Description
According to the present invention, an IP packet communication device connected to an IP (Internet Protocol) network has a duplex configuration, and the IP packet communication device is switched to a standby IP packet communication device when a failure occurs in an active IP packet communication device. It is about the system.
アナログ電話機201にLC(Line Card)、RSBM(Remote SuBscriber Module)を介してIPパケット通信装置202及びIPパケット通信装置203が二重化構成として接続される。
A conventional duplex system for an IP packet communication apparatus will be described with reference to FIG.
An IP packet communication device 202 and an IP packet communication device 203 are connected to the analog telephone 201 as a duplex configuration via an LC (Line Card) and an RSBM (Remote SuBscriber Module). The IP packet communication device 202 and the IP packet communication device 203 are connected to a layer 2 switch 205 via a LAN (Local Area Network)
IPパケット通信装置202及びIPパケット通信装置203は、それぞれA/D(アナログ/デジタル)変換部211及び221、DSP(Digital Signal Processor)212及び222、UDP(User Datagram Protocol)処理部213及び223、IP処理部214及び224、MAC(Media Access Control)処理部215及び225、PHY(Physical Layer Device)216及び226から構成される。
The IP packet communication device 202 and the IP packet communication device 203 include A / D (analog / digital)

コネクション手段については、IP電話であれば、SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)、megaco(Media Gateway Control)などが一般的である。 First, in the current state, the IP packet communication device 202 is operated as an active system and the IP packet communication device 203 is operated as a standby system. For example, it is assumed that telephone voice data is being communicated between the IP packet communication apparatus 202 and the opposite NW apparatus 207, and the voice data is transmitted and received using RTP at that time. In this case, the communication connection has already been completed and only media data is transferred. As connection means, in the case of an IP phone, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), megaco (Media Gateway Control), etc. are common.
PHY216ではMII(Media Independent Interface)フォーマット変換され、MAC処理部215に渡される。
The media packet output from the opposite NW device 207 is switched via the
Normally, when the IP packet communication device 202 and the opposite NW device 207 are communicating with each other, the ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) packet is periodically output by both sides, and when the response to the ARP is returned, the ARP table or the like is obtained by each own device. It learns and tries to maintain the communication state unless the connection is terminated.
If the communication state is normal, the IP packet communication device 203 is a standby device, so nothing is done.
Thereafter, it is assumed that a failure has occurred in the IP packet communication device 202. As a cause of the failure, in the case where the
However, there are the following problems in the prior art.
The counter NW device 207 that is the communication partner of the IP packet communication device 202 determines that the IP packet communication device 202 is out of order, and the counter NW device 207 needs to switch the communication partner. In other words, a processing with a load occurs in the normal opposing NW device 207.
For example, when the opposite NW device 207 distributes a large amount of data such as a media server to a plurality of clients, if a plurality of such failures occur simultaneously, the opposite NW device 207 becomes overloaded, and the service (media data Distribution, etc.) may not be maintained normally.
Further, until the communication is restored, the media packet from the opposite NW device 207 reaching the layer 2 switch 205 due to the absence of the IP packet communication device 202 from the network is broadcast by the layer 2 switch 205, and the network In some cases, media packets from the opposite NW device 207 overflow.
In addition, a case where a failure state continues for a long time depending on the state of the opposing NW device 207 is also assumed.
In order to solve such a problem, a duplex system for an IP packet communication device according to the present invention includes a first IP packet communication device and a second IP packet communication device that transmit and receive digital data as IP packets, and a first IP packet. In an IP packet communication device duplex system comprising a layer 2 switch connected to a communication device and a second IP packet communication device,
The first IP packet communication device has an IP address and a MAC address for the active system and the standby system, and the second IP packet communication device has the same IP for the active system and the standby system as the first IP packet communication device. The second IP packet communication device has an address and a MAC address, and the second IP packet communication device has a destination detection unit that detects a destination IP address from the received IP packet, and there is a failure in the active first IP packet communication device. When the IP packet is broadcast from the layer 2 switch, the standby second IP packet communication device receives the broadcast IP packet, and the received IP packet is an IP address to the first IP packet communication device. And the IP address and MAC address of the second IP packet communication device are detected as the IP address for the active system. And it switches to the active system to the second IP packet communication apparatus by substituting the MAC address.
As an effect of the invention, according to the IP packet communication device duplex system of the present invention, network route reconstruction, failure detection, and switching of IP packet communication devices can be performed quickly without applying any load to the opposing NW device 207. Can be done.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIG. In FIG. 1 described below, components and portions that are substantially the same as or equivalent to those of the prior art are denoted by the same reference numerals as those in FIG.
The configuration of the IP packet communication device duplex system will be described with reference to FIG.
The IP packet communication apparatus 101 and the IP packet communication apparatus 102 are connected to the analog telephone 201 as a duplex configuration via LC and RSBM. The IP packet communication device 101 and the IP packet communication device 102 are connected to the layer 2 switch 205 via the

The IP packet communication device 101 and the IP packet communication device 102 have an active system IP address and MAC address, and a standby system IP address and MAC address. The IP packet communication apparatus 101 and the IP packet communication apparatus 102 have the same active IP address and MAC address, and the standby IP address and MAC address are also the same.

The
Here, it is assumed that the IP packet communication apparatus 101 is operated as an active system and the IP packet communication apparatus 102 is operated as a standby system. Therefore, the IP packet communication apparatus 101 uses the IP address and MAC address for the active system, and the IP packet communication apparatus 102 uses the IP address and MAC address for the standby system.
Next, the operation of the IP packet communication device duplex system will be described.
The media packet output from the opposite NW device 207 is input to the
The layer 2 switch 205 deletes the MAC address of the IP packet communication apparatus 101 from the MAC address table by detecting the link disconnection of the IP packet communication apparatus 101. Media packets received by the layer 2 switch 205 from the opposite NW device 207 are output as broadcast packets in the layer 2 switch 205 to all ports of the connected IP packet communication device. That is, the IP packet communication device 101 is specified as the IP address, but the MAC address is unknown, so the media packet is transmitted to the PHY of an unspecified number of IP packet communication devices with the broadcast address as FF-FF-FF-FF. Is done.
In the IP packet communication device 102, since the media packet from the opposite NW device 207 is broadcast, the packet is received through the
