The present invention relates to a button and a method for attaching the button. In particular, the present invention relates to a button composed of a male and female button and a decorative part on the outer surface side through a cloth, and can be attached only by a sewing thread without using a driving machine.

Buttons consisting of male and female buttons are attached to two pieces of fabric with their engaging surfaces facing each other. At that time, the thread for attaching the button is exposed on the outer surface, or the cloth is dented in the shape of the button, which makes it unsightly, and is not preferred for going out and going out.

In the method using the driving machine, since it cannot be installed without such a machine, it cannot be used practically in the home, for example. Moreover, even if there is a driving machine, it is difficult to drive with a thin fabric. Also, in stretch fabrics such as knit products, the holes were widened and the buttons could not be removed.

The present invention has been made to solve these problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a button having a decorative portion on the outer surface side that can be attached without using a driving machine.

In addition, natural products such as shellfish and materials that are easily broken by glass are also used as decorative members in the present invention. Can be used as.

According to the seventh aspect of the present invention, since the male and female buttons are not provided, the fabrics cannot be joined to each other, but can be used for decorating clothes without using a driving machine. Except for the joining of the dough, the same effects as those of the inventions according to claims 1 and 8 are obtained.

The decorative portion includes a base and a surface member that can be fitted into the base. There are various combinations of the base and the surface member.

In an embodiment (Examples 1 and 5 described later), the base is a circular plate whose center is raised and becomes a cylindrical stepped portion. This disk has holes for passing several yarns, and is attached to the fabric with sewing threads through these holes. The button body (female button or male button) and base are preferably attached to the fabric with the same thread at the same time, but may be separate threads. A surface member consists of a leg attached to the decoration disk and the lower part of the decoration disk. The leg portion is a disc having a protrusion protruding in the center. The decorative disk and the leg are integrated by caulking at the respective peripheral edges. The base portion and the surface member are coupled by inserting the protrusions of the leg portions into the through holes of the base portion. When the base is made of metal, it is necessary to provide a threading hole. However, when the base is made of synthetic resin, it is not necessary to provide a threading hole because the sewing needle can be penetrated.

In another embodiment (Example 2 to be described later), the base is a disc whose center is raised and becomes a mushroom-shaped projection. The disk portion has holes for passing several yarns, and is attached to the fabric with sewing threads through these holes. The surface member is made of a thick decorative disc. A recess for receiving the mushroom-shaped protrusion is formed at the bottom of the decorative disc. The base and the surface member are coupled by inserting the mushroom-type protrusion of the base into the recess of the surface member.

In yet another embodiment (Example 3 described later), the base is a disc having a raised peripheral edge. The disk has holes for passing several yarns, and is attached to the fabric with sewing threads through these holes. The surface member is made of a decorative disk with a raised peripheral edge. The base and the surface member are coupled by elastically fitting the peripheral edges of each other.

In yet another embodiment (Example 4 described later), the base is a disc whose peripheral part rises and forms a male screw part there. The disk has holes for passing several yarns, and is attached to the fabric with sewing threads through these holes. The surface member is made of a decorative disc having a raised peripheral edge where an internal thread portion is formed. The base and the surface member are coupled by tightening the screw portions.

According to yet another embodiment (Example 6 described later), the base is a flat disk having a through hole in the center and does not have a columnar step. A surface member consists of a leg attached to the decoration disk and the lower part of the decoration disk. The legs can be engaged with the through holes. Since the cylindrical step portion is not provided, the bonding strength with the leg portion is inferior to that of the above embodiment, but it can be manufactured at low cost.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a state in which the button of the present invention is attached, and shows a female button 1 (FIG. 1A) and a male button 2 (FIG. 1B) separately.

The male button 2 is made of metal and includes an attachment base 21 and an engagement protrusion 22. The attachment base 21 has holes 23 for passing yarns at several places, and is attached to the fabric F1 with sewing threads 24 through the holes. The male button 2 is not different from the conventional one.

The female button 1 is the same as the conventional one except for the decorative portion on the front side. That is, it is a bowl-shaped member 12 having an engaging recess 11 in the center, and the engaging recess 11 is biased by a spring 13 in the center direction. The hook-like member 12 has several holes 14 for passing yarns, and the sewing thread 15 is attached to the fabric F2 through the holes 14.

A feature of the present invention is a decorative portion 3 on the front surface side, which is composed of a base 4 and a surface member 5.

As shown in FIGS. 2 (b-1) and (b-2), the base portion 4 is a disc 42 that is raised at the center to become a cylindrical step portion 41. A through hole 43 is provided at the center of the columnar step portion 41, and a thin portion 44 is radially formed around the through hole 43. The disk portion 42 has holes 45 for passing several yarns, and is attached to the fabric F2 with the sewing thread 15 through the holes 45 (see FIG. 1). The male button 2 and the base 4 are preferably attached to the fabric with the same thread 15 at the same time, but may be separate threads.

