bridge extending in the front-rear direction is formed between the
As shown in FIG. 6, on the upper surface of the
In the present embodiment, the
The
Therefore, in such a
On the other hand, as already described, the
Furthermore, the
[Modification of elastic wall]
By the way, the structure of the
In the case of such an
[Damper device manufacturing method]
Next, regarding the method for manufacturing the
As shown in FIG. 10, in the first step of this manufacturing method, the
Further, a
In the second step, the
Since the
In the next third step, the
FIG. 12 is a view for explaining a process of adsorbing the
Further, the
In addition, the
As shown in Step 3-2 in FIG. 12, the
In the above-described third step shown in FIG. 10, the
As shown in FIG. 11, the
When the predetermined time has elapsed and the welding of the
By welding the
Further, in the manufacturing method according to the present embodiment, even if there are some errors in the height dimensions of the
In the present embodiment, the