As shown in FIG. 2A, the surface member 5 includes a decorative disc 51 and legs 52 attached to the lower part of the decorative disc 51. The decorative disc 51 is a disc on which characters or patterns are engraved or printed on the surface. The leg portion 52 is a disc 54 having a protrusion 53 protruding in the center.

The decorative disc 51 and the leg portion 52 are integrated by caulking at the respective peripheral edge portions. In this example, the peripheral edge 56 of the decorative disc 51 is caulked so as to wrap around the peripheral edge 57 of the leg 52.

The base 4 and the surface member 5 are coupled by inserting the projection 53 of the leg 52 into the through hole 43 of the base 4. This insertion does not require the use of a tool, it only needs to be pushed in with a finger. Since the thin portion 44 is opened after being instantaneously opened when the leg portion is inserted, the thin portion 44 is prevented from coming off. The protrusion 53 and the base 4 are firmly fixed by the frictional force. However, when there is a risk of dropping off, the leg 52 can be provided with a crack for preventing it from coming off.

FIG. 3 shows a second embodiment of the decorative portion 3A on the surface side, which is composed of a base portion 4A and a surface member 5A.

The disk portion 42A has several holes 45A for passing a thread, and is attached to the fabric F2 with the sewing thread 15 through the holes 45A (see FIG. 1).

As shown in FIG. 3A, the surface member 5A is made of a thick decorative disc 51A. The decorative disc 51A is a disc having characters or patterns engraved or printed on its surface. A recess 58 for receiving the cylindrical protrusion is formed at the bottom of the decorative disc.

The base 4A and the surface member 5A are joined by inserting the mushroom-type protrusion 41A of the base 4A into the recess 58 of the surface member 5A. This insertion does not require the use of a tool, it only needs to be pushed in with a finger. The mushroom-type protrusion 41A and the recess 58 are firmly fixed by frictional force. However, when there is a risk of dropping off, it is preferable to provide the mushroom-type protrusion 41A with a burr 46 for preventing it from coming off.

FIG. 4 shows a third embodiment of the decorative portion 3B on the front surface side, which comprises a base portion 4B and a surface member 5B.

As shown in FIGS. 4B-1 and 4B-2, the base 4B is a disc 42B with a raised peripheral edge 47. The circular plate 42B has several holes 45B for passing yarns, and is attached to the fabric F2 with the sewing thread 15 through the holes 45B (see FIG. 1).

As shown in FIG. 4A, the surface member 5B includes a decorative disc 51B having a raised peripheral portion 56B. The decorative disc 51B is a disc having characters or patterns engraved or printed on its surface.

The base portion 4B and the surface member 5B are joined by elastically fitting the peripheral edge portions 47 and 56B to each other. This insertion does not require the use of a tool, it only needs to be pushed in with a finger. The mutual peripheral edge portions 47 and 56B are firmly fixed by elastic force.

FIG. 5 shows a fourth embodiment of the decorative portion 3C on the front surface side, which includes a base portion 4C and a surface member 5C.

As shown in FIGS. 5B-1 and 5B-2, the base portion 4C is a disc 42C in which a peripheral edge portion 47C rises and forms a male screw portion 48 there. 2 differs from the first embodiment of FIG. 2 in that the base 4E is made of synthetic resin, the disk 42E is not provided with the threading hole 45, and the columnar step 41 is not provided. Since there is no cylindrical step part 41, it is the flat disc 42E which has a through-hole in the center. In order to attach the base 4D to the fabric, it is only necessary to sew the fabric with the sewing thread while making a small hole in the synthetic resin base 4D directly with a sewing needle instead of the previously provided threading hole.

FIG. 8 is a seventh embodiment showing a state in which the decorative portion 3F is attached to the surface side of the male member 2F of the button. It can be considered that the decorative portion 3F in FIG. 1 has moved to the surface side of the male member 2F of the button. The decorative portion 3F includes a base portion 4F and a surface member 5F. In this embodiment, even when the leg portion 52F of the decorative portion 3F is long, the cloth F1 can be bitten into the inner cavity 22F 'of the engagement protrusion 22F, so that the engagement force can be increased. Although not shown, at this time, as the decorative portion 3F, those shown in the second embodiment (FIG. 3) to the sixth embodiment (FIG. 7) can also be used.

FIG. 9 is an eighth embodiment showing a state in which the decorative portion 3G is attached to the fabric F3 regardless of the buttons. It can be considered that the female button 1 is removed from FIG. 1 (a) or the male button 2F is removed from FIG. 8 (b).
